Ruby Rose's Harem Chapter 1 - Welcome to Beacon

A black-haired girl with red highlights in her hair was staring out the window of the airship she was in. The view over the city of Vale was simply amazing! The red cape she was wearing made her stand out a bit, but those didn't matter at this point. She was recalling what has happened to cause all of this. All she did was try to stop an orange-haired criminal from robbing a dust shop. And what were the chances of encountering a professor of Beacon Academy while she was at it, and then get a chance to also meet the headmaster of the same Academy, the school that she desired so deadly to enter! And even for them to let her into the Academy two years earlier than others! Ruby tried to enjoy the view peacefully, however, that peace didn't last long since she was hugged, or more like "tackled" by her very enthusiastic sister.

"Oh my god, I can't believe my baby sister's going to Beacon Academy with me!"

"Ugh Yang, as much as I love you, I would like some air flowing through my lungs."

"Oh right."

The yellow-haired girl giggled as she let go of her sister. The yellow-haired girl with a pair of purple eyes stared at her younger sister with a loving eye. She was just too happy to believe all these! Her dearest sister, the one whom she didn't want to be separated from was now going to attend the same school as her. How great was this! The two started to have a conversation about how the younger one didn't want to be special, but just a normal girl with normal needs.

However, her sister did not seem to agree with that. Anyways, their somewhat serious conversation was interrupted by the news about an organization made up of Faunus, the "White Fang" and soon after was "greeted" by Glynda Goodwitch, the airship slowly docked and people started to get off the ship. Of course, let's not forget about the guy who decided to throw up using the trash can as a form of support.

As soon as they landed, Yang basically ditched Ruby and ran off with her friends, and when she did, Ruby was startled and lost her balance. She tried to regain her balance, but it was no use.

"Woah.. Where am, I, supposed, to-"

Before she could even finish her sentence, she stumbled and fell on top of someone's luggage, letting all the luggage spread everywhere on the ground.

"Hey! Do you have any idea of what you have done just now?!"

"Oh! Woah-I, I'm sorry!"

When Ruby looked up as she apologized, she was able to see a girl who had her white hair tied in a ponytail by the side of her head. She had sapphire-colored eyes and was wearing all white, from top to bottom. Let's just say this: she did not look like the nicest person in Remnant.

"Seriously. You could've sent both of us off the cliff!"

The girl in red just giggled nervously as she didn't know what she could say. As Ruby tried to come up with something to say, that will hopefully calm the other girl down, the girl in white looked down at her before squinting her eyes as she was trying to remember something.

"You."

"Y-yes?"

"What's your name?"

"Umm, Ru-Ruby Rose. Yours?"

The girl looked like she was deep in thought, completely ignoring Ruby's question. Ruby just stared at the girl awkwardly, hoping that she would give an answer, but that didn't happen. Instead, the girl in white just asked another question.

"Have we... met somewhere before?"

Ruby took a good look at the girl's face before standing up, trying to brush the dust off her clothes. She shrugged as she answered.

"I don't think so. If I've ever met a girl so pretty like you, I would've remembered. Unless it was when I was like 5, then I don't know."

"Wha-wha-"

The girl's face turned red, got angry, and started to yell something at Ruby which she could not understand at all. The girl was speaking English, but she just wasn't making any sense with her words.

"I believe this is yours."

Intense yelling came to a stop when they were intruded by a new voice. The owner of the voice was tall, slim, had beautiful amber eyes and a bow on top of her head. And let's not forget about her outfit. All black. The complete opposite of the white-haired girl. She held out a bottle of dust to the white-haired girl. The girl stared at her for a second before snatching the bottle away. She quickly added "thanks" under her breath.

"And I also believe that I know you. Weiss Schnee. The heiress of the Schnee Dust Company."

The girl called Weiss started to say something about her company and whatnot, however, Blake simply cut her off by saying things that… Weiss necessarily did not want to hear about it. You know, some things about the unfair labor work of Faunus. Of course, Weiss got angry and once again started yelling something that the other two could not understand at all.

"Um... Um... Hey! So… My, my name is Ruby Rose! What's yours?"

And Ruby Rose, the socially awkward, have thought that now was the best time to introduce herself to the amber eye girl. Well, it did stop Weiss from freaking out so I guess it did work out in some ways. Maybe.

"Blake Belladonna."

"Nice to meet you!"

Blake simply nodded instead of responding with words like any other normal people would've done.

"Um well... Let's stop fighting and I don't know ... maybe... talk it out..? I mean I'm not saying that we weren't talking but-erm..."

Ruby stumbled upon her words not knowing what to say, which made Weiss face-palm and Blake to just blankly stare at her.

"Why don't-don't we… maybe... be... friends...?"

And that was enough to catch both of their attention. Though, in a bad way. Weiss looked up with a confused expression on her face, and Blake simply stared at Ruby raising her brow.

"Urgh, I mean-!"

Now Ruby really wanted to smack herself for saying something like that. Yea, first fall on top of the stranger's luggage and watch that person get in a fight with another. Interrupt them by introducing yourself then ask both of them to become your friends. Great idea. How could that possibly go wrong?

"This is stupid."

Weiss rolled her eyes as she gave the dust bottle to the person that was beside her with the luggage the whole time. Blake stood still staring down at the shorter girl. When Weiss started to walk off, Ruby started to chase after her. Though, she stopped, looked back at Blake asking her to follow along, or at least wait for her while she went to Weiss without using her words. Blake, thinking that the girl was well, interesting, followed along as Ruby ran and basically jumped on top of Weiss causing both of them to fall down straight on to the pavement.

"What are you doing?!"

"Do-Don't leave!"

"What?!"

"Let's... Let's talk...?"

Ruby gave Weiss her typical puppy eyes which pretty much could get her out of ANYTHING. According to Yang, Ruby's older sister, those puppy eyes of her would even bail her out of jail. She didn't give it a try(yet), but if Weiss ever heard Yang say that before, she would've totally agreed to that. Blake came over, saw what kind of face Ruby was making, and thought that Weiss wouldn't be able to say 'no' to that. I mean, it was just that effective.

"Ugh fine! Now get off of me!"

Weiss pushed Ruby off of her, stood up, and then brushed some dust off of her knees.

"Yay! Blake you too!"

And Blake simply nodded again.

"But before we do anything, we really need to go to the auditorium."

"Oh well... about that... where is the auditorium...? I'm kind of lost..."

Weiss sighed with a facepalm and just motioned Ruby to follow her. Of course, this idiot didn't know where the auditorium was!

"Oh, Ruby!"

"Yang!"

The sisters hugged each other as if they were seeing each other for the first time in 10 years or so.

"So, how was it?"

"Yang look! I met new people!"

"Friends?"

Ruby hesitated. They weren't close enough to be called "friends", but they weren't complete strangers either. I mean, she did ask them both to become her friends, but they didn't quite say "yes" to that offer yet. So would she be able to call them her friends? Now that was some hard questions that were hard for Ruby, the socially awkward.

"Erm well... Not yet? But soon it will be!"

At Ruby's comment, Yang looked over her shoulder to find a girl all in white, who looked stressed out, and a girl all in black, who looked calm.

"Two girlfriends already, ey?"

"Yang! They're not my girlfriends! Heck, we're not even friends yet!"

"So... Some-soon-to-be-girlfriends."

Yang said with a smirk on her face. Which only caused Ruby to yell her name out in anger.

"Yang!"

"Jeez, chill Rubes. I was only joking."

Ruby rolled her eyes and made an annoyed face. Although Ruby did look a little annoyed, it seemed as if she was used to this type of conversation, only proving that Yang liked to tease her sister like this very often. Blake just observed them as if she was watching some kind of comedy show(she wasn't laughing or anything though), but on the other hand, Weiss looked VERY irritated. She was constantly yelling things like "I'm not a girlfriend of a dolt like her!" and Blake had to calm her down.

"No, but seriously sis. You tend to flirt with everyone you talk to. It's only a matter of a time that you get a girlfriend or two. Or a boyfriend."

"I don't flirt with people!"

"Yeah right."

Yang winked, not taking her sister's word. Ruby was about to argue a little more, but the headmaster of Beacon, Ozpin, and Professor Glynda Goodwitch appeared on the stage, which made people settle down.

"I'll keep this brief-"

After Ozpin's short speech and Glynda's announcement, the students went off on their own. They either stayed at the auditorium talking to their friends or went somewhere else to take a short break. While they were at it, Ruby wanted to carry on some conversation with these new people, so, she started off very awkwardly.

"Hey so... Do you guys wanna do anything before we need to um... come back here?"

"Not really."

Blake said as she went to the corner of the auditorium, and sat against the wall opening up her book.

"I'm exhausted."

Weiss said as she glared at Ruby. When Ruby saw that, she started to panic and swung her arms in the air trying to protest.

"Wha-and that's my fault?!"

Weiss simply glared at her, not giving her an answer.

"Jeez sis, what have you done?"

"Nothing! I mean-I almost blew myself and Weiss off the cliff, but-!"

"Woah hold on. You almost what?"

That kind of meaningless, but entertaining conversation went on until it was time for everyone to gather up at the auditorium. It was mostly Yang and Ruby talking, but Weiss decided to insult Ruby once in a while, and Blake either nodded or hummed every so and then.

"So... What are you doing sis?"

Yang asked as she laid on her sleeping bag. Ruby laying on her stomach, writing on a paper trying to recall every little tiny detail of what had happened today.

"Writing a letter to my friends back at Signal."

"Aww, that's cute."

Ruby threw a pillow in her face to keep her shut. Weiss was beside Ruby, brushing her hair, and Blake was still at her own little corner, reading her book. Ruby wrote a little more but soon gave up on continuing with the letter while her sister constantly bothered her, and instead went up to Blake.

"What are you reading?"

"Huh?"

"The book you're reading. What is it about?"

Ruby succeeded in carrying on some actual conversation with Blake and sat beside her talking about the books she likes.

"Huh, it looks like my sister got a way to carry on a conversation with that emo girl."

Weiss stared at the two, silently agreeing with Yang's comment.

"Books, huh? Your sister doesn't look like the type to read."

"I agree with you. But heck, all she ever does are kill some Grimm, train, and read!"

"Oh, is that so? She seemed more like a type to... well, annoy and tackle people."

"Eh, you're not wrong. She's... Well, both. She can be quiet and emo. Just training, killing and reading with absolutely no communication going on with other human beings. But once you become friends with her..."

Yang paused, staring at her sister who was now giggling talking to Blake about who knows what.

"She can be like a bull. Just jump on top of people and give them a hug."

"I've seen her do that. More like, already got enough experience of such-well, unmannered acts. What should I say? Been there done that? And it's only the first day of school! I can't believe that I was tackled down to the ground on the first day."

Weiss said as she groaned. I mean, yes she was with them the whole day, but that didn't mean the impression she had on that Ruby girl changed the slightest bit from the morning! Weiss rolled her eyes as she gave another glare at Ruby, and went inside her sleeping bag lying down.

"Well, then your first impression of her must've been-"

"Awful."

Yang simply laughed at Weiss's comment.

"Well Ice Queen, you'll get used to it. In fact, you'll get to love my sister's presence in the future. I bet you."

"Ugh, I'm gonna be enjoying the presence of an enthusiastic tackling bull? Sure that sounds realistic. And don't call me an Ice Queen."

Yang gave her a knowing smile before she looked at Blake and Ruby.

"Well... I've seen that happen before and... I think someone's already loving my little sister's company."

Weiss looked up only to see Blake softly smiling as she carried on a conversation with Ruby.

"Whatever."

"You'll know better soon."

Yang sighed as she went inside her sleeping bag. Weiss didn't reply. She wasn't asleep. She just didn't find a need to reply to Yang's comment. She peeked at the two girls leaning against the wall, who finally decided that it was time for bed. Ruby flopped on top of her sleeping bag, spreading her typical scent of cookies and rose in the air. Ruby snuggled inside her sleeping bag and said goodnight to everyone as she instantly fell asleep.

A/N If you've read my chapters before the remake, then you might notice that there really weren't any changes to the plot yet XD The first few chapters would pretty much be the same, but there may be slight changes as the story continues. I mean, it is the remake, so some parts will stay the same, and some parts will change. Anyways, thanks for reading! Please feel free to point out any errors or such!
