A/N: I'm planning something big and do you think the OC is a great add...
Anyway hope you just enjoy this chapter, I'm just doing this for fun and I love Rivetra. Now this will take a different approach and plots, maybe alot of plot twists too...
Previously On A New Era:
Kenny left Levi with an old friend, after settling in he explored the town, woods and his new home.
He joined in a fight with the eyebrows-boy, Erwin and Levi was a little confused with that encounter. If that didn't confused him, what about the time he picked up a drawing that fell from the girl's sketch pad.
Levi also learned something new, he's glas that his new guardian isn't dying but he was shock that she was pregnant and his mind almost combust when he learned that his mentor was the father.
Anyway, he decided to blow off some steam in the woods when he saw there were footprints. He decided to follow it and was shock to see two people he knew discussing something with another kid.
Levi was curious and was about to take a closer look when the other kid's nose twitched and said, "We got company."
He cursed under his breath as he sink himself more in the shadows. He watched as the other kids become alert at the blond boy's announcement. Although, he was impressed by that weird boy's sense of smell—anyway he had to focus.
"Who are you, come out now!" Levi heard eyebrows shouted and besides him that shitty glasses throwed in some threats too. He just ignored them as he ignited a plan to escape or fight them head on.
Wait...why did he need to fight them if there's no reason. However, he must have been distracted when he suddenly heard one of them shouted, "Hey, over there!"
Shit! he groaned, irritated because this was not how he planned his day.Stupid kids, he thought—even he was the same age as them—glaring at them before jumping off the branch and to another, escaping from them.
Maybe cleaning the house is the best way to blow off some steam and a good cup of tea. he sighed, liking that idea, forgetting the trouble earlier.

"Levi, you didn't have to. I can just go to the market by myself." said Ms. Alyssa, smiling at him and Levi shook his head. He knew pregnant women shouldn't stress themselves and besides he has nothing better to do; also, he likes her company.
Both made their way too the busy stalls and again he was tempted to steal but stopped himself, knowing Ms. Alyssa wouldn't approve of it. He looked around; then, caught a flash of ginger in the buzzling street. He wiped his eyes, making sure he didn't imagine that and he was ecstatic that he didn't.
He was about to take a step when he was suddenly pulled away, he watched helplessly as the girl grew further away. He groaned, growing irritated by this invisible force. Levi looked at Ms. Alyssa who was dragging him to a cloth store and he dreaded on what came next.
"You, really need a new set of clothes." his guardian says and Levi sighed defeated at this. Although, he was maybe a little excited about this since his old clothes got a little tighter. He drew a breath as he tried different set of clothes.
Both of them were walking back home, they chatted about some random stuff as their topic drifted off to baby names. "Levi, if it were a boy or girl, what would you name them?" she asked him and Levi thought for a second.
He was about to answer her question when he collided with someone. He heard a yelp and a thud. Levi looked down; about to apologize when the person quickly ran away. He look at the retreating back of said person before looking at Ms. Alyssa as confusion clouded his mind.
She just shrugged and laugh it off. They were now near their home and he realized that he didn't give his answer yet. He stared at his guardian and then at her stomach. "If it was a boy, I would either name him Lucian or Lonan and if it's a girl, I would name her Asta."
She looked at him shocked before smiling gently at him. "That's wonderful names, Levi." she said, placing a hand on her stomach. "And I'm sure they will love it."
Both entered the house, enjoying the sweet silent. Levi looked at her, realizing there are thing he doesn't know yet but just waiting to be learned. He imagined her, carrying a bundle of joy in her arms and that image made him smile because she deserves to be happy.
The situation was deja vu to Levi, here he was having tea with the old hag again and he's waiting for her to say something fucking absurd. He got on his guard as the old hag opened her mouth and he didn't expect the words that came out from her mouth.
"Can't we just enjoy this cup of tea and not you staring at me like that." she spoke, raising a eyebrow at him, clearly annoyed by him and all he could do was glare at her. She glared back; resumed drinking her tea. "Hope those little fillies aren't like your attitude." the old hag sighs, closing her eyes.
And that statement made Levi wonder what she meant by that—he just shrugged, deciding that it was his mentor's fault and the old hag think that he gained some traits from him (they aren't even fucking related). He resumed drinking his tea; then, realized he really liked the calm silent between them.
He mentally smacked himself, telling himself that he didn't fucking like that old hag, not even one bit.
Levi smirks, bringing the cup to his mouth. He decided maybe that the old hag wasn't that bad but he still hates her and her small habits like:
1) She doesn't cover her mouth or nose when coughing or sneezing.
2) Little bit of crumbs always fell to the floor when she eats.
3) Even though his room is upstairs, he could still hear her snores.
4) She always leave the teacups on the sink and clean it five hours later.
5) He should stop now because the list goes on.
Although, she can make good tea and he's trilled whenever she gave him some. But that doesn't count—
Wait...why did he hate her again, he doesn't have any reasons and she's nice like Ms. Alyssa. Aside from the tea, she gives him private lesson—her stating that he didn't have much prior knowledge.
She teached him a brief history about their home, literature, math and maybe a little bit about etiquette. Maybe the reason he didn't like her because she was strict when it came to this. That's maybe it.
He just shrugged, tired about all the questions in his mind and why was he asking this. He finally end the loop when he decided that he liked her and hate her at the same time. Maybe brooding about everything is really bad for his health.
He growled, hating the fuck that the other two people who he thought was family is doing this. "Stop sounding like a dog brat! Were just shoping for baby equipments." he heard the old hag says, who was dragging him by the collar of his shirt. He clicked his tongue at her— yes, he was fine shopping for cleaning equipment only and the fact his hands couldn't stop grabbing things from every stalls.
Levi clenches his fist tight, putting them in his pocket, trying to control himself and his kinda proud that he hadn't grab a single object from the shops. He was thinking of a escape plan when he heard someone yell, "Fancy seeing you around here, Levi!"
Both him and his company, looked to the left to see Eyebrows (Erwin), smirking at him and Levi felt that there are two reasons, he called for him:
The first one was that he was planning something and the other reason was... that he had been found out that it was him, who was spying on them the other day. Although, whatever the reason, he really need to escape this fucking torture.
"Oh is that your friend, Levi?" Ms. Alyssa asked him which he nodded. He watched her smile and said that he could tag along with him but be back at sun down. The old hag let go him and left him with the blonde boy. But before he could say anything, Eyebrows dragged him by the arm and he just went along with him. Besides his getting tired from being fucking dragged all the time.
They took a left turned, entering an alleyway where his buddies was waiting for him. He saw the Shitty Glasses and the Sniffer, looking at him, judging him—anyway, he doesn't care.
Suddenly the shitty glasses stood up, "Hey it's you! The shorty I bumped into."
His eyebrows twitched at that comment. "I'm not that short." he glared at her, who just straight up ignored him. His fucking really getting tired of this shit, being dragged up in this tiresome situations. He was about to opened his mouth when the other blonde boy begun sniffing him and he stood there frozen.
"You're the one that I smelled on the woods." he exclaimed and a smirk makes its way to Eyebrows lips. Levi groaned that his second intuition was right. He doesn't have any intention to spy at them, he just got curious and maybe curiosity really got the cat killed.
He rolled his eyes at them, "Yeah, what is it to you that I fucking stumbled upon you three."
Eyebrow's smirked widened and he knew he wouldn't like what's coming. "You're one strong kid, the fight and the way you moved in the woods, says it." he exclaimed and Levi's eyes widened when he brought up the gear, he saw on that day. "How about let's strike a deal."
Levi's eyes observed the gear and him, he was getting interested by his offer; also, wary at him. "We would like you test it out and Hanji here—" he pointed to Shitty Glasses, "will gather data at your progress." his words were tempting and he felt manipulated by him. "The reason were doing this is: one, we don't know how to use this and if we tried; our body wouldn't take it and two, I will tell those kind ladies that you have been stealing from the stalls."
He was blackmailing him and Levi hated it. That fucking Eyebrows must have been watching him ever since they met. He growled and nodded, knowing he was backed by him at a corner with nowhere else to go. He watched as Eyebrows smiles as he discusses his plan. He also introduced his lackies—he already knew Shitty Glasses and Sniffer's name is Mike.
Finished with that sudden meeting, he hurried home, remembering what time and place they were gonna meet. He was surprised at himself for taking it all easy but he felt himself getting wrinkles just being with them. He's not a people person and he's a little bit scared as those kids, pushed his boundaries—good thing, he didn't snapped at them.
Kids here are different from the undergound because in there, they always had to fight and it's like the fucking food chain. The strong ones are the predator while the weak ones are the pray. Children (even adults) steal from each other, some even killed to take what they want.
Levi was the predator there and he always had his hands stained red there. His mind went back on what Erwin said, about him stealing. He can never escaped that because once a thug, always a thug. He never identified himself as a thug, he stole, fight and got his hands dirty...he doesn't know how to defy that.
He proceed walking home, busy with his thoughts. He slid his hands in his pocket a little deeper than before and his hand caught something. He pulled it up, revealing the girl's drawing and he just glance at it; his mind drips to her.
His brain questioned the times, he always tried to chase her when he always so her hair in the crowd. He doesn't know why? Was it because, he wants to return her drawing or...
He ruffled his hair frustrated at everything, he was getting soft,—it was to much—he let people in so easily and that pisses him. He was never like that, he's changing and he hates it. He glared at the paper and was about to trow it when he stop—he couldn't do it.
He folded the paper neatly and put it back in his pocket. He sighed, his body getting tired at all the fast changes. Was change good or bad, was trusting people right or wrong.
He was just confused, everything doesn't make sense. Maybe, he was scared that people who tends to get closer to him, will soon leave him. His mother, the friends he made in that rotten place and he's afraid that Kenny or his new guardians will do that to.
Leaving him alone...
His mind went back to those three, he was afraid that if they got closer (he doesn't hope so), they might learn all of him and leave him rotting like trash. Good thing, they were just using him because he doesn't need someone right now. His fine being with Kenny, Ms. Alyssa and the old hag for now—the thing he isn't fine with is being attached to, that will let him regret everything.
He exhales everything, may be his stress, pain or anything. Things really are changing, might well accept it and it bothers him, why he realized this now. The answer was, he was busy in his new life, not even noticing the edges on it.
He looked up at the yellow moon as it shines down its light. Maybe the moon was a better company for him. He smiled at that thought as he went on his way.
"Angle yourself, shorty." he heard Shitty Glasses commented as he balanced himself. He was atleast 2 feet of the ground and he aimed the grappling hooks at the trees on his both side. They told him to master balancing himself first at the gear and he had got a hang on it at his second try. He witdraw the wires, finished by the first task.
The sooner he got in the meeting place, the quickly for it to be over. Because the gear was heavy and suited for adults but his not human strength managed it. Levi listened to Shitty Glasses lecture about the gear.
She said that the system is control via a pair of hand held controllers which also serve as hilts for the wearer's swords. The inner workings of the controllers are a closely guarded secret. The technical department manages and improves this system under strict security. The top triggerfires the anchor with the bottom trigger firing compressed gas. Pulling the lever reels the wire back in, letting go makes it stop. The hammer switch located at the back allows the angle of fire for both anchor mechanisms to be adjusted while the auxiliary switchs release and lock the blades in place. The control grip is approximately 18cm in height.
He raised a brow at the last part and looked at his hands. He sighed relieve that his hands are big even for a short kid like him. He just nodded at her every instruction and let himself comfortable at the harness. He sighed as he climbed up at a high branch while below him, the others watches him with excitement.
He calmed himself first before letting himself fall. He angled himself and launched the hook to a nearby tree and using his momentum (like the way, he swings himself tree to tree), he swing himself to a near one. He fired the other wire to a near branch as the other wire reeled in. And like that he went repeating the same movement.
He finds himself enjoying it, he was about to let a laugh when he didn't see the incoming tree. He fired to a branch at his farther side, he reeled himself to it and he didn't get lucky. His arm got hit by the tree's side and it hurts like hell. He got closer to the branch that his wires were attached, and swinged himself up to land on top of it.
He clutched his throbbing arm and he sighed that he had to get down. Ignoring the pain, he climbed back down the tree to the others and he was surprised to find them having a concerned look on their face.
"Thanks, Levi, I got the data needed." said Shitty Glasses, fixing her glasses then stared at his arm. "Sorry about that and since you helped us up, how about we treat you some snacks at the nearby bakery."
Before he could protest, he suddenly got lifted of from the ground and was placed on Sniffer's shoulder. They all started to walk while Levi was cursing at them to put him down.

Now that his arm was treated, they finally bought him a snack and hang out at the stream. Levi didn't know what just happened because he felt that he was forced by their friendship group. He watched the other two kids played in the stream, he just watched their genuine faces; not knowing what to make of it.
"They think of you as a friend already." said Eyebrows besides him and he clicked his tongue at that because he didn't know what to say. He munched on a loaf of bread that they bought for him as he looked at the plain distance.
He heard the thirteen years old, settle down besides him. He didn't dare look at him but listened to what he say. "You're wondering the reason why I'm doing this." stated Eyebrows which he sighs. "Well I want to gather intel first before entering the military." when he said that, Levi looked at him shocked. Does this bastard want to be looked down and die.
He heard all about the military from the old hag and some info aren't really kind...
"You're wondering, why I'm entering." he continued as his eyes closed. "I had plans, big plans that might change us so we can't live in isolation, stop ourselves for discovering the world and having human rights." he sighed, opening his eyes. "Even if I have to be selfish, I won't stop to achieve that dream."
He then looked at the other two kids, "I didn't want them to follow me on this path for selfish reasons but they decided to tag along with me."
Levi looked at him for a moment before at the other two as silent dawned on them.
He was lying on his bed, thinking about all what Eyebrows said. He turned to the paper near his desk, where it was folded neatly. His mind went to the girl's sketch and him wondering if that's what the outside world looks like.
A soldier, he thought as his mind drifted to Eyebrows' explanation on their three branches and what are they all about. The three of them wanted to be scouts—the one who always risked their life and a sore eye in the public—just to see the outside.
He straight right up at the ceiling, his mind wandering what to do. It's logical that Eyebrows will enter the military this year because he's at the right age to begin training. While he on the other hand has years to think on what he wants to become. Maybe he can be a assassin that's always hired by the fucking nobles because of his skills and his history.
He yawned, realizing he really needs to sleep. He closed his eyes and finally sleep.
Today he was at the town clinic with Ms. Alyssa for her daily check-up. He watched as the doctors examined her, noting everything on how she felt and other things. He was also here for a check up and the result for him was...
He's healthy like a horse, it's what the doctor said to him. He also gave him some shots which he didn't cry on like other kids. When they were done and was finally back home, he quickly went to the woods to strech his limbs.
His arm felt better after a week and he always find himself hanging out with those three, which is odd for him. He just shrugged; although, his a little bit angry since he got attached to them a little bit.
Hi sighed thinking if they were friends or foe...
A/N: And that's done! Thankyou for the struggle of reading this, hope to see you again and also I might get a bit busy since my cousins and I are building a tree house to relax in.Anyway, bye for now!
