Chapter 4: Leo

After regrouping with Jason and Tyson Leo had decided to leave Nimes as soon as possible. The Argo III raced across the clouds. From the cockpit Leo could see the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean. He reminisced about the voyage he and his friends had taken months before in their efforts to stop Gaia. Using the on-board Styx detector Leo discovered that the nearest source of Styx water was located in Sicily. The bronze dials of the Argo III displayed that the plane had barely enough fuel to reach the island. He felt a firm hand on his shoulder. Looking up he saw Jason's reassuring face. The son of Zeus's smile made Leo feel reassured. Turning back towards the controls Leo could see Sicily come into view. The Argo III reached the island. Ahead of the plane lay Mount Etna. Leo could see a stone entrance on the outside of the Island. Without thinking he steered the plane towards the entrance. The Argo III found itself in a large hanger. Coming to a stop, Leo could see chariots lined up each side of the hanger.

The four demigods exited the plane.

"Where are we?" exclaimed Annabeth. Leo knew exactly where they were. He felt it.

"This is my father's forge." He replied.

"But it was inside Mount St Helens…Percy destroyed it." Said Annabeth. Leo spun to face her.

"No. This is my father's original forge." The group continued into the mountain.
