I should have known that it was Justin who would send that letter to me. "You need to leave. Now."
"I'm not leaving, until i talk to you." What did I see in him?
"Fine, but only outside of this building." I started to walk.
"Fine by me." Justin followed me outside of the building, where the party was. "How's life," he ask.
"Just get to the point why you're here?" There is no need for small talk.
"Well, aren't you going to ask why I found out you were impersonating someone? You know, that is a felony ... Courtney." He wasn't wrong on that, and I am not proud of that. "You don't want the Sawyer family to find out, dearly." He twisted the strands on my hair.
I pushed his hands away. "So, this is about money? What happened to your awesome modelling job." I then stepped back. "Or, was there no modelling job?"
From Justin expression, he was not amuse. "There was a modelling job, but with the economy, I got laid off. And, beside, you owe me."
"Why do you think I owe you? I almost spat at his face.
Justin stepped in closer. "From the time you lived with me, and ..." he leaned down, close to my face. "For the child support." Then, he leaned back, stepping back. "Doing the math, I figured you were pregnant before I dumped you?"
Is he going to take my daughter away?
"I care less, you can keep that brat. I just want the money."
I was ready to punch him. "I can't do that to the Sawyer family, Justin."
"I guess you leave me no choice, Courtney." He pulled out his cell phone. "If you don't do what I say, then I'll expose you. Now, tell me, would you like to see the mother died from an heart attack from this? I have the pictures, Courtney. From the time you lived in Toronto with me."
Why would he do this. It's been almost two years since I've last saw him.
"You have until two days ... I'll be staying at the motel, until then." Justin then walked away, leaving there.
"Gwen?" I turned around to see Duncan standing there. "I've been looking for you?"
"I—I just needed some fresh air." I walked towards him, embracing him into a hug. "Can we go home, now. I'm too exhausted."
"Okay." Duncan walked me to the car and drove me to the mansion.
The two days went by. I asked the driver to drive me to the motel, where Justin was currently staying at. I had to pass of, like, I had an old friend visiting. I knew the driver didn't believe me, but didn't say anything.
I reached at the door where Justin was staying. I knocked a few times, before he opened the door. "Come in." I stepped inside the room, it was so messy. "I see you didn't bring your child along."
"I'd rather not bring her into this mess," I said, then I brought out the chequebook. "Here." In slammed onto the dirty table. "It should cover more than you asked."'
He opened the cheque, and whistle at the number. "Who knew that the Sawyer family is loaded."
"You will now leave me alone."
"Yeah, but ... no."
"What the hell do you want, Justin." I already regret saying that.
"You know, there is a lot more I can do to get rich? And this cheque is just the beginning." He truly becoming a monster.
"This is more than enough money, you can easily live of for a good while."
"Yeah, but I can easily takeover Justin then opened the door. "You'll be hearing from my lawyer, so you better leave before I call the Sawyers and tell you the truth."
"You'll never get away with this."
"Actually, I will ... you see, if you call the cops on me, then I show them the cheque; let's see, you are not just looking at impersonating something, but also, you are also bribing. And, just who do you think will believe all of this?" Justin said. "Definitely not you when they take your DNA."
At this time, I had no choice, but to leave. This ... I should have just stayed on the train, even if it meant leaving Duncan for good. I asked the driver to drive me the mansion, and as soon as I got there I immediately went straight to my room and collapsed onto the bed.
I can't let Justin win, I can't let him get away with this.
I knew what I had to do, in order to save the Sawyer family.
I just hope they will forgive me for what I'm going to do.
They will gave my daughter a better life.
