Part 2: The Interview With The Rainbooms

Microchips Expedition Log Part 2:

April 19, 2019

Since the last event took place in March with the whole yacht breaking down in the middle of nowhere, then coming across an uninhabited island that had a portal to this other world.

I figured now would be a good time to ask around other people's thoughts on the matter. Of course, as expected, most shrugged it off as nothing unusual. How are people so used to this already? It was only when that Sunset Shimmer came along that these events started happening all around us, and people don't question these things?! Luckily, one of us does. I will come up with explanations for these events!

Sunset Shimmer

Q: So, Sunset Shimmer, how have you been?
S: Uhh, what exactly am I doing here?!
Q: I'll ask the questions! Now, since the recent events that took place in March, with the ship crashing down, wouldn't say happened over magic?
S: Magic? No. It was some sort of engine failure, right?
Q: Where were you, at the time it crashed?
S: I was looking out for my friends!
Q: Alright. So an interesting thing with magic?
S: What is this about?
Q: This magic you possess, where does it come from?
S: How should I know?
Q: How was it brought to our world?
S: I don't know. Are we done here?
Q: Why is it that only you and your group of individuals happen to possess such power?
S: Why would I answer that?
Q: Because this power has caused panic! And if it falls into the wrong hands it will become too dangerous to keep around any longer, do you not agree?
S: Listen, when there's trouble, we will handle it, it is our job!
Q: Without proper knowledge of this power, and some restrictions then it shouldn't be here, correct?!
S: I'm out of here!
Q: These things have only started since your arrival at this school. You have everyone fooled saying that you can control it, but I'm no fool. It wasn't that long ago when you nearly crashed this school down.
S: Things are different now. I've done nothing but protect and correct what happens here! Regardless of magic! I'm leaving.

I admit, not my best choice of words for interrogation. But, on with the next.

Twilight Sparkle

Q: How are you, Twilight Sparkle?
T: I'm alright. What's this about?
Q: I'm going to be asking questions regarding the use and abuse of magic.
T: Abuse?
Q: So, do you agree that magic in this world has gotten out of hand?
T: Well... yeah... I suppose.
Q: Do you think it should be regulated?
T: I think it could help, but it's not our fault if it gets into the wrong hands...
Q: I agree. Completely. Which is why we should all get to the bottom of this to prevent anymore casualties, agree?
T: ...
Q: Listen, I'm not saying we totally eliminate it. I think we should all be involved and make proper
use of magic. Imagine if it could benefit the many than a select few? If it's too dangerous and it becomes loose in the streets, then we may have to stop it.
T: ...
Q: I remember you once were curious of such power before, right?
T: But... But...
Q: But, it was Sunset Shimmer, who helped in making it possible for you to possess?
T: Sort of...
Q: Is there anything you think she could be hiding involving such power?
T: ... No... I trust her! She wouldn't hide anything from us!
Q: But, she is not from here, is she? She may have friends, and even others she knows about this power. Don't you think it's not okay to just keep it away, if she could be the one to bring magic to our world?
T: ... No. I don't believe that!
Q: Do you know, at least, where it derives from?
T: I can't say... it's not for me to say. (She left the conversation.)

Rainbow Dash

Q: Hey Rainbow Dash.
R: What's up?
Q: Look, I will be honest. I just want to know your take on this whole mystical event that took place this year.
R: Oh, you mean magic like on the cruise ship? Or Camp Everfree?
Q: Yes.
R: Oh, well... it's not bad. Take care of most of it, if I do say so myself!
Q: Do you think this magic is becoming more and more dangerous?
R: Dangerous? Ha. Danger is my middle name!
Q: Right. Look, what I'm trying to say here, is that magic is becoming almost too dangerous on us normies? Wouldn't you agree?
R: Maybe, but I got my crew to take down the danger!
Q: Okay. Do you believe there is sort of a large gap between the majority and the minority?
R: I think I'm in the wrong place to talk about diversity.
Q: What I mean is, possessors of power, like magical power.
R: Oh, well, most people who use it, tend to abuse the power for themselves.
Q: I agree. Do you think we should do something about it?
R: Like?
Q: Restrict use, or at least, find where it derives from to prevent abuse of magic to the majority population?
R: What? I don't think that's possible!
Q: What do you mean?
R: Well, we all have use for magic. In fact, if something were to happen, then we'll stop it from getting out of hand.
Q: Do you think you have full control of it?
R: Yes.
Q: Do you think it's fair, for only the selected few to have such power?
R: What's this about?
Q: I'm saying this power, having control of it, do you think people won't be envious of it? You already have the school wrapped around your finger, what will happen if they want to be like you?
R: What's wrong with a little publicity?
Q: That's what I'm saying. Publicity can go crazy. It's already known that you use it for your games, using it for your band, while the rest of us are having to coware in your shadows!
R: You're crazy. Nobody says that! They all like us for who we are!
Q: How can you be sure? There could already be jealousy in people. It's not fair if you can just have all you want without others having the chance to succeed as well? It's not fair! It's idolatry!
R: Look, unless people come up to me and say it to my face that it will become a problem! Then I won't use it!
Q: Why not prove it? Prove that you can make music without using powers or use it for your games!
R: You know what?! I will, and when I do, I will still be number one without it! (She left).

I'm taking a break... I'm becoming too aggressive with this... I may have to continue this another day...

I've returned with more common questions to hopefully make some progress.

Rarity

Q: Afternoon Rarity.
R: Quite so, what am I doing here?
Q: Relax. Just some questions revolving around concerns.
R: What kind of concerns?
Q: Just sit tight, and I will ask the questions.
R: Okay?
Q: I noticed some supernatural occurrences revolving magical powers. Any thoughts as to why?
R: Well, I suppose... well... what do you mean?
Q: Strange activity surrounding not only this school, but normal people who happen to possess magical abilities.
R: Oh... they do seem to be happening more often recently.
Q: I agree. Do you know why this is the case?
R: Well, not really, but if anything about this is concerning safety. We always respect and consider
everyone's safety as our first priority!
Q: Right, well. Do you think it is always under control?
R: Not all the time. Sometimes it's almost too much for comfort.
Q: See. This is what I mean. Do you think this power is available or coming from somewhere you could think of?
R: No, besides music being a huge influence.
Q: Music?
R: Yeah, music plays sometimes amplify our magical abilities. But, not too cause trouble, mind you, but just out of sheer joy and fun.
Q: Interesting. So, music can influence power?
R: Well, yes don't you remember the battle of the bands that one year?
Q: Not too much, other than the champions of that was your band.
R: Oh, of course!
Q: Were we under a spell of some kind?
R: Yes. They used it to make everyone aggressive and wanting to win.
Q: Huh...
R: Are there more questions? It's getting cold in here.
Q: Rarity, I want to be as honest as I can with this power over the population.
R: What?
Q: What I want to understand is how can we prevent any magical use in our world, or how can we possibly regulate and use this power for... an available resource?
R: Are you saying everyone should use it? It's much too dangerous, and I have no idea where it all comes from, or how it started.
Q: Do you use magic for daily use? Such as ideas for your fashionable wardrobe? Or to connect with people in music? Or popularity?
R: Well?! I never...
Q: Is it true?
R: Sometimes!
Q: So, why is it only available to you, and not others, doesn't it seem... unfair?
R: Unless people stop using it for bad deeds, I think we all are capable of dealing with it.
Q: Using it for everyday use, is no different than what you all seem to be doing? Why only for yourselves?
R: Look! As long as you are able to sleep at night! I don't care what you think of it! (She exits the room).

They've grown too attached to magic, as it seems. Music, and magic? Is there a connection? Perhaps amplifying a certain frequency can induce magical capabilities. However, based on my own observations, it seems to only happen with the Rainbooms and not the others... hmmm... next on the list...

Applejack

Q: Afternoon Applejack.
A: Howdy!
Q: Applejack, you're a person who is more on the nose than the others, do you agree?
A: Sure? What do ya mean?
Q: Well, I have questions concerning magical powers surrounding this school and the city, and I would like to know your input of the matter.
A: Oh, well... it can get too much sometimes, frankly, ah would more or less do what ah can to help stop any bad things happenin'. Is that a good enough answer?
Q: Oh don't worry. It's not about right or wrong, just the facts about magic becoming... dangerous to us normal people, you know?
A: Ah understand, especially since our last trip, too close for comfort!
Q: I agree. And I highly appreciate your sacrifices for our safety.
A: No problem at all! It's what ah do!
Q: On the subject of safety, do you think this type of power, can be available, or somehow regulated?
A: Am not sure about that. But, that is a good question.
Q: Exactly. I was just wondering, if there's any useful information at all, of how magic is used and somehow appears to people?
A: Well, it was just out of the blue before, but music seems to be one. As far as how people can get it? Am not sure...
Q: I see. Applejack, do you think with music, is only amplified with pop and happy music?
A: Well, ah haven't tried any other, but if it's out of purity and with happiness, then it becomes something helpful.
Q: Helpful?
A: In case there is some bad magic user on the loose. Then we can use the power for good!
Q: Well, do you think power can be distributed to others?
A: Am sure it can!
Q: Do you think... should it?
A: It's not for me to say, most people who do, tend to use it wrongfully.
Q: Yeah? What about you? Do you use it for everyday use?
A: Ah don't like too in all honesty, but at times... it is needed.
Q: How so?
A: Well, like ah said, for bad guys who use it wrongfully.
Q: If people were to be shown and been taught to use this power, do you think it's possible for everyone to use it?
A: Ah don't see why not? But, it's honestly not my call.
Q: Do you know... who?
A: Well, Sunset Shimmer seems to be the one...
Q: I knew it.
A: What's that?
Q: Sunset Shimmer has denied any information about it.
A: Well, if that's the case then, I guess we should just trust her...
Q: Do you know something...? This whole magical spree was since Sunset came to our school?
A: Ah know, but she's changed. She only uses magic to help others.
Q: But, what if she's hiding something?
A: Listen, ah don't know much... but... she's my friend... ah don't think she would do something like this. Okay?
Q: I understand. You may leave.
A: Alrighty. But, look, ah understand it's not always safe with this type of stuff. But, it's in good hands... trust me.

Well, I, at least, have one person used to the idea. One last person to interview next. Tomorrow...

Q: Afternoon Fluttershy.
F: Oh, afternoon.
Q: I don't want to keep you here for too long, but I just have some questions concerning magic and use of magic.
F: Really? Why so?
Q: I think for all of us, it is important to understand and control this power. I think it concerns us all, do you think?
F: I suppose...
Q: So, Fluttershy. Do you think things have gotten out of hand with magic?
F: Yeah, it's been a real pain.
Q: See. I agree. I don't think it's bad for all of us to be kept in the dark about it. Right?
F: I suppose.
Q: So, do you know anything as to why? Or how magic is becoming frequent and much more dangerous.
F: I don't.
Q: Do you think your friends are hiding anything about it?
F: No, not that I know of...
Q: Okay.
F: Umm, how long is this going to take? I'm kind of not comfortable.
Q: It's okay. Like I said, just a few questions. I want to get to more in depth with magical occurrences, such as regulating magic and to help prevent more bad things from happening!
F: You do?
Q: Yes. I want to help in any way I can! I also want magic to be a useful resource for everyone! Don't you agree?
F: I would believe that... but most people with it, tend to be bad people...
Q: I understand. But, that's why I want to help. Magic can be useful! For everyone. If we knew more, then people won't be so scared or to use it for bad things! Yeah?
F: I think that would be possible. But, as of now, I don't know who has the power to control that though...
Q: Does Sunset Shimmer know?
F: I think... not sure...
Q: Does she... hide things from you? Or any of your friends?
F: No... look, I'm sorry, but I'm not feeling comfortable with this conversation.
Q: Okay. Just one more question.
F: Fine...
Q: Do you use magic for everyday use?
F: At times...
Q: Why?
F: One question...
Q: I just don't think it's fair that only you and your friends can have magic and the rest of us. Sit on the sidelines like we're lesser people!
F: I understand. But, I wasn't asked to hold such power. It was given to me, to protect everyone, to help others, and every living creature. Not for my own gain!
Q: Okay.
F: See you. (She left the room).

Well, it was not bad. I understand if it was not exactly helpful and I was being too pushy. But, I just want to be something more. Anyways. End of this log.
