Atem's Pov

I took a hold of Yugi's hand and gently tugged him in the direction of our rooms, as he hadn't moved since he agreed to this conversation.

"You know I'm still angry with you, don't you?" Yugi asked, I grinned and looked over my shoulder at him

"I know, and you'll probably be angry for a little while longer, but just remember, its not good for our child if you remain angry for too long, you'll stress, and stress isn't good for the baby either." I caught sight of him rolling his eyes as he stepped up to walk alongside me

"Just as long as you tell me the truth Atem, then we'll sort through things like we normally do." I chuckled

"You mean, shout and scream and then calmly talk about things?" he giggled, I smiled

"All our discussions don't end in screaming matches." I shook my head

"No not all, just the really important ones." He smiled

"I suppose so." I glanced down at him and saw him look out a passing window, I sighed

"Look, Yugi, what we talk about, it's going to be a long tough conversation, one I wanted to hold off on for a little while longer, but I realise you probably should hear about it now." He nodded

"I know, and I'll listen to everything that you have to say, but understand that I will have questions." I nodded

"I understand Yugi, but you will have to be patient with me, it is somewhat of a long story." He nodded as we reached our chambers, I led him inside and over to my desk, he sat down in the chair at the opposite side of the desk and I sat down behind my desk "So, the best place to start, would probably be the beginning." Yugi nodded and leant back against the back of the chair and I sighed "Right well, I can only tell you what my father told me about all that happened, as I was still a baby at the time." Yugi nodded again "So, my father and the previous Emperor of Japan, your mothers father, were quite close, very good friends, but there was no treaty in place nothing, Egypt and Japan were on good terms." Yugi nodded in understanding

"Which I suppose is a good thing." I nodded

"Exactly, but when my mother fell pregnant with me, as a good friend would, my father informed the Japanese Emperor, who, to my fathers shock, informed my father that his daughter was pregnant and set to be married in the summer."

"To the person or Prince, she slept with." I nodded

"Exactly, so the Japanese Emperor suggested and peace treaty, put in place, to suit everyone, my father agreed…it wasn't until maybe two months later, they came to visit Egypt to sign the Betrothal contract that they had agreed upon, it wasn't until two hours after that the person your mother was set to marry informed the Japanese Emperor of her infidelity, he was furious, demanded she be brought to the before my father and her father, but she was no-where to be found, as soon as she had informed her own betrothed she fled into the Egyptian lands."

"Sounds like her." Yugi commented, I chuckled slightly

"My father ordered guards, upon guards to search the kingdoms of Egypt for her but she was no-where to be found."

"So, what happened next? It wouldn't have ended like that." I shook my head

"The Japanese Emperor apologised for not being able to provide his part in the betrothal contract and asked for Japan to be removed from it, my father refused, as your mother had disappeared in our lands, it was his duty to return her to us, he told the Japanese Emperor that the betrothal contract would remain open, just in case the Lost Japanese Prince would return home, which you have."

"Yeah, but when you also think about it, we had her executed, if this story is true, and I am actually the lost Prince you claim me to be, she was royalty, Japan could actually throw a fit if they found out." I chuckled

"Haruki already knows, we sat and had a long chat about it, he is not going to hold any faults against Egypt for the Execution of their missing Princess, when she slept with someone other than her Betrothed and got Pregnant with you, she lost her status in the royal family, but you remained the Heir and Prince, in theory if we were not betrothed, and you lived in Japan you would be next in line for the Throne, but since you are betrothed to me and you live in Egypt, Haruki will pass the throne onto Heba as the next in line to the throne."

"Which I understand, but how are you even sure that my mother was actually the princess? Or that I am actually the Lost Prince?" Yugi asked, I sighed

"Would you like Isis to look into the past and check for you? Yugi, Haruki confirmed that you are the Prince, your grandfather confirmed you were the Prince, but if you really are unsure, I will have Isis come and look into your past, if it would make you feel better." He nodded

"I think it would make me feel better, the whole story that you told me, seems like it's just that, a story, not that I don't believe you, but I just want to be sure." I smiled at him

"And that's okay Yugi, you have every right to want to be sure, or want to know about your family history, I don't blame you for that, I will send for Isis and we can clear this up today, alright?" he nodded and slumped down in the chair, I smiled again and stood from my seat. I walked around my desk and lent down to kiss his forehead "I'll be right back." He nodded and his eyes slipped shut. I smiled softly and walked to the doors, I sighed and slipped outside, I spoke to one of the guards stood guarding my chambers "Fetch for Isis, have her come to my chambers." The guard nodded and hurried down the hallway

"Is everything alright my Pharaoh?" Honda asked, I turned to see him stood guard at the other side of the doors, I nodded "Has Prince Yugi returned?" I nodded and then frowned

"Were you not informed?" Honda shook his head

"No, My Pharaoh, but I am pleased that Prince Yugi has returned safely." I nodded

"He had taken a ride on Koi out to the oasis." Honda looked at me in shock

"The Oasis, My Pharaoh-" I held up a hand to stop him

"I know, he was perfectly safe, I know Koi would never let anything happen to him, and no matter how much the baby is messing around with his magic, I refuse to believe that his own guardian would allow anything to happen to him." Honda nodded

"But why send for Isis?" Honda asked

"I need use of the Millennium Necklace, to answer some of Yugi's questions." Honda nodded "I should return to Yugi, he looked like he was going to fall asleep and I don't want him doing that in a chair, it will not be good for him." Honda nodded and I gave him a nod in return "Please allow Isis in once she get here." Honda nodded

"Of course, My Pharaoh." He said and bowed his head. I nodded and made my way back into my chambers, only find that Yugi had somehow curled himself into the chair he had been sitting on and fallen asleep. I chuckled softly and made my way over to him, I lifted him into my arms and carried him over to the bed. I laid him down upon it and he instantly shuffled to get comfy, and his hand immediately moved to his pregnant belly, I smiled at the sight and knelt down next to the bed, so I was eye level with Yugi's baby bump. I rested a hand over Yugi's and placed a kiss on his stomach

"You don't know how loved you are baby, but you will soon, you are loved so much by both of us and we can't wait to meet you, I promise to protect you and your papa with everything I have, with everything I am, I love you both so much." I placed another kiss on Yugi's stomach, before getting to my feet and leaning down to place a kiss to Yugi's forehead, I then sat on the edge of the bed, just as the door opened, I looked over my shoulder and saw Isis, who immediately bowed

"My Pharaoh." She greeted, I nodded

"Isis, there is no need to bow in my private chambers." She nodded and got back to her feet

"Is everything alright with Prince Yugi?" I nodded and looked back down at his sleeping face

"He's had a long morning, he went out for a ride on Koi after he left the throne room this morning, Koi took him out to the Oasis and before you say anything, I know how dangerous it can be there, but he was perfectly safe, Koi wouldn't let anything happen to him, but when he came back he had a confrontation with Shada again, who revealed some things that we didn't know about, and then I told him about his mother."

"I see, and how did he react to the news about his mother?" Isis asked

"While he believed what I was saying, he didn't believe that he was the lost Prince or that his mother was the princess, I offered to have you look into his past to prove it to him and he agreed, but while I sent a guard to fetch you, he felt asleep in that chair over there." She nodded

"I see, during his last few months of pregnancy he will become more tired, I will keep a close check on him to make sure neither he nor your baby are in any danger." I nodded

"Thank you, Isis, I appreciate that, would you be willing to look into his past for him? I believe this is something he feels that he really needs to know." She inclined her head to the side

"Despite all the evidence he has been given to prove that he is the lost Prince. The Emperor? His Grandfather?" I nodded

"I know, but I also understand, his life has change so much in such a short period of time, to start off living in the village, to then begin my servant, only to find out he is a Prince of a different country with not only a living uncle but a little brother as well, we fell in love and found out there was a betrothal contract in place between us, then I was attacked and he found out he was pregnant, it has been a long winding journey for him, for us both, but I wouldn't change a thing." She nodded

"I don't believe he would either, My Pharaoh, and I would be more than happy to look into Prince Yugi's past to settle his uncertainties." I nodded

"Thank you Isis and I apologise for pulling you away from your work, but we will have to do it later, when Yugi is a little more up to it." She nodded

"Of course, My Pharaoh, I shall take my leave now." I nodded and she bowed, leaving the room shortly after, closing the door softly behind her.
