Guess what!? The first chapter is done! But now I'm not sure whether or not to have the world behind the wardrobe be the the Never Realm or not... You know what I have worked hard to get where I am. I will decide that later.

Sirens blared a warning waking everyone up in the neighborhood. A bomb raid was beginning, people started flooding out of houses into the nearest shelters. A woman pushed through the crowd frantically searching and asking for her son.

"Lloyd!? Has anyone seen my son!?" The boy was nowhere to be found.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry but you need to get to the shelter. If we find your son, we'll keep a close eye on him until the raid is over," a soldier said as he forced the mother to follow the rest of the crowd.

The said boy was currently running around his house, grabbing everything he could.

Lloyd grabbed the picture of his dad and uncle and started running. An explosion shook the building causing him to fall to the floor. Glass rained around him and crunched as he pushed himself up. He ran the apartments to the bomb shelter that was behind them.

He entered to see his mother being consoled by two other women, "Mom! What's wrong!?" he shouted worriedly.

"Lloyd! You're okay!" She jumped up and hugged him. "I was so worried, what happened, how did you get separated from me!?" she asked.

"I got dad and uncle," Lloyd said, he held out the picture frame.

"What!? Lloyd, it's just a picture! What the hell were you thinking!?" his mother shouted, no one dare intervene when she smacked him.

"It's all we have left of him," he said timidly.

"Miasko, shut the shelter door!" someone shouted.

"Your father died doing something incredibly stupid like that," she snapped as she reached behind Lloyd and shut the door the shelter.

Lloyd stared at the train in horror, "Mom, please, no I'm sorry. I'll listen to you next time, I swear I will, I swear it. Please, please don't send me away!" he begged.

"I can't risk losing you, it's for the best. I promise." Misako told him.

"Please, I don't want to go to Darkely's School for Bad Boys. I promise I'll behave!" he begged.

"Mom! Mom! Mom, please!" two men started picking up Lloyd's things and guiding him to the train. Misako looked away as her son shouted for her. Tears slipping down her face.

Lloyd stared listlessly out the window, not processing anything he was seeing or hearing. He vaguely remembers that he wasn't the only one in that train car. But that's all he will ever recall from the ride.

When Lloyd got off the train, his eyes were puffy. He had cried himself to sleep, and was now supposedly at his stop. He looked around with a grimace, there didn't seem to be anyone or thing to clue him in on where to go. Or at least that's what he thought until he looked up.

He grimaced but started the long hike up the large hill. He eventually reached the top, he plopped down and panted. An elderly and sour looking man approached him.

"You're late," Lloyd opened his mouth to explain, but the man waved his hand. "This already perfect behavior Mr. Garmadon, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed offering you a scholarship," he grinned.

Lloyd looked at the man bewildered, Am I being praised for being late? he wondered. "There are some rules; No exploring or playing inside, you must be in bed by curfew, which is eight, and you must never follow the rules," the man told him.

Lloyd blinked owlishly. "That's not possible, in order to not follow the first ones you have to break the last one," Lloyd said mostly to himself. The man chuckled and sent Lloyd to his room.

Lloyd laid in bed, he was bored out of his mind! He wants to do his best to follow all the rules but it was hard. Especially with the paradoxical third rule.

"It's not breaking the rules if I was in bed by eight and I'm careful about exploring." Lloyd reasoned out loud.

He quietly crept out of his shared room and wander the halls. After some time had past of reckless wandering, Lloyd found himself frozen when he heard footsteps approaching him.

Oh nonononono, his thoughts rapidly went downhill on what was going to happen. He shook his head and took off from the footsteps. He started quickly jiggling doorknobs trying to find one that was unlocked. Finally a door creaked open, he quickly went inside when he saw shadows approaching. He went inside, there was a window, a fly and a dust cover rested on a large object. Lloyd opened the window for the fly, he smelled wet pine.

It must be raining he thought absentmindedly.

He closed the window and went over to the dust cover. He inspected it with a burning curiosity before he gave it a swift tug, it billowed down and rained down dust bunnies. Lloyd coughed and waved his hands clearing the dust. There was an intricately carved wardrobe depicting tales of two brothers. He reached up and traced the face of the brother shown as evil.

That looks like-

Well, there you have it. Please critique it and have a great Valentine's Day!

The doorknob rattle, interrupting his thoughts. He quickly glanced behind him to see the door slowly opening. He turned back to the wardrobe and quickly tugged at the handle. It swung open allowing him in. Lloyd climbed in and shut the door leaving the smallest sliver of light to seep in. He slowly backed up backed up towards the back. His hands brushed against the coats, a lot of them were really soft. Lloyd's foot hit something hard and he tipped backwards. His eyes screwed tight, bracing himself for impact with the back of the wardrobe. But instead he felt a searing cold hit him. His eyes flew open at the shock and he saw a bright blue sky above him.
