Remnant's Guardian-17

~Yang: POV~

"Yang, you doing okay?" Scythe asked putting a cup of soda down in front of me as we sat in our home. It had been three days since Roman welcomed us into his gang, and since we gained the trust of that woman Cinder, with the other half of Amber's power.

"Yeah, it's just seeing Ruby look at me like that, it was…"

"Heart wrenching I know." Scythe said, sitting in front of me. "But trust me, when we're done with what we're doing, she'll look at you with pride."

"Yeah, I know, it's just kinda hard dealing with how she's looking at me right now." I said, grabbing the cup of soda and taking a sip of it. "Do you really have to go on this journey on your own, or at all?"

"I'm afraid so." Scythe sighed. "If I don't, we won't have the components to what we need for the plan."

"He's right." Amber said in the kitchen area. "Without the Lamp of Knowledge, or the Sword of Destruction, we won't be able to pull off our plans."

"How are you going to get them anyway? I thought only the Maidens could access the vaults the relics were locked away in." Blake said, lying back on the love seat to my right.

"I'll figure something out for the Sword of Destruction, as for the Lamp of Knowledge, I already know where to find the key." Scythe exclaimed.

"That's right. You said that the Spring Maiden was somewhere no one would suspect." I exclaimed. "Where is she?"

Scythe looked out the window, and raised an eyebrow at the crow sitting on the branch.

"I'm gonna keep that little tidbit to myself for right now." He smiled, and the crow looked at him like it was glaring, why was…

"Wait, is that Uncle Qrow spying on us?" I questioned looking at the crow on the tree branch.

"He's Ozpin's top recon operative for a reason." Amber said coming to the couch with a cup of tea. "On other news, it was nice of those renovators to renovate the place, free of charge."

"Well it was either that, or face a law suit from me for some of their workers trying to forcefully have their way with you." Scythe exclaimed.

"Nice touch on crushing that one guy's grape nuts by the way, I doubt he'll be having kids any time soon if at all." I chuckled.

"As fun as it is talking about Amber's exploits a couple days ago, I gotta get ready for the journey. I'll be back as soon as possible, and I might have souvenirs for you all when I get back." Scythe exclaimed, heading up stairs.

"Scythe wait." I said grabbing his arm.

I pulled him in close, and before he could react, I planted a kiss, filled with passion on his lips, taking him by surprise, while also shocking both Blake and Amber by my boldness to kiss him.

"Be safe tiger." I said, after breaking the kiss.

"Uh, right." Scythe said, standing stupefied with a silly expression that made me laugh.

I laughed at his reaction, and pushed him away to egg him on and prepare for his trip, which I succeeded in, as I sat back down on the couch, and picked up my scroll, and winking at Blake.

"If you wanna go make a move on him, then now's the time." I said causing her to blush. "I'm sure you wouldn't mind sharing him between the two of us."

My smile grew when Blake got up from her seat, leaving the book on the coffee table and went to the stairs, to run up the room Scythe had on the second floor.

"Mind explaining that?" Amber asked.

~Scythe: POV~

"Well… that was definitely something I wasn't expecting." I said as I sealed my bag. I didn't have much to pack it with.

"Hey Scythe." Blake said, knocking on my open door, and bringing my attention to her.

"Oh, hey Blake, what's up?" I asked, shouldering my bag.

"Well… ah hell I'm just gonna show you." Blake said.

Blake jumped at me, wrapping her arms around my neck, and planting a kiss on my lips, just like Yang had a minute ago. This was the second time the act of this was done, and the second time I had been taken by surprise.

"Yang and I… wouldn't mind sharing between each other." Blake said breaking the kiss. "So, if you're conflicted about choosing either one of us, then you don't have to be. So before you go… one night we'll actually remember?"

"I… guess I can leave tomorrow." I said, chuckling nervously as Blake smiled.

Blake let go of me, and ran out the door, coming back a minute later with Yang close behind her.

"Blake tells me we're going for a proper night of passion?" Yang asks.

"I've postponed my departure, just to give you both something to remember me while I'm gone." I said.

"Well then what are we waiting for?" Yang asked, as she and Blake both removed their tops. "Let's get physical."

~The Next Morning~

"Morning, Lady Killer." Amber said as she handed me a thermos filled with coffee. "Sleep well?"

"One of my best nights of sleep actually." I said, accepting the thermos.

"So anything we need to know while you're gone?" She asked.

"In case of emergencies, give me a call and keep calling if I don't pick up. Cinder's breach plan would be a good example of that." I said.

"Anything else?" Amber inquired.

"Yeah. If either of those two start showing symptoms of a pregnancy, use your magic to scan them over, and let me know if they're pregnant. If not, then don't let me know." I exclaimed.

"What would you do if they did end up pregnant?" Amber asked.

"I'd do the right thing, and help them raise the children." I stated.

"I thought you might say that." Amber smiled. "Now get going. We're needing the Sword of Destruction and the Lamp of Knowledge and they're not gonna be delivered to us."

I smiled and left to the shed recently built into the side of the building, and opened it, finding my bike freshly cleaned, and ready to go.

"Yang polished it up yesterday to get her mind off things that were bothering her." The familiar raspy voice of Qrow said from behind me.

"I'm guess from the bottle of whisky I smell on you, you're not here to fight." I chuckled.

"No, I'm not. I'm here for answers and I'd rather get them peacefully, but I will fight you if I have to." Qrow said.

"All right, ask your questions quick, I have places to be." I exclaimed.

"First off, how'd you awaken Amber from her coma?" Qrow asked.

"When I turn off my emotions, I have limited control over certain species of Grimm." I stated strapping my bag to my bike. "You have until I've finished setting up my bike to ask me your remaining questions."

"What are you intentions with Amber?"

"Keep her safe, something I'm sure you know nothing about." I said, earning an annoyed glare from him.

"Why did you join Roman and drag my niece into it?" Qrow questioned.

"He's family, he is Vernal's older brother after all." I exclaimed. "As for Yang, she joined me of her own accord. So if you try to force her to leave, she will kick your ass."

"Last question." He said as I mounted my bike. "What are you planning?"

"That's none of your business now is it?" I chuckled, revving up my bike. "One more thing before I go. If you try to take Amber away from here by force, neither Blake, nor Yang, will hesitate to cut you down, and clip your wings, and Amber will happily join in."

After that I drove off past him, as he staggered to get out of the way in time to avoid getting run over.

~2Weeks in~

"So everything is good over there Amber?" I asked as I continued to drive along the path to the Branwen Tribe's campsite.

"Yes everything is fine. The breach was taken care of, though your uncle was captured by Team JNPR with Ruby and Weiss assisting them." Amber exclaimed over the Scroll.

"Weiss got her legs back huh? Good for her." I said, as I neared the camps entrance. "What about Yang and Blake?"

"They're fine, made it back here safe and sound. Cinder still has no clue I'm out of my coma, or that I'm working with you on this." Amber explained.

"Anything maternal to report?" I inquired.

"Neither of them are pregnant Scythe."

"Good, cause that would have made for an awkward talk with mom." I chuckled. "I gotta go, I'll chat with you soon."

I hung up the call as soon as I rolled up to the front gates, and dismounted from my bike, as the guards stepped up to me.

"Hold it right there." One of them said. "That's a nice bike you got there, leave it for us, and maybe we'll spare your life."

I wasn't surprised they didn't recognize me, as I still had my helmet on.

"Please, you two could beat the shit out of me if I were tied to the side of a barn." I cackled, moving my head to the side, and grabbing the length of the spear, just below the head as it was aimed to piece my face. "Seems we need to clear a few things." I said kicking the guard in the stomach, launching him into his companion, as they both flew into the wall, before I removed my helmet. "Neither of you, have been able to beat me in a fight since I was six."

I kept my bike locked where it stood, with my helmet hanging off the handlebars, before I went up to the gates, and effortlessly, pushed them open, where it would take up to three people each door to pull open from the inside.

The sound of the doors opening, caught the attention of many of the people in the camp, and they were surprised to see me. My looks might have changed since I left but they could still recognize me. No one else in the camp, had hair that had the same color schemes of a Grimm.

"Well, look who decided to rejoin the tribe." Venal smiled, meeting me in front of Raven's tent.

"Hi mom, sorry but I'm not here to ask Raven to let me rejoin." I said.

"Oh, what are you here for then?" Vernal asked.

"I'm assuming you're working with Salem now?" Raven asked coming out of the tent.

The question caught Vernal off guard, but I answered with a straight face.

"Yes and no. In all honesty, the answer to that is complicated. But I can't tell you as there is a risk of spies overhearing." I stated.

"Is that right?" Raven questioned. "So what are you wanting?"

"That is a simple answer." I smirked. "I need the power of the Spring Maiden to open the vault under Haven Academy."

"Why should I help a weakling who abandoned the tribe, with anything?" Raven questioned.

"Help me, and I don't tell Salem or Ironwood, where they can find the Spring Maiden. You know what will happen if I give them the actual identity of the current Spring Maiden, and where they can find her, right?" I asked, earning a glare from her. "If I tell either one of them, Ironwood's men will be on the camp, faster than you can pack up, and Salem's forces will be here within seconds after I tell her."

Raven tsked, and Vernal looked at me, not knowing if she should be impressed or concerned about me.

"Very well. We'll travel to Haven Academy, I have an anchor there that I can use to open a portal." Raven stated.

I whistled loudly, and the moment I did, my bike came to my side, parting the crowd without hurting anyone as they stepped away to avoid being run over.

Raven took her mask, which was under her arm, and put it on, before slicing the air and using her Semblance to open a portal.

I hoped on my bike, and before driving it forward, I looked to Vernal and said one thing.

"Uncle Roman, and Cousin Neo, say hi mom." I chuckled.

That seemed to alleviate her worries as to my current attitude and personality change. She knew her older brother had been a bit of a bold man, and she just assumed I was mimicking him from joining his gang.

"Be safe around your uncle." She said, kissing my cheek.

"You know I can't make that promise." I snickered.

"I know." She sighed with a small laugh.

After saying goodbye again, I drove through the portal, with Raven coming up behind me in her bird form, as we found ourselves on the grounds to Haven Academy, in the near empty courtyard, and I was suddenly looking at a man with a lion's tail, a large head of hair, and a scared looking face.

"So you're the one Raven has a connection to." I chuckled. "Aren't you Leonardo Lionheart, Headmaster of Haven Academy?"

"I am, who are you?" Leonardo questioned.

I snickered, and lowered my sunglasses enough to give him a perfect view of my eyes. I enjoyed the blanching look on his face when he saw them, as I put my sunglasses back up, and tapped his forehead with my index and middle fingers.

"I'm the Grimm Reaper." I chuckled as Raven turned back into her human form, standing beside me. "Now take me and Raven to the Maiden's vault, for the Relic of Knowledge."
