In the Arendelle village square, the people were gathered shouting and clamouring. Queen Anna was standing on a gallows platform, accompanied by General Mattias and Elsa.

"Bring out the convict!" Anna demanded, causing two royal guards to bring a man who had his arms bound together and a sack over his head. One of the guards then took the sack off and the man was revealed to be Hans. He was blinded for a second by the sudden bright light of the sun, and he heard people shouting and yelling things at him.

"Traitor!"

"Psychopath!"

"Monster!"

Hans was very hurt by the words. Although, he honestly knew that they were not inaccurate.

"Hans Westergard, you have been sentenced to death for your crimes against the Kingdom of Arendelle three years ago. Before your execution is carried out, do you have any final words?" Anna asked.

"P-please. Don't do this!" Hans begged.

"Aww, look at that! The unredeemable monster begs for mercy!" Anna taunted. "Put the noose on his neck! I've heard enough of his lies!"

The guards did so and Hans continued pleading, but it fell on deaf ears as one of the guards put his hand on the lever for the trap door that Hans stood on.

"Kill him!" Anna ordered.

The guard pulled the lever and-

Hans shot awoke with a gasp and was breathing frantically. He started to calm down and slowed his breathing. When his breathing finally normalized, Hans realized where he was: Inside the Arendelle castle. He brought his hand to his face. Or at least, he tried to. He quickly noticed his hands were bound to the side of the bed he was laying in.

"What the hell? Where did Anna get the nerve?"

"He's in here."

Hans turned to see a male doctor walk into the room, accompanied by Elsa, a man with blonde hair wearing a leather coat, a woman with brown hair that was starting to grey with age, done up in a hairstyle that looked very similar to Elsa's hair before she fled during her coronation. She was wearing Clothes that looked like a mix between civilian and royalty. She also had a scarf over her shoulders. The last person to enter was a man with the same hair colour as Anna, wearing clothes that where also mix between civilian and royalty.

"Are these really necessary?"

"How dare you come back here after what you did." Elsa snapped.

"What?! I thought you- I mean I thought Queen Anna personally requested me to come here along with the support she requested!"

"Anna would never ask that." Kristoff snapped.

"And you are...?"

"Kristoff Bjorgman, King-consort of Arendelle."

Hans' eyes widened. "Your Anna's husband?!"

"What? Not what you expected?"

"Not a commoner, that's for sure."

"Well, after the last Prince who tried marry Anna betrayed her, she didn't want anything to do with Princes. And, after three years of giving the love you could never give her, the love she deserves, I asked her to marry me, and became the thing you could only dream to be: the King of Arendelle."

Hans growled at Kristoff, making the latter smirk.

"Alright, Kristoff, that's enough." Iduna said sternly. "Listen here, Hans. I may not know what you've been through in your life, but whatever it was does not excuse your disgraceful actions three years ago."

"I'm sorry, do I... know you?"

Agnarr stepped forward. "I am Prime Minister Agnarr of Arendelle. This is my wife Iduna. We're the former monarchs of Arendelle and the parents of Elsa and Queen Anna."

Hans was filled with pure shock and confusion. "No. No, no, no. Anna said you two died in a shipwreck in the Southern Seas!"

"That's what everyone in Arendelle presumed, until three months ago, when our daughters came to the Enchanted Forest and reunited with us."

"The Enchanted Forest?! What the hell happened three months ago?!" Hans was losing patience fast as he kept struggled against the bonds. "Will someone please cut these off?!"

Elsa walked up to Hans and thrust her palm onto his chest, slamming him back down on the bed. Hans' eyes widened in shock as Elsa held him down with her palm. In her other hand, Elsa used her magic to create a knife made of ice, which she then used to cut one of the restraints off. Elsa removed her palm and backed away from Hans. She walked over to the other side of the bed.

"You've grown stronger, as have your powers." Hans said, adrenaline rushing through him.

"Indeed I have. I'm what's called "The Fifth Spirit". The magical half of the bridge that unites Magic and Humanity together."

Hans was speechless. "Okay, that's definitely not what I thought you were going to say."

"Well, it's true." Elsa

Hans massaged his wrists. "Are my crew okay?"

"Yes, they are currently settling into our barracks. Are you and your crew the only support your father sent?" Iduna asked, much more calm and gentle now.

"No, There will be more soon. Or at least, I've been told."

"How many more soldiers can we expect?" Asked Agnarr.

"Ten thousand, at best."

"That's very generous of King Sorin."

"It is. I was surprised he accepted the reque-" Hans stopped and his eyes widened. "That bastard!"

"What?" Elsa asked

"He must known that Anna was the Queen now and he didn't tell me!"

"Ooh, that must've hurt." Kristoff taunted, earning him a glare from Elsa and Iduna. "What?"

Elsa sighed. "I should also let you know that we moved the member of your crew that your nurse said had been paralyzed."

"Moved Ferdinand? Moved Ferdinand where?"

"The castle infirmary." Said the doctor, who had been keeping to himself up till now.

"Then where are we now?"

"One of the spare rooms." Iduna answered.

"Mr. Westergard, if I may-" The doctor began.

"Admiral Westergard." Hans corrected firmly.

"...If I may, I noticed when I was examining your paralyzed crew member, Ferdinand, was it?"

Hans nodded.

"I noticed that the wound that caused his paralysis was completely healed."

"Okay, so?"

"Your nurse said he was injured less than a week ago. Making it impossible for him to be completely healed."

"Unless she healed him."

"With what?"

"With magic."

Everyone other than Hans gasped.

"Wait, you guys have never heard of heal magic?"

"Is a rare birthright?" Iduna asked

"Birthright? Serena trained to learn that magic. And for the record, doctor, She's a healer, not a nurse."

"My apologies."

"Wait, so you can learn magic even if your not born with it?" Elsa asked.

"Yes. Serena, Hubert, Dorothea, and Linhardt are the ones in my crew who have learned to use magic."

Elsa was speechless now.

"May I... be excused? I would like to check in on my crew. I am responsible for them, after all."

"Y-yes, Admiral Westergard. You may."

"Thank you." Hans got out of the bed and exited the room. He was about to head down the stairs to leave the castle when he was grabbed and his back was forced up against the wall. He was surprised to see Agnarr staring at him with an authoritative face. He was starting to have trouble breathing and then noticed Agnarr was pressing his elbow against Hans' throat.

"Listen well, Westergard, If you even so much as think about betraying either of my daughters ever again, You'll find out what it truly means to be afraid. Do I. Make myself. Clear?!"

Hans nodded, more to make Agnarr spare his lungs anymore deprivation of oxygen. Agnarr released his hold on Hans, who dropped to his knees, gasping for air.

"You can see yourself out." Agnarr snapped before walking away.

Hans watched with gritted teeth as Agnarr walked away, getting awful flashbacks of his horrid childhood.
