"Sir, DNAmy's creatures have failed."
"I expected they would. Did Demon turn up?"
"No, Sir." The shadow figure leaned back in his chair, watching multiple screens of the fight. "Angel, Devil and Shego were there."
"Yes, I can see." The woman didn't flinch as she watched the Lion-reptile try to bite Angel's wing and miss by centimetres, it spat out a few creamy feathers that burnt as they fell.
"All the creatures were captured?"
"Yes, Sir, by Global Justice."
"Meddling wench." He spat the words as he sat up straight and ground his teeth together. He paused as he watched Shego burn a silk rope that had been aimed at Devil.
"Vanessa. Get me all the information you can on Shego and Devil." He didn't take his eyes off the screen as the green skinned woman moved past the gold skinned woman.
"Yes, Sir." Vanessa turned and left the room, she let out a short breath of relief and moved on to get her job done.

"Oh, too slow Kimmie." Shego smirked as she stole the last chocolate chip cookie and Kim's eyes narrowed. Shego might have had half of the biscuit between her lips but that didn't mean there wasn't half a cookie hanging out of them.
She lunged forward, Shego's eyes widened in surprised as Kim stole half of her cookie. She blinked as she looked at the smug redhead.
She slowly ate what remained of her biscuit and very slowly rolled her shoulders. If it was a war Kim wanted, it would be a war she would get.
They were currently on neutral ground, or what could be considered neutral ground as they were at the Go-Belladonna mansion.
They currently had the place to themselves as Isobel was out and Demon and Devil were somewhere.
Shego got up and brought out a pack of red liquorice. Kim's brow rose in amusement. They were just watching movies together and relaxing after having fought each other on a mission.
"Red? Not black?" She asked and Shego looked at her slowly.
"Personally Kimmie, I like apple." Kim blinked at the salacious way Shego had spoken. She wasn't even sure why she was now blushing but she was.
"Oh… they make apple flavoured liquorice?" Shego was smirking big time as she slung her arm around Kim's shoulders.
"And grape, and strawberry, and mango and raspberry white chocolate bullets." Shego seemed to just be listing them off as she pulled her legs up and leaned into Kim's side.
Kim leaned back into her, accepting the affection, and a piece of liquorice. She chewed on it quietly while they watched Darkwing Duck.
They were instantly alerted when Demon and Devil got home as there was a yell from the front door.
"I AM THE TERROR THAT FLAPS IN THE NIGHT!" Another door became victim to Jasmine tearing through it and Kim started laughing, unable to stop as the scary, demonic woman landed in an armchair, tail wagging like a dumb puppy as she watched the cartoon. Shego was also laughing as she watched her. Devil sighed as she went to go take a shower and call Angel.
"Her favourite?" Kim whispered to Shego while giggling and Shego nodded amused.
"She has a special made mask and cape. One of mum's nickname for her is Darkwing."
"Oh? And what's your childhood nickname?"
"You already know it, Princess."
"Flutterfly." Kim smirked and Shego looked away from her.
"Don't let it be known, Cupcake. I have a reputation to uphold."
"Oh no." Kim's smirk turned wicked and Shego paused, an evil Kim was a very scary thought.
"Kimmie." She spoke warningly as she looked to the redhead and she looked back. Their moment was interrupted by a groan, thump and woosh. Demon, completely invested in the cartoon, missed Angel's exhausted arrival. Angel took advantage of that and fell on top of her, winding her.
Demon groaned this time as she shifted to lay with Angel and cuddle up while they both relaxed from their own missions.
Ivy came downstairs nearly thirty minutes later and settled into a too big chair, happily being devoured by it.
Shego smiled at her sisters, she might never have shown it while she was on Team Go but she had missed them quite a lot when they'd been gone. She'd understood why they'd left and while Jasmine had offered to take her with her, she'd declined.
The few sneaky visits she'd gotten from Jasmine had been both thrilling and terrifying. The first time she had awakened in the dead of night, seen a darker than dark shadow and instantly lit up. She'd burnt Jasmine pretty badly that night. Acting before she could think through the haze of sleep.
When she'd looked into the black and violet eyes instead of the soft, dark brown of her eldest sister she'd nearly freaked out again. The fact they'd been looking out of a half burned face had also been highly disturbing. Watching it heal had been just as disturbing, but the absolutely most disturbing thing was how silent she'd been when burned. When the only sound had been the hiss and sizzle of her flesh bubbling and burning.
Shego had scrubbed her room multiple times to try to get rid of the smell and thinking back nearly always made her gag. She never wanted to see anything like it again. It was why most of her plasma was low intensity. She only heated it to protect her hand from damage or to help break into a place. She would never make hot plasma when facing a person.
Shego looked at Kim and began stroking her hair gently. She had spent a lot of time wondering how she did it, but then again, Kim didn't have powers, she hadn't been scared of herself, of losing control like they had. Hego didn't have to be scared of himself, what damage could he do with super strength? He would never lose control of his powers, same with Mego and even if Wego lost control there wasn't much they could do except what they came up with. It wasn't like they could burn the world down, destroy someone's mind or become a literal monster.
She let out a soft breath, there was a coolness in her mind that she recognised as Ivy's soft influence. She didn't fight it and let it wash over her, soothing her troubled thoughts.
She leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of Kim's head, a small smile on her lips as between them she relaxed.
"What are we watching?" Angel spoke tiredly, voice muffled against Jasmine's collar.
"Darkwing Duck." Jasmine was stroking her head and Angel began laughing.
"The one whose theme song you'll sing anywhere and everywhere?"
"I feel like there's a story to that." Kim spoke casually which made Angel laugh more.
"There is. It's recorded." She was still smiling but Jasmine was nearly bright red.
"Right, anyway, Negaduck rules but I wish he was as pink and purple as Darkwing."
"Only you would say that." Angel poked her forehead gently and Jasmine pouted at her.
"They were my favourite colours growing up, and Darkwing would be mysterious if he wasn't the comedic relief. I wonder why back then the main characters were comedic relief while the side female character and dog were the smart ones."
"Launchpad McQuack is also a bit incompetent." Angel pointed out and Jasmine hummed considering the point.
"Not to Darkwing's level."
"I have to ask, my love, but do you know Darkwing's civilian name?" Angel shifted to look at the woman beneath her.
"Mmm? Drake Mullard?"
Shego turned to blink at her then she looked to Ivy. "Is this how you change her obsession?"
"No, this one is completely her own." Ivy blinked slowly as she rubbed her sore eyes.
"Wow…" Jasmine was bright red and hid her face in Angel's chest. "Twenty six and obsessed with Darkwing Duck…"
"Shut up, I am not. I just memorised facts." Shego was still staring at her while Angel squirmed a bit at the feeling of Jasmine hiding between her breasts.
"People call that obsession. Okay. Who is Darkwing's voice actor?"
"You think I bothered watching the credits or care about him?"
"Yes." Jasmine looked up from Angel's chest with a frown.
"No. I thought you knew that my life revolves around my angel and the few shows or games I like."
"And murder."
"And murder." Jasmine agreed with Ivy. The gold woman rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, you read fanfiction of a show you haven't even watched entirely." Shego pointed out and Demon reddened again. Kim was trying not to laugh.
"At least what I read is about fictional characters. Have you two looked at any fanfiction about yourselves?" She shot back at them and Shego's face morphed to one of horror.
"Actually," Angel broke in before Shego could speak. "Have you seen any of the fanfiction between us? Apparently you're a massive masochist."
Kim tried not to laugh but the small laugh was carried passed her closed lips with a disbelieving breath, making her partially spit. She covered her mouth to try to hide it.
"Laugh it up, Red. You submit totally to Shego's every whim." Jasmine shot back.
"Should I be concerned you've read bondage smut of your sister?" Angel pushed herself to look down at the eldest.
"Be concerned there's smut of Kim and her brothers, or Kim and her mum, or Kim and her cousin."
"What!?" Kim jerked around, no longer laughing and bright red.
"Yeah, okay…" Angel shook her head. "Ivy, do me a favour and make us forget what we were talking about."
"If I have to remember this then you all can suffer as well."
"Harsh." Demon shook her head.
"Oh don't worry. There's crossovers about us and Shego. Some recognise us as siblings." Both Shego and Demon stared at Devil with looks of horror. "Before you ask, yes. Yes."
They shared a look and Demon reached up to run her hands through her hair. "Goddamn it people." She let out a long and heavy sigh.
Angel shifted on top of Demon as the forgotten TV filled the area with noise. "What's the worst fic you've read?"
"Oh gods." Demon groaned in physical pain. "Do you mean grammar wise, ship wise or…?"
"I'm scared how much you've read now. Forget I asked." Angel was giving Jasmine a scrutinizing look and the girl noticed.
"Don't give me that look. You knew what you were getting into when you started dating me."
"I knew you murdered people for a living and your head has been messed around with multiple times." Angel deadpanned her. "I didn't know your reading habits included incest."
"They don't! I was just curious why they thought we were sisters and why we'd all sleep together."
"And?"
Jasmine blinked at the question. "And?" She looked curious.
"And did you find out why?"
"Do you think I could stop screaming? I would get through one paragraph only to scream at the next sentence and bang my head against my headboard while trying to work up the ability to read past that line."
"Oh I remember that. I also remember you screaming profanity and asking yourself why you were reading it and why it had six chapters. How many did you read?"
"One and a half. It wasn't that it was badly written, it was just cringy, I think, I refuse to read anymore, ever."
"You didn't even reach the main sex scene." Ivy sounded mildly amused.
"Exactly! And I'm not going back to try to reach it."
"I feel like we should all try to find the worst fanfiction possible of ourselves." Angel sounded amused but Kim and Demon looked horrified.
"I'm safe then. Barely anyone knows I exist." Igo had the nerve to look smug.
"No." Demon shook her head. "No, I haven't even dared look at the reader inserts."
"Oh god above." Shego shook her head horrified. "Can we stop? Please?"
"Since when do you say please?" Kim asked, surprised.
"Apparently when she's begging for you to fuck her. Evil Kim is dabbled in but not really popular." Kim turned to Demon mortified.
"I… Oh… Oh." She turned to look at Shego and Shego looked back suspicious.
"Please don't confirm the theories." Demon groaned as she hit her head on the arm of the lounge.
"I think the funniest part of this conversation is that Vermillion knows all this." Isobel was standing in the doorway, a phone in her hand while Demon looked ready to die.
"Hey Mum. What's the phone for?" Ivy asked as she looked to her mother casually.
"I'm ordering take out. What do you girls want?"
"Pizza." Shego called.
"Pizza." Angel agreed
"Sushi would be cool." Devil sighed softly.
"Death please." Demon nearly mewled as she tried to get eaten by the couch.
"And you, Sweetheart?" Isobel ignored her oldest daughter and addressed Kim."
"I'm good for whatever is ordered." She responded, trying not to think about how much fanfiction there might be of her and Shego. "Who else am I shipped with?"
"You really want to know?" Demon looked at her, nearly defeated.
"Asides family?"
"Your sidekick, your friends, your school enemy."
"How does anyone even know all this?" She was horrified at the mere thought.
"You have stalkers."
"I do?" Her mouth fell open and Shego's brows furrowed.
"Yes, same as Angel. Well, she did." Angel's brows furrowed as she looked at Demon and she sat up to cross her arms across her chest disapprovingly. "No, I didn't kill them. I maimed them. It sent a message to the other wannabe stalkers."
"Hey, Darkwing." Shego's voice was low and Jasmine tilted her head to look at her.
"Mmm?"
"Do me a favour?"
"Of course." Shego didn't even have to say what she wanted Jasmine to do, she already knew.
They all settled back down while Isobel ordered pizza and sides. They switched from Darkwing Duck to a movie the majority agreed to. Demon might not have been paying attention to it but everyone else was happy to relax with a feel good movie.
Kim looked over during the movie as movement caught her eyes. Demon and Angel had shifted position so that Demon's head was in her lap and she was combing her hair through her fingers. It made her smile. Shego and Ivy noticed when Jasmine began purring and the sound had all of them smiling, either in amusement or just relaxing.
They all turned to the doorway when Isobel came back with the pizza and flicked on the overhead light.
"Thanks mum." Ivy got up to collect the pizzas, being the only one not trapped by another person.
"Yeah, thanks mum." Angel called casually as she leaned her head back to see her. Isobel smiled at them while Ivy returned with five boxes.
"Have fun girls."
"Thanks mum." Four out of five called and she waved them off, turning out the light so they were in darkness again.
Kim looked between them and raised her brow at Angel. Angel noticed and smiled at her. "When you've dated one person as long as we have, you'll call Isobel mum too."
"How long have you been dating?" Shego looked over to them while Jasmine was checking what they'd been given.
"Six years. Our anniversary is coming up."
Jasmine stiffened with a slice of pizza hanging before her mouth. "It is?" She asked, looking like a spooked animal.
"Mmm, the 15th of March." Jasmine breathed out a soft sigh as she had warning now and could plan something nice for her. Kim looked at Shego amused.
"What?" She sounded suspicious as she squinted at her. Kim just smiled sweetly as she went to take a slice of pizza.
"I would be suspicious, baby sis, those good girls are the ones that are actually evil." Jasmine mewled as Angel grabbed her cheeks and gave them a pull. She whined, trapped in the angel's lap.
"I believe it, Darkwing." Shego chuckled softly as she watched Jasmine be teased.
"Hey, what is that supposed to mean?" Kim shifted to look at Shego and Jasmine began to laugh. Angel looked at them and shook her head amused. She stopped pinching Jasmine's cheek and gently stroked them to sooth the red skin.
"Are you going home tonight, Kim?" Shego asked a while later, her voice was low and her arms rested around the redhead's waist. Kim stirred against her, having been dozing in the cozy atmosphere and enjoying Shego's higher than normal body temperature.
"I should." She yawned and stretched before nuzzling back up to her. "I should at least let mum know." She didn't look like she was about to get off Shego to go do it.
Shego didn't mind at all as she hadn't moved her arms to let Kim up. Ivy looked at them and with her powers, pulled out Kim's communicator. She got a mumbled thanks from the sleepy woman.
Kim dialed home and got one of the tweebs. "Hey, Kim. What's-'
'Up?" The other twin finished and there were three matching groans from around the room.
Kim turned from Shego to Demon and Ivy before she began to laugh softly. "Why do they do it too?" Ivy groaned.
"What? You three don't finish each other's sentences?" Kim asked while smiling.
"No." They did reply as one though.
"Who are-"
"They?" The tweebs were trying to see the room but could only see Kim.
"A set of triplets. Anyway, can you tell mum I'm not going to be home tonight?"
"Why?"
"Are you with your- boyfriend~?" On the word, both twins chimed in.
"Yeah, Kimmie, are you staying with your boyfriend?" Shego snorted at Demon's teasing.
"She better not be." Shego grunted and Kim shook her head.
"No, I'm not. Just let mum know I'll be home tomorrow. Please and thank you." She hung up before they could say anything else. Demon chuckled while Kim sighed heavily.
"Siblings." Ivy had the slightest of smiles on her lips and it made Demon crack up. Angel shook her head at them and continued to pet Demon while she watched the movie. Although, it didn't take long before they were all sleepy or dozing. This time Demon was one of the ones sleeping. Angel smiled at the taller woman. Her attention moved to Shego as she stood with Kim in her arms.
"Are you going to bed?" She spoke softly so the ones sleeping weren't disturbed.
"Yeah, Kimmie and I went at it in a lava lair, I'm not surprised she's out to the world." Kim mumbled something and buried her face in Shego's neck, making the slightly older woman shiver.
"Mmm, goodnight Shego."
"Night Alice." She walked off with Kim, heading upstairs to her room. Alice looked at Jasmine's sleeping face and smiled softly. She leaned back in her seat, head against the back of the couch.
"I could take her up if you want to sleep in a bed." Ivy's voice was soft as she looked at her oldest sister, a soft look on her face as she ran her fingers down her shoulder, feeling the tension she held there.
"We're okay, Ivy." She smiled at her as she lifted her head to look to the other woman with a soft smile.
Ivy paused before she nodded and gave her a tiny smile and left them on the couch together. Angel smiled down at the knocked out demon, her fingers running through her silky hair.
"You do well, always trying to protect them, but who will protect you when you're at your weakest?" She spoke softly to herself and the sleeping woman, considering carefully what lengths the demonic woman would go through to protect the ones she loved. If someone had said that the assassin she'd met when she was eighteen would end up being one of the best people she'd ever met, she would have taken them to a psych ward to get them assessed.
Spending time and getting to know her had been an experience of itself. She wondered if this was how Kim and Shego felt, after all, love and hate were a part of the same coin.
Wow, you guys have stunned me. Last week I checked my story stats and it was over 25000. This week I checked them and it was 41878, before I even finished my radio show it had gone up to 41905. (My radio show lasts from 3PM to currently 5:30 and I was messaging my mum at 4:20). This story's stats have nearly doubled over one week and I am stunned. Like I'm a shitty writer with no sense of time but you all seem to love what I'm writing so I'll try to keep getting it out there.
In the meantime, if I'm not getting it out fast enough, I'm trying to pace myself to a chapter a week, if you want to read other pieces I've written then have a look at my works (Don't read Demon's Rising. It has nothing to do with this Demon). But yeah, thank you for all your love and support, when I get to use a computer it blows me away to see how many of you have read my stories.
