I walked. I walked for hours. My mouth felt so dry and I was pretty hungry. In my haste to get away, I didn't notice that my bag had slipped off. So I was left with no water, food or supplies at the moment. I was pretty sure that monstrous truck shredded all the content in that bag. I was just glad I wasn't carrying the medallion within the bag and that metal box. Icy had that. So I really hoped she still had it when we meet up again.

The path I walked had these massive tire tracks so I knew I was heading in the right direction. The pathway was just a simple stretch of road, just like the one we walked by to reach the location we had to reach. Looking down, I let out a sigh.

"So close… I have a feeling that truck just knew where we entered from… Now we're all apart and who knows if the others were able to get away..." I told myself.

Holding the medallion which was around my neck, I gently gripped it and closed my eyes. I started thinking about some stuff. How we were so close. How I could've gotten back to Dagger. How I could've just lived a normal life after this.

"I've already been through enough… And here I am… Risking my life against some sort of monster truck with deadly additions… That thing had some sort of saw blade or grinder attached to it since it tore those trees down with ease… Man… I wonder what Dagger's doing… I hope he's doing okay..." I said, letting out a deep sigh and reopening my eyes.

My feet crumbled the dirt beneath me. It was the only sound I heard as I walked alone. Being alone like this made me feel sad. I don't know why. It was most likely due to me hating being alone ever since my parents died. Just being alone always struck sadness into me but I can't feel emotional right now. I had a mission. It was to find Ivy along with Icy and finally make it back home. Back home to Dagger who is most likely freaking out right now. We've been stuck here for a few days. Feels like weeks. Probably has, I honestly am unsure how long we've been in here.

"Don't worry Dagger… I'll be home soon…" I told myself.

Lifting my head, I realized I was near the swamp.

"I… Know this place. I'm near the swamp… I hope the two are safe..." I said.

My steps quickened as I started to walk faster. I walked through some brush and branches before walking into the campsite we had previously before stealing the medallion. I slowly looked around to check if I saw someone but I didn't. Looking down, I slowly walked over and sat.

Holding my head, I just sat there and stayed quiet.

"Gold…?" A voice suddenly came.

The voice caught me off guard as I slowly looked up to see Ivy. I looked somewhat relieved to see him as I quickly got up. I walked over and smiled softly, gently placing my paw on his shoulder.

"I- Icy's not with you?" He asked.

I shook my head as Ivy looked concerned. I looked down slightly.

"W- we need to find her. We… Ran together but got split up after that truck caught up… Icy pushed me out of the way right before it hit us… I did see Icy avoid the truck as well, but the truck stopped… Then someone got out on my side with the biggest rifle I have ever seen. I ended up running… Hearing gunshots fly passed me just inches from my head..." Ivy said.

"Damn… I know we'll find her. Do you know if she was caught?" I asked.

"No. The Pokemon chased me for quite a while, so it would've gave Icy plenty of time to run off." He said.

"That's good… Lets try and look for her now since we're together then." I replied.

Ivy agreed and stared walking with me as we started to walk back the way that I have came.

"This road leads right towards our old camp. So maybe Icy is wandering it too. Lets go." I said.

Ivy nodded and followed close behind. We walked down the road as I had no idea where to start looking. I wasn't sure if Icy was on this road or not, but I wanted to look.

We continued walking down the road for a bit as Ivy sighed.

"I'm really worried for her…" He said.

"I am too. Lets just keep walking down this road, alright? I am sure we'll find her." I said.

Ivy slowly nodded and looked down, still following close behind as I lead the way.

We walked for a bit down the road and I was losing myself in thoughts while I walked. However, I was snapped from my daze as Ivy grabbed my shoulder. I was confused and slowly looked back at him. He didn't speak. He just pointed. Wondering what he found, I looked to where he pointed. After looking, it appeared to be a small bandanna.

"Um…?" I looked at him.

"It's… Just a bandanna." I said.

"No, this bandanna is Icy…" He told me.

"Um… How do you know? I never saw Icy wear a bandanna before." I replied.

"She hasn't been wearing it often, but I know this is hers. I bought it for her… I… Think she's in trouble." He said.

"Huh. Well, what are we waiting for then? Lets go." I said.

Ivy nodded and quickly went over to the bandanna. He picked it up and looked around for a moment. Ivy stayed quiet but soon pointed in a direction before running. Looking at him darting into a random direction, I started to follow quickly. I tried speaking to him but he didn't say a word as he continued running down a path. Letting out a sigh, I just followed as he continued down this path. We just ran and ran for a while, which I really didn't want to do after that life or death run not long ago. My legs were still sore and somewhat weak from it so I started falling behind due to it. Closing my eyes slightly, I let out pants. With me running, my vision was very narrow so I didn't notice that Ivy stopped. I ended up running into him as I fell on my ass letting out a groan.

"D- damn it…" I panted.

He looked at me and quickly pulled me to my feet.

"You good? Sorry for taking off like that… I'm just really worried about Icy." He said.

"It's all good… So did you find something…?" I asked.

"Yeah. Look down there." He said.

Slowly shaking my head, I tried focusing on what Ivy told me to see. When my vision managed to clear enough, I saw the same truck in the distance. The engine was off and I didn't see anything. Ivy laid down as I followed his action. We then started to scope out the truck. The truck was just sitting there, engine completely off, no one around. It wasn't the truck that I was focusing on however. The thing I was focusing on was a large abandoned building which appeared to be a refinery.

"Um… Some kind of smithing area?" Ivy asked.

"Yeah. Looks like a refinery. Maybe oil or a place to create ingots from ores." I replied.

"Any chance we'll find gold or iron? Maybe even something more." He said.

"Who knows… So what's the plan?" I asked.

"Err… I am unsure. This place is massive. I am sure we can walk around without getting detected. Just gotta stay out of sight." He said.

"Sounds… Sorta good. How about we do it now?" I asked.

Ivy nodded and got up as I followed. We started to walk down to the truck as I looked around it. The truck appeared empty but I noticed something in the back. A door. Reaching out, I gripped the handle to the door and opened it slowly. The door unlatched and opened. When I opened it, I noticed it was a large cage.

"A cage…? Is this a… Prison transport?" I asked.

Looking at Ivy, I told him to come and he walked over. When he saw it, he slowly stepped back.

"A prison cage… Do you think… Icy… Was captured and brought here?" He asked.

"There is a chance. Lets just hurry and find out." I said.

"We don't know where to look in such a large building…" He said.

"I am sure it'll be in the basement or something. Prisons appear to always be underground." I said.

"I guess… Lets just try and look fast." He said.

Nodding, I closed the backdoor to the truck to prevent getting noticed later on. After that, I started looking over the building.

"No windows it seems…" I said.

"Yeah. All boarded up." Ivy said.

Looking around a bit, I started to walk towards the front doors. Getting to the front doors, I pulled on them as they wouldn't open. Letting out a sigh, I just walked up to Ivy and told him about the locked doors. He then suggested that we find another entrance. With nothing better to do, I agreed and started looking around for another entrance. Ivy looked on the other side from me. I just scanned the walls to try and spot anything. It was just solid brick. The windows that were there were boarded with thick and strong planks or metal.

"Sheet metal… Or some sort of ultra strong wood… Ugh." I sighed.

Walking up to one of the windows, I tried looking into the cracks but it was very dark. The inside was pitch black. After seeing this, I started to try and pray away the boards but it was useless with my paws.

Stepping back, I suddenly thought about the truck.

"Huh… Maybe that truck has some sort of tool." I said.

With that in mind, I walked to the truck and saw Ivy.

"No luck?" I asked.

"Nah. Kinda sucks…" He said.

"Damn. Well, I'm gonna search if this truck as a crowbar or some sort of tool." I replied.

Ivy nodded and told me he'll watch out.

With that, I opened the driver's door which was for some reason not locked. Thanking it wasn't, I just crawled into it and began looking around. There wasn't much as I checked the glove department along with some other places.

It took a bit but when I opened the sun visor, something fell from it. It made me jump slightly as I quickly looked to what dropped. It was a tiny butterfly knife. I slowly reached and took it before looking over it.

"Huh… A tiny knife. Um… Pretty useless, but I think I could use it." I told myself and pocketed it.

Looking around, I closed everything I have opened and crawled out, closing the door gently to prevent any noise. With that done, I walked to Ivy and showed him it.

"Looks like a butterfly knife. Nice. Some sort of defense." Ivy told me.

"Um, yeah. Easy to hide." I said.

"Well… Since you collected something that could be useful… Um, follow me." He said.

Tilting my head, I followed him as he turned the corner and showed me a window.

"This window appears to be decaying. Still pointless forcing it with your paws, but maybe using that knife could break through it." He said.

"Um… You think?" I asked.

"Yeah. These boards appeared to be damp and all. That's why I think that knife will be able to destroy it." He said.

"Err… I guess I can try…" I replied.

Ivy nodded and waited as I pulled the knife out. Unfolding it, I looked around the board and noticed some nails.

"Okay. If this wood is damp enough, I think I could simply just remove them." I said.

After saying that, I placed the knife's blade between the wood and nail. The wood was very damp and appeared to be weak due to it. So once I had it in between the nail and wood, I started to pull down.

Just as I thought, the nail easily came out, seeing the wood splinter. Once the nail was out, I did it for the other three nails. Once they were all out, I pushed on the wood as it fell. Looking at Ivy, I started doing the same thing to the other two planks. Upon getting rid of the other two planks, I smiled softly and told Ivy to come on. Ivy nodded as we managed to climb through. Once inside the building, we spoke quietly.

"Okay… We're in. Now what?" Ivy asked.

"I'm not sure… Lets just move slow and try and find something…" I replied.

Ivy nodded as I told him to stay close. With that, we started to walk slowly through the building...
