Another upload? This soon? What can I say, I loved writing this chapter and I'm excited to write the next one haha.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy
-=Two Days Later=-
-=Steven/His Elite Gems=-
-=The Moon Base=-
Steven was now on the moon base, glaring down at the broken console that he would've used to watch over the planet, thinking back to when the fusion known as Garnet destroyed it. "Great, I'll have to have this replaced now. Nevertheless, at least we still have the ability to watch them."
"Wait, we do? How?" Spinel asked as the hybrid began walking back down the stairs they came up here on, his entourage following behind as he began to explain. "This room here will project any place on earth in real time, so we can watch anything and everything they do."
"Wow, and this is really old technology too." Curls spoke as Steven set his hand on the orb, finding the temple in Beach City. "I didn't know we could do anything like this, that's a scary amount of surveillance for anyone to have."
"It's extremely useful, it makes it so we don't have to go down to earth every time we need to check on something." Steven corrected, noticing that the beach house was empty, opting to move over to their future battlefield. There stood almost two hundred Gems, all of them seemingly conversing, though he couldn't hear what they had to say unfortunately enough, as this couldn't transmit sound. "Nephrite, go retrieve our soldiers from downstairs, they may have numbers against us, but I'll have all of them study the rebels until we leave."
"Yes, Steven." The green and black Gem spoke with a Diamond salute before leaving the room. Freckles looked around for a bit before speaking up. "Wait a second, this place has no water, what are me and Curls going to do?"
"Nothing." Steven informed her as he watched the main Crystal Gems closely. "You two aren't fighters, our Gems will take care of their forces, and even if not, I have a back up plan." He spoke with a small malevolent grin.
"Yeah, we're terraformers and in charge of all the terraforming stuff, leave the fighting up to the soldiers." Curls spoke with a shrug, not really itching to fight some meaningless rebels when they had soldiers here for exactly that purpose.
"Exactly, you two just sit back until it's time to begin terraforming, and since I unfortunately don't have any other Lazulies to do the job this time, it will be up to you two to terraform the earth." He explained as Nephrite brought the soldiers into the room, there surprisingly being enough space to fit everyone.
"No, no, it's an honor to be the ones who terraform your first planet." Freckles spoke up with a smile, genuinely glad she would be of some use in the creation of his first colony. "You can count on us, I promise."
"Very well." He shrugged as he walked back to the center of the room to address his small army. "Nevertheless, for the rest of you, you are to stay here and study this army until we go to attack, understood?"
"Yes, my Diamond." They all said at once, the small army going in groups to watch how these Gems operated while Steven lead his four Gems downstairs. Spinel was the next to speak up as she walked behind him. "So, where we goin' now?"
"I wanted to go ahead and grab what we needed from earth so we don't have to do it tomorrow when we have to fight the rebels." Steven responded as they traversed the bridge that connected the moon base to his ship, bringing the five of them inside said ship. "First stop, a multipurpose store, I'd like to acquire some entertainment for you all when I need you to remain inside my room."
"Steven, if you wanted entertainment, all ya gotta do is ask." Spinel said, summoning multiple bubbles that were typically used for trapping poofed Gems. The pink Gem gave him a grin before she began juggling. "See? Haha, and I can do all kinds of entertaining things for you, it's what I was made for after all."
"While this is amusing and all, I was thinking more within the video game category, just so you all have something to do while I rest or while I'm out." "He explained as he watched her toss the bubbles up and down, each of them eventually just popping.
"Right, other kinds of games." She said with a slight blush, feeling as if she just embarrassed herself. "So, we're grabbing the flowers and stuff while we are there too, right? Where are we putting it all?"
"There is more than enough space in this ship for everything we need, and once we get it all back to homeworld or set up a galaxy warp here, we can finally finish starting our garden." He spoke as he started the ship up, launching them off of the moon and shooting towards earth at a moderate speed not long after.
It took them maybe a minute to reach earth's orbit, the hybrid stopping while he looked for a place to land that wasn't Beach City. Eventually he decided to make his way to a heavily populated area with a store that would hold all they needed.
Of course once he landed, creating a crater under his ship that was now in the parking lot, everyone began freaking out. "Defense mode, activate." He ordered as he stood up, his Gems now standing around him while the ship turned from pink to red.
Once he brought the five of them outside, he was immediately annoyed by the screams and panic as he summoned a flat shield for them to stand on, floating all of them over the crater that had numerous dead bodies and destroyed vehicles in it.
Once they made their way to flat pavement, he dissipated the diamond-shaped shield. "Humans: annoying and frantic as ever in the case of a small 'disaster', I cannot wait to see how they'll react to my invasion tomorrow."
"I'm sure there will be pathetic attempts of them starting a war against us, if we could even call a fight against them a war." Nephrite said as she rolled her eye and crossed her arms the five of them walking into the store.
"I plan to knock out their satellites, such a sudden change when they already depend on their technology so much will render their armies and missiles all but useless." He informed them as they made their way to the back of the large store to collect what they needed.
Everyone in the store who was unaware of what actually happened outside watched the group with intrigue, two blue women, a green and black cyclops, and a bouncy pink girl were all following a strange looking teen with pink eyes who walked through the store in a pink jumpsuit, it was a strange encounter to say the least.
Once they reached their destination, Steven summoned his gauntlet and set his hand against a display case, shattering the glass before he began collecting one of every game there was, tossing them inside a bubble which he was using as a makeshift shopping cart.
Of course, the employees were quick to try and stop him, one of the larger men deciding to approach him. "Hey, you're going to have to pay for everything you just destroyed as well all of those games." He spoke threateningly as he stood tall, trying to seem intimidating to the hybrid.
As you would've guessed, Steven wasn't going to waste a breath on him, instead just giving his attention to his Gems. "We'll likely need a television as well, this earth technology only works properly with other earth technology unfortunately enough."
"Nah, I'm sure you can get a Peridot to reroute you it to a holo-screen or something." Curls shrugged, going along with the act of intentionally ignoring this human,
"Hey, I'm talking to you!" The worker spoke as he grabbed Steven by the shoulder and forcefully turned him to look his way. The monarch look the large man up and down only once before turning back to the display case. "Spinel, please do me a favor and deal with this organic so that I may browse in peace."
The human was confused at first when the smallest of the women who were around the teen approached him, and before he could even make a snarky remark about Steven sending the small Gem after him, she pulled out her scythe and chopped off the hand he touched Steven with, resulting in blood gushing from his stump, which prompted the others to quickly call the police.
The human man let out a scream of anguish as he clutched his now handless arm and began backing away. Spinel gave a look of curiosity as she inspected the crimson liquid. "Wow, that's alotta red stuff." She commented as she spun her now bloodied scythe around, somehow not absolutely drenched in it.
"Just finish the job, I'm tired of the screaming." Steven ordered as he broke open the next case, pulling out a few systems and computers to play them on, sending the batch of items to the ship outside.
"Right." Spinel smiled happily as she spun her scythe once again, the human nit even getting a chance to run before she sliced him in half vertically from the bottom up. Steven payed the blood no mind as he finished grabbing what he felt they needed. "Alright, we can leave here and find a proper place to acquire the planets you all have requested."
They all just nodded in agreement as Steven created a flat shield over the dead human and his puddle of blood and guts, using it to get everyone over the mess so they wouldn't track it into his ship. Before the team could even get to the exit, they found themselves surrounded by military, swat, and police, all of them aiming their weapons right at the hybrid and his Gems.
"Stand down, we have the building surrounded, you cannot escape!" One of the humans shouted, Steven just looking at his Gems and himself to see that there were a few red dots on their bodies.
"Don't worry about the humans, they won't do anything." Steven reassured them as he began walking, his Gems just giving each other shrugs as they followed him. Of course, now that this being who came here in an unidentified flying object, was ignoring their orders, they went to unleash a storm of bullets, only for all of their guns to explode or break.
"Shooting at the monarch of an unknown alien race, that was smart of you." Steven spoke, everyone who was still alive and unharmed were now able to see that their barrels were blocked by some glowing pink disks that were inside of each of their guns, as Steven had summoned mini shields inside their weapons. "Now, Spinel, if you would clear the room."
"Hehe, yes, my Diamond." She spoke with an innocent smile as she summoned her scythe once again, twirling it around a bit while Steven blocked all exits with his shields.
-=Connie=-
-=The Maheswaran Residence=-
-=Current Time=-
Connie was doing some school work in her living room as she let the tv stay on for some background noise in this silent and empty house. "Panic strikes the residents of Marshville today, as what went from a normal shopping trip, turned into to an alien invasion, believe it or not."
This caught her attention, the human girl now looking up to see Steven's ship sitting in a crater in front of a store where there had to be nearly a hundred military personnel and police officers sitting around the store, mostly in the parking lot.
"Reports tell us that the extraterrestrial entity is allegedly inside the shopping center where it seems that many police officers and soldiers have entered moments before we started showing the scene. You are currently watching a live broadcast from our helicopter crew that is flying over the attack site, and as you can see, this space ship seems to be a giant pair of pink legs." The reporter spoke, Connie being just baffled by the amount of damage he had already caused just by landing.
"Oh wait, it seems that there are people exiting the building right now!" She spoke suddenly, the camera zooming in on a group of five leaving the store, Connie not surprised to see Steven with his little entourage, now with the addition of that green Gem he had by his side when he left last time, the human deciding to pull out her phone and record the tv so she could show the Gems that he was on earth.
"It seems that...oh my, the one with pigtails is covered in blood, leaving us to only suspect that the team who was sent in to take care of them is unfortunately no longer with us. Nevertheless, the military personnel seems ready to fire if they don't surrender, can we even show this on television?"
Steven seemed to look around at the many, many soldiers surrounding them, Connie getting a dreadful feeling as he just rolled his eyes and aimed his open hand towards the crowd, and before anyone could even react, there was a large pink dome around all of them. "Oh my stars, are you seeing this?! There seems to be some kind of large dome now surrounding the only people who could help!"
Connie was getting anxious now as he began to close his fist slowly, the dome he summoned now shrinking with the humans inside it. A nearby swat helicopter seemed to have a passenger who shot at him, though unfortunately for them, he summoned a dome around himself and his Gems as well to block the attack, as well as any others from the people outside the other dome.
He gave an annoyed glare towards the helicopter, only for him to say something that the camera of course didn't pick up, but she understood perfectly fine as after he motioned to a fire hydrant, and one of the blue Gems motioned to it next, causing it to break open and creat a large spear that was soon sent through the helicopter with the attacker.
The news lady was being obnoxious and describing everything that they could clearly see on screen, and now the camera was pointing on the shrinking dome, just in time to see the men and women inside get crushed, a mess of blood and gore spilling everywhere once he dissipated it.
After that, the camera focused on Steven once again as he summoned a bunch of small diamond shaped shields, sending them flying through the heads of the remaining humans that weren't inside his last attack, one of them eventually flying right for the helicopter where they were watching this from, the camera only remaining on for enough time to show said helicopter spin out of control as it got closer to the ground.
Connie was horrified to see the amount of death and chaos that Steven had caused in maybe the span of five minutes at most. "Lion!" Connie called out as she jumped up from the couch, put her phone away, and started running for her front door. "Lion, we need to get to the Gems, now!"
The large pink feline was sleeping in her front yard at the moment, but he jumped up at the sound of her voice. "Lion, take me to the Gems! Something's happened and they need to know!" She pleaded, the lion just responding with a huff as he kneeled down to let her on.
-=With The Gems=-
-=The Strawberry Field=-
The Crystal Gems seemed to be busy just setting up defenses in preparation of Steven, having finished setting traps yesterday. "Okay, so we have enough traps to even the playing field, and hopefully Steven won't get caught in any of the ones that are too bad."
"Guys! You won't believe what I just saw!" Connie shouted after Lion slid out of one of his portals, allowing the girl to launch off of him and land a few feet away from the Gems. "It's Steven! He just landed in some town, went into a store, came out, and killed like a hundred people, it was all caught on camera!"
"He what?! No, you can't be serious!" Amethyst tried to argue, only for Connie to pull her phone back out and play the video she recorded from her tv, showing exactly what Steven did. The Gems just watched in horror as Steven himself slaughtered a large crowd of humans, none of them able to properly process what they were seeing.
"Not only is Steven already here, but he just massacred a bunch of humans on public television, i-if we get him back, how are we going to keep him from being found and arrested for this?!" Connie panicked as she put her phone back away. "He's a known mass murderer now! How would Beach City even allow him to come back?!"
"Connie, you need to calm down." Garnet spoke as she grabbed the human's shoulders, looking over to the other two Gems, "And so do both of you."
"How can you tell us to calm down after that?! We just watched Steven turn that crowd of humans into the world's largest meat smoothy!" Amethyst argued, unable to see how Garnet could be so calm after something like this.
"Exactly! Steven's a murder now! He just killed those humans without mercy or even an ounce of emotion!" Pearl joined in, knowing that if the government were to track him down once he was living on earth again, he would be taken away from them.
"Listen, panicking is the last thing we need to do." Garnet spoke, though under her calm and stoic surface, she was shaking at the idea of their Steven doing this. "What we need to do, is get ready to capture him, we'll just hide him or something after that."
"Hide him? You know just as well as us that if anyone in Beach City saw that, they're probably banging on our door as we speak." Pearl continued, knowing that no matter what happened, Steven could never live a normal life after this, he wouldn't even be aloud to show his face in front of another human ever again.
"Just...we can't do anything but wait and see what happens, we can't change it, so all we can do is capture him and protect him while we try to figure out what to do with him." Garnet said after taking a deep breath. "Let's just hope that he left the earth after that..."
-=With Steven=-
-=Steven/His Gems=-
They were now in a store in the middle of nowhere that was devoted to plants, Steven only bringing Freckles and Spinel along with him this time as they were the only ones who actually wanted said plants. The trio approached the employee behind the checkout, this seemingly being a family owned shop as they seemed to be the only person in the whole place at the moment.
"Hey there, how can I help yo-" She froze mid-sentence as her eyes landed on Spinel. "Oh my gosh, is she ok?!" The woman asked as she came from behind the counter, looking the pink Gem over for injuries, Spinel just responding with giggles.
"Listen, just point us to a hose, and collect these plants while I clean her up." Steven instructed, handing her the device that stored all of the plants that Freckles and Spinel had picked out. The human was now struggling to keep her cool as she realized that this wasn't Spinel's blood, and the aforementioned Gem was actually laughing right now.
She cleared her throat and tried to keep calm. "Y-Yes, there's a hose out back that you can use, I'll get the stuff you wanted while you go clean up." She agreed, just wanting them to leave so she could call the cops.
"Right, Freckles, accompany this woman while she finds what we need and help her bring it out next to the ship, understood?" Steven ordered the blue Gem as he pulled Spinel along with him, Freckles responding with a 'Yes, my Diamond' much to the human woman's confusion.
The hybrid brought Spinel outside and around the back of the building. "So my Diamond, did I make you proud?" She asked happily as he started up the hose. Ever since she took out those humans, she had been feeling great, as he was finally giving her orders and making her feel useful.
"Yes, you did good, I'm very proud of you." He spoke as he went to start running water over her, but she backed away quickly with a squeak. "What's your issue? It's just water." He questioned her with a raised brow.
"U-Um, maybe just clean off my head for now? I wouldn't want to take up too much of our time after all...a-and I mean it's really cold." She spoke nervously, the hybrid somewhat suspicious of her excuses, but deciding he didn't have the time to figure this out or even the energy to care right now.
"Very well, just tilt your head forwards then." He spoke, the pink Gem bending forwards for him. Steven began to clean her head first, but after spending a few minutes trying to clean her face, he realized she wasn't going to come clean with some hose water, deciding he would need warm water, soap, and preferably a sponge or a rag of some kind.
The hybrid gave a sigh, which worried Spinel. "Did I do something wrong?" She asked, looking him in his pink eyes with a worried look. "I-I'm sorry if I'm inconveniencing you."
"No, it's not your fault, the blood is just too hard to remove with the cold water and my hands alone." He explained as he set the running hose aside and turned it off. "At least it got the still wet stuff off of you."
"But, how are we going to get all this off of me? We can't go back to homeworld to use your tub right now after all." She questioned him, still seemingly somewhat nervous once again.
"I'll just have to take some money from this place and pay for a hotel room so we can get you a proper bath." He responded as he pulled her along back to the front, surprised to see that they had multiple bags of seeds and multiple potted plants sitting outside his ship.
"Oh hey, we found everything on the list!" Freckles called over to them with a wave, the human woman standing next to her nervously. Steven stopped by them, looking down to the organic who came up to his shoulders. "Good, now you two sit out here and start putting it away while I go inside with the human and talk about payment."
"Okay then, it'll be done by the time you come back." Spinel promised with a thumbs up, her voice wavering slightly, which Freckles of course took notice of. Once Steven was gone, she was quick to question her as they began setting everything on the pink disk that would take them inside. "What happened back there, you're trembling."
"I-I don't know what to do Frecks, he wants to wash all of this blood off of me, and I only just remembered why I can't let him do that seconds before he went to wash me off!" Spinel shouted quietly. "What do I do?! He's already suspicious of me!"
"Oh stars...I'm not sure how you can get out of this one...I guess you can try asking to get cleaned up in private?" Freckles offered her only solution, knowing that it was a fifty fifty chance that she could get away with making such a proposal.
"That's basically my only option right now, isn't it?" She spoke with a sigh, hoping that he would allow her to do such a thing after behaving so suspiciously up to this point. It didn't take long for them to finish, and by the time they were done loading up the plants and the seeds, Steven was leaving the store with a wad of cash in one hand, and a blanket in the other, the hybrid tossing Spinel the latter. "You'll need this if we're going out in public to get you cleaned up."
"Right, thank you." She spoke with a nod, but once he stepped onto the disk with them, Spinel noticed a little splatter of blood on his face. "Erm, Steven, you have a little uh..." She motioned to her right cheekbone and ran her gloved thumb over it.
It took him a second to realize what she meant, but he was able to figure it out and clean the blood up before they entered the ship. "Alright everyone, we're going to be on earth for a little while longer, I'm taking Spinel to a hotel near by and hiding the ship in the forest."
At the moment, they actually were in the middle of nowhere, mountains and trees surrounded them, there was no city in sight, and it was quiet, not even having any cars pass by since they got here...almost made Steven want to stay here...almost. Nevertheless, everyone agreed to the plan, Freckles and Spinel being reluctant of course. It took maybe ten minutes to properly hide the ship, and another five for Steven to track down the nearest hotel that a Diamond like him would be willing to be in for more than five seconds at a time.
"Alright everyone, you are to stay here with the ship and call me if something goes wrong, don't let any humans that see this escape, understood?" The hybrid ordered as he walked to the center of the room, Spinel standing uncomfortably by his side. Everyone responded with a 'Yes, my Diamond' and soon after, he was gone.
Steven and Spinel were standing on one of his shields which was flying through the air, heading right for the luxury hotel he had found. Once the duo reached the building, he dissipated said shield as not to cause panic. Thankfully, it was pretty late and not many people were really at the service desk, none of them seeming to react like they were seeing a person they watched kill a small army, and Spinel wasn't even bringing attention to them, as she was wrapped up in that blanket he picked up to cover her blood stains.
"Give us the best room you can with this." Steven ordered as he dropped a good thousand dollars on the counter. Of course the man behind the desk was surprised to see all of this just being dropped in front of him without the hybrid even knowing what he was asking for. "Um, Yes, we can give you our presidential suite for twenty four hours, along with free services for that time period; anything you need, just ask."
To the man behind the desk, it was obvious what this was, or so he thought: he didn't have any luggage, he was only here for one night, and it was very late, so this must've been a woman he picked up late at night and he didn't want to use his credit card cause he would get caught by his wife, or maybe parents, as he didn't really look any older than nineteen, either way, it wasn't his problem where the money was coming from or why this person was spending it, as it was rare that they would ever rent a room like this out.
"Yeah, good enough I guess, just hand me the key already." He spoke impatiently as he held out his hand, waiting for the keycard to the room. Once the man handed him the requested item, Steven made his way to the elevator with Spinel following closely behind. "We just need to get you cleaned and get back to the ship, nothing more; we can't stay in one place for too long if we don't wanna get caught by their military and have to deal with all of that again."
"Right, in and out, simple as that." Spinel nodded in agreement as the elevator took them to their floor. Once they reached the top floor, it stopped and a slot above the numbers began flashing, Steven putting two and two together and sticking his card inside of it. Once the light flashed green, the elevator doors opened to a house-like room; it had furniture, a living room, more than one bedroom, a few bathrooms, and a nice view of the mountains and woods just outside the many windows that made up an entire wall.
"Woooowwww...this place looks really nice." Spinel commented As she made her way over to the window, looking over the scenery. To be honest, she found this part of earth to be beautiful and she would be sad to see such a gorgeous place be killed off for Homeworld, but she was quick to shake those thoughts off as she knew them to be traitorous,
"Yes, yes, it's beautiful, now let's get you cleaned up so we can go back to the moon base." He ordered as he began pulling her along to the master bedroom which was massive in its own right, though Steven preferred his own room back on homeworld. Once the master bathroom caught his eye, he brought her into the room.
"W-Wait, can I maybe...I dunno, do this on my own? I mean, I shouldn't make you do this, you're a Diamond after all, I would much rather not waste your time and you know, we don't exactly have a lot of that." Spinel made a quick excuse, Steven becoming increasingly suspicious of what she was hiding from him.
"Very well, I'll get the bath started then, you wouldn't understand earth stuff like that after all." He offered as he walked into the bathroom. Spinel watched closely as he plugged the drain and turned the water on to a warm temperature, being careful to not make it too hot or cold. "There, you just turn the handle all the way to the right to turn off the water, and make sure you don't let the bath get too full."
"Right, I'll finish as fast as possible." She nodded nervously as she waited for him to leave. The hybrid just gave a sigh as he turned around, though before he left the room he took notice that there was a lack of towels. "Great, she isn't the best about getting the water off of her form, guess I'll just go grab some towels...and here a was thinking this was a presidential suite."
Once the door behind him closed, he grabbed the keycard and made his way into the elevator, using it to go down to the lobby. Of course the man behind the desk was quick to question why Steven would be down here instead of up there with the lady he brought with him. "Was there something you needed, mister um..."
"Paragon, and yes, I bought a thousand dollar room, I expect you to at the very least have towels in the god damned bathroom." He spoke with a glare, his pink eyes glowing dimly. "Now go retrieve me two towels this instant."
On one hand, the employee hated Steven's attitude, but on the other...well the teen just came in here and bought out their most expensive room for a one night stand, they needed his business. "Right away sir."
Steven thankfully didn't have to wait long before he was given the items he had requested. The young Diamond not even bothering to say anything as he snatched the cloths alway and made his way back inside the elevator.
This whole trip took up maybe five minutes of his time, but he wasn't too worried about it, as by the time he returned, Spinel was still in the bathroom. Steven decided that she had no reason to need privacy, especially from him of all people, so he just walked in with the two towels over his arm. "Spinel, this expensive room didn't have towels of all things, so I had to go and retrieve some for y-"
"Wait no, stop!" He could hear her shout out, but unfortunately for her, he was already inside the bathroom. The first thing he noticed was that her bloody clothes that were supposed to be part of her body were on the floor, that bringing his attention to her...and there she stood, her form adorning the parts of a female human, parts he had told Freckles and Curls to make, but never her. "Pleas, I-I can explain!"
-=End Of Chapter=-
Well, well, well, looks like Spinel has given herself a new form without permission, can't wait to hear her try and talk her way out of this one haha. Anyways, I'm literally already writing the next chapter, so that might be out tonight or tomorrow, depending if I can stay awake long enough to make it tonight.
Oh, right, Steven is a full blown murderer on earth now, I mean it's not the first time he has killed (back when he first encountered the Crystal Gems and they got away because the Gems he was using broke formation) But it is most definitely his biggest massacre.
All I gotta say is that it's so hard not to spoil stuff, like I have over 3k words of ideas for this story and I just can't wait to write them all out, but of course I'll try to keep it at a reasonable pace.
Anyways, as always-
Good morning, goodnight, or good afternoon, I'll see you all again soon
