Chapter two!

I whirl around to see a boy with a pale, pointed face, platinum blonde hair, and mysterious gray eyes. "What are you doing?" I hissed.

"I'd ask the same to you, but it's pretty obvious that you were eavesdropping." he replies.

"Well, there's something different about them, and I want to know what it is!"

"There's something different about you, too," he points out annoyingly.

That takes me by surprise. "What do you mean?"

"I'm not entirely sure, but I know you're not a normal witch."

Then, Annabeth's voice says, "Nico, you're just paranoid because of being kidnapped by the giants." I can practically hear the eye roll.

"Okay, they are officially weird. Like, mental, weird." the blonde declares.

I snort. "Yeah, no shit." If he is in any way affected by my choice of words, he doesn't show it. I guess I shouldn't be cussing at the young age of eleven, but I do.

Blonde gives me a skeptical look. "I think we should be allies." he says. When I open my mouth to object, he quickly adds, "Not friends, but allies; so we can figure out their secrets."

I ponder that, but then smirk and hold out my head for a handshake. "Alright, works with me. Linh Lupin-Snape, by the way."

He shakes it. "Draco, Draco Malfoy." The way he slightly raises his nose up into the air shows me that he's proud of his pureblood heritage. I kind of want to tell him that I'm a Black, just to see his reaction, but being a Black is no laughing matter.

Especially being the daughter of Sirius Black.

When I return to the compartment (a.k.a. take a few steps back in), Annabeth frowns at me. "You didn't change." she states.

I roll my eyes. "Well, you'll definitely get into Ravenclaw for such a wonderful observation," I snark.

Annabeth rolls her eyes. I can tell she's just waiting for me to leave again. I kind of hope I won't have to talk to her too much, but I doubt I'll get lucky like that.

"I left my robes in my trunk," I inform them. I quickly grab them and open the compartment door to change for real. "See? I'm going."

But before I'm out of earshot, I hear Annabeth say, "Nico, I think I agree with you for once."

"Firs' years! Firs' years over here! Alright there, Harry?"

I follow the tall man's gaze to a skinny boy with messy black hair, bright green eyes, and round glasses. At least I'm not the only scrawny one, I think to myself, because it's true; I'm as skinny as a stick. Just like Harry.

"C'mon, follow me—any more firs' years?" the man asks. "Mind yer step now! Firs' years follow me!"

Everyone slips down a stone path, but no one speaks. Although, I think I hear a boy sniff once or twice.

"Yeh'll get yer firs' sight o' Hogwarts in a sec," the man, whose name was Hagrid, as I remember, calls over his shoulder. Not for me, I think. See, on those months which I spent time with Sev, most of the time, it was during the school year, so I had to spend some time here. Not that I'm complaining; Hogwarts is wonderful.

"jus' round this bend here."

I smile as my fellow first year chorus, "Ooooooh!"

But then the path opens to the black lake. "No more'n four to a boat!" Hagrid calls, pointing to a fleet of boats.

I get into a boat with Draco, Thalia, and a boy who introduces himself as "Blaise Zabini". But Nico has no where to go.

"Um." Nico clears his throat. "Where do I go?"

"Oh." Hagrid looks around, then points at us. "There."

I smirk at Nico, knowing fully well that he hates me, but Draco says, "Oh, great, we get the Corpse."

I spin around, hissing like a cat. "Don't call him "Corpse"." me and Thalia hiss at the same time. I smile slightly at her.

Draco raises an eyebrow. "Alright,"

Nico joins us, and he and Thalia launch into a conversation.

"She defended you," Thalia says. "Linh's not that bad."

"Just antisocial," Nico grumbles.

"And who does that remind me of?" Thalia asks.

Nico grumbles something incoherent.

"Yes, most definitely not a certain Nico di Angelo."

"Listen to those freaks," Draco whispers to me. "Speaking in another language."

My eyes grow wide. "You can't understand them?"

Minnie came in, took us away from Hagrid, judged us all, and is now calling our names so we can be sorted, blah, blah, blah.

"Abbott, Hannah!" Minnie called. She became a Hufflepuff. Cheers came from the table on the right ; the Hufflepuff table.

"Bones, Susan!"was a Hufflepuff as well, but "Boot, Terry!" became a Ravenclaw.

But Millicent Bulstrode becomes a Slytherin, and just by looking at her, I can tell she doesn't have a single brain cell in her muscled body. And I know I will be a Slytherin; sure, I have that reckless Gryffindor bravery, but I'm much more cunning and ambitious. And people often say my Gryffindor mother had a twinkle in her eyes, while people say I have a sadistic glint. So, yes, I think I'm a Slytherin.

I zone out for a little bit, but then a bushy haired girl named Hermione Granger gets sorted as a Gryffindor.

I zone out again.

When I refocus, I realize I'm the last person left. While Minnie pauses before reading my name, I look around to see who went where.

Slytherin: Draco, Blaise, di Angelo, and the Grace girl.

Ravenclaw: Chase, Ramírez-Arellano

Hufflepuff: the Grace boy, McLean, Zhang, and Levesque

Gryffindor: Jackson, Valdez, the twins' younger brother Ron, and...

Oh, no.

Harry Potter.

Please review! I put each demigod in whatever house I personally think suits them, but what do you think?
