It was a rather slow day for everyone, so instead of relaxing and sitting around, they were sparring, or watching from the sidelines.

It was currently Shego vs Devil. Despite what Angel knew about the pair and how Shego had taught Demon and Devil it was rather surprising.

Devil was keeping Shego back, first by making walls between them and then by going up.

It was frustrating Shego to no end. The match ended when Jasmine came back with lunch for everyone and they took a break. They'd done the regular spars first. Kim vs Shego and Angel vs Demon.

The differences between them were amazing. Shego and Kim looked like they were dancing, even when Shego lit up which had Jasmine's brow shooting up. She might have been disoriented but she still remembered that night well.

She hadn't paused the match to ask.

The match between Demon and Angel had been violent and savage. Watching them was like watching a dog fight. Angel was a defensive fighter, fighting Jasmine she had to be.

Like Kim and Shego, the rest of the world fell away when they fought. Their match ended when Jasmine's arm was dislocated and Ivy called the match to stop them.

Before anyone could even look at Jasmine's arm Alice had clicked it right back into place and gone to get a drink.

"Has Angel ever had the upper hand?" Kim asked Shego and she hummed in response.

"Ask Demon."

"In what context?" Jasmine asked before she could stop herself and went a surprising shade of red. "Never mind."

Angel was an impressive shade of red as she face palmed. "Only you wouldn't pay attention enough to say something dumb like that."

"Yes, she's gotten the upper hand when I gave it to her."

"You just wanted me on top."

"Actually, I like it when you're under me more."

The trio watching them looked back and forth between them and Shego snorted loudly, she covered her mouth, an uncharacteristic move as she began laughing.

"You two blush at a question but then basically hurl innuendoes at each other without a hint of embarrassment." She pointed out and they were treated to the pair going red again.

They got teasing jabs and Jasmine pulled Angel into her side, a sly grin on her lips.

"Hey Kim." Kim looked up, her head tilting slightly. "Did you know Shego dances? Or she did a few times for performances before the meteor hit."

Shego's cheeks went a dark green and she had a large glob of plasma in her hand to throw at Jasmine.

"No I didn't. I want to see it now." Jasmine's grin was evil and smug as she looked at her.

"Oh I hate you." She let the plasma dissipate as she would never try to hate her.

"If we bother her enough we can get her to do a performance."

"Jasmine, that was nearly twenty years ago."

"It was eighteen. We were eight." Shego huffed as she looked at her with crossed arms.

"Hector was in it too." Ivy said and they all sighed. It was a sad sort of sound and before they could all really think on such things Jasmine had taken Angel's hand and was leading her in a soft waltz.

In ways it was amazing to watch as at near random moments they would lift off the ground, moving like they were dancing on air.

Shego shook her head as she leaned back, her eyes closing for a moment. "Fine." She muttered and reached into her pocket. She sent Hego a text, wondering if he'd even respond.

He didn't but arrived to see the girls laughing as Jasmine pretended to be a vampire and Angel a helpless maiden. He didn't jump in as he was aware of their relationship. Once upon a time he might have. Jasmine noticed him and smiled softly, she looked sad to see him. He wondered why.

"Hey, Hec." She called and he nearly jolted, it had been awhile since she'd called him that.

"Jasmine, Ivy, Sam." He greeted his sisters before turning to Angel and Kim. "Ms. Possible, Angel." They said their own hellos.

"Jasmine had the bright idea to perform." Shego spoke first and Hector paused, he blinked as it hit him.

"The Lady in the Forest?"

"Yeah, that one." Shego stood and Hego paused.

"It's been a long time. Are you sure you remember it?" He asked as he look to his siblings. Ivy was looking into space, Jasmine was smiling softly as she looked at the ground. He wondered what they were thinking.

"Jasmine is sure I will. Question is, does she remember the song?"

"Of course I do." Her head snapped up and she narrowed her eyes at Shego.

"Then I think we only need Marcus and maybe the Weges." Hector looked between his younger siblings. Angel was looking at Jasmine with a concerned and confused expression. Kim was looking amused yet excited.

Ivy stood up and tilted her head slightly. "We'll leave you to your practise."

"Ey? We will?" Angel looked up surprised as her and Kim were lifted up.

"Yes, we will. We'll see them tonight, or tomorrow night so that they are well practised." Ivy was walking away before anyone could say anything.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took four days before they were ready. Isobel and Archer were watching amused as there was now a stage in their backyard with props and everything. Hector looked pleased with the set up. They'd all heard the singing, although they weren't entirely sure who was singing, if it was Shego, Jasmine or even at one stage Ivy.
Wego was working everything, from lights, to instruments and the rotation of the background. Marcus was the main character and Hector the stage director.
He sat with the others but watched with joy, amazingly there had been no big fights amongst them and they all seemed happier having worked together so well.
The audience was also a lot larger than any had expected as Kim had brought Monique and Ron and Alice had brought Elizabeth Director. Kim was surprised to see the director of Global Justice but the woman had simply given her an offhand greeting.
There wasn't really any time for more greetings as they seemed all ready for them.
It started softly and Jasmine shifted on one side of the stage while Ivy stood on the other.
"A young man walked through the forest, with his quiver and hunting bow."
Kim looked at Shego sitting in a ring of painted toadstools, she looked like an ethereal beauty, her natural green skin only adding to the tale.
"She looked at him serenely and only shook her head."
Kim got shivers at the music and Demon's voice. On stage Mego was walking to where he found Shego, she was singing soft back ups, moving in time with the words. It was absolutely stunning.
"Don't ask me, to follow where you lead."
Mego left and came back in a coat with a yellow flower.
"His love had hair like fire, her eyes an emerald sheen. She wrapped herself in beauty, so young and so serene."
Kim's cheeks heated at the words and she could feel Shego's eyes on her.
"Girl, my heart you've captured, oh I would be your groom. She said she'd wed him never, not near, nor far, nor soon."
Mego left the stage again and came back moments later.
"A young man walked through the forest. With an axe sharp as a knife. 'I'll take the green eyed fairy and she shall be my wife. With her I'll raise my children, with her I'll live my life.' The maiden wept when she heard him, when he said he'd set her free. He took his axe and used it to bring down her ancient tree."
The siblings had a way of drawing in their audience as they sang and performed. Kim's eyes slid to Isobel, wondering if that had been her plan all along.
"He could not take from the forest, what was never meant to leave.~"
It was silent as they finished, the spotlight on a single white Gardenia Augusta. Kim swallowed thickly as someone began clapping. The siblings stood on the stage, looking elated at how well it had gone and Jasmine reached a hand to Hector to help him up.
They all took a bow and hopped down to mingle with their guests.
The first thing Shego and Demon did was step off the stage and go to their respective loves. Angel smiled as she hugged Demon. Kim smiled up at Shego happily.
"That was amazing, but then again, everything you do is amazing." Shego paused, her face heating at Kim's praise.
"Thanks Princess." She smiled down at her softly.
"As beautiful as always, my love." Angel smiled as Demon nuzzled her softly. "But I do have a question."
"Mmm?" Her voice was muffled as she refused to leave her neck.
"Why are you sad?" She felt the muscles under her hands move before she felt Demon's arm's move around her to a waltz again. "You only dance like this when something weighs on your mind."
"Would you believe it's because of Hector?" Angel looked at her, head tilting slightly as they remained pressed together in their own world. "I miss how it was. Before the comet hit and he became an overbearing git."
Angel put her hand on her face and turned her head to look at her. She went willingly and looked at her from under her lashes.
"If you had the chance to reverse time, would you stop the comet from hitting you?" She watched her eyes as they looked at her.
"No, but I would have done things differently." Her eyes looked to Hector. "You know. We all got powers based on our personality. Hector got super strength because he was willing to protect us all. Shego got plasma because of her fiery nature. Marcus got size manipulation because he feels forgotten and insignificant. Ivy got telepathy so she could understand those around her. Wego got duplication to spread joy and pranks."
"What about you?" Angel asked, gently stroking her cheek and Demon's eyes slid away.
"I got shapeshifting. I don't know why." Angel pursed her lips slightly as she looked at her.
"I think you do."
"I don't think you'd like my answer." She looked back at her, eyes watching her intently.
"Do you trust me?"
"With all I am."
"Then will you not tell me?"
She drew in a deep breath and shifted so their foreheads were pressed together. "I got shapeshifting as I did not wish to be human."
"Do you wish it now?" She snorted softly at the question and the hand that cupped her cheek had razor keen talons on the tips of her fingers. She smirked, eyes hooded and her voice lowered.
"Where would be the fun in that?"
"Hey Darkwing." Kim was sure she heard a pop as the bubble they were in burst.
"Yes Mother?" There was laughter at Jasmine's expense but she didn't seem too concerned.
"Are you going to continue breathing Angel's breath or are you going to socialise?" Jasmine looked like she was considering the offer before she shrugged.
"Given the choice-"
"We're coming."
"We are?" Angel had cut her off and was moving towards them.
"When aren't you?" Ivy's words rocked the pair back while Shego and Mego burst out laughing and Wego snickered at the crude joke. Even Betty was covering a smile.
"Damn, that was quick." Monique chuckled and Ivy grinned, happy with her quick retort.
Shego looked back to Kim, a small smile on her lips.
"Isn't it funny, my love with hair like fire, eyes an emerald sheen." Kim blushed and pushed her shoulder gently. "We sung that when we were kids, and yet, here you are."
"I doubt I'll turn into a flower, and I doubt you'd chop down my willow." She smiled as she looked at her.
Shego smiled back, her hands resting lightly on Kim's shoulders.
"Quick question though. Why is Dr. Director here?" Kim's voice lowered subtly while she looked to the one eyed woman.
"Betts is good friends with Angel, surprisingly enough." Kim looked to Angel and then chuckled softly. The angelic woman had separated herself from Demon and was heading to talk to Betty. "It helps that Demon helped beat back a WEE invasion that killed the pervious GJ director." Kim blinked and shook her head.
"Impressive. So I guess that got Jasmine off the hook for a few of her crimes."
"Yes, but not all of them. They have strict working hours, those two. If they meet on the clock they'll fight, but if Jasmine doesn't have a hit and Betty's working then Jasmine will leave. They both know which one will get in deep trouble with Angel." Shego was smirking and then noticed Betty face palming. "Oh, looks like Betts heard the news."
Kim chuckled as her cheeks heated. She shook her head. "She's probably thinking why the heroines keep going for their nemesis's."
"Because we're hot, easily able to protect them, and," Jasmine was smirking as she held up three fingers and for each point put one down. "We're easily lovable."
"Dream on, Jasmine." Angel called while Betty watched them amused.
"Ouch. Shot down by your love." Shego smirked back at her and Jasmine squinted at her.
"Bang bang, my baby shot me down." She spoke the lyrics as she mocked grabbing her chest like she'd been shot, her face never changing from a carefully crafted bitch face.
Shego didn't stop laughing as she clapped her sister's shoulder. "Careful, one day she might grow tired of you."
Jasmine snorted loudly. "Are you kidding? She's not tired of me now and she's already shot me."
"You deserved it."
"See?" She gestured to the angelic woman and Kim couldn't help but laugh.
Despite the mix of heroes and villains, the night was surprisingly nice. It was well worth the wait.
"A penny for your thoughts sister?" Jasmine started, the night had been winding down. A few people were knocked out already and Shego was delivering Kim and her friends home while Angel escorted Betty. Jasmine turned to the man beside her and sighed as she remained leaning on the balcony rail.
"Hey, Hec. You know it'll cost a bit more than a penny." She smiled to the night sky, her eyes hooded. At some point she'd taken her eye patch off.
"Still, it's a bit more than I can afford. Family discount?"
She laughed and laid her head on her arms. "You know, I might be an infamous assassin, and you an overbearing hero leader, but sometimes I miss you. The you before the comet." Her voice was soft and her eyes hooded. Hego stood listening, a bit surprised as most of the time Jasmine avoided him in every way possible.
"You're still my brother, and in ways I still love you." She turned her head to look at him. He looked like he didn't know what to say, he turned to look out to the night, leaning against the railing. "If Ivy hadn't run off, would you have both joined Team Go?" He asked instead and Jasmine hummed softly.
"Maybe, but, we would have been as demonised as Shego. She only burnt people on accident, most people can recover from that if it's not bad, which it never was. No one can recover from being brain dead. You were better off without us." Hego looked at her, it was rare that she was unguarded around him. He guessed it was his fault she was so guarded to begin with.
"Perhaps. We would have been a united front."
"We would have, but you had three nine year olds with unpredictable powers. All three could quite easily become monsters to the regular world." Hector paused as he looked at her. "You boys got the safe powers, you could go off to play hero."
"You could have too. You didn't have to be evil." He spoke softly and she shifted to look at him consideringly.
"Perhaps not, but that's just how things played out. None of us have time manipulation. We can't go back and change it, any of it." She straightened, even with her unnatural height of ten feet, she currently didn't mind shrinking down to look up to Hego. "To look forward, that is the only way we can go."
She straightened to her natural height of five nine. Hego was like a solid wall before her, in a rare show of affection she moved in and gave him a hug.
"If you weren't so overbearing I think we'd all be closer, but if anything, you're exactly like dad." Hego stared at his sibling in shocked disbelief. He slowly wrapped his arms around her.
"I think you've had too much to drink." She laughed, a carefree sound that reminded him of their childhood, when they'd all been normal people. His grip tightened around her a bit more.
"You're probably right." She hadn't stepped back as her head rested on his chest, her arms not able to wrap around him at all.
"Can you walk? I'll take you to bed." He picked her up before she could respond and she nearly laughed again, although he thought he could see tears in her eyes. "This takes me back. I remember carrying you up to bed like this when mum had Marcus and dad had Sam and Ivy."
Jasmine swallowed thickly, she remembered only a little, commonly being asleep or about to be. "Yeah." Her voice was thick with emotion as Hector quietly carried her inside and to her room. "Thanks Hec." She swallowed as she was set down at her door.
"It was a nice reminder. I think I'd forgotten it." He looked down at her, he was certain now that she had tears in her eyes.
She smiled sadly. "It was okay working with you. Directing suits you." She opened her door, the coldness of the room washing over them both.
"Goodnight Jasmine." He wasn't about to let her see that her emotions had affected him, given him something to think about.
"Goodnight Hector." She stepped into her room and quietly closed the door. She breathed out and listened to his steps fade.
"I wish we'd never been hit by that comet." Her voice was low as she spoke to the empty room. "But I believe the only thing that would be different is we'd have no powers." She wiped her eyes, looking at the tears she held.
First writer's note in a few chapters. I'm only here to say the song and to tell you to go give her some love. It's an amazing song and wrapped in Celtic mythology.
The Willow Maiden - Erutan.
She also does, Come Little Children. So yes, please check her out, it will give you more of an idea of the "play".
The second song was Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang. (Not the Will.i.am remix.)
Amusingly, for me, I've written two chapters since my last update, while the other is longer and was originally slated for this spot, I hesitate to post it. I will, just not now.
This might be ooc for even my characters, but yeah, maybe a bit of touching sibling bonding. Try not to take them for granted, yeah?
