"So, let me get this straight."

Ford, Wendy, and Soos sat at one end of the table, with Dipper Gleeful and Mabel on the other. Only the light above the table had been turned on making it felt a lot like an interrogation room.

"This... Dipper, is from an alternate dimension where everything in this dimension is flipped and our Dipper is stuck in that dimension and you didn't tell me because...?" Ford looked at Mabel expectantly.

She looked down guiltily. "I was afraid you would freak out... And that you would put him in your lab and study him." She added quickly. Ford paused. "...You really thought that?" He asked. Mabel shrugged, still looking at the table. He sighed. "Well, I'm going to assure you that I am not going to experiment on him. And you have to promise me that you'll tell me the truth from now on."

Mabel looked at him gratefully and nodded. Dipper looked between them, confused. "Wait, that's it? You... You're not going to punish her?" He asked. Ford looked at him with concern. "Why would I punish her?" "Because she lied to you! My great uncle would have us writhing in pain if we ever did that! And he has!" Dipper replied indignantly.

Ford's face filled with sympathy and pity. He couldn't imagine ever causing the twins pain. He shook his head. "I assure you I would never do that."

Wendy and Soos studied this new Dipper. Wendy still didn't completely trust him. He had a certain aura around him, a vibe that read do not mess with me. She thought it was probably best to get him back to his dimension as soon as possible.

Soos looked the counterpart up and down. It was hard to think of him as different, he looked so much like his friend. Especially since he was wearing the blue jacket and red T-shirt, though he had taken off the hat, revealing his immaculate brown hair. That and the blue eyes was the big clue that this Dipper was very different from the one Soos was used to.

"Well, I think our first priority should be getting our Dipper back and getting this one back home. Then we'll deal with whatever Bill has planned." Ford explained. The others nodded, going along with the plan. It was the only thing they had.

"But how?" Wendy asked. "How do we get both of them back home?"

Dipper looked this Wendy up and down. She was extremely different from the goth he knew in his dimension. He wondered if this world's Dipper had ever had a crush on her, as he knew that the Wendy in his world had one on him. Or maybe this Wendy just hated the other Dipper's guts. He didn't really care either way.

Ford sighed. "I'm... not sure." He hated to admit. "Well," Dipper started. "Can't we look through the journals? See if they have anything useful?"

They room collectively flinched. Dipper looked at the suspiciously. "What is it?" "Well... seven years ago... we kinda threw the journals into a bottomless pit." Mabel finished quickly. Dipper stood abruptly. "You did what?!" He cried indignantly. Mabel shrunk under his glare. Ford began to stand as well. He had found out the hard way what happened when this Dipper lost his temper and was afraid he was about to do the same thing to Mabel.

"We threw the journals into a bottomless pit." Mabel murmured and looked down. "What on Earth possessed you to do that?!" Dipper exclaimed. "I- Look, those journals were a danger to us and the town!" Mabel replied, standing up as well. Wendy and Soos both watched in silence. "If someone or something dangerous got a hold of those journals then it would've put everyone in danger."

Dipper looked at her in shock. He couldn't believe the audacity they had to throw away such useful information. Like it was nothing. It made him want to tear his hair out. No, it made him want to tear their hair out. One strand at a time.

Mabel sighed. "Look, I'm sorry. But we can get our answers somewhere else. Like maybe the library?" Mabel put a hand on his shoulder. Dipper felt his anger deflate. It was hard to stay mad at this version of sister.

"Yeah, okay." He nodded. Ford felt a rush of relief as Dipper agreed. He was afraid he'd have to intervene.

"Maybe me and Soos can join you guys? The more the merrier, right?" Wendy offered. She didn't want to say it aloud, in case it came true, but she was worried that their Dipper might be in trouble in the other dimension. From what it looked like, everything was very different in that world. Plus, it couldn't hurt to want to keep an eye on this reverse Dipper.

Ford nodded gratefully. "Yes, of course. We'll need as much help as we can get." "Ooh! Maybe we can even invite Pacifica!" Mabel exclaimed, eyes shining. Dipper shook his head fiercely. "No. No. We are not inviting Pacifica."

"It's so cool of you guys to invite me along!" Pacifica told Mabel as the group walked up to the library. "Even though I still don't get this whole reversed situation." She said.

When Mabel had found Pacifica at the mall (it was the first place she looked), Mabel had pulled her aside and explained everything. Everything about Bill, the other Dipper, and the alternate universes.

Surprisingly, Pacifica hadn't immediately ran away from her in fear, yelling about how insane she was. She didn't even look that phased.

Instead she just replied, "Yeah, I guessed something like this would happen." "Wait, what?" Mabel had replied. "Well, not this specifically. But every time you two are around, something insane happens. Like at the golf course, the mansion, and at the end of the summer, when an evil triangle caused the apocalypse and turned my family, and the entire town, to stone." Pacifica amended. Mabel nodded guiltily. "Yeah, guess all those things did happen, huh?"

But nevertheless, she still agreed to help them. She tried to convince them it was because she had nothing better to do, but Mabel knew she just wanted to hang out with them again.

So there they sat in the library, pouring over sciencey books that might hold even one clue about getting both Dippers home.

Alright, I guess I should explain myself. I'm super sorry for the long wait. This chapter took awhile because I wasn't sure where to take it. Some characters just did not want to cooperate. But I'm actually pretty happy with this result.

Anyway, next chapter will come out soon and

I'll see ya later entertainers!
