"Comrades, I'm afraid I have some bad news."

Max stood before the Kids and frowned in mock-sadness.

"Sierra and Olwen...have quit Total Drama."

This instantly caused an uproar among the Kids, who all gasped in shock at the unexpected news. That would explain why they hadn't seen Sierra and Owen today but...quitting unannounced and completely disappearing like this? That didn't make sense at all.

"Wait, you can quit Total Drama?," Tyler asked.

"Whoa, wait a second," Rodney frowned, getting the others' attention, "Sierra quit Total Drama? We just did a whole FanFiction where she joined Total Drama!"

"I legit started crying when she joined Total Drama," Taylor admitted.

Rock nodded, "Yeah, we sure spent a lot of time on it!"

"I'll say," Noah frowned, "Maybe even at the expense of other long-standing, beloved Kids."

He sighed.

"Come on, Junior."

He walked offstage with Sam's nephew, Junior in tow.

"Coming," Junior sighed disappointedly before walking off.

"Everything will be fine, guys," Scarlett said reassuringly, "Honestly, I think the show will be better without them."

"Couldn't get any worse!," Gerry yelled from the back of the room, and he and Pete chuckled.

"Well," Max began, "As the old saying goes, the show must...continue. In a timely fashion."

"Wait," Izzy spoke up, "Sierra and Owen are part of our family. We can't let them go without a fight. Right, Sam?"

"I know this is hard, Izzy," Max frowned, "Sierra and Olwen were my best friends."

Izzy remembered when she ran off to find her long-lost family all those years ago, and ended up getting in trouble when she was captured by a crazy government official who thought that Izzy was an alien. But Sam and the others came to her rescue, and ultimately, Izzy decided to stay with her real family, no longer worried about being lost. And she knew that Sam wouldn't let two of his closest friends leave without a fight at least. But he was just acting like it was no big deal.

"We're better off without them," Max shrugged, confusing Izzy even more.

"Yeah that's true," Justin shrugged.

"No it ain't!," Rock frowned, glaring at the model.

"Uh, no it ain't!," Justin quickly corrected, putting away the mirror he was looking at.

"Sam?," Dakota spoke up, walking towards Max, "Are you sure you're ok?," she asked in concern.

"Yes, I'm fine, woman. I could never lose you. You complete me," Max said, struggling not to throw up as he did.

"Oh, Sammy," Dakota smiled, falling for his charade once again.

"Guys, come on!," Scarlett smiled, seemingly trying to lighten the mood, "This is a blessing in disguise. We should be celebrating!"

"Yes, remember! I can give you what you want, ah?," Max smiled.

The rest of the Kids frowned but nodded and mumbled in agreement anyway. As they all dispersed, Izzy couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with Sam. She decided to go find Noah and ask him what he thought.

As she left, she vaguely heard Rock asking, "Hey, has anyone seen Spud?"

Spud's teeth chattered rapidly as he, Owen, and Sierra trekked through the cold snowstorm they found themselves in. After getting off the freight train somewhere that definitely wasn't Ireland, the trio began making their way to Russia to find the prison where Sam was being held.

To put it bluntly, it was not easy.

They had to hike through a blizzard on a snowy mountain, trudge through a hot desert, hike through another blizzard, trudge through another desert, and the cycle repeated itself quite a few times.

As they crawled through the fifth desert, Owen decided to ask, "Does anybody else feel like we're traveling in circles?"

Sierra looked up and gasped, "There it is!"

She pointed at a large neon sign up ahead that read, GULAG - This Way.

"Oh, finally!," Owen smiled gratefully.
