As Ash was Preparing for his match tomorrow, he already had 2 Pokémon planned out, Servine and Gabite, but he had trouble with the last one. He contemplated using Pikachu, but that would be too predictable. Ash then went outside for a walk. Sophocles yelled to him, "Ash, over here!" Ash sprinted over to his good friend, and Sophocles could tell he had some stress. "What's the matter Ash, are you feeling good." Ash then replied not to enthusiastically "No, it's just that I don't know who to use tomorrow, I already have Servine and Gabite but ok idea in who to use next." Sophocles then said "Well since Acerola specializes in Ghost types, use a ghost or dark type. Probably Dark since Ghost is super effective on ghost." Ash then smiled. "Sophocles you're a genius! I know just the perfect one for this task"! He ran to the Pokémon center as Sophocles was going back to his room.
Next morning:
Ash awoke with his 3 Pokémon ready. As his classmates asked him who he's using he didn't tell any of them except for Sophocles. Lusmaine then called, "Hello Ultra Guardians, Lusmaine here and I have a little present for you. Seeing as his the league is starting and how much you've bonded with your ride Pokémon I've decided you can use them for this league." They all jumped up in excitement but then they all realized something. Since Shaymin wasn't able to be used in the league because it's not technically owned by mallow and Lillie only has vulpix not counting altaria they all had thought about how to solve it. Ash then had a realization. "Lana, you know how you have a ride lapras, you can let Lillie borrow dragonair while mallow has Garchomp. So we can each have at least 3 Pokémon and then in the 6 v 6 I'll let you all borrow some of mine." They all agreed, even the ride Pokémon. Kiawe's match was up first, and it was a victory for him, 3-1, Then Sophocles had his in which he BARELY won, it was a lucky shot as Vikavolt learned thunderbolt. Now it was Ash's turn. "Acerola, just so you know I have competed in 6 leagues before, so I don't plan on losing. This league will finally be the one me and my Pokémon win." Acerola replied with "Ash, you sure haven't changed and lets have a great battle!. Ash agreed. "Rapooh, Time to battle!" "Servine, I choose you!" Ash got the 1st move and yelled "Attract" The Serpent replied with "Servine ser". Since Rapooh (who is a acerolas gengar in the anime if you didn't know" is a male he fell in love with her. "Rapooh snap out of it!" Yelled Acerola. "Servine, use Leaf Storm" it was a direct hit but Rapooh awoke. "Rapooh, use Shadow Ball!" Servine took a direct hit, causing some damage. "Shadow Puch, Rapooh". "Servine, counter with Leaf blade hit boost yourself with Vinewhip" As the two moves collided, Servine overpowered Rapooh and got a critical hit. "Gengar is unable to battle, Acerola send out your next Pokémon!" "Mudsdale, I choose you!" Ash was shocked, as Mudsdale was a ground type. But he then remembered how he got to Tapu Bulu's ruins, with that same musdale. "Use Fissure" Acerola yelled. Ash had no time to react, so Servine fell. "Servine is unable to battle, Mudsdale is the winner!" Ash then apologized to servine. "Gabite, I choose you!" "Start off with Iron Head!"
