Enid didn't really get a lot of sleep in Grimella's tower; in fact, it was rather similar to when she'd slept in Hilda's home not that long ago. It wasn't that much of a hindrance to her, however, considering that she'd slept so well in Djimmi's pyramid and in the Sugarland Estate. One night surely couldn't disrupt her that much!

Though, she knew that when morning would come, she'd have to wish Grim and Grimella goodbye, along with the funfair in general. She'd made the decision overnight that she would wish all of her friends goodbye, much like she did in the past. When morning came, she started with the princess and her companion.

"Stay steadfast. You can't run. Devil man is in the ring. It won't be long now. The end is coming. Enid Edwards, you'll just have to face it," Grimella said, giving Enid a regal bow. She seemed a little...off this morning. She obviously knew something that Enid didn't.

"T-T-Take care, Enid! I encourage you to think of the p-p-princess and me when you travel! We're rooting f-f-for you!" Grim said, playfully showing off by letting out a small flame. He then leaned down, letting Enid hug his neck, much like he had let Grimella hug him the night before. Enid couldn't help but hug the princess before giving both a curtsey and heading off.

Enid walked down the festive streets of the funfair, watching as excited excited people were already starting to fill the queues for the rides. She knew that she would miss the area. She'd miss the excitement, the happiness, the bright colors. She felt so...at home here, despite her horrifying experience with Aunt Slappy's in the past.

Enid made her way to the birdhouse, knocking on it softly. Wally could apparently tell that it was her, considering that when he poked his head out, he had a gentle look on his face rather than an irritated one. Wally, Jr. also came out as his father greeted the guest.

"Well, my dear fellows, I'm afraid that my time here has come to an end. Though, I'm sure we'll see each other again when my quest is over! I do hope that you don't forget about me!" Enid smiled, once again curtseying.

Wally, Jr. smiled, though it was a sad smile, and wrapped his tiny wings around Enid, pulling her into a hug. "I'm gonna miss you, Enid! Dad will miss you, too! Don't fowget dat!" The baby cried while his dad nodded.

"Take care of yourself out there. My son and I will be thinking of you," Wally said, letting Enid stroke his soft head.

It was hard to leave the father and son behind, but Enid eventually left the birdhouse and made her way back to the Sugarland Estate. She knocked on the castle's door, and when Baroness Von Bon Bon answered, to Enid's surprise, she had her sons with her. All of them!

Enid curtseyed ten times, shook ten hands, and heard ten introductions. Whilst doing so, she tried to tell the mother Von Bon Bon that she was going to be leaving for a while. The baroness just smirked, as it was obvious that she was getting lost in the sea of attractive, adolescent males.

"Oh, dear child, what a shame! I really wanted you to get familiar with all of my boys. I'm sure they'd love you," the baroness's smirk got more...malicious. "Whenever your quest is over, you'd better come back here. I'm always looking to extend the Von Bon Bon family."

After that uncomfortable experience, Enid rather quickly left the Sugarland Estate to go to the pyramid. She was still exceedingly happy with the wish that her kind friend had granted her, and still felt as if she owed him quite a lot. She entered the tent, went to the sarcophagus, and kneeled humbly, as if she were a pagan kneeling down to worship a god.

"My dear Djimmi, as you probably know, my time here is coming to a close. However, my wonderful friend, please know that I greatly thank you for everything that you've ever done for me. Even though I'm in a new land, I have a new family, a new woman to call my mamma. I'm forever grateful for the selfless act of kindness that you performed for my birth mamma, Shirley Edwards. I miss her a lot, but I know that she won't have to miss me. She won't be worried, troubled, sad...and that's all that matters," Enid said, teary-eyed. Djimmi burst out of the sarcophagus, pulling Enid into a bear hug that lifted her off of the ground.

"My little nabob, I'm really gonna miss ya. It was your own thinkin' that led to this kindness, y'know. And...not to take any glory away from the Queen of the Funfair, but I can predict futures, too, in all my greatness. I predict that a storm's-a-brewin'...but you've got your umbrella," the djinn said, keeping Enid in the embrace. She didn't want to leave him. She didn't want to leave any of her friends...but she felt comforted. She had to go, or else the Devil would become increasingly impatient. Enid didn't know what type of storm Djimmi was talking about, but she'd have an umbrella, whether that be physical or metaphorical. She knew that she'd be protected.

Finally, Enid made her way to her last destination. Walking toward the coaster, she saw Beppi making a balloon animal, his usual cheerful, smiling self. Smiling, she waved, but it seems that Beppi already knew why she was here.

"Lemme guess...you're leavin' us. You were talkin' to everyone else, so I expected it. I've been watchin' how well you've been makin' friends with the people 'round here. I know that you'll be able to melt the hearts of the folks in Isle Three, just like you melted ours. Just remember, you can always come back to see me...or anyone, for that matter," Beppi smiled, giving Enid a big hug.

"Please, Beppi...take care of Grimella for me. You two seem to care about each other a whole lot. I know that you can show her the love and affection that her daddy never showed her! She says that there's love, but I know there ain't! You two seem to be mighty good friends, and even though she isn't always the nicest, I know that she cares about you. I just know it," Enid said, smiling as Beppi nodded and hugged her tighter. He told her that he would indeed do as she asked, and then she was off. It was finally time to go.

The walk from the coaster to the Die House was dolorous. Enid was so afraid of what King Dice would say. What insults he would throw at her. Her little legs trembled as she walked. She said a silent prayer as the sight of the house got closer and closer...then, she opened the door.

There he was. The man who tormented her, insulted her, and made her miserable. He stood there, his hand on his hip in a sassy way. Though, instead of an evil smile on his face, he seemed more...nervous? "H-Hello, Mr. King Dice," Enid curtseyed, still trying to be polite.

"Well, if it ain't the little ankle-biter herself. I didn't expect to see you so soon after what happened last time," King Dice said, bowing. Even though he called her an ankle-biter, his voice wasn't mocking or malicious. It just seemed...normal.

"Now, you rugrat, I believe that I should start off this encounter of ours with an apology. I understand that my behavior as of last time was not something that a child like you should expect from an adult such as myself...especially from someone as dignified as I," King Dice started before Enid could even think about opening her mouth. Enid was amazed! He was...apologizing?! She couldn't help but smile.

"It's quite all right, sir. I wholeheartedly accept your apology," Enid cried joyously. Because he'd shown her kindness, whatever his interpretation of kindness may be, she was quick to forgive him.

"With my apology out of the way, I have come to say that I am no longer your enemy. You see, child, sometimes my boss can...er...propagandize me, let's just say. He's the Devil, what do you expect? He's the sinner of all sinners, but he can make people believe he's perfect. Though, as a dear friend and I were out on a walk the other night, they bluntly reminded me of some of the things that my boss had done in the past. That...I am not proud of. This friend also reminded me of the tenderness that I had shown them when our relationship was still blossoming, and they begged me to show this tenderness to you. Therefore, Enid, I hope that we both can put my bitter villainy behind us," King Dice said, holding out his hand for Enid to shake.

Enid couldn't believe it! With someone such as King Dice on her side, she could get pretty strong! So many people warned her of him, saying he could never be changed, but Enid now knew that this wasn't the case. He could change, and she would be the one to change him.

Instead of simply grabbing his hand, Enid leapt, embracing the man tightly as she thanked everyone; she thanked King Dice, she thanked the Lord, she even thanked Biddy, whom she immediately knew was the friend that had changed King Dice's mind. King Dice himself was stunned by the sudden hug, but eventually sighed and wrapped an arm around the girl as tears came to her eyes again. Though, instead of tears of misery and despair, these were tears of love, peace, and joy.

There was only one time that Enid remembered her father showing her tenderness, and it had been whenever her career was seen to be in its prime. She had been asked to model for yet another cigarette company, but she didn't exactly know that the picture of her featured would be...inappropriate.

Enid remembered staying in her room for a horribly long time, just sulking because of how sinful and embarrassed she felt. No one, not even her mother, servants, or her beloved reverend could get her to calm down. Most likely through his wife's nagging, Mr. Edwards went to Enid's room and brought her into an embrace similar to this one. He told her that it was over with, and she'd never have to go through that embarrassment again. He rubbed her back, stroked her hair, and silenced her crying. She remembered latching onto him, finally feeling love from a father whom she'd thought hated her. Though, it wasn't to last. The very next day, George Edwards was back to his cold, cruel self.

"Oh, my dear King Dice, while you have apologized to me, I now wish to apologize to you. After the events of our last encounter, I thought nothin' but bitter, cruel things of you. I regret to admit that I felt as if I hated you. I believed that you were a man who could show no feelings rather than bitterness, and I immediately despised and cursed you. I do believe that it was immature to do that, even for a fledglin' like myself, and I doubt that I ever felt that much bitterness toward my own daddy, who treated me at least ten times worse than you had. As much as I've wholeheartedly accepted your apology, I hope you'll accept mine, sir, as we try to fill in the cracks," Enid said confidently.

King Dice nodded, letting a small smile show. "Of course, of course. Wholeheartedly, ya little rugrat. Well, I mustn't be holding you for much longer. I'm sure that you'll have things a-plenty to do in Isle Three. When you leave this place, Bridget asked me to inform you that she and the boys will be waitin' for you to show you around. My house, my real house, is here on Isle Three as well. I strongly recommend that you come and pay me a visit sometime. I'm sure that you'll like it. Everyone who sees it does," King Dice said, giving Enid a small handshake before doing his usual exit of going straight through the floor.

Oh, how happy little Enid was! Someone who she'd thought would be her greatest enemy had just become an ally! Well, he didn't exactly say that he was, but she knew that he was. Her heart beat with excitement and joy, she wiped her tears, and she opened the door, entering into what would certainly be a whole new world to her.

Immediately, the beach breeze blew through her hair, which was something that felt all-too-familiar, having lived in South Carolina and all. That made the smile on her face grow. She looked around the large city, seeing the colorful houses, the beach, and...wait, there wasn't a Die House here! Somewhat close to a gargantuan house was a cave, which she could only guess was the entrance to the casino...Well, it obviously was. There was a big welcome sign in the middle of it. She didn't feel very welcome around it, though. Something about it reminded her of Grimella. Maybe her dad worked in the casino or something? Enid shrugged it off, going to find the boys and Biddy. She wasn't going to let that blasted casino ruin her good time.
