Now finding herself standing in the middle of the rubble that was once her home, Akako looked around with a sad look. So many perfectly wonderful memories there with her parents and brother. And grandmother. But also so many sad memories of the nights she would sob all night after they were found. The hardest and worst time of her life coupled with all the best times of her life.
Which made what she had been thinking about all the way here even more difficult to make a choice on. If she should rebuild or move everyone to the Leaf. But if she did that, she wouldn't be staying with them. What she is has caused enough suffering for the people of this peaceful village.
"Akako?"
Blinking as she looked up to see Neji giving her an odd look, Akako sighed as she smiled and let her head fall to the side. "Just thinking about memories of this place. Sorry."
"I can understand that." Looking around Neji sighed. "I don't mean to rush you, but where would the scroll be at?"
Blinking as she gasped, Akako laughed as he turned his eyes back to her. "I almost forgot about that. Sorry." Turning and looking around she sighed. "Well let me think. Nothing looks the same so I will do this." Turning she jumped clear of the rubble and landed next to a rather large oak tree. "Whenever I would go shopping for Mama at the village, I would always pass by this tree on the way home."
Counting the steps she walked up to the rubble and then over it as she closed her eyes and pictured walking into her house. "The kitchen was right ahead, the living room to the left and then there was a door to the right. That lead to the room that Mama and Papa both used. Inside it, there was a trap door that would only react to our purification that lead underground and then across to the other side of the village."
"The other side of the village?" Moving along with her, Neji gave her an odd look. "Why is it all the way over there?"
Stopping at what would be just inside the living room, Akako opened her eyes and sighed to see all the ruble that was still there. "Mama said that the story passed down through the mikos was that the first miko had someone try to steal a scroll from her. So she decided to hide them away from the house, but in the house at the same time so that she could get to them if need be, but no one else could. Man this is going to take me forever to get all this cleared out."
"Not at all." Lifting her into his arms, Neji jumped to the side as he turned to look at Naruto. "Naruto. Some clones and help if you would."
"But clones? Can he really make enough to do anything…." But then her eyes went super wide when she looked up and there were hundreds of Naruto's and in just seconds had the room cleared away totally. Blinking as Neji jumped to the floor Akako looked up at him. "Really? He can make that many whenever he wants too?"
"More." But then Neji sighed when she blushed and turned her face from him. He wanted to say something to her. To tell her what he felt about her, but at the same time he wanted to wait and see what happened when they tried to take the mark off of him. If it killed him, he wasn't going to tell her he loved her and then hurt her like that. He would tell her after they removed the mark.
"That's right the scroll." Akako sighed as she moved away from Neji and went right for the place where the trap door was. She hated that he made her blush like that with just a simple smile! She knew why, though she wasn't sure if it was because of who she is, or what she is doing for him and the Hyuuga as a whole. "Here it is." Stopping just short of where she knew the door was, Akako folded her hands together and then flared her purification, making a light blue seal around the door, then it was just gone. "See."
Following her through the door along with Shikamaru, Neji blinked to see the oil lights on down the hall. "Oil lights?"
Nodding, Akako looked over her shoulder at him with a smile. "Mama said that when this was built, that was something else that was done with the purification. Once the door opens, it sparks and lights them all the way back. Once the seal is put back on the door again, they shut off."
"This is actually a nifty little idea that you have going on here. I am going to have to bring this up to Lady Tsuande." Shikamaru looked around as they walked taking mental notes of every detail that he saw as they walked.
Walking into a room at the end of the hall, Akako sighed. "Here we are. This is where all the scrolls are kept that have to do with the Aizawa miko."
Blinking as the brighter LED lights came on in the room, Shikamaru gasped to see the multitude of scrolls that were there. For such a small village he didn't think that the number of scrolls would be this much! "I had no idea that there were this many scrolls in here."
Looking around with a half-smile, Akako sighed. "Yeah. When you read labels that they all have, not only is it what each new miko has that her mother before her didn't as far as ability and purification levels, but they also detail everything that came from each ninja with chakra that married into the Aizawa Miko bloodline. Everything that they could do and what was passable."
"So like if they had a kekkeigenkai like the Wood or Ice style jutsu, where you have to be born with two different chakra to make it, that would be recorded, but only the things he could do with each chakra nature alone would be a possible pass down right?" Looking around as he walked, Shikamaru was in awe. The level of scrolls was immense. He could only imagine what information was in them.
"That's right. Starting with the husband of the first miko that founded the village. He from the Senju Clan." But hearing them both gasp, she blinked as she let her head fall to the side. "What?"
Shaking his head, Neji crossed his arms. "That is the same clan that the First Hokage of the Leaf was part of. Hashirama Senju. Lady Tsunade is his granddaughter. Hashirama had the Wood Style jutsu."
"You know if he gets the thought in his head that all these scrolls are here, he will stop at nothing." Shikamaru met Neji's eyes with hard serious once. "They need to be sealed and that protected."
Nodding, Neji looked down at the floor. "Indeed. And with even the Senju Clan being part of this, I have to wonder then if Miss Aoi's mother was not the first Hyuuga after all. If they got the scroll because there was another Hyuuga before that."
"Wait you really think that my great grandma wasn't the first Hyuuga in my bloodline?" Giving them both odd looks, Akako moved between them. "Really?"
Nodding as he turned his eyes down on her, Neji blinked. "Where are the scrolls that have to do with the Hyuuga?"
Turning and pointing to a shelf on a stand in the far corner, Akako blinked as he went to it. "That's them over there. I haven't really read any of them though. Both Mama and Papa said that other than training my Byakugan through practice like I was, that they wanted me to focus more on being a miko."
Reaching the scrolls, he looked through them and found a male name. "I was right." Turning to both Akako and Shikamaru as they got to him, Neji held the scroll up with the name Hoshimaru on it. "Hoshimaru. Look at the date."
Seeing the date on the scroll, Shikamaru's eyes went wide. "That would have predated her great grandmother by nearly a hundred years."
Looking down at the scroll with a sigh, Neji glared. "I wonder if he knew this? Shikamaru go and send Tenten down here please." When he was gone Neji turned to the questioning eyes of Akako and smiled. "Hitoshi will be after you and your grandmother until I can finally deal with him. If he finds out about all of this, then he will want all these scrolls. The fact is, if you trained more in your chakra, some of the abilities that were unique but not blood, to some of the other ninja in your bloodline you might be able to learn how to do it."
"Okay. But what does Tenten have to do with all of that?" Akako kept her eyes in his even though she knew that she could feel a flush coming on. When he looked at her the way he was right now she felt like he could see her very soul. It was unnerving since she knew that she was in love with him.
"Tenten is going to show you and help you get all the scrolls sealed inside another one. That way, you can keep them with you and safe. You won't have to worry about Hitoshi and what he may or may not want to do with them." He then lifted the same scroll he had in his pack. "Right now I think I am going to send this back to Hitoshi so he thinks he at least got part of what he wanted."
"You mean the other one right?" When he gave her an odd look, Akako let out a sigh as she smiled. "Remember you told the Feudal Lord that I already translated the first word that said Hyuuga. If you send him the one I had here he is going to know then that there are two of them." She then reached out and took the one that she had back.
"I forgot about saying that actually." Though before Neji could say anything else he sighed as he smiled as Tenten walked in. "Shikamaru told you what needs to be done?"
Laughing, Tenten laid a huge scroll on the floor and rolled it out. "We got this. Go on up and send the other one with Lee. He is already running in place talking about how he is going to beat his time." Once he was gone with a sigh, Tenten turned to Akako and winked. "Where do you want to start? You give them to me and I will put them on the scroll and then show you how to do the simple sealing jutsu. It basically sends them to an infinite alternate space, but you can call them back whenever you want."
"Is there a way to do it one at a time? I know it is going to take a while but that would be easier for me. Especially since there are more that I want to read without having to pull them all out at once." Akako looked back at the rather large stack of Hyuuga scrolls. She was going to read them all now.
"Sure thing. He I will show you." Tenten then smiled as she came over with a scroll and she showed her how to do the seal without having to write it out each time. "See that's all there is to it. And even the ones that I do for you, all it needs is a little chakra to draw them out so you would be able to do it on your own."
"That sounds great." Akako then turned and went back to the Hyuuga scrolls and got more and joined Tenten in sealing them. If she wasn't training, this is what she was going to do. Then seal the large scroll in a smaller one to make it easier to carry with her.
