Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY, Zelda, Kid Icarus, Pokemon, or any other franchise alluded to or included in this work (I don't own the background music either). All I own is this work and my OCs (these include Aris, Oleana, Nash, and any Grimm ideas I come up with).
Later that night, Ruby had gone to bed, and Yang had taken her place as night lookout. Ruby slept soundly by her boyfriend's side, with Pikachu curled up at her feet.
Pikachu, however, was roused from her slumber and got to her feet. She nudged Ruby's face, waking her up, too.
Ruby groaned. "Pikachu, it's late. Go back to bed."
The Pokemon had other ideas, bounding off out of the building. Ruby had no choice but to follow, making sure not to wake anyone up. She quietly grabbed Crescent Rose and hurried outside.

She searched the ruins of Mountain Glenn, calling out for Aris's Pokemon. "Pikachu! Where are you?"
Ruby found the Electric type, urinating by a pole. "Pikachu, this is a wasteland," Ruby deadpanned. "You could've done that anywhere."
Ruby reached down and scooped up Pikachu in her arms, setting the Pokemon on her shoulder.
In the distance, a voice. "What was that?"
Ruby quickly took cover behind some rubble, Pikachu in tow.
"What was what?" said another voice.
Ruby found the source: a pair of White Fang grunts. The first one spoke. "I thought I heard a Beowolf or something."
The second grunt sighed. "Let's just finish our patrol and get back to base."
"This place gives me the creeps," said the first grunt as he and his partner began continuing their patrol route.
Ruby and Pikachu emerged from their hiding place. Ruby tiptoed quietly so as to not be noticed as she sneaked behind the two White Fang grunts. The hooded Huntress and the Electric type Pokemon began stealthily following after the White Fang soldiers, being careful not to be seen or heard.
Once the grunts were out of sight, Ruby took out her Scroll and went to contact her teammates. "This is it!" she whispered.
Maybe it wasn't. There wasn't any signal, so Ruby couldn't notify the group. "Come on," she whispered to Pikachu. "We gotta get the others."
End BGM
After only a few steps, Ruby found the ground under her feet crumbling. A sinkhole. Pikachu almost fell in, but Ruby grabbed the Pokemon just in time. She hurled Pikachu to safety, before attempting to pull herself out and retrieve Crescent Rose.
Unfortunately, that attempt failed. The piece of asphalt Ruby was hanging on to fell into the sinkhole.
Back at camp...
Yang returned to the sleeping area from her lookout position. "Hey, Aris," she yawned, "it's your turn for-"
Her eyes fell upon something. Ruby Rose was missing, as was Aris's Pikachu.
"Guys," she said in a normal tone, waking everyone. "Where'd Ruby go?"
Everyone rose to a seated position, yawning and groaning. Qrow entered the room. "What?"
On that note, Pikachu came rushing into the building, shaking her trainer awake.
Aris got to his feet. "Pikachu? What's up?"
Pikachu spoke. "Pika! Pika!"
"You want us to follow you?"
Pikachu nodded.
Oleana, Pit, and Nash got to their feet. "What's going on?" said Nash.
"People, grab your weapons," said Qrow. "Ruby could be in danger."
Aris was shook. He couldn't let any harm come to the woman he loved.
Pikachu led the party out into the streets of Mountain Glenn, where they eventually came upon a sinkhole. Something red was sitting at the edge.
"Ruby's scythe!" said Yang.
"She must've fallen in," Weiss said.
Qrow looked into the sinkhole. "Of course...when the Grimm overran this place, the people here had a last resort for survival. They took cover in caves beneath the city, using massive caves they'd cleared out for the subway train. They'd cut themselves off from the surface."
"An underground city?" said Oleana.
"Yeah." Qrow was starting to panic a little. "A...A safe haven. It worked, until an explosion opened another cavern, which was filled with underground Grimm. After that...the kingdom officially sealed off the tunnels, and that place became effectively the world's largest tomb."
Aris narrowed his eyes, putting a hand on the hilt of the Master Sword. "If Ruby's down there...we have to rescue her, at all costs."
Meanwhile, down in the caves...
Ruby was shoved to the ground by Roman Torchwick. The criminal laughed maniacally. "Y'know," he crooned, "you are so much more manageable without that plus-sized farming tool of yours.
Ruby got to her feet and pounced at Torchwick again, only to be knocked to the ground a second time.
"In all seriousness..." Torchwick knelt down in front of Ruby, "...how'd ya find this place, Red?" He shoved the barrel of his cane into her neck.
Ruby growled at him, then used her Semblance to quickly escape. Torchwick saw her sprinting away at breakneck speed.
He pointed the top of his cane at her, and the rounded part fired, serving as a grappling hook. Torchwick grabbed Ruby by her cape and pulled her back to him. "I see you've got some tricks up your sleeve, but let me make this clear. We're not done yet."
An explosion in the distance.
Torchwick turned to a White Fang grunt, who happened to be a Platypus Faunus. "Perry," he said, "if you and your boys wouldn't mind taking care of that? I'm kinda in the middle of something at the moment."
Perry nodded as another explosion rocked the subterranean base.
Torchwick was appalled. "What the hell is going on here?!"
A blast of fire from around a distant corner. A bunch of White Fang grunts ran away, screaming. Torchwick narrowed his eyes.
Ruby was hopeful. Could it be..?
Sure enough, there he was: Aris Atreides. The Hylian stood next to his Rapidash, a bow in his hand.
Ruby saw her opportunity and seized it. She jumped onto Torchwick's back, pulled his bowler hat over his eyes, and booked it.
Torchwick was enraged. "Somebody kill her!"
He and a group of grunts fired gunshots after their prisoner.
Meanwhile, Aris released another Pokemon-his Aegislash.
"Aegislash!" he called. "Use King's Shield to protect Ruby!"
The Aegislash summoned a translucent gray barrier, shielding Ruby from the hailstorm of bullets.
Unfortunately, Ruby was intercepted by a group of four White Fang grunts.
Fortunately, a voice yelled, "HEYAHHH!"
The grunts were defeated by a single, shining blade. The Master Sword.
There stood Aris Atreides. "Ruby!"
Ruby jumped into the arms of her lover, who twirled her in a circle and set her on her feet.
The rest of the party arrived on the scene. "You okay, kid?" asked a concerned Qrow.
"I'm fine, but listen." Ruby addressed the group. "Torchwick's got all sorts of weapons and robots down here."
Blake was readying her weapon. "What?"
"Androids, mechs," Ruby gestured to the train, "they're all loaded up onto those train cars."
"Impossible," said Qrow. "The tunnels are sealed. The tracks just lead to a dead end."
An intercom whined and a White Fang grunt spoke. "Get to your places, we're bailing outta here!"
The train hissed, and began trundling down the tracks.
"Sounds like they are going somewhere," Oleana deadpanned.
"We need backup," said Ruby. "I'll call Jaune."
Ruby dialed the leader of team JNPR, only for the signal to fail.
"I can't get through!" she said.
"What now?" asked Weiss.
Qrow sighed. "There's only one thing we can do here..."
Aris nodded. "Let's blow this choo-choo train off the rails."
