Moshigara, The King's Castle…

It was finally morning when Glasco came to pick up Alba to meet the king. Glasco quickly escorted Alba to the throne room. They opened the door to see the king sitting on the throne. He looked exhausted. Must have had a rough night. He used to have those very frequently back on Earth.

When Glasco went about 4 feet from the king, he started to kneel. Alba then did the same when he saw that.

Alba was grateful to the king for agreeing to his terms, but his lesser vampires were out there still. He was worried for them. What if a demi-human found them. A demi-human would be capable enough to deal with one lesser vampire, maybe even two. He still had one favor to ask.

"Good to see you again, Glasco and Alba. Hopefully you rested well. Now let's get to business, but before we do. Do you have any questions Alba?" The king said stoically.

He smiled as he heard that and said "Actually there are some things I need to ask your Majesty." The king said quickly "Then ask away"

The first question is how you were able to see through [Disguise], which is a fifth tier illusion spell to see I was a vampire. Did you cast a detection spell before I entered the room?"

The king grinned after hearing he had the upper hand against the vampire and said "It was my Talent. It's called Vision-base. I can see through any illusion spell with my eyes.

Alba eyes then widened and thought 'What the fuck? That's broken as hell. That eliminates the effectiveness for multiple classes and that wasn't even in Yggdrasil. I need to know more.' He then asked "What is a talent?"

The king then laughed and hysterically said "So you can cast ninth tier spells and don't know what a talent is! That's just golden isn't it." He then calmed down and saw Alba's embarrassed face and smiled confidently as he said "Talents are rare, something 1 out of 200 people can have. It's something you're born with and can never change. They are special abilities only a select few have."

Alba was getting humiliated in front of Glasco. Glasco also had a smirk on his face. He was trying to hide his laughter, albeit not very good. He didn't want to embarrass himself further, but he needed more info even if he died from embarrassment. This world had many different "mechanics" than Yggdrasil and even different abilities. He needed more.

"I have another question, your Majesty." He then said while wiping a tear from his yellow eye "Then ask, this is a lot more fun that I originally thought." Alba could only hide his rising anger at the statement

"When we fought you said something called [Ability Boost]. What was that?" The king couldn't even laugh. The humor had died. This wasn't even funny anymore. The room was silent for a minute until the king said while facepalming "I was a martial art. Most warriors can use these and are very common. [Ability Boost] is one of these. How do you not know this? This is very common knowledge. Even peasants know this knowledge."

Alba couldn't come up with an excuse and said "I just don't. I feel very dumb right now."

The king knew that would be bad, but this was a good opportunity to just enjoy his humiliation. He needed something to cheer him up. Then Alba said " I have a request actually. You seem to be in a good mood now."

The king's smile went back to his neutral mask and said "What is it? You ask a lot and haven't done much in return." Alba then nodded and said "I would like to have my lesser vampires in my room with me. They are my valued servants and I miss them."

The king then sighed "I can't allow that. If word got out that I had vampires in the capital. The citizens will be upset. Also the Slane Theocracy would most definitely want to start a war. They already don't like me because i'm part demi-human."

"Only part demi-human?" Alba asked curiously. The king then sighed again. "I'm only part demi-human. My father was a tigerman and my mother was a human. My mom was a princess of the Kingdom. She then fell in love with a tigerman from the strip of land above us. Then I came to be. That place houses many demi-humans."

'Interesting, species can cross breed here. Yggdrasil didn't have half breeds. You could only be a human or tigerman. You couldn't split the traits. The closest thing you could get was buying a cash shop item and constantly change your race. That was a huge strain on the wallet though.' Alba then nodded.

"Well if you have no more questions, then Glasco let's go to Government Gathering. There is a meeting taking place I need to go to. While Alba uses his fancy [Disguise] spell, look around the capital. Something tells me you will be here a while."

Alba then smiled and nodded in agreement. Then Glasco went to open the door for the king and they both left together. Alba then yelled in his head. "Damnit, I forgot to ask about his guards. Whatever, I made myself look stupid. Next time i'll ask for a friend.' he then smiled at his own joke. Which was a bad one

He then went to his room so he could take out his money from his inventory. Time for him to finally go sightseeing like he said he would. He walked out the main entrance into the streets of Moshigara.

King's Castle, room outside Government Gathering…..

Before they entered the room the king told Glasco this "You are not needed in the room with Government Gathering. Please rest, or ask Alba some magic questions." He said amusingly.

Glasco looked a bit depressed and said "Yes, your Majesty" and slowly walked away. The king felt a little bad, but he wasn't sure if he could trust him still. He then opened the room to sit at Government Gathering.

The king had summoned his most loyal people to Government Gathering. Government Gathering is the table that his Great Grandfather had made. It was said to block scrying magic. It Is useful for a king, probably the most useful thing a king could have in his arsenal. Especially when the Theocracy love that type of magic and he is on their watchlist.

It's a nice gray round table. It looks to be made from smoothed stone. It's nothing fancy, but his Great Grandfather probably didn't have much to work with anyways.

He had his Advisor of the Treasury, Advisor of the Material, Advisor of Agriculture and Food. There were about 5 nobles that backed the king heavily. Marquess Farel, Baron Zana, Viscount Jack, Baron Charo, and Duke Vellan. They came as fast as possible. The king said it was urgent and that meant problems usually.

The king then sat in the biggest seat around the table. He then took off his crown to show his ears. Everyone in the room already knew he was a demi-human. Usually when he did that he had grave news. He sat the crown on the table and spoke "It appears that our country is going to be facing an issue that could make our country prosper or face it's destruction." People were looking confused when he said that. He then continued

"I had to make a difficult decision yesterday when a vampire came into my throne room." The men in the room started to be nervous. That statement would shake anyone loyal to the crown.

"That decision was to have an incredibly powerful undead make his residence inside the castle and win him over to our good side." People stood at the statement. The faces of shock and horror filled the room. Then the Advisor of the Treasury frantically spoke up "What do you mean "Make his residence in the castle". Why would you do this your Majesty! The undead hate the living, that's common knowledge. So why?!"

The king calmly responded "His power is unfathomable, that's why. What is the highest tier of magic a normal being can cast?"

Duke Vellan said fast "I believe it is 6th tier. I read that from a book in my library once."

"The Duke is correct. Do you also know of the thunder that killed my army and was so loud that the whole world probably heard it." Everyone nodded

"This may surprise you, but that was magic. The vampire named Alba Messorem called it [Call Greater Thunder]. He said it was a ninth tier spell." Everybody's faces paled at the words.

"Not only is he capable of casting ninth tier spells, but he is also a good sword fighter. I need him on our side. If he grows to hate humans then he won't hesitate to destroy the world. Try to be nice to him. Don't kiss his ass though. He will be suspicious if that happens. Try to treat him like a friend."

The men didn't want to believe what they heard, but they understood the situation. Only an arrogant king would have turned him away or tried to kill him. This is why they followed King Salva. He was a wise and thoughtful king. He cast pride when it would hinder and used it when it would help. He was a good king.

With that the king dismissed everyone with that in their heads. He told them what he looked like and if he approached them. They should act friendly. With this they weren't exactly thrilled, but even they knew how important this relationship was. They had to be nice to the undead whether they liked it or not…...
