We walked for what felt like hours as the sun started disappearing and it began getting dark. After it was too dark to travel, I let out a sigh and told the others to stop in which they did.
"Okay… This seems like a good place to sleep for tonight. We'll continue tomorrow." I said.
The two nodded and stayed quiet as they dropped the bags and started unpacking and setting up camp.
During our time sitting around the campsite, I just stared up at the stars in the pitch black sky. Closing my eyes, I started thinking that we're just about there. We're just about there from getting home. We just need to reach the area we entered without getting jumped again. When I reopened my eyes, I slowly sat up and stared at the two who were just cooking some food. Letting out a small sigh and looking down, I crawled up towards them and sat near the fire. They spoke among themselves while cooking and once the food was done, they grabbed it and gave me some. I took it and ate. When I finished, I spoke.
"So… That was a pretty successful grab." I said.
"Yeah. I'm just glad that figure didn't come back any sooner or it'd be trouble." Icy said.
"Got that right. I'm just glad it was actually the medallion and not some junk." I said.
"Me too. I didn't really have a clear view. I only saw a faint glow and remembered the medallion glows faintly." She said.
"Glad you caught that detail. Anyways… We should get some sleep soon. Getting kinda tired from all that walking..." I said.
"Same. Keep that medallion close in case it disappears upon waking up." Ivy spoke.
"Good idea. Do you still have that metal box, Icy?" I looked at her.
"Yep. Kept it close to me within my bag." She said, pulling it out from the bag.
"Good, good. Well, I'm gonna get some sleep now. Just remember to put the fire out." I said.
The two agreed as I walked into the tent and laid on a sleeping bag. I stretched and sighed before closing my eyes and laid there, soon falling asleep a minute later.
When I awoke, I was in darkness. Looking confused and slowly getting up, it was complete darkness. This confused me further as I tried calling out but no one replied.
"Huh…?"
I began slowly walking around in this void as I had no idea what was going on. The ground was there, but pitch black and showed no light or color other then complete solid black.
"T- this… I don't know… How to m- make of this..." I told myself.
My footsteps echoed with each step as I explored this empty void. I walked for few minutes before suddenly feeling the ground disappear under me due to me not seeing it. I let out a gasp of surprise upon feeling nothing under my feet as I started falling down into wherever I was.
Closing my eyes tightly, I shook in fear as I continued to fall further and further. But then. Nothing. Nothing happened. I felt nothing and it confused me. I didn't hit the ground as I just felt nothing. I was able to move my body and soon I opened my eyes before looking around.
"W- what?" I shivered.
Slowly moving my head, I was unable to see anything but soon I heard a voice which appeared very muffled. I couldn't understand it, but as it grew in intensity, I suddenly felt a strong force slap my face.
This slap was enough of a jolt for me to wake up. I remember gasping as my eyes shot open and I launched up into a sitting position. With this action, I noticed Ivy who jumped back in surprise.
"Gold, finally…! We need to get out of here." Ivy sounded a bit panicked.
"H- huh?" I looked at him.
"We were just about to get some sleep as we just put the fire out… However when we were getting into our beds, we started hearing a loud ass engine. Clearly an engine from a massive truck. Once we heard that, we quickly looked and noticed headlights fly down the path right next to us." He said.
"C- crap… Guess they are pretty angry." I replied.
"Yeah. We really need to get going. Now. I don't know where the truck went, but I think it stopped up the path since the engine suddenly cut off like it was turned off." He said.
Icy joined us a moment later as I slowly got up.
"Okay, we need to unpack and get going fast if that truck is wandering around." I told them.
"Yeah, lets get packing." Icy replied and got out.
Ivy left as I exited my tent and quickly took down everything. We stuffed everything into the bags and threw them over our backs. Once we finished everything, we started to travel back to the entrance location. This was however the same direction the truck went. We all knew this but we tried not getting bothered by it. We would most likely have to simply sneak by and hope they don't see us.
So as we traveled down the path, we tried staying within the trees as we made no noise.
We traveled for a bit before we suddenly stopped. I looked forward and noticed brake lights flashing down the pathway.
"Well… Here's the truck. See anyone?" I asked.
"No, not yet. Lets be very careful." Ivy said.
Nodding slowly, we stepped forward and reached the truck a moment later. After reaching the truck, we slowly walked into the treeline and began slowly moving around the truck. It was very quiet as we tried our best not to make any noise like cracking branches or rustling the dry grass. I held my breath and looked over to notice the truck just idling there. It somewhat confused me but I believed the Pokemon who drove it here was looking around the surroundings. This scared me since I wasn't sure if we'd run into them randomly and that would be the end. I let out a sigh and tried not thinking about it as I started to go a bit faster to get away from this area.
The five minutes of moving around this truck was very intense and frightening as we managed to get far enough to get back on track. We of course didn't get back on the trail since this was a one way road, so they can just simply drive down the path and notice us.
So we continued walking down the treeline a few feet from the road. We continued walking down the treeline for about three miles.
"Okay… Just a little more to go. I remember this place… We're nearing the location we have entered at." Ivy said.
"Yeah, good. Lets get there fast." I said.
The two nodded as we picked up our pace. It was cold but we shook it off, trying our best to get to our destination as fast as we can.
Now, it took a while before reaching the area. Once we reached the area, I somewhat rushed towards it. However, before reaching it, I heard it. A roaring engine closing in very quickly. My eyes widen as I looked at Ivy and Icy who looked shocked. We looked at each other for a moment before getting blinded by a massive beam of light. Two massive high beams turned on from the massive truck as they approached extremely fast.
"Holy hell! Avoid!" I screamed.
The three of us quickly ran and dove into a ditch as I felt the truck fly next to us just inches.
"We need to go now…!" Ivy shouted.
He didn't need to tell me as we all got up and ran into the forest. I looked back and noticed the headlights shining brightly through the trees that we ran through. I thought we were safe, but I was wrong as the truck suddenly floored it into the forest. Looking on with surprise, the truck pretty much ripped the trees from their roots as they fell with a loud thud. Upon seeing this, I shouted at the two to run faster. However, with the bags, it slowed us down somewhat as we tried running through the thick and dense forest. I managed to keep looking back as the truck continued forcing it's way through the forest, clearing the trees that stood in front of it.
"D- damn it…! Run! Split up!" I told them.
"W- what?!" Ivy replied.
Panting, I started feeling sweat run down my face.
"Meet up at the swamp if we get separated…!" I said.
"O- okay, don't get tailed…!" Icy replied.
Nodding, I felt my vision flash as it dimmed. This didn't stop me as I suddenly turned to the right and ran a different way. The others ran off in a random direction as I was soon alone, hearing the truck's engine roar and the sound of trees falling.
Shaking heavily as my chest hurt, I continued running before exiting the forest. Once out of the forest, I just continued running. When I couldn't hear the engine anymore, I stopped and instantly fell and landed hard on the grass. My legs completely gave out upon me stopping and all the air escaped me once hitting the ground.
I was just gasping for air as I felt very lightheaded and nearly blacked out due to it. It took a bit for me to regain my breath as I just laid there, not wanting to move since my legs were numb and couldn't move at all.
Looking up slowly from the ground, my vision flashed black and red as I was unable to think.
I laid there for a bit, possibly around twenty minutes before slowly getting up. My legs still felt numb as they shook heavily. I coughed and stumbled as I calmed down a bit by taking somewhat sharp and forced inhales. My eyes closed before noticing my nose bled.
"D- damn… M- must have busted my nose almost..." I gasped slightly.
Shaking my head very slowly, I tried walking, stumbling with each step. I just stumbled across the field. It pained me as I continued to walk. My eyes fell on what looked like a small shack. I shook and sighed, deciding to go there.
When there, I gripped the knob of the door and tried opening it. It was locked. Letting out a deep annoyed sigh, I braced myself and soon forced my body against the door.
Due to the door being old I suppose, it gave in easily and soon I fell into the shack. Groaning while laying there, I closed my eyes and slowly got up. Holding my head, I slowly walked around and noticed nothing much of use.
"I feel like hell… U- ugh… Need… Some rest..." I said.
Looking around, I found a good area to lay down. I laid down and closed my eyes for a moment but ended up falling asleep.
When I woke up, I felt much better honestly but I still felt sore from running that hard and fast. I just sat up and rubbed my legs, letting out a shiver.
"Damn… Ugh… I need to find Ivy and Icy..." I said softly.
Slowly getting up, I leaned against the wall and walked towards the door, using objects to support my body. When I managed to reach the door, I slowly opened it and looked around. There was nothing outside as I walked out and sighed.
"Okay… The swamp..." I said.
Began walking, I had no idea where to go. I just decided to backtrack. It was hard for me but I pushed on, feeling my body ache slightly.
"O- okay… Ivy and Icy need to survive… I don't want to be alone here… I just hope they know where to go..." I said.
Shaking my head, I looked up and looked determined as I walked towards the swamp location...
