RWBY - Determined Knight
Hello guys, welcome to another chapter of this story. So for the long wait but I haven't had the motivation to write this for as long as I did with my other stories as RWBY has kinda fallen off my radar, and its just not fun to write as much anymore, considering that I was balancing two RWBY stories, it got kind of... repititive I guess. I will try to continue uploading this story, but now I have set my sights on creating stories based on your challenges rather than my own, as my ideas kinda suck sometimes.
My Hazbin Hotel story is very... iffy when I want to write it, I will try to get another chapter out soon. I just hoped that another episode will be out so I can get some more stuff to base on the show, since that is not the case so far... well, I'm in a rut with that.
Anyways, I want you guys to vote on the Poll on my profile, the winner of the poll will be what the next uploaded story will be. Votes in the reviews will also be added to the final tally.
Voting will close the 7th of next month, leaving ample time for you to get some votes in.
Chapter 12: Revelations
It had been a solid week since the entire food fight debacle, and to say that Professor Goodwitch was mad was an understatement of the century. She was so mad that she placed the entirety of team RWBY and JNPR into detention for the week. Even Jaune and Pyrrha, who had left before the food fight got out of hand were punished. For Jaune, it was becuase he couldn't control his partner Nora, and if he had done so, it would have meant that the food fight might have been mitigated or not have exploded into an all out food brawl that led to large scale damage of the cafeteria, which in turn, made it unavaliable for nearly two whole days despite the efforts of Glynda's semblance.
Pyrrha was punished because she was meant to be the mature one in the group along with Quae, however, since she decided to not try and stop the entire debacle, Glynda thought that it would be suited for her to join in on the punishment of detentions as well. Just becuase she had fame and strength behind her, didn't mean that she was free from punishments, and it would be unfair to leave only one person of the two offending teams out of detention.
So, not only did team RWBY and JNPR have to go to classes those days, but as soon as the last period ended, they had to serve detention with Professor Goodwitch, and those detentions lasted for a solid two hours before they were free to go, and it was safe to say that they had many late nights catching up on all the homework they couldn't complete when they had free periods during the day.
Seriously, it was terrible punishment to serve detentions, but to have even more punishment dropped on them, making clean up all of the gum under the desks or even making a room as clean as a whistle, meaning no specks of dirt or any stray pieces of paper from notebooks anywhere to be seen, only for them to have to redo the room in the next detention as the classroom was used all day was absolute torture.
Even Nora, the most exciteable and energetic of the eight was mopping about, complaining and whining and even skipping out on a few moments to actually try and sleep - not that it worked as Glynda was watching them like a hawk.
However, despite the awkward tension that had built up around the two teams dissipated, with all eight of them eventually getting over it - some faster than others - as they didn't want the stress of catching up on homework or the lack of sleep to cause even more problems. Like what they say, live and forget. It also happened to be a time when those eight individuals would converse with each other to help pass time and make the tasks they were given go quicker.
It was safe to say that many things were learnt from others, with some of the details that they hadn't known about coming to life and making the two teams that much closer friendship wise.
Although, from when the girls asked Jaune, he merely waved it off saying 'Another time' or when they continued pestering about since they basically spilled the beans to some of their past, he merely replied with, 'Not now, not private enough.', and now, the girls were really intrigued about what Jaune would go against what has been done and rather state it in somewhere more private, but the girls knew that it most be something if it needed to be said in something more private than an empty classroom and late at night.
"Alright, Jaune. Want to tell us now?" The statement was made by non other than Yang, who was looking at him with her lillac eyes filled with curiosity.
Jaune on the other hand sighed to himself, ever since he made the statement that he wanted it to be more private before he spilled what he did in the holidays, that meant that all the girls were eager to know something, even Weiss couldn't help but have her interest piqued by what Jaune wanted to say.
"Yang, Jaune will tell us when he is ready." The near monotonous voice of Blake spoke out. She knew what it was like to keep something hidden, of course it was easy to do, but once people were interested, it made it just a little harder to keep it together when the continuous pestering was happening.
"Thanks, Blake." Jaune said, giving a small smile to the feline Faunus, a smile in which she returned gently, before her body shivered and she glanced towards Yang, who was looking at her like she just did something wrong and offended her.
Seriously, to her, this entire thing that was still happening between Pyrrha, Yang and Ruby was nonsense.
Glacing around the interjoined dorm room, which the living room for team JNPR's dorm had basically become the meeting room or even gathering room for fun and games for everyone. He saw that everyone from both teams were present, each doing their own little thing. Weiss was catching up on some work she hadn't been able to complete the night before, Nora and Quae were enjoying some rather melodramatic television show, Ruby was reading some comics on the lounge, Blake was reading at the kitchen table, Pyrrha and Yang were staring each other down with literal sparks going between them.
"Right, so... you wanted to know something about me?" He asked, before heading over to the extended lounge which could fit at least six other people if they used their space correctly. It was a new addition that everyone helped chipped in some Lien to have delivered to the dorm room. They didn't want Weiss to pay everything and eventually have that debt repayed somehow... even though she would probably never need it.
"Yes, we want to know what you did during the break, we all said what we did, except for you." Nora called out, somehow appearing by her partners side and shaking him back and forth, nearly making him gain a splitting headache from his brain being rattled around too much.
"Well... I guess I can say what I did." Jaune finally said after a small pause in contemplating if this was the right thing to do, to disclose such a thing, but he shook those thoughts out of his head, they were his team, and most of all, they were all his friends and he could trust them.
It was like Jaune spoke a magic statement, with all the girls suddenly taking up spaces around the lounge around him or just sitting on the floor in front of him - those two were Yang and Pyrrha - although, he had the unfortunate - or fortunate - timing of looking at the exact movement Yang made an overdramatic attempt at sitting down, which of course with Jaune's luck, the quick pace hiked Yang's miniskirt up slightly and he managed to catch a glimpse of her undergarments.
'White lace...' He thought to himself, a small blush on his cheeks as the image was burned into his head. Since his 'awakening' to the pleasures of the female flesh or sexy things thanks to Terra, he now was corrupted in a sense and couldn't help but oogle his friends bodies and marvel at the beauty of them - discreetly of course.
Try as he might, he just never took Yang to be one who wore such pure colors for undergarments, he thought she would be bolder in color to match her fiesty personality. Apparently not though.
What he didn't see was the victorious look that Yang sent Pyrrha, who was looking at Yang with an annoyed look, she had to bite back a feral growl as Yang smirked at her whist mouthing 'Score to me'.
"Well, for my break, I spent most of my time training with Pyrrha, to help me catch up to everyone, as I realised that I wasn't exactly... suited to fight, even in spars I have difficulty... and sadly, that also counts towards the training bots here." Jaune said, before continuing to add on one more thing, "Thank you again, Pyrrha. You helped me a lot and helped me grow some sort of self-confidence."
Pyrrha preened and blushed under the praise of her crush, while she triede to vehemently deny his first accusation about him being weak once again, she didn't get it off in time before he continued.
"Oh, so do you think you can take me on? I do hope that you have been practicing hand-to-hand, otherwise I might have to... punish you with another few rounds." Yang said, sending a discreet dirty look towards Pyrrha and leaned forward, a rather sweet smile on her face as she gazed at Jaune, her eyes bleeding into a light red color.
The slight innuendo wasn't lost on most girls - barring Ruby - and they gained light tintings of pink upon their cheeks, "Yang, could you be anymore unlady-like?" Weiss questioned Yang, rather annoyed at the constant inneundos she had to listen to most of the time.
Shrugging her shoulders at that answer, Yang replied, "I could, however, I don't think that I want to risk it."
Weiss made a noise that was hard to differentiate between a growl and grunt of annoyance.
"Ahem-" Clearing his throat to stop a verbal fight that was bound to start, he decided to answer Yang's question, "Well, you see Yang, Pyrrha isn't... suited for hand-to-hand combat, so I couldn't get much practice in." He admitted, he however, got shivers running down his spine when he saw the look that she was giving him, and it wasn't a good look, it was making his insticts scream at him to run for the hills, "But... maybe we could practice some more?" He tried to placate her ire.
"Hmm..." Yang hummed out, resting her hand upon her chin and eyeing him, Jaune could see the conflict dancing in her eyes as she looked at him, he even saw her eyes start to bleed into crimson red around the edges, eventually she just shrugged her shoulders, "Fine. However, I expect double the work from you now."
Sighing to himself, he knew her sessions were hard and required a lot of work, so now she basically made it double. His arms, hands and shoulders were going to be aching for a while, he just knew it.
"Anyway, back on topic." Weiss cut in, her icy blue eyes locking onto Jaune's deeper blue eyes, "What else did you do, surely you couldn't have only trained all break. That just won't be possible." She added on, looking at him with interest in what he had to say.
"Well, I got a job, working as a crossing guard at the nearby pre-school in Argus." He admitted, earning some interested looks from the females around him - barring Pyrrha who already knew this.
"Why?" Ruby innocently asked, her silver eyes sparkling in curiosity as she looked at Jaune, finally placing her comic book down on her lap.
Scratching the back of his head, he gave a nervous smile to the group, "Well... I wanted to earn some money for myself, I felt like I was not earning my keep at my sisters house, so I made a resume and handed it in."
"But... why? You could have gotten one right here in Vale, instead of being at the job for a month then quitting due to school starting again." Blake pointed out, not seeing in the point of applying for a job - and getting it - only to quit after a month due to school. It just seemed like a waste of time and a waste of Lien for the company.
"I wanted experience... something else to put on my resume so I can get one here." Jaune stated, blushing in embarrasment, "Plus, it was worth it, seeing the smiles on the kids faces as we pretended to be soldiers marching into battle, it just made everyone happy, even the mothers watching me like a hawk. Hell, I even got a few little cards that the kids made to thank me."
He sighed at remembering the sheer joy that radiated from the kids as they pretended to be soldiers - and him the leader - however, that quickly changed when a shiver went down his spine as he remembered the MILF's that were watching him. They were looking at him like a hawk one day, then the next day they were pushing their bodies against him and even offered him casserole.
Yang and Ruby blushed deeply at the look he was making, also hearing that he was good with children bumped him up even further in their books. If he was good with children, then that must relate to him being a good father in the future.
They blushed even deeper at that thought before shaking them away.
Hopefully no one noticed their little moment.
"I have a feeling that there is another reason." Quae suddenly said, making her voice known for the first time in this little 'meeting' as they called it. Since she was more intuned with emotions, she could feel that Jaune was leaving something out, and it was something that was causing him to feel nervous and nearly afraid. Honestly, it was the first time that she sensed this underlying fear so much in Jaune.
Even when he was being bullied by Cardin it wasn't that bad. This must be extremely personal.
"Well..." Jaune muttered out, his cheeks burning bright red.
The voice was so low that even Blake had trouble hearing it, and she was one of the closest to him, "What did you say?" Nora asked, basically leaning onto him. Even in that position she wasn't able to hear what he muttered.
Taking a deep breath, Jaune readied himself for the obvious questions that would be thrown his way, "I said... I'm going to be a father." He said, looking down and waiting for the impending stampeded of questions.
"What!"
"Huh!"
"What the fuck!"
"Swear jar!"
Between the seven girls around him, those were the shouts of surprise that he heard the most, it was hard to tell who said what as all the voices seemed to blend together at that moment. He was just glad that it was the weekend and it was during the afternoon rather than at night - otherwise they might have been in trouble if another team reported them complaining about the noise.
They didn't want another meeting with Professor Goodwitch so soon.
Peaking his head up, he saw that most of the girls had absolute shocked expressions on their faces, even Blake and Quae, normally the most stoic of the bunch had surprised expressions.
Although... 'Is that blood?' Jaune thought to himself in confusion as he witnessed a slight trail of blood leaving Blake's nose, however, that was swiftly dealt with by the girl in question as her amber eyes stared directly into his own. At least she offered a small smile.
"Hold on... you, a father?" Weiss asked with some hesitation, while she didn't fully believe that Jaune would be unable to get a girlfriend, she just didn't expect him to say that news. Being a father would be some challenging work... well, maybe he would be better than her father. No one can get as bad as that... mostly.
"Yep." He said, popping the 'P' for emphasis. He had a feeling of satisfaction, apparently, he had blew some of his friends minds.
"With who?" Yang asked, unknowingly voicing the question that was bubbling within the minds of Pyrrha and Ruby... actually, make that everyone of the group.
"With Terra, my sisters wife." He said, before his eyes widened and quickly saw the looks that he was recieving, to save face, he quickly explained, "Yes, my sister is a lesbian, but they wanted to have a child, and they didn't want some unknown person to be the father... so they chose me, which was why I was so... nervous and skittish at the end of the term."
There was a few moments of silence, everyone doing what they could to digest this information that was forcefully fed to them, but in their minds... they had to remind themselves that they walked into this by asking him a while ago.
"So, did you do the deed, or did you go to a clinic?" Yang asked, her questioin breaking many girls out of their stupor.
"Yang! Have you got no tact!? Weiss shouted out, a small blush dusting her cheeks as an image was popped into her head that she didn't want to know.
Blushing brightly, Jaune managed to stutter out his reply, "I... did the deed."
Yang smiled brightly, giving him a thumbs up. Although, on the inside she was frowining heavily. Mostly at the fact that she didn't take Jaune's virginity, as was the same train of thought by both Ruby and Pyrrha.
Although Pyrrha looked a little out of it and rather upset that she didn't get this news back home during the break.
"How far along is she, how long until we expect a chibi Jaune running around... or chibi Terra?" Nora asked, her eyes sparkling in delight at the thought of her meeting the child. She always wanted a younger sibling. It was just a shame that Quae was older than her.
"Well, I'll say that Terra is probably a little over a month in." Jaune replied to his ever lovable partner.
"I see. So that's why you wanted experience with a job, so you can understand what it takes to balance out school, work and now, a family." Quae said, before her eyes narrowed somewhat, "You are taking responsibility, right?" She asked, her voice hiding a threatening undertone.
She was one of those people that despised the father having sex, leaving his partner pregnant, only to run away after the news has been made to him. She just hoped that Jaune wasn't one of them, otherwise... it would be a very... painful lesson to get him to change his mind.
"Woah! Quae, of course. I'm taking full responsibility, I'll even visit them when there is enough time, I'll even send them three quarters of my pay. I'll even be there when she is in labour." Jaune quickly relieved the ire of the silent girls ire.
Nodding her head at that, she allowed a small smile to grace her face, "Good. Otherwise I might of had to hurt you to change your mind."
Laughing nervously at that, he looked towards Pyrrha and saw that she looked like she wanted to ask a question, "Pyrrha, everything alright?" He questioned, looking a little concerned at the normally cheerful girl being like this.
"Huh? Oh, well I was just surprised you didn't mention this to me during the break." She said, hoping that she didn't sound too hurt by the revelation.
"Sorry, I just wanted to tell everyone at once. Didn't want someone to spill the beans during gossip." He cheekily said the last part. Ah yes, how can he forget the dreaded gossip sessions the girls seemed to have every other day it seemed.
"Jaune." Ruby spoke out, looking towards her, he saw that she was looking rather nervous, "Can... we ever meet Terra or her wife?"
"Of course, you can. In fact, I personally ask that everyone to be a part of my little son's... or daughter's life. You don't have to of course, it's just a suggestion." He meekly added the last part, he was kind of hoping that they would agree. It might be easier to have a womans touch to help him, as they were more attuned to little children, plus he wasn't the best with babies.
"Well, if you want, I guess we can." Blake said, her voice breaking through the momentary silence that his questioned statement brought upon the group, smiling lightly, she continued, "You know that family day is right around the corner, you should invite your sister and Terra." Blake said, she was interested in meeting the mother of Jaune's future child, and his sister.
"Well... sure, but I'm not sure if they have enough Lien to make the trip to here and back." He added on, he was lucky that students of Beacon Academy had large discounts, all they had to do was show the student ID and take a identity test to prove that they actually were in the academy, otherwise people would be making fake ID's to get the discounts.
However, it was rather expensive to fly form Argus to Vale, and then back again.
"Don't worry, we can all chip in. Right guys?" Nora said, she was also excited to meet some family members of her fearless leader!
A small cacophony of agreements followed suit - despite Weiss' reluctance, she agreed as well, as long as she didn't pay for all of the tickets itself.
Jaune let a smile grace his face, he was glad that he had such great friends and teammates, "Thanks guys, I promise to pay you back in anyway I can."
Quae raised a delicate eyebrow at that, while Weiss made a mental note to keep track of that, Nora simply waved it off as nothing, along with Blake who merely nodded her head at that.
However, it was Yang, Ruby and Pyrrha who would use that to their advantage to the fullest. They would make sure to cash that in, they remembered what Jaune said at the beginning of last term, 'An Arc never goes back on thier word.'. Yes, they would definately make use of this, and in ways that would surprise Jaune.
END CHAPTER
Alright guys, sorry for the long delay of chapters, but like I said in the beginning, I am having a hard time with writing RWBY stories, as I feel like they are really repititive and sometimes its just plain hard to write. I will try my best to continue the updates, but nothing is promised. Sorry if this was bad, it has been a while since I last touched this story, so the flow may be off heavily, or even the characters seem to be off. I have been writing to much Naruto, Pokemon and Bakugan stuff.
I haven't touched RWBY chapters since Jaded Harbinger finished.
