EURON
His ship the Sea King broke waves left and right on its way to the Iron Isles. Euron Greyjoy had Ibeen in exile since his brother's failed attempt at glory and rebellion. There was also the fact that he raped his brother Victarion's wife. In his exile he traveled many places and eventually joined a pirate crew. After two years Euron became Captain of the Pirate ship. He traveled the world and seen many amazing things in his journeys.
Now he is returning home to kill his brother and take the Iron Throne. He sailed to Westeros from the east to reach the West. His ship docks at night, but there is no one on the docks. He disembarks and heads for the secret entrance into the castle. Every night before bed his brother Balon walks the rope bridge. He is not there, so Euron enters the main castle.
The castle is empty, his brother is not in his room. There are no guards on duty, no servants in the serving quarters. He is in the wine cellar when he hears a sound. He finds a man cowering in an empty barrel. "Who are you?" Euron demands.
"Walley…Walley Dunkar…"
"Why are you hiding and where is everyone?"
"They're all dead…and come to life again. She came…"
"She who?"
"Yara…Yara Greyjoy. She had green eyes. She was there and then she wasn't . She came with men with Green eyes…They killed everyone and then they came back to life."
His story made no sense and part Euron was tempted to kill Walley, but he did not. He takes him back to his ship and sails to Ten Towers on the Island of Harlaw. House Harlaw is the most powerful family on the Iron Islands. The House, Castle, and Island are ruled by The Reader, Rodrick Harlaw. He is called the Reader because he likes to read book on different subjects.
A large man named Reese announces Euron, "My Lord…Euron Greyjoy is here. He wishes an audience with you."
"Show him in."
Euron enters to find him with his head in a book. "Euron Greyjoy…What madness you bought you back here?" He asks keeping his head down. The big man Reese stands beside his Lord armed with a huge war axe.
"I missed my family."
"Let's not play games Euron…What do you want?"
"I stopped by Pyke. The Castle the Island…Everyone is gone."
He places a marker in the pages he had been reading and closes the book, "Gone?" Euron nods to some men with him and they bring a man in, "Tell Lord Harlaw what you told me."
He listens to the man's tale. Then he stands up, grabs a book off the shelf and tosses it to Euron. "Read."
"What for?"
"The legends of the North call him the Night King…His followers are known as White Walkers and Wights…They have blue eyes, not Green,"
Euron looks at the book, "You wrote this?"
"After reading the journals of Bran the Builder, Lord Commander Edwyn Stark, and Lord Commander Dyrrion Umber…Theon is dead…A few weeks ago I received word from Balon that Theon was executed by the Starks."
"Why?"
"Theon returned home trying to convince his father to support the Starks…He would not and sent Iron Born to attack Moat Cailin, Stoney Shore and Deepwood…Theon against his father's wishes and took Winterfell."
"Stupid."
"Aye…It was stupid, but I blame Balon and his stupid notions of reliving the glory days. We have received no word from Victarion or Yara and you come here with this news. I would not lend my men and my ships to his cause…The Iron born need to find a new way."
"I have found a new way."
He looks at Euron, "What way?"
"I will build the world's largest fleet…A thousand ships and then I will sail to Meereen and pledge myself to the Dragon Queen…She will be my Queen and I her King and we will rule the world together."
He yawns, opens his book and starts reading again. "I did not follow Balon. What makes you think I would follow a mad fuck like you?"
"Be careful old man."
He looks at Euron and then at Reese, who draws his axe. "You think it wise to threaten me in my own castle?"
"I did not threaten. I will be King."
"Then go and be King…You will have nothing from me and mine."
"I swear Old Man you will regret this." When he does not reply Reese flicks his head for Euron to leave. "Stubborn Old goat. He is still holding the book he was given and throws it to the side. He visits the other Lords of the Iron Isles. Blacktyde, Merlyn, Botely Drumm, Goodbrother, Spart, and Humble. They agree to follow him after telling them his plan. Then he visits his brother the Damphair Aeron Greyjoy. Aeron is high priest of the Drowned god and has to anoint Euron King, but first he hosts a Moot and no one challenges Euron. Then they set sail for Meereen heading south to turn east. He couldn't convince the Lords and Captains to sail west in the direction he had come from.
