So here we go with yet another chapter... and Stryker gonna have a new friend. You may not have expected this one though my dudes. Yet, I think you just might like the idea.If not... well you can't undo the past.
Seriously though, I hope you like it, and next chapter... we should be getting back into RWBY timeline. When exactly, well it will probably be about at the end of Volume 2, but we'll see.
Enjoy the chapter.
Ch.19 A Stryker and a Bruiser
Stryker groaned as he stretched his limbs and tried to come back to life. He felt like he just fought and entire army of Grimm and got ran over by a few Boarbatusks. He opened his eyes and noticed that he was no longer in the building he had his fight in... instead he was in the forest right outside of it.
And instead of the sight of his 'sister' trying to kill him... he had a slightly stranger sight instead.
It was a dark gray creature which had the skull similar to the one that impaled him all those years ago, but the horns were a lot bigger than the skull's were. On it's head were a bunch of smaller horns all over a circular thrill. It's body was huge aswell, about the size of one of those elephants that Ruby showed him before. On it's back were several large to small plates that were a reddish orange with brown stripes. On it's tail were four large, deadly spikes that were kinda like a mace.
Stryker knew one thing for sure when he saw the creature. He did not want to get on this monster's bad side.
The creature seemed to be currently eating some shrubs as it paid him no mind. As Stryker watched the new creature, he heard the all to familiar growling and he turned and saw several Beowolves staring right at him. He tried to regain his footing, but he was still a bit out of it from the fight with the Indominus. That sign of weakness would have had the Grimm charging at him, if something else didn't get to them first.
A loud bellow was heard as the giant creature came charging in and gored into several Grimm before swinging it's tail around and implanting his spikes into the skull of one of them. He let the body sink to the ground and glared at the rest of Grimm. "Leave... or I will finish off the lot of you."
They obviously didn't listen as the remaining Grimm started to surround the large beast, who shook his large head and readied his tail. Stryker seeing that this creature might need help, though he highly doubted it, managed to regain his footing rather quickly as he snarled savagely at the Grimm. He then roared out, gaining both the Grimm's and the beast's attention.
Then the action began as Stryker was then charged by the first Beowolf, only for it to immediately meet it's end by a swift bite to the neck, which crushed it with ease. The second one that tried, was seized in Stryker's claws before being slammed into the ground and getting it's neck twisted.
Several more were about to charge him, but the large beast seized the opportunity and swung his body around, knocking several with his tail while goring others.
As more Grimm came pouring in, the two beasts were now fighting side by side. Stryker, for some reason or another, decided to start a conversation. "So what are you exactly?"
"Stegoceratops," the large beast answered as his horns pierced through two seperate Beowolves, "and you?"
"Indoraptor," Stryker answered before he leaped over and Alpha Beowolf and proceeded to rip his head off with his jaws. "I go by Stryker, though."
"Bruiser," the Stegoceratops said as he swung his tail, impaling the spikes into the neck of one who tried to attack from behind. "I'm guessing you were with the newcomers that entered this land."
Stryker paused as he had to think about it. "Which ones?"
"The small group with the juvenile two legged non scaleys... the Grimm only seemed to have been attacking them, and if you were with the ones in white, I would believe that the big white beast wouldn't have been trying to kill you."
"Yeah, I'm with the kids," Stryker answered. "The short one in red and the blonde one are my closest friends. The big white beast is my 'sister'."
Bruiser looked at his fellow hybrid in confusion as he squished the last Beowolf under his foot. "Friends? Never had one of those."
Stryker was taken a but by surprise, but he had to remember that he had been with people for about five years, and this guy probably been all alone. "Yeah, they're the best, and I'm sure the girls would love you. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm pretty sure you'd get along pretty well with Yang," Stryker stated, unsure why he was telling a stranger about those closest to him. Though, he did have a gut feeling telling him he could trust the large beast.
Bruiser looked intrigued before asking. "Who is this Yang you speak of?"
The Indoraptor smiled fondly. "She's can be a brute, solves most of her problems with her fists, but is entertaining and can be funny on occasion. She does have a temper, especially when her hair gets involved," Stryker explained, "she loves to fight."
"Seems like someone that I would like to meet," Bruiser admitted after he had thought about it for a moment. "Well you can come along if you want to, but I'm not sure they are where I left them," Stryker commented.
Bruiser tilted his giant head. "How come?"
Stryker looked up. "It's almost daylight, like an hour or two away if I can guess, and knowing Ruby, she probably had a freak out by now since I've been gone all night."
"Well, you did get your ass beaten by a giant version of yourself, and who's this Ruby?" Bruiser asked as he and Stryker started walking. Stryker to a whiff of the air and quickly found the girls' scent. "I'll explain on the way, but we should probably be heading their way."
"Guess they're going to be in for a surprise," Bruiser stated as he followed in behind the smaller hybrid. Stryker turned and smirked at Bruiser. "You have no idea my dude."
About half an hour later, as they were getting closer, they both tensed when the sound of explosions going off not far from them. "What on Remnant?" Stryker said as they looked to the direction. "Should we check it out," Bruiser suggested.
"Knowing the girls... it probably have something to do with this," Stryker admitted as they then took off towards where they heard the explosion.
About a minute later, they looked to see a large hole in the ground. That wasn't promising, especially when they looked down in the hole. "Well... that doesn't look good," Bruiser commented.
"It sure doesn't, Bruiser," Stryker agreed as they looked down and saw a whole hoard of Grimm charging down the tunnel, and if Stryker guessed correctly, this tunnel headed straight to Vale. "This isn't good at all."
"With all that Grimm, it's not going to end well for whoever is on the other end of that trail," Bruiser stated, with Stryker having to agree. Vale is currently vulnerable and unprepared for this amount of Grimm.
"The humans and Faunus won't be expecting it," Stryker mumbled, "and that might also mean..." he took a whiff of the air before his eyes widened in horror. "Ruby!"
"You think she's been captured?" Bruiser asked his new friend. Stryker looked down and glared at all the Grimm moving forward. "Only one way to find out. You think you can handle the action?"
The Stegoceratops' beak formed a smirk as he clawed the earth like a bull ready to gore someone. "Stryker my new friend, it'll be my genuine pleasure." With that said, the two hybrids leaped into the tunnel and followed the massive hoard of Grimm. The only thing on Stryker's mind was that he hoped they could catch up in time, because if these Grimm reach the city, the girls are going to need all the help they could get.
At least he is bringing one hell of a reinforcement.
So you have all met Bruiser the Stegoceratops. I figure that he would be a match for Yang in all honesty. I mean just look at him, he's built for in your face brawling, and is basically a walking tank.
Anyway, next chapter he'll be meeting Team RWBY as him and Stryker will probably run in all dramatically during the final episode of Volume 2. That's the plan anyway...
So don't forget to review and check out my profile for my other stories. Peace out.
