I lay over the nasty floor like I was carried about like a sack of potatoes. I sat up wondering what had happened to me in the beginning, but suddenly remembering Andrew's brutal attacks, I looked at my arm... To find my arm clean and my hand still in place. Of course, I was a bit shocked, but my body was still bloody all over. I looked around and found myself in a cell room. I stood up and grip the bars of the cell and called out to anyone who could hear me.

Sadly, no one heard me. I reached for my phone and found that Malachi has been messaging me AND calling me numerous times. I knew I might have no signal, but I was shocked that I was able to send a message.

Malachi: What happened to you?

Me: Andrew dragged me to this some cell.

Malachi: Can you get out of there?

Me: I'm locked in.

Malachi: I can come over and help you...

Me: No... If Andy finds out that another guy is helping me; he'll think I'm cheating on him.

Malachi: No way... He's hurting you physically.

Me: But my arm is still connected... Strange.

Malachi: I'm not playing any of your games, Rachel. Are you seriously married and a mother?!

Me: What does it have to do with me married and a mother?

Malachi: Well, it was just strange how I wanted to date a girl who is married already...

Me: Then, you shouldn't be helping me.

Malachi: What the what?! This Andrew of yours is hurting you physically. Not accepting it as a matter of husband-wife play. He's hurting you!

Me: I know this is not his side, Malachi.

Malachi: That's it... We were friends and I developed a close bond with you... And today, I find out that you are a wife and a mother to your husband's child... I hate you!

Me: Malachi... please... I wish I knew, but he saved my life.

Malachi:

Me: Malachi?

Malachi:

I shut my phone off. I was losing friends left and right. I wished I could've been safer in the hospital so that I wouldn't have been kidnapped in the first place. I sat on the nasty floor, crying my eyes out. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I looked to see a new message. I checked to see Malachi did answer me.

Malachi: Hey, I'm sorry... I got to thinking. I am just jealous that you are a lucky girl. I never thought that someone would love you despite your past situations.

I didn't answer, 'cause I was still crying. I ignored Malachi's reply, thinking that he was thinking that I was a whore. I heard my phone vibrate and I looked to see his alarming message: Where are you?

Me: Still sitting here...

Malachi: Why didn't you answer me?

Me: I thought maybe you think that I was a whore.

Malachi: Lol, seriously? I just got my flesh in the way. That's called jealousy, Rachel.

I couldn't help but smile. Wait a minute? Why was I very comfortable talking to Malachi than talking to Andrew? I recalled that when I was pregnant with AJ, he wanted sex the minute he found out... He has been pretty forceful lately. I could imagine Malachi's happy attitude in the middle of such private time that I felt my body leap... But I was married to Andrew...

Suddenly, Andrew came over to my cage. I was scared of him for the first time that I remembered. He was so different. He inserted a key into the lock and thrust the door open. I couldn't believe my eyes, was he drunk?

"Andrew? What happened to you?"

Andrew turned to me and grabbed for my throat. I screamed as he forced his hands tight about my neck, "Stop!"

Andrew said in an angry voice, "You whore! You should've known better! I told you to stay away and you came!"

I was trying to breathe my way out of this. I said, "But our son!"

Andrew stared into my eyes, "What about him? If you don't listen to me, I might as well have him taken from you!"

I couldn't believe how forceful my husband was. I felt my phone vibrate several times. I knew someone was calling me. When Andrew rammed me up against the wall, I heard a faint voice. I grew scared. Andrew roared and threw me against the wall. I could only scream for help. In return, I heard Malachi's voice and a click. He had to help me. I took out my handgun and faced it to Andrew, "Stop... You have no right to hurt me as your wife."

Andrew grabbed my hand and aimed the gun in my face. I was struggling so much for safety that he threw me unto the bed and left the cell and locked it, "You'll pay for this, Rachel."

I lay on the bed and curled myself together. I was scared of Andrew and I remained quiet for the rest of the day.

I woke up to the sound of the lock being unlocked. The door opened wide and I cuddled myself together for safety. I felt a secure hand on my shoulder as I heard a faint voice, "Rachel... Rachel. Wake up."

I turned over to see Malachi. I haven't seen him in almost two, three years. I was surprised, "Malachi... What are you doing here?"

Malachi took hold my shoulders and said, "I've come to save you."

"No... Everything's... Everything's fine. Nothing to worry about, really."

"Then, why did you tell me that Andrew was hurting you? Explain all the bruises and cuts on your face."

I stood up, I felt out of my own mind. I turned, "Come with me. We need to hurry."

Malachi raised an eyebrow, "Where? Why?"

"There's no time. Daddy's coming."

"Daddy? Your dad is in Florida."

"Malachi, daddy's coming. I know a way where we can hide. Come with me."

Malachi followed me through a narrow path. I went ahead, feeling like I knew the way. I led Malachi through the horrible spots that I myself was grossed about. Finally, I came to a room where I sat on a chair and said, "This is the place."

Malachi decided to look around for a place to escape. Meanwhile, I sat quiet, watching him. As he came around, I saw someone with him, "Malachi, behind you..."

Malachi turned and said, "What? What is it, Rachel?"

I pointed, "It's him... He's going to kill you... like he killed me."

Malachi was staring at me. His hands were spread out, and was coming closer to me, "Rachel... You need help. No one is behind me."

"Yes, he is. He's right there! He's got a knife! He's going to kill you!"

Malcahi hugged me as I screamed. Malachi was still standing when I pulled myself away from him. He was fine, as though nothing touched him. I felt my body being controlled. I said, "Run... He's coming."

"Rachel... THE WALL! Look out!"

Instead of stopping, I burst through the wall and ran, screaming. Malachi was calling my name, and telling me that everything was alright... What was happening to me?

I felt my body controlled. I started to wish everything was different. I thought of Andy, my son. My heart broke as I opened my eyes...

I was in front of Malachi. He was terrified of me, holding his hands up against his face. I saw a knife in my hand. I dropped it right next to his side. I looked at Malachi, who was now slowly unveiling his face. I saw my crime... What did I do?

Malachi sat up and said, "Rachel... What's going on? You have been trying to kill me."

He was so calm, yet ready to defend. I was crying, "I don't know..."

Malachi hugged me, not caring that I was married. I cried on his shoulder, begging for forgiveness. All he said was, "I love you."

I stood up as Malachi helped himself up. We looked into each other's eyes and he said, "We need to fix this. Something is not right and whatever it is, you have been affected. Come over here, let's wash your face... You don't look so precious with your dry blood on that face."

Malachi took out a handkerchief and dumped it in some water. I felt the cold water on my face as he gently rubbed the dry blood off my face. I looked at him, feeling very uncomfortable about what was going on... Whatever it was, I'm glad I snapped out of it in time.
