(Gaston's P.O.V.) - 7 1/2 years later-

I heard the cricket alarm clock ticking out loud, and I muttered lowly as I woke up, feeling an familiar hand upon my chest, smiling softly as I saw Periwinkle sleeping deeply in front of me. I then leaned in to kiss her forehead, and I raised an eyebrow as she didn't wrinkle her nose which is a sign of waking up.

I wrapped a hand around her, rubbing into the base of her wings, and I grinned widely as she shivered slightly, pushing herself further to snuggle into my chest. I chuckled deeply, "Come on, l'amour, it's time to wake up.".

I heard a mumble and I leaned in to hear her, "What was that, Peri?". Peri muttered lowly, "I am not waking up until you kiss me, Gaston.".

I laughed softly, "I have morning breath, dear.". She leaned back, her eyes still closed with a slightly serious look, "Pretty please?".

I chuckled heartily as I leaned in, kissing her upon the lips, hearing a sigh of satisfaction as she returned the kiss before I pulled back, seeing her eyes as she smiled warmly, "Good morning, husband.". I grinned softly, "Good morning, wife.".

Peri yawned adorably before she gasped, suddenly remembering something, "It's Tink and Terrence's wedding today!". I chuckled softly, "And you thought you were too excited to sleep last night.".

Peri huffed at my teasing mood before she got up, her wings fluttering as she headed to the wardrobe, "We cannot be late, Gaston! Go wake the kids up!". I got up, grunting slightly as I stretched out my arms, "Peri, we got plenty of time, and besides, you know the wedding doesn't start until noon or so.".

Peri turned to look at me with a slightly stern look, "Yes, that's true, but I'd rather be early, and you know that the kids are jittery if they don't have something to do, and showering or bathing is needed for this day.".

I nodded with a hum, "Alright, Peri, I will tell them. What are you in the mood for breakfast?". Peri sighed softly, "Acorn pancakes, please. I would need all the energy today.". I smiled in understanding, and got up, scratching my chest lightly before grabbing a fresh shirt.

I then headed out of the bedroom, heading to the bunkhouse, knocking on the doors loudly, "Time to get up, you lot!". I then headed over to the stairs, heading up to check on the younger kids and waking them up. I smiled lightly as I nudged my 7 year old son, Ashe, "Hey, kiddo. Time for you to eat, hmm?".

Ashe grumbled lightly as he rubbed his eyes of sleep dust, and I chuckled lightly as I saw the 8-year old twin girls, Pandora and Rikka waiting at the door. "Dora, Rikka, you ready for breakfast?".

"Yeah, Daddy!", they echoed as one, and I laughed softly as I opened the drapes, startling Ashe into full wake mode, and eventually, we came down the stairs, touching down as we headed over to the kitchen, seeing 11-year old Nate gossiping with his older brother, 12, almost 13-year old Gustave aka Gus while I saw 13-year old Kayla pulling out pans and bowls.

It's still unbelievable that I and Peri had adopted them all, and of course, it was not easy at first, but we managed it eventually. I never imagined I would have so much love left over after Peri, but teaching them to cook or catch ball, I came to love being a dad, and I believe Peri feels the same as well.

"Alright, kids. Your mother's in the mood for acorn pancakes! Who else wants the same as well?", I called out with a chuckle. Kayla pulled a little face, "I am just gonna have some leftover chicken soup, Dad.". I shrugged lightly, "Boys?", looking over at Nate and Gus.

The boys looked at each other in silent communication, and then looked back at me, "Can we have boysenberry pancakes, please?". I blinked in surprise at that before nodding, "Yeah, okay. Girls?", looking over at the twin girls.

They grinned at me, "We want the same as Mama!", and I grinned slightly before I looked finally at Ashe, "What about you, son?". Ashe tilted his head in thought, "I want what you want, Papa!". I laughed softly, "Oh, I don't know. Do you promise to try it?".

Ashe nodded lightly, "Pinky swear, Papa!". I grinned warmly at that, "Okay, kiddo. Alright, let's get breakfast started! Your mother's taking a shower at the moment. She will be along when she smells her breakfast cooking.".

I hummed lightly as the kids burrowed toward me, helping out with bowls, grabbing flour and stuff from the pantry, soon getting amused when I see them covered in flour and mush, and after some work, I set out ready plates upon the island for the kids to grab and head to the table once they're supplied with food.

I chuckled lightly as Ashe pulled a confused look at his plate, "Papa, what is it?". I smiled softly, "It's from France. It's called a crepe, and it's a favorite of mine.".

"You really like it, Papa?", Ashe asked in surprise, and I nodded, "Oh, yes. Your grandmother was the one who introduced me to crepes, and with practice and a bit of convincing from your mother, I was then able to make my own special crepes just for myself. But today, they can be your special crepes too, if you really like them after trying, hmm?".

Ashe tilted his head in thought before cutting a piece and forking it, and I held my breath as he brought it into his mouth, chewing before I saw a smile from cheek to cheek, "It's really good!". I exhaled in relief, and smiled, "Then go ahead and take your seat. I believe your mother's on the way.".

Ashe giggled softly as he grabbed his plate, heading quickly to the table as he talked excitedly of the crepes, and I then heard Peri's voice, "Is that crepes I see Ashe going off with?". I looked over, and I gasped softly as I saw her hair down, formed into a single ringlet, and into a ponytail.

"Did Rosetta suggest that hairstyle? Because you look amazing.", I spoke lowly. Peri giggled as she blushed lightly, "She certainly did. She said that Tink's going for the same look I did in our wedding, and I don't want to overshadow my sister on her own wedding day, so this look is supposedly subtle yet nice for a day like this.".

She's in her robe, through I can see a silver of yellow. I nodded, "Makes sense. Pancakes's ready, love.". I moved her plate of pancakes forward, and she grabbed it, heading to the table as I followed her behind with my own plate, hearing compliments from the kids about her hairstyle. We soon finished breakfast, and we quickly told the kids to take their baths/showers at a time, but not too long.

I had a feeling that Peri is going to be frantic until we get to the wedding, and I am the one to calm her down when she gets too overwhelmed today. Neither way, it's quite going to be a interesting day.
