2 years later
"Ron, come on," Harry yelled urgently over the sound of lightning.
Ron ran towards his best friend as they blocked another curse aimed directly at them. They hid behind the wall that was closest to the alley. They heard footsteps approach, they didn't know whether it was friend or foe.
Harry glanced to the side to see Draco rush up the alley, he visibly relaxed as he saw Draco point his wand, "Reducto," he yelled as the wall collapsed on top of the Dark Wizards before him and then there was silence.
Harry and Ron had joined straight out of school and were well on their way to becoming highly skilled Aurors.
Draco had joined The Department of Magical Law Enforcement and he had worked his way up in such a short time to head the smaller divisions. He still had the passion and skill to be an Auror and accompanied Harry and Ron on low level missions. Even they had been impressed by Draco's skill with the wand and he was a gifted Occulmens.
Draco wanted to do be able to do both, he also still had his vast Malfoy Empire to look after and manage but his achievements at the Ministry were his own and not in credit to his famous ancestry. He threw himself into work, it kept him focused and occupied.
Surprisingly the three ex enemies kept a cordial and professional relationship with each other, they didn't speak of school, they keep out of each other's way and most importantly none of them ever mentioned Hermione.
Draco would never asked about Hermione from and Ron and Harry, he knew they would be fiercely loyal, but she seemed to have completely vanished. Draco knew she was in no danger, but she had simply shut herself off from the Magical world. It seemed like such a waste for a witch of her caliber to not reach for the stars. She was passionate, brilliant and intelligent above all others.
He glanced down at the richly embossed card, it smelt of money and it brought a happy smile to his face, Blaise and Astoria.
Astoria had done everything she possibly could to get Draco to love her, but it seemed an impossible task. They had played the couple their parents and herself had forced upon Draco. They had attended the events, the luncheons and dinner parties with their picture appearing in every known Wizarding magazine. She was with a Malfoy after all and Lucius Malfoy was drunk with power.
She dressed up in expensive clothes, in provocative clothes and always tried to make herself available to him but he just wasn't interested and worse he wouldn't even touch her let alone share the same bed. Her heart had broken at his blatant and cruel refusal of her that she broke of their engagement a year after Hogwarts.
It was the first time she had seen him smile in months; he had hugged her before leading her into their immaculately maintained gardens. He sat her down on the massive swing and they had talked for hours like actual friends. Things changed from that day on and Astoria became an important friend to him. Blaise seemed ideal for her in all ways since Theo was dating Luna and seemed to be over the moon in love. He had planted the idea in both their heads and to everyone's amazement the two had clicked and fallen in love hence the engagement card that sat on his desk among his work files.
His father had of course been livid, but Draco had stared him down and left the Manor along with his things for good. He was no longer a child that would do his father's bidding without a second thought. He was now capable of turning his father into mush with just a flick of his wand, if he so wished.
He had moved into a rather plush apartment with everything he could possibly need. He still had money, he was a Malfoy after all, and he got more than a decent pay from his job.
Draco put away the card and pulled the report in front of him and began to flip through it, he needed to tie up the loose strings on the black market potions ring that seemed to popping up all over the place.
A silver Patronus appeared before him, it was his mother's cat.
Son, you are wanted at St Mungos urgently. It's your father.
Draco frowned at where the cat disappeared, he had better things to do but he collected his coat and apparated to St. Mungos.
His robes bellowed behind him as he made his way to the reception. A burly healer spoke to him, "Patients name?" But before he could reply, his mother appeared and hugged him.
She had been crying, her eyes were red and fresh tears fell down her face. Draco held her until her sobs subsided, but he felt no emotion, he felt nothing.
Draco entered the room to find his father lying on very comfortable looking bed, the best money could buy. The man before him was a mere shadow of his once imposing father, his skin stretched over his bones, the bones sticking out abnormally and his face was far too pale. He had lost nearly all his hair and he stared at his son through haunted eyes. Lucius touched the sleeve of the healer closest to him and the healer looked at Draco knowingly before leaving the room. He hated being alone with his father.
Lucius struggled to speak, "Draco, this cancer has eaten away at my body and my soul, I'm very near to death. I know you feel no love or compassion for me, but you are my son."
Draco looked at the man before him unable to speak. His face void of any emotion he said, "I will look after mother better than you ever did."
Lucius closed his eyes as a coughing fit took him over and blood spat out of his mouth. Few drops landed on Draco's sleeve. He held onto Draco's arm and moved his lips almost inaudible, "Forgive me son," as his hand fell and Lucius Malfoy was no more.
Draco stared down at his father. A man who had brought death, destruction and unhappiness to so many people. It seemed fitting that he died the way he did, suffering and unloved.
Draco walked out of the room and informed the healer outside that his father had died. His mother seemed inconsolable as she held onto her son. Draco never understood the blinding love she felt for a man who abused her and belittled her daily. He side along apparated with his mother back to the mansion where he gave strict instructions to the elves that his mother was to be monitored until his return.
He then went back to work, Harry watched as Draco returned, he stopped in front of Harrys desk, "My father is dead. I need three days to put his affairs in order, if you need me send an owl to the mansion," Draco instructed his voice completely emotionless.
Harry looked at Ron and they both stood up to offer their condolences, Draco stopped them, "He deserved to die, he took too long to die." They looked at him in understanding, Lucius Malfoy was the devil incarnate, a vile and disgusting man who used power and money to get his way. He would not be missed.
Draco went into his office and locked the door using a spell. He took out the picture he had in his desk, a picture he took everywhere with him. Hermione was smiling up at him as he held her close and kissed her nose. She was the only one to love him for who he was, and he had lost her for good. She deserved better than him.
Lucius Malfoys arrangements and funeral done, mother and son sat drinking tea in their lavish living room. He looked around in disgust, the place reeked of his late father. Darkness and misery lurked in every corner and he had made up his mind to redecorate and would mention it to his mother shortly.
Draco placed his hand on hers, "Mother," she turned to face him at the sound of his voice, "You are finally free, he can't hurt you anymore," she smiled warmly at her son. She was so proud of the man he was becoming.
Narcissa tenderly touched his face, "He hurt you far worse than he ever hurt me Draco," she looked deep into his eyes and continued, "You need to find your own happiness, you still love Miss Granger, a mother always knows," he kissed his mother's hand, "She's disappeared mother and she deserves far better than the likes of me." Narcissa shook her head "Don't give up Draco, true love always finds a way." He smiled weakly at her as they drank the rest of the tea in silence.
He was in his office as he heard Harry "Ok Hermione, I'm leaving now!" Harry was using his muggle telephone device. His heart was beating fast, he acted on impulse as he picked up his coat and followed Harry.
Diagon Alley was crowded so it made following him all the more easier, he hurried his steps to keep up the ex-Gryffindor. He watched from afar as Harry approached Ginny and planted a kiss on her forehead and in an instant there she was...
Her hair was shorter, less wild it blew gently in the wind, she was laughing as Ginny smacked Harry on the head. Her infectious laugh travelled through the air. She was wearing a simple white blouse, pencil skirt and a red scarf to match. She looked wonderful.
He couldn't take his eyes off her; his heart was beating so fast. Her attention shifted and she looked behind her with the brightest smile he had ever seen, he wanted to see the source of her happiness. Please don't be a man!
Draco moved closer so he could get a better view, a little boy with the most amazing and unique blonde hair ran towards her, his arms stretched out as he cried out, "Mama, mama," curls of blonde hair fell on his beautiful face.
He could make out Weasley as Ron followed the child laughing. Hermione picked up the child and hugged him close to her chest while smothering him in kisses. Draco watched mesmerized at the little boy in her arms, his heart sank, she's married he thought and probably to a muggle. Draco was close enough to see them clearly now, the child turned to face him, and he gasped in shock as he saw his eyes staring back at him, he continued to stare at the child unable to move. Only a Malfoy had those eyes.
Hermione's laughter stopped as her whole body tensed up. She had turned around with her son to see Draco staring straight at them. Panic shot through her as she realized he wasn't staring at her; he was staring at her son. He briefly made eye contact with her but before he could do anything, Hermione wiped out her wand and cast a concealment charm over herself and her son.
Draco looked around wildly, dammit she had disappeared. Fuck!
She hugged her son tightly and all but ran to the café where Ginny, Harry and Ron were. Once inside she lifted the charm and her friends looked at her in alarm. "Hermione, what happened?" Ginny asked her voice etched with concerned. She bent over to catch her breath still firmly holding onto her son.
"Draco, he's outside, he saw us, he saw Ryan," She told them nervously looking over her shoulder. Her friends looked at each other and sighed, "Hermione" this time it was Harry. "Don't you feel like it's time he found out about his son?" Ron joined in "Ya, any idiot with eyes can see the similarities between Malfoy and Ryan" Hermione shook her head furiously, anger taking over "No! He abandoned us and I won't let him take Ryan away from him, I don't want anything to do with him."
Draco was back in his office, his head was in turmoil, who was the little boy and why did he look just like him? Could it be? No, it was impossible, surely, she would've told him. His head snapped back up as he heard Ron and Harry return, his door was open and he looked up to see if any of them looked at him in a suspicious way.
He knew Potter could be trusted; he had come to greatly respect the man that was Harry Potter unfortunately he still couldn't share the same sentiment about Weasley he was still an enormous prat. He stepped out and asked, "Potter, can I have a word?" Harry looked at Ron giving him an uncomfortable look. Shit! Here we go but maybe it was for the best. Hermione could be so stubborn at times.
Harry walked into Malfoys office and sat down. Before Malfoy could speak Harry started, "Malfoy, I know you saw Hermione today and if that's what you want to talk about, I'm sorry but I can't" Draco closed his mouth and asked softly "I just wanted to know if she was married, I...err...saw her son."
Harry shifted uncomfortably in his seat "Oh...ahem...no..she's not married," Draco looked over at Potter. He was very skilled at Occlumency but he would never use it on Potter or anyone else to suit his own needs no matter how tempting it was. Harry had leaned away from him and looked at him curiously, "Thanks Potter," Harry nodded and hurriedly left the room.
Back at his apartment Draco drained his drink. He just couldn't let go of the feeling, he just couldn't. The child looked too much like him. He had to find her, he made up his mind to ask Potter tomorrow.
Hermione put her precious son to sleep and kissed his sweet forehead. She switched off the light and picked up the glass of wine she had left in the kitchen. She sipped it slowly thinking back to the man she saw today. The way he stared at Ryan; a shiver ran through her.
He was still strikingly handsome even more so now, his suit hung on him like a second skin. She felt the heat rise within her as she remembered how his kisses and touch had burnt into her skin.
"Hermione," Harry tried to get her attention as they sat across each other at a deserted muggle coffee shop.
"Draco is no fool, he knows something is up, Ryan looks too much like him for him to just pass it up," She sighed as he continued, "He has no idea where you are but he might start looking and I dare say if he starts he will find you, he's not the asshole he was in school," Harry said while taking a big bite out of the chocolate cake in front of him.
Hermione listened; she knew more about Draco than he knew about her. Harry's tone softened, "Why don't you speak to him or find someone else; I hate to see you wasting your life away" she snapped back to attention "Expecto Patronum" a beautiful white wolf took form as it did a circle and vanished. Harry stared in amazement, "Still, after all this time your Patronus is still the same as his?" She looked down into her coffee, "Always Harry". Harry reached over and squeezed his friend hand.
It was a rather normal day, but it looked like rain, so she put the raincoat around Ryan and buttoned him up. He whizzed around her as she packed his lunch, Hermione took the bag in one hand and his small hand in one and went out the door to her car. She adjusted the case files in the backseat and settled Ryan in his car seat. She had a long day of court proceedings and client visits.
Hermione pulled out of her driveway and drove along listening to the radio, lightly humming to herself. The light turned green and she slowly pulled in front, she barely had time to react as the pickup hit the side of her car like a battering ram. She stood dazed and bleeding as she saw people gather around her through a haze, Ryan, OMG RYAN!
She screamed as she got out of the car and pulled open the door, her son was buckled into his car seat and he wasn't responsive. It was then she noticed the growing patch of blood on his head get bigger dampening his platinum blonde hair. The paramedics appeared and carried her son out to the ambulance, she got in holding her sons' hand as they rushed him to the nearest hospital. Hermione cursed herself for leaving her fucking wand at home, what the hell was she thinking. The muggle life was getting to her!
Her parents, Harry, Ginny and Ron sat with her in the waiting room of the muggle hospital until the surgery was over. She had stopped crying. Her little boy had needed surgery because of internal injuries. She had refused any help for herself until her son was out of the theatre. Ginny strictly told her, "Ryan, needs you whole Hermione," she had taken her to an empty room and used healing spells on Hermione's injuries.
Harry held her hand waiting for the Doctor to come out. The Doctor came out and looked around as he spotted Hermione he came close, "We've stopped the bleeding but he has lost a lot of blood, he needs a transfusion immediately and his blood type is very rare, I'm afraid we don't have it in our blood bank," Hermione started crying again as fresh sobs wracked her already frail body.
Once they moved Ryan to a room, Hermione stood over him, her beautiful baby boy had tubes coming out of his nose and mouth. Why was this happening to her?
She heard Ron and Harry enter, "We should take him to St Mungos," he said to Harry. She looked over her shoulder, "I thought of it, but he can't side along apparate with me in his condition, he could die before we even get there" her voice broke as fresh tears fell down her face. Her son was beyond the help of magic.
Harry came close to her and put his arm around her shoulder "He needs blood Hermione, we all tested and none of us are a match, you need to tell Malfoy. This is bigger than the both of you, your son needs you" she leaned against his shoulder and nodded. "Will you come with me Harry?" She asked softly between sobs. "I'll be right by your side Hermione" he added reassuringly.
Harry woke Hermione up, it was half past eight and he knew Malfoy would be in, the man was extremely punctual.
She looked and felt like hell. She fixed herself best she could, changing her outfit into a causal summer dress and running wet fingers through her hair to make it sleeker.
After making sure Ryan was ok with her mother, she nodded at Harry and they apparated right outside the Ministry of Magic. Harry squeezed her hand, "You can do this Hermione" as she looked at the imposing building. Harry walked in first, Draco looked up and greeted him "Good morning Potter...have you..." he stopped mid-sentence as he spotted Hermione standing behind Harry. He looked her over and took in her face, she looked completely distraught. Harry looked sadly at Draco and left Hermione in his office, closing the door behind him and casting a silencing charm over the small office.
Draco just stared at the woman in front of him, there was so much he wanted to tell her but as he opened his mouth, she had flung herself at him.
Her arms had gone around him pulling him close to her warm body as she sobbed into his shirt. Draco stood still letting her do whatever she wished with him before he pulled her closer to his body. Running his long fingers along her hair and taking in her smell. He finally found his voice, "Hermione what's the matter?" Her voice was almost a whisper, "Our son needs you Draco."
He felt like a hole had opened and swallowed him whole. He had a son!
It all made sense; he knew deep down the child he saw in Diagon Alley was his. He slowly broke away from her, she looked defeated. "What happened to him?" "He was in a car accident, he's lost a lot of blood, he needs a transfusion" her voice broke.
Draco ran his hand through his hair in thought. He didn't hesitate, he grabbed her hand "Let's go, NOW!" She stared at him as they ran from his office, Harry jumped to his feet looking at them in alarm as they whizzed past.
He hadn't said another word, he hadn't even screamed at her for keeping his son a secret, his face was just full of concern.
They appeared right outside the hospital and Hermione didn't let go of his hand and neither did he attempt to pull his hand away. They reached the room their son was in and as she was about to rush in, he stood paralyzed at the entrance just staring at R Ryan. This wasn't how he wanted to meet his child! Hermione cupped his face and turned it towards her, she snapped him out of the daze he was in.
Draco felt her move to stand by the side of the bed still holding firmly onto his hand. He looked down at the beautiful little boy lying on the bed fighting for his life.
With trembling fingers, Draco slowly reached over and touched his sons fragile head and then moved his hand down to the sheet that covered him. Draco couldn't help it, it was too overwhelming as he broke down in tears over his sons sleeping form. It was desperate and helpless and came from deep within him as loud sobs racked his entire body and soul.
Hermione took a step back and leaned onto the wall watching Draco cradle their son. She should have told him about Ryan, she could see that now!
The doctor walked in and looked uncomfortable at the scene before him, Hermione placed her hand on Draco's shoulder and he looked up at her touch, he wiped away his tears and stood up. "This is the father; I presume Miss Granger" the doctor inquired softly. She nodded and Draco took charge, "Take whatever is necessary for my son," he gave Hermione a weak but reassuring smile as he followed the doctor out. Hermione's parents joined her in the room and hugged her to them as she cried.
Two hours later it was determined that Draco was a perfect match and they had quickly done what was required. He walked into the room pulling down his sleeve to hide the puncture wound from the transfusion, she was asleep on the chair. She looked exhausted.
Draco bent over Hermione's sleeping form and removed a strand of hair from her face, she stirred awaking to his touch. She smiled and sat up straight. He looked over his son and his eyes travelled to the tube now administrating the blood, muggle inventions never ceased to amaze him. Making sure they were alone; Draco took out his wand and muttered incantations to heal the scars on his sons' body. He kissed Ryan's temple and went to stand by the window, staring out deep in thought.
Draco continued to look away from her as he asked, "When did you find out you were pregnant?" Hermione sighed and moved to stand at his side, he deserved some answers. "Do you remember how I was throwing up when your father asked you to come home, you asked Ginny to take me to Pomfrey, I found out hours before you came back to school," Draco took a deep breath and turned to face her, "Why didn't you tell me Hermione?" She grew angry at the question; god knows she tried. "I tried Draco, you dismissed me remember because you were engaged to Astoria" she turned away from him. "You didn't want anything to do with a Mudblood and that would include our child," Hermione felt her temper rising, "You didn't give me a chance to tell you" she pointed at her son "You didn't give him a chance" he grabbed her by her wrist and held her close. "There's so much you don't know Hermione; I did what was best for us."
Hermione held onto his shirt with both hands, she pushed him back slightly "You should go home Draco, your wife will be wondering where you are" he laughed softly "I have no wife Hermione and I'm not going anywhere until our son is safe." She knew he wasn't married but she just wanted to hear it from him.
Hermione was quiet for a while looking at him just stare at Ryan, it was like he couldn't get enough. Having them both side by side she could see just how much Ryan looked like his father. She broke the silence, "I'm sorry about your father." Draco let out snarl "Don't speak of him, don't be sorry that a man like him died, he deserved it, he was a raging lunatic," his eyes filled with tears, "He took everything from me, my childhood, my beliefs, my son and ...he looked directly at her before finishing...my love."
They were interrupted by Hermione's parents. Draco smiled at them weakly not knowing what to expect but they smiled warmly at him and hugged him. They had always liked him, and it was obvious he enjoyed their warmth and kindness. He had missed so much growing up under the strict command of his father.
Draco needed a spare set of clothes and by the looks of it so did Hermione. He casually approached her, "I need to get some clothes, do you mind if I come back in an hour?" Hermione raised her head to meet his gaze. She looked over at their sleeping son and back at him, "I need some things too, shall I come with you?" She asked timidly. He smiled brightly at her, "Of course," she smiled brightly, "Let me just tell my parents that we will be back soon," he watched as she walked to her mother and her mother nodded and gave her a reassuring smile.
Hermione came up to him with a bag of clothes he looked at it questionably, she held it up "Dirty laundry". Draco took her hand as they first apparated straight into his apartment. She looked around and found it interesting that he had quite a few muggle appliances, Hermione moved around his apartment as he went into his room to get his clothes. She studied the pictures on his mantelpiece, her eyes widened as she saw herself smiling back, he had framed nearly all their pictures.
Draco came up behind her, she swallowed as she felt his breath on her neck. He reached over her and took a frame "This one is my favorite," Hermione stood on toes to see which one it was and laughed he was carrying her piggyback style while they both laughed. She side stepped him and asked, "Did you get the stuff you wanted?" He swung the bag around him, "All good".
Hermione reached over and took his hand as they apparated right outside her house. She released his hand and took out the key. She looked back at him as she opened the door and went inside. Draco followed her marveling at the interior of the house, he heard her ask from one the rooms, "Do you want something to drink? I've got butterbeer and Firewhisky if you prefer something stronger."
With all that had happened today he really could use a drink. Draco had wondered around the small house and now stood in what was clearly a child's room. He looked around in amazement at the hanging accessories and stars on the ceiling but what caught his eye was the Slytherin scarf he had given her.
Draco gravitated towards it and held it in his hands feeling the soft material between his fingers and that's how she found him. Hermione leaned against the door frame and he asked, "You put this in his room, why?" She shrugged her shoulders, "It was all I had of you, I wanted something of yours around him always,".
Draaco looked at her staring deep into her eyes, Hermione broke away "Do you want that drink?" He nodded and followed her to the kitchen. She took out two glasses and a half empty bottle of Firewhisky from under the sink, Draco watched her intently as she poured the liquid into the two glasses and handed him one. She hadn't changed, she was still the toughest woman he knew and that was including his own mother.
Hermione could feel his stare, when his gaze moved down to her lips, she let out an involuntary moan. What the hell was wrong with her? They were no longer teenagers and she wished he would stop staring at her.
Draco had heard her moan, and his lips curved upwards in a smile, after years he could still get a reaction out of her. He moved closer but she didn't move, just watched him cautiously. Her eyes curious but lustful. He hadn't been with a woman in a long time because they meant nothing, they were nothing compared to the woman standing in front of him.
He took the glass out of her trembling hands and placed it along with his on the kitchen counter. He leaned in and kissed her softly at first but when she began to respond he pulled her fiercely to him and deepened the kiss. Everything they had held back in the last two years erupted and surrounded them both. They were in her room as they urgently shed each other of their clothes, it was a fast and urgent need.
Hermione ran her fingers along his toned body as Draco unhooked her bra and cupped her breasts. He bend down to take a rosy nipple in his mouth she leaned into him further out of pure pleasure. How he had missed her! Her hands moved down to his pants and undid the button letting it fall to his ankles leaving him in his boxers. Draco lifted her and she wrapped her legs around him, he laid her down on the bed and he really wanted to take his time, but his growing ache wasn't cooperating. She was already wet with anticipation as she closed her eyes and moaned. Draco took off his boxers and she felt his erection press against her thigh.
Draco brought his head up to hers and looked deep into her eyes before capturing her mouth and moving his tongue in unison with hers. He needed her, he wanted her, he placed his throbbing erection at her entrance and pushed in. Hermione moaned out loud and grabbed onto him, like she always did. She was so tight "Fuck Hermione you're so tight" she felt incredible against his shaft as he moved in and out of her urgently. Draco entwined his fingers in hers and held them above her head as he plunged into her building up the perfect rhythm.
She started to squirm under him alarmingly as she came with an explosion that rocked her body, he felt her juices around his shaft as she brought his head down to her lips and kissed him deeply. He was reaching his high he sped up his trusts, the pure sound of flesh hitting flesh echoing in their ears, he came with one final push as he groaned loudly holding onto her, she held him back as she whispered "I've got you".
Draco reluctantly pulled out and moved to her side taking her along with him "I love you Hermione," she was quiet, "Why did you leave me if you loved me Draco?" Her voice was filled with emotion. He got off and she watched him leave in alarm. Draco retreated his wand and asked her curiously, "How good is your Occlumency? Hermione stared at him not knowing what to say, "Its ok at best, I've never had to use it," Hermione said her curiosity spiked. Draco smiled at her, "That's more than enough," She pointed the wand and softly said, "Legilimens."
Hermione watched in awe at a younger Draco writing in pain, his father standing over him, demanding him to leave Hermione that her life and his own mothers life depended on it. She watched in horror as Draco refused and his own father tortured him using an unforgivable curse. She watched as Draco watched her walking away, the love he felt, the burden of his decision. The pain and despair were endless.
Hermione opened her eyes and the tears falling freely, she put her arms around Draco and hugged him to her. Draco ran his fingers along her hair, "I'm so sorry, I wasn't there for you when you needed me the most" she silenced him with a kiss, "You have nothing to be sorry for, I have always loved you and only you".
They walked into the room hand in hand to find their son sitting up and chatting to his grandparents, Hermione rushed to his side and hugged her son. Ryan turned his attention to Draco and looked at him how a curious child would, "You have hair like mine" Draco smiled down at his beautiful boy, "Yes, I most certainly do but did you know we have the same eyes too" his son looked at him intently and let out a small "ooh."
After days of continuous shagging and many visits to their friends' houses and plenty of celebrations that Ryan was safe and on his way to a full recovery. Draco and Hermione had talked, like really talked. He had taken her and their son to the Manor to see his mother. Hermione was sure they had been at the wrong Manor because Malfoy Manor had changed so much. Gone was the darkness that plagued the house. His mother stood at the entrance awaiting their arrival and as soon as she saw them, she had hugged them both and then she had gushed over her grandson repeatedly.
They had decided a vacation was overdue and Draco had taken them to Italy because Hermione had always wanted to visit.
Draco had looked in to see his son peacefully sleeping in the suite surrounded by numerous pillows and Sponge Bob on the TV, he had closed the door and gone to join Hermione on the terrace that overlooked Florence.
He waved his wand and her surroundings changed, Hermione turned to see him on one knee holding up the most gorgeous ring she had ever seen, he had his head bent down. She reached down and lifted it, "Hermione, will you please marry me?" She smiled at him her eyes sparkling and nodded. Draco picked her up in a tight hug and placed the ring upon her finger.
Draco stood at the altar with Blaise and Theo at his side. It was time!
Everyone stood up as the bride entered holding onto her father's arm proudly. Hermione smiled at Harry, Ron and Ginny as she passed them reaching out to squeeze Harrys hand. Ginny was dabbing the corner of her eyes and Ron gave her a small squeeze. She looked up through her veil and saw her soon to be husband standing in all his glory. He was handsome and clutching his father's hand was her equally handsome son. Hermione smiled brightly as she approached them and took Draco's hand after giving her father a quick peck on the cheek. He sighed, "You are so beautiful Hermione," she shushed him as the minister started. She was finally his!
