Dad, We Smashed A Time-Turner

Chapter Two

Harry dropped his groceries on a nearby chair. "Who are you guys?", he asked, looking confused at the sight of his two children that had travelled nine years in time. "Ginny, Ron, Hermione!", he shouted up the stairs. "What's wrong Harry?", Hermione questioned. As she said this, Ginny and Ron thundered down the stairs after her. At the sight of Ginny, the children jumped into Harry's arms. "We didn't mean to, Mummy!", the youngest of the boys sobbed. "It was all James' fault-"

"No, it wasn't, Albus!"

Albus ignored James.

"But the necky-lace with the pretty hourglass broke and-and glittery things fell all onto us! And then we fell onto the floor here!"

"Mummy, don't yell at us", the eldest of the boys whispered. Ginny looked shocked at being called 'Mummy' but hugged the boys all the same. "I won't be angry", she reassured them. Harry looked at his girlfriend, who nodded at Hermione, who had a frown on her face. "It must be a time-turner", Hermione murmured. "These boys must be yours and Ginny's children in the future." Ron, who everyone had forgotten about, opened his mouth. Hermione raised a finger for silence. "But he knocked up my little sister!", Ron muttered, annoyed.

At Ron's words, James looked up at Ginny. "Mummy, where's your tummy? You said that our little sister was inside there!", he said. Ron's face turned red at James' words. Harry blushed. Ginny's face was blank. "Ok James and Albus, how about you guys go up with Mummy and Daddy for a nap, ok?", Harry said, his face still tinted pink. "Yay!", Albus said happily. James, however, looked sceptical. "But Daddy! I don't need a nap! I'm a big boy now!", he pouted.

"I know, James, but you'll get tired!"

"No I won't!"

"James..."

"Fine", James said, casting a cautious look towards Ginny.

Once the boys were tucked in in Harry's bed, Harry joined the Ron at the table.

"So...", Ron said, raising an eyebrow at Harry. "Sorry, Ron", Harry said shamelessly. "But I do love her, you know"

"Enough to have kids with her?"

"Yes"

"Fine, Ron said grumpily. "I suppose we're all going to do it one day anyway."

Harry smiled. "Thanks, Ron."

"Take care of her, Harry."

"I will."

Just then, Hermione and Ginny returned to the table. "Ginny and I were reading some books.", Hermione said. "We've figured out how to send the kids back" "But we're going to have to go to the Ministry of Magic to get permission, Harry." Harry turned pale. "Not the Time Floo Network?", asked, hoping that it wasn't true. Both Ginny and Hermione looked troubled. "It is the Time Floo, Harry", Ginny said, equally as pale as Harry was. Ron looked petrified. "But you could end up killing your future kids!", he said, looking scared. "And your future selves!", he added. Harry's heart was beating against his chest. "What if it Time Floo isn't the only way?", he whispered, frightened for his future children.

Hermione looked up at him, her expression sombre.

"The thing is, Harry, it is."
