Hi everyone.

This isn't really the 2nd chapter of to have loved and lost (is the second best thing) but more of an Author's Note update. In the first place, I always intended this story to be a one-shot. But who knows? I might add a second chapter with an alternate ending that doesn't follow canon material.

Thank you to everyone who read and reviewed this story! Not just this particular fic, but also to my other (sadly unfinished) stories. This isn't like Archive of our Own where you can reply to every review, so I'll just take this opportunity to say that I really appreciate all the constructive criticism and encouraging messages that everyone has stated. Hamhjolf Stormcrown, PLEASE don't throw yourself off a cliff!

To anyone who's curious on how I came up with this story:

I'm actually surprised that people like this (somewhat) crack pairing of Tanjirou and Kagome. I wrote this in a fleeting moment of inspiration. Tbh, this was written mostly as an attempt to examine how Tanjirou would cope with falling in love considering his personality.

A flustered!Tanjirou is something I need in life. Our kind, sunshine boi deserves love dammit! He deserves to have a ride or die chick like Higurashi to take care of him and to make him happy, instead of him being the one to always comfort everyone. I mean, I love that about him, but still.

Anyway, I also sort of wished that Kagome ended up with a guy who could be more gentle with her and someone who was able to temper her stubborn moments, but still find it a charming aspect of her.

(Typing this has actually made me consider making another Tanjirou/Kagome fic. What the heck.)

(Also, can someone make that Sango/Kyojuro fic? They match so well. Come to think of it, Kikyo/Kyojuro isn't so bad also. I'm a sucker for crackships.)

So after that very lengthy explanation-

I MIGHT write another KnY/Inuyasha crossover fic, but it's more expansive and has not just Kagome, but also Inuyasha (and possible other characters like Sesshomaru, hmmm), interacting with the characters in Kimetsu no Yaiba. It's going to be a dimension!travel fic full of shenanigans of epic proportions since I'm so fond of those. I don't want to spoil any more details, just that it's mainly going to be having that action/adventure genre, with a big emphasis on the mystery factor. It's far more entertaining to read a story where both parties don't exactly know who or what they're dealing with.

Before anyone asks about pairings, I'm still thinking about it. Most likely, it would be a slowburn romance. Tanjirou/Kagome is a crackship that surprisingly a number of people like (there are fics of them written by others, I'm happy that others see the potential), so it might happen. THAT dynamic would be interesting. Or I could just follow the canon storyline and not change the pairings. Or even have someone other than Inuyasha develop feelings for Kagome, or the other way around, making her be the one to develop affections for someone. Or maybe it'll just be a gen-fic, no romance at all, or if there is, only small hints of it. I'm just as clueless as you guys, so I'm hoping you can share your thoughts about it.
