Chapter 16: Home

Jen came into the living room carrying a laundry basket full of clothes. She set the basket down on a recliner and started folding the clothes. "I am so over doing laundry."

Kenny, who was sitting on the couch eating chocolate chip cookies with nutella and watching anime on the television, shifted his focus to Jen. "I must say, it feels nice having someone else do my laundry."

Jen grabbed a shirt from the pile and threw it at Kenny. "I'm sure it does." Kenny threw the shirt back to her and she folded it.

"I'll put up the clothes whenever you get done folding them."

"Thank you. That'll give me a chance to get the last load going." Jen felt accomplished that she would have all the laundry finished. She would have more time to relax Saturday, Sunday, and Monday before she and Kenny flew out for the next show. She folded the last of the clothes. "All done."

Kenny sat his snack on the coffee table. He placed all the clothes in the laundry basket. "If I'm not down in five minutes, you know where to find me."

Jen laughed. She had done some rearranging to Kenny's house when she moved in and he was still figuring out where everything went. She did appreciate that he offered to put up the laundry. This load was the clothes they wore while on the road, so it should be easy for him to put everything in their proper place. She went to the kitchen and looked out the window to see what Penny and KiKi were up to. The dogs were playing around in the spacious backyard. She felt something rub against her leg and it was Kenny's cat - whom she decided to nickname Kitty Omega as a joke. "Hey, buddy." She bent down to pick up the cat.

Kenny emerged in the kitchen with an empty laundry basket. "That went smoother than I thought."

"So, our undergarments aren't in the closet? And our shirts aren't in the same drawer as our pants?"

The Cleaner glared at his other half. "Give me some credit."

Jen laughed. Kitty Omega wanted down, so she easily placed him on the kitchen floor. "I was kidding. I appreciate you putting up the laundry."

"You're welcome." He watched as his cat bolted into the living room. "I see you and Kitty Omega - as you like to call him - are getting along wonderfully."

"Yep, we're becoming very good friends."

Kenny placed his hands on the counter and looked out the kitchen window. "You know, I honestly thought I would never see the day where I came home and it felt like a home. But with you and the pets, it feels like home."

Jen approached him, placing a hand around his waist and the other on his abdomen, snuggling herself into him. "I know exactly what you mean. Whenever I would be off the road, my place was just a place for me to sleep at and a storage for me to keep my belongings. Nothing ever felt like home until now."

"Never thought I would say this: but, Jacksonville, Florida is more homey than Winnipeg, Manitoba."

Jen smiled and ran her hand up and down his back. "I never thought you would say that either."

Kenny kissed the top of Jen's head and tightened his grip on her before letting go. "I'm getting hungry... what are we going to do for dinner?" Jen laughed at the topic change. "Sorry to change the topic, but my stomach starting growling."

"Do you want me to cook? Do you want to eat out? Do you want takeout?"

"You've done enough around the house today; there is no need for you to cook." The AEW tag team champion contemplated a little bit longer. "Takeout is fine with me. We can chill out here and stuff our faces."

"That sounds wonderful," Jen agreed. "Any preference?"

"Is Chinese food good for you?"

Jen adamantly nodded. "It sounds great."

"I'll go ahead and call then I'll go pick it up." Kenny got his phone out of his gym short pocket and dialed the number to the restaurant he would be ordering the chinese food from.

Jen went to the laundry room to toss the last load of laundry into the washing room. Once she washed and dried the towels and wash rags, she would be completed with laundry and it was an accomplishing feeling.

The couple sat in the living room, eating their chinese food and catching up on the Walking Dead episodes they hadn't seen yet. Kenny ordered them both vegetable lomein and eggrolls to eat. He also ordered honey chicken for Jen to eat since that was her favorite type of chinese chicken to eat. Both of them had diet pepsis to down the chinese food with.

"This was a good idea for dinner." She combined her noodles and honey chicken together. To her, it added more flavor.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it." He finished off his eggroll. "We haven't had chinese food in awhile, so I thought it would be something different."

"You did great with the decision."

"Glad you're satisfied." He and Jen finished their food at the same time. "Looks like I wasn't the only one who was hungry."

Jen laughed. "I was hungrier than I thought."

Kenny stacked their plates together and headed to the kitchen. Jen followed behind with the trash. Kenny put the dishes in the dishwasher while Jen threw the trash in the trashcan. She then grabbed some disinfectant wipes from one of the cabinets and went into the living room to wipe down the coffee table. Kenny ran the dishwasher and Jen put the wipes back in the cabinet before they joined each other back in the living room. They plopped down on the couch and Jen grabbed a blanket from behind the couch and snuggled up with it.

Kenny turned out the lamp beside him. Jen snuggled into his side and he put an arm around her. "I should probably restart this episode this episode because I am lost." Kenny looked down at Jen for a reaction, but instead, he saw she was asleep. "I'm going to take that as my cue that I can restart the episode. He grabbed the remote beside him and restarted the episode. He then laid the remote beside him again and sunk deeper into the couch. Jen stayed snuggled into him, still knocked out. "Someone has had a hard day." He stroked Jen's hair.

The Best Bout Machine opened his eyes. His lifted his head from the back of the couch. He looked down and saw Jen still snuggled into his side. He rubbed his eyes and discreetly moved Jen off of him so he could get up.

He went upstairs to their bedroom. He stripped off his clothes and walked to their bathroom, so he could shower. After adjusting the water like how he liked it, he got into the shower and shut the door. He shut his eyes and soaked in how amazing the hot water felt against his skin. The shower door opened and a very naked Jen revealed herself to him. "Do you mind if I join?"

Kenny merely nodded his head and Jen joined him in the shower. She stood under the shower head with him, letting her hair and body get soaked. She watched as the water rained down in Kenny's amazingly toned body. She ran her hands down his chest to his pecks and down his abdomen. "Jen..." he breathed.

She placed her lips onto his. She had her hands on his back and his hands were cupping her cheeks. Their kiss became deeper, her tongue running along his. She broke apart their kiss and nipped his lip. "Damn." She ran her hands down his pectoral region once more.

"You're really good with your mouth and hands."

"I know." She ran her tongue against his lips and ran her hands further down his toned body.

Tired of the teasing, Kenny grabbed Jen's face and crashed his lips onto hers. He wasted no time asserting his dominance with her. He slipped his tongue in her mouth and Jen moaned. Once they parted, Jen looked at him as if her eyes were rolled in the back of her head. "How was that for you, Best?"

"You're really good with that tongue of yours."

"I'll have to show you later how good I am."

"And I'll have to show you how good I am too."

Jen came down the stairs after spending most of the day in the office room working. "I am so freaking done with paperwork." She was working on outlines for the upcoming episode of Dynamite. All the EVPs sent her emails about potential ways the show could go and after six hours, Jen finally made her decision on the outline for the show.

Kenny patted the seat on the couch next to him and Jen happily occupied the seat beside him. "You finally came up with the finishing touches for the show?"

"Yes and oh my gosh, I am so exhausted." She leaned her head back against the couch. "I'm pretty sure my brain is fried."

"I give you props. You have one of the hardest jobs...you have to take all of our ideas and make it happen by putting it down on paper."

"I'm just glad I don't have to produce the segments. I'm not good at visually putting stuff together, I'm only good at outlining it."

"If it wasn't for your outlines then we wouldn't have anything to go by when the segments are produced."

Jen shrugged. "I suppose."

"Jen, you honestly are a big factor in why the show has been running smoothly as it has," Kenny assured. "Sure, we always have room for improvements, but if it wasn't for you then the show would be a clusterfuck. Nobody is as organized or punctual as you."

"Are you sure about that?"

"I'm positive."

Jen sighed. "I feel like I don't contribute as much as the rest of you. I mean you, Cody, and The Bucks are booking for certain divisions."

"You are constantly looking over the production to make sure the show is running smoothly. That is a tough task to handle."

"You know how to run the production," Jen assured. "You are in charge whenever the women are competing."

"But, you're usually sitting beside me and assisting me. If it wasn't for your assistance...everything would go to shit."

"You cover for me if I have to step away."

"That's usually for no more than five minutes though," Kenny laughed. "There's not much I have to do."

"Okay, I'm starting to feel like I'm more of an asset than I thought."

"Of course you are... please stop doubting yourself." He kissed her cheek. "Since you've been cooped up in a room all day, do you want to go out and see some fresh scenery?"

"I would love that."

Kenny and Jen got off the couch and grabbed their belongings they would need. Shutting off the television and the unnecessary lights, Jen told all the pets goodbye and followed Kenny out of the door. She got in the passenger seat and he got in the drivers seat and drove off to whatever destination he had in mind.
