The Hunters 18th Hunt
Nen Graduation x Farewell Heaven's Arena

.
.
It was already dusk. All she could see are the trees that seem to cage her inside the forest.
Wait. She knew this forest. She remembers this place all too well. The setting is the same. The same wind that sends shiver to her spine despite the sweat damping her body. The same scent mixed with wood, mud and moss.
Not this again.
Huff.
Huff.
Huff.
Sam knew this was a dream. Because this dream is the only place where she can see. Well, the last memory before she got herself blind.
A dream of a horrible memory.
Despite knowing it consciously, she was running. Running where, running how far, she doesn't care.
It was all the same.
"Stop! This is a dream! Wake up!"
Her body won't listen. She just went on, as the sun falls deeper behind the horizon. Night was coming. She was racing through the shadows that slither around the place.
Her foot snags on a root. She can't catch herself on time and slam into a stray log so hard her teeth rattled before crashing to the ground head first. For a moment, it's hard to tell which way is up or down.
This was a dream but it felt so real once again.
She can feel the pain that explodes through her entire body. But the same young voice in her head screams for her to get up. Saying she can't focus on pain now. Not when she's close to saving that person.
'Find him.' That was her younger self.
"No. Stop! Don't go any further! Don't let me watch this again!" Nothing happened. Just like many times before, her conscious voice became voiceless. She can't be heard.
This memory still played like a movie without a pause or stop button. It just went on.
When she forced herself onto her side, Sam realized she was already too late.
Sam found a shoe. His shoe- it's navy color smudged with blood. Her hand shakenly grabbed it.
Her vision roamed around. There were few scratches on a tree trunk. Bushes were swept away, some were flattened. A scythe's sharp blade buried on soil.
A scene of resistance.
She kneeled down and observed a drop of blood on the ground. It felt too real. It's like she's into this scenario the very first time.
She remembered the nervousness and fear. She looked ahead and saw a trail of blood that seemed to go beyond that place.
The way it stained the mossy soil showed that the body was dragged somewhere.
The younger Sam followed the trail, and every step she's making, her heart started to drum against her chest.
And just as before, the forest grows devastatingly still. The trail eventually stopped in front of a deciduous tree with a moderate sized buttress roots.
It was a Kapok tree.
She wondered why it stops there.
"Don't look!" Her inner self warned.
Since it wasn't yet completely dark, Sam looked up-
Tears were fast to pool her eyes then raced down unto her cheeks. She shouted his name.
"I knew you'll come back."
Her heart drummed wildly against her ribcage. Before she could spin around, a metal surface made contact with her head. It blasts inward from the point of impact.
No pain. She felt stunned and shocked realization that something very awful had happened. Then - an immediate desire to assess the damage.
Sam was already down on the ground, stomach planted.
There was numbness on the back side of her head as she lay on her stomach on the grass after the blow. She knew where she was, and what had happened. She even knew that she lay directly beneath a kapok tree. She remembered seeing him pinned on the branch of that tree, his body entirely bathed by his own blood. The red liquid flowed freely. It's like he's watering the tree with his own blood.
The girl limply crawled, her hands trying to reach out whatever to grab on just to pull her over as her tears flowed for more.
Her capturer made a delightful cackle. It was the voice of the same man who almost got caught of her a while ago.
If she could snort, she would. Knowing there wasn't any difference in her current situation.
He made small continuous steps, matching the girl's slow crawl as he dragged the shovel against the ground. It was like a sight in a horror movie.
He pinned her down by stepping on her back, "Where do you think you're going? There won't be second escape this time."
Then everything went black.
.
.
.
Samara stirred from where she lie, feeling lethargic and groggy. Her brows scrunched from the agonizing pain that tormented her right after she gained consciousness. She let out a small groan from her parted lips. She remembered falling asleep after being attended by the medics. She felt so tired that time that she just automatically blacked out after everything.
Damn muscle pains! She only had few cuts but her muscles screamed like hell! Especially her lower back and diaphragm area.
But one hard body suddenly knocked her down. The pain escalated. "Good morning Sam!" Gon chirped hyperly, pouncing her with a hug.
"Ow, ow, ow! Get off me!" She tried to push the boy off her but to no avail. The pain in her body was getting worse by second. She needed to get the weight off her. "What the hell are you doing? Get off me! You're killing me! Ouch!"
"Ooops, sorry." Gon said, not a hundred percent apologetic. He playfully stuck his tongue.
"I swear, I think you're trying to get back for what I did to your arm, right?" Gon and Killua where here all this time? She just hope she wasn't muttering something in her sleep.
"Of course not." He said innocently which suspiciously isn't.
Killua clicked his tongue. "This world doesn't need another Gon anymore. You're reckless as him."
Sam didn't like that. "Objections. I clearly wasn't acting reckless that time."
"We were surprised that it was Brett!" Gon exclaimed.
"Not as surprising when you're in the platform." The girl scoffed.
Killua nodded. "Now, I can imagine what kind of training you had with him after seeing the fight. In the seats, you looked like a demented, heavily damaged scarecrow."
Sam rolled her eyes. "Why don't tell you me something I don't know. It's a lot worse than watching from the sidelines."
"Why did he do it anyway?" Gon asked.
"He said it was a test. To test my combat abilities maybe?"
"Wing told us about that advanced technique En. It's useful for you." Killua commented, his back leaned against her end table.
"Yeah. It's just that it depletes aura fast. It's a fat chance I passed his evaluation."
Gon sat right next where Sam lied down. "Maybe not. I think you did well in your fight."
Sam sighed. Here he goes again with his optimism. "Is everything 'well' to you? I was in the same platform as him Gon. I know how weak I was against him."
Gon pouted. "That's what I really see. You fail but it doesn't mean you're weak."
"It's like you don't know him. He's too optimistic for his own good." Killua said.
"Yeah, right." She snorted in approval. Gon was not pleased about it. "Which reminds me. You're already doing Hatsu training, right?"
The boy in green's expression worked like a switch. It immediately changed into excitement and interest. "Wing taught us days ago. Guess our category! Guess it!"
"Enhancer." She said without second thoughts.
"Eh? How could you tell?"
"I was just guessing." But she had the gut feeling that Gon fits into that category. "So does that mean you're an Enhancer?"
Gon nodded enthusiastically.
Damn. Gon's in the category she really wanted. "I hate you."
"Ehhh?" He said in shock and worry. "Why?"
"Nothing I just hate you." Sam turned her attention to Killua. "You're a Transmuter or Conjurer."
"Transmuter, actually." He confirmed.
Sam looked amazed. "Really? That's opposite to my category."
"You're a Manipulator?"
Sam nodded. "As I've said, I'm done with Hatsu training. And now I don't know if I have to proceed to the next stage- assuming there would be a next one."
"I doubt Nen ends at learning Hatsu. Hisoka said it before. 'There's so much more in learning Nen.'" Mentioning Hisoka's name is like a ticking time bomb for Gon. All the happy vibes were completely gone.
She clearly knew Gon's history with that clown but this time had a different feels. "Is there something I don't know yet?"
There was a moment of silence before Gon decided to talk. She thought he became mute. "I'll be having a fight with Hisoka this coming July 10."
Oh? So the clown already accepted Gon's challenge. Her friend will lose for sure. But- "Then why are you still here? You should be training right now, right?" Sam smiled at the boy. "Just make sure to give him one nice punch."
"Just one?"
"Gon dear, I'm an honest friend. It will take you years to be on equal terms with him."
Gon look annoyed.
Killua chuckled. "Smiling like that adds effect on pissing him off. You don't need to be that prank."
"Gah! It's not even funny." He roughly stood up and heavily stomped towards the door. "I'll go training."
When he's finally out of earshot, Killua and Sam laughed. Hisoka's existence is such a sensitive topic for Gon that he walked out angrily from them.
That was the first! And it was cute of him.
"Ow, ow, ow. My ribs!" Sam cried out, stifling her laughter.
.
.
.
.
Killua left a little after Gon's little drama to train Hatsu. He told her she still needs rest, but no matter how much she tried to fall asleep, her brain wouldn't comply. She kept on tossing around and turning on her bed, for instead of slumber, her mind was somewhere else. She was sure she looked like a mess. Lacking sleep and the injury always made her look horrible.
Sam made a guttural sound in the back of her throat in frustration and sat up. Raking her hands through her hair. She's slowly becoming mad being cooped up like this.
She needs to move!
Some wounds and bruises were healing favorably but not most of it, like for example, the spots where Brett made a direct hit. It's still in pain!
Sam cussed. She needs water to calm herself. Lots and lots. Knowing that Killua left a pitcher and a glass on her bedside table, she slowly reached for it and poured.
"I see. So you're doing fine˜" Someone said that made her choke in the middle of gulping water, that some escaped and flowed to her shirt and shorts. The voice came from an overly familiar sickly sweet deep tone.
"What- the hell- are you- doing here?" Sam said between coughs. Her air pipe hurts! "You made me wet my clothes-" Look what that clown made her say! It definitely sounds weird.
"That hurts. I just want to pay you a visit." He said playing hurt by her words. Well, the concern was really not appreciated. "You know what adults do if a child did well into something, so I've brought you fruits."
Samara can't even comprehend what faces she's been displaying.
"Aw come on... don't look like I put bomb or poison in here. It's purely congratulatory gift." He said which isn't convincing at all.
Is this guy's brain getting damaged or something?
"I would much appreciate it if you please don't mix me up with your shenanigans. That would be the most wonderful concern from you." Sam almost pleaded as she shifted uncomfortably in her bed.
Hisoka just gave him a knowing smirk and dropped the fruits basket on top of the nearest furniture he can find. Right before exiting, he bumped into Brett, who also entered just on time. The man froze and Hisoka waved a hand before leaving.
"Why the hell-" He was going to say.
"Does it look like I know?" She cut him off.
"Are you two secretly meeting each other?" And then he gasped dramatically. "Be honest, are you interested with older guys?" He talked as if it's actually a big problem for him. "Should I worry about that? Let me forewarn you, I'm not into little girls."
Annoyed, she threw him a pillow. He catches it easily. "Screw you! Get out!"
He laughed. "It was just a joke!"
What he said is not a good joke.
"Why are you here anyway?" Sam asked rudely.
"Can't a teacher check the welfare of his student?"
Sam's lips twitched. "Besides the fact that you were the cause of this, I'm fine as of now."
"Aw, don't be like that. I told you this is a test. And speaking about it..." He cleared his throat. "Congratulations Samara. You finally graduated... well, it was four days ago."
Sam looked at him for spouting something nonsense. "What the heck are you blabbering about? I graduated from what? Being your punching dummy?"
"In Nen, you stupid girl." He shot back. "You already learned the basics."
"What? Really?" Sam responded, ignoring the fact that he just called her stupid.
"But you still have a lot more to learn and also... Samara Morgan, you have passed the Secret Hunter Exam."
She blinked. "But the Hunter Exam is-"
"The real Hunter Exam is to learn Nen. You can't be called a Hunter if you don't know it, as a professional Hunter are exceptionally string. One of the basic task as a Hunter will be apprehending evil poachers and criminals. You must be strong to fight crime. However, this power is highly destructive when used for wrong doings. Revealing the existence of Nen during the Exam would be dangerous. Therefore, the test is only administered to those who pass the Exam." He explained.
So that's why Tania never even mentioned it to her. Even Wing was reluctant at teaching them Nen at first. This is also what he means about 'not open to all'. "I see. So I truly am called a professional Hunter now?"
Brett nodded, as he hummed. "What's your next plan? Now that you're a hunter, are you finally going to start your search?"
"I'll go with Gon and Killua to Yorkhsin on September. After that, I'll go home and start."
"Yorkshin?" For a split second he sounded startled. Or was it just imagination?
"Yes. Why?"
"Nothing." Was his fast reply.
Sam narrowed her eyes. "Really?"
"Really, really."
It surely sounded like he's hiding something. Knowing Brett, he's a bit secretive- ish.
"By the way, I've been itching to ask you this before." Even having suspicions, she just had to open up another topic. Since it'll be the perfect moment to ask him. "Did you and Wing know each other for a long time?" Sam asked.
Brett grinned. His face lit up like she finally opened the most interesting topic of all time. "Of course! Since we were teens."
Teens? "Does that mean you have the same Nen master?" Just like Gon and Killua have?
"No. We have different teachers. It just happened that we were always together with minor missions during our youthful days. That's when our relationship blossomed and turned into best friends!"
Sam completely disagreed to that. Wing doesn't seem to see him that way. Brett was just self-claiming. It sounded more like Wing's role is a babysitter/guardian, due to his little escapade. Wing must've been through a lot with him. "Oh really. How about Tania?"
"We had the same teacher but after that, Tania's always been busy with other things. But those two met each other in a Hunter's conference."
"That means you and Mr. Wing have known each other longer than expected. That's amazing." Sam said. She just hoped the same with her friends.
"Don't you had anything else to ask? Did you finally find my life interesting?" He said, as he wiggled his eyebrows.
Sam frowned. "I am not interested at all."
His shoulders slumped down, his head followed. He's showing that stupidly saddened face. "Pity. I was even willing to share the story of my wondrous life."
Sam rolled her eyes. "Cut the act. That expression doesn't even suit you."
Brett cackled a laughed. He neared the fruits Hisoka juts dropped by. "Hmmm…. You wouldn't mind if I get one do you?" He asked as he took an orange even without waiting for her approval.
"Don't pick that! He may have injected something in there."
Brett just looked at her ridiculously. "The likes of him won't kill someone by food poisoning." So he just continued to peel the fruits. "Want some?"
"Don't blame me if you'll have rabies."
.
.
.
.
"Who's going first in showing me the results of their training?" Wing asked, drawing their attention towards them.
Currently, they're inside Wing's unit. It was finally the day of the boys' evaluation in their Hatsu.
As for Sam, she tagged along. She finally had the saving grace of being outside from her bloody room and that bloody tower. She's been there for weeks.
For weeks! That was enough to get mental!
Wing glanced at Gon and then to Zushi before finally settling his eyes on Killua. Sam was waiting for her friends to volunteer.
"If I may…" She interrupted. "I could give a little demo of mine." She said confidently before giving a smirk at Wing.
The older male smiled, looking amused at her confidence. "Then, Sam…"
They all watched with tense shoulders as Sam went up to the table. The brunette took a deep breath and opened her hands. She placed both of her hands on either side of the glass.
They blinked at the sight of the speedily spinning around at certain points. "Was it excellent or was it awesome? Pick one!" Sam gave them all a wide smile as she slowed down the flow of her Nen.
She could hear Gon and Zushi's chorused saying 'wow' as they clapped.
"I assure you, it's both." Wing finally said, pushing his glass back up. "An excellent demonstration of Hatsu from a Manipulator."
"Manipulator?" Zushi sounded more amazed.
"Ah, Zushi is a manipulator too, right?" Killua informed.
"Really? That's cool. Then we're like partners!" Sam beamed. It's the first time she actually met a Manipulator like her.
Wing chuckled. "So, who would like to try next?"
"Me!" Gon cried out, rushing towards the glass.
They watched him place his hands on either side of the glass. He took in deep breath and released his Nen. Everyone gawked as they watched/listened the volume of water increase and increase until it was overflowing the glass. It wouldn't be a surprise if Gon could flood the whole floor since the sheer volume of water seemed to increasing without end.
"S-stop Gon!" Wing panicked. That was only the time Gon stopped his Nen flow.
"I thought you'll actually turn this room into a giant fish tank!" Sam exclaimed.
"Sorry, sorry!" Gon apologized.
Wing ended up sighing as he wiped the overflowed water with towel. "It was excellent." He said, managing a smile at Gon. "Now it's your turn Killua."
Killua grinned and walked towards the table. He took in deep breath and narrowed his eyes, placing his hands on the sides of the glass. He allowed his flow of Nen to circle around the glass of water. He increased it and then stopped when he felt he had done enough.
Sam raised an eyebrow. "I don't hear anything. Did something materialize in water?"
Killua smirked. "No. Why don't you taste the water?"
Taste it? Even not so sure, she neared the glass just like the others. They dipped their fingers into the glass of water and tasted it.
Sam's face looked torn apart. "Pweh! What the hell? It's too sweet! You even applied your stupid addiction of sweets into your Nen!"
Gon laughed. "Yup, it is really sweet just the way Killua likes it!"
"It is very impressive," Wing agreed, smiling softly at them. "In fact what the three of you have done is impressive. It just shows me that you are all very skilled and are going to become the best at whatever field you choose to go into. I am proud to say that all three of you passed and with that-"
Sam was quick to scoop the small confetti poppers from her pocket and popped it at Gon's face. "Congratulations!"
"Huh?" Was their only confused and surprised expression.
"Gon, you passed the secondary Hunter Exam." He announced.
"Huh?"
Sam laughed. "I was confused at first as well!"
Wing explained to Gon just as like what Brett told her about it.
"That means you too?" The boy asked.
Sam bobbed her head. And made a peace sign.
"So wait a second, you mean that since the beginning you had the intention of teaching us Nen?" Killua asked.
"Yes, you only had to ask." Wing admitted. "The same thing with Brett."
"But why didn't he show his face as soon as he saw me? Why wait for me to learn Nen from you?"
"Ony one reason… He said he needs a cool entrance to show his face." He answered.
Sam looked unbelievably. "That man is such a…"
The older male smiled. "Brett never accepted a student before- saying it's all a hassle. He took you in as his student -even if it's just temporary- because like Gon and Killua, he can see potential you have."
Sam was actually taken aback. 'I'm his first mentee?'
"You really think I have potential? I'm still no good, especially in En." Sam asked herself.
"Why are you even asking that?" Wing asked. "Even blind, you already showed more than what we anticipated. And that's how amazing you are."
"True." Gon agreed.
"Ditto." Killua said.
"I agree as well." Zushi too.
She cooed and acted to wipe her eyes with the collar of her shirt. "You guys are making me cry." She even matched it with the sniffing effect.
Killua rolled his eyes at her little play. "Drama queen."
"Choco monster."
"…Hey Wing, do you know about what the other candidates are doing?" Gon asked, drawing Sam and Killua's attention back to him.
Wing nodded his head. "Yes. Hanzo and Kurapika have already learned Nen with other masters. Illumi and Hisoka had already fulfilled the conditions since the beginning. Leorio has planned to begin learning it after he passes the entrance exam at a medical university. Pokkle seems to have problems with Ren."
Sam's eyes brightened hearing what the others where up to. Especially Kurapika and Leorio! She missed those two a lot. "They all pushed themselves hard just like we did." She commented.
"Yup!" Gon agreed. "I can't wait to see them again."
"Two months more before Yorkshin!"
"Also Killua, don't hesitate to retake the main exam," Wing advised to Killua. "You won't have any problems passing it. Now, you have all the necessary qualities. I assure you."
"I will take it when I feel like it again." Killua said.
Sam laughed and slung an arm over Killua's shoulders and her other arm to Gon's before grinning wildly at the older male. "Since it's Killua we've been talking…." She let go. The girl marched towards Wing's bookshelf, took something from it before going back to them.
She handed Killua a small rectangular sized box.
"What is that?"
"Has you're brain got cavities from eating too much sweets? That's a gift. Happy Birthday!"
"Happy Birthday Killua!" Gon singed. "It's a few days late but still Happy Birthday!"
"Happy Birthday Killua-san!" Zushi greeted.
"Happy Birthday." Wing greeted too.
"Gon came rushing into my room and told me about it before dragging me out of my room and into the stores." Sam added as Wing and Zushi pulled out their presents for him. "That box is from me and Gon."
Killua blinked his eyes at the sight of the gifts and to them.
"You're a jerk for not telling us. If Gon hadn't played with your phone, he wouldn't see Gotoh's greeting messages!" Sam fumed.
Killua scowled and his eyes were fast to land on Gon. The other boy was fast to avoid his glare whistled. "You! Why the hell-"
"I can't help it! Mr. Gotoh sent you five messages! I thought it was urgent and you weren't around."
"Still!"
"Give it a rest already. It's your fault for leaving your phone just to buy three glasses of chocolate shake." Now she's sounding like Brett.
"But still!"
"If you just told us sooner, Gon wouldn't have to do it. Why didn't you tell us?"
Killua didn't answer immediately instead he touched the presents hesitantly, uncertain on what he should say to them. "Because I have never really celebrated my birthday. It wasn't a huge thing to my family and I was always off on jobs during my birthday so I never really celebrate it."
"Well, I somehow get that part." Sam said. This might actually the first time someone greeted his birthday warmly.
"You had to adjust cause it will be our yearly accomplishments. To celebrate our birthdays yearly!" Gon beamed.
"You do know that we'll be busy with different jobs years from now right?"
Killua smiled as he looked at them as they argue before looking at the box. He didn't know what to say to them. He was happy. Very happy. That he wondered if this is what they say earning happiness from receiving love and care from a real family.
.
.
.
.
Days went by like a fast forward movie. It's finally the day they've all been waiting for. Sam and Killua took their seats on the arena where Gon and Hisoka's fight will happen.
The entirety of the place is bustling with so many spectators and watchers, all anticipating to their fight.
It was all too noisy that she rolled tissue papers in to two balls and plugged it into her ears. The noise is trying to shatter her eardrums!
"Can you stop plucking your fingers? You're too anxious." Killua said, a bit annoyed.
She then realized that she was really plucking her finger unconsciously. "I can't help it, can I? This is a fight with Hisoka! Hisoka! And Gon is a prideful stubborn brat. He's a reckless, unperceptive idiot!"
Killua just rolled his eyes and chose to ignore her. He's in a bad mood.
He's been like that since Gon and Killua's graduation from Nen training. When he opened the box, he became grumpy. Well, Sam knew deep inside, he was happy that day. It's just that the present Sam and Gon gave him didn't appeal to him.
It was a box three 70% dark chocolate bar, which made him fume about it. To her defense, she was acting the goody-concerned-type of a friend. He's taking so many chocolates that she tried to scare him of having rotten teeth and diabetes. But Killua just gave it a cold shoulder.
This brat even compared Zushi's gift- a comic book- saying at least Zushi picked something good.
He's being a choosy jerk. He should be happy she didn't pick the 100% one or those spicy chocolates.
As the match started, Gon fearlessly rushed to Hisoka, who however repels all his attacks without moving from his spot. He loses one point to Hisoka's feint. Which prompts him to flip a floor tile in front of Hisoka and shattered it with a kick.
Sam's surprised that the Heaven's Arena committee still hasn't file charges against Gon for repeatingly damaging their property.
While Hisoka deflects them, Gon slips in his blind spot and punches him in the face, earning two points.
The two contenders pause long enough for Gon to return Hisoka's badge. As they take their stances again, and even deduced that Gon is an Enhancer and explains his own made personality test, which Sam found accurate:
Enhancers are simple-minded and determined. Transmuters are whimsical liars and fickle. Conjurers are high strung and stoic. Emitters are impatient and short tempered. Manipulators are argumentative and doesn't care what others say to their goals. And Specialists are independent and charismatic.
Damn, he was right about some. Especially about Enhancers, Manipulators, and Transmuters.
The magician clashes at him and pummels him one-sidedly. Gon keeps his distance while trying to come up with a plan until he uses Gyo and sees that Hisoka attached his Bungee Gum to his cheek. Since he cannot keep his distance, Gon ran towards Hisoka and striked him repeatedly, not until he was yanked towards Hisoka's fist. Gon ended up being tricked by Hisoka's Bungee Gum and lost the battle by TKO.
"Oh, that cheater." Samara muttered but at least Gon wasn't seriously injured or anything.
"Well, that still counts as a strategy." Killua said beside her. "You tried to deceive some people in the exam remember?"
Sam scoffed. "I know that! It's just irritating if that were to happen to me."
After the match, the two waited for Gon in a corridor. Once Gon saw them, a contented smile drawn in his face. He started to run towards them happily. Gon was finally able to fulfill his own promise. He had a good fight with Hisoka too.
As what Brett and Wing instructed, they gathered in front of the Tower's entrance. It's already dark.
"I have nothing to say against your fight with Hisoka. But I expect you learned something during your match." Wing said.
"Learned something?" Killua wondered.
"What is it?" Samara intrigued.
"Secret..." Gon replied.
Killua and Sam both clicked their tongue with him being secretive.
"Well that was a good fight. You were able to grow so much despite Wing prohibited you for two months. That goes to Killua-kun as well." Brett praised.
Gon scratched his head, acting shy at the compliment.
"Are you bringing Sam with you?" Killua suddenly asked.
"Hm? Oh, nope. It was my objective at first but I happen to convince sis not to." His reply.
"So, Sam can still come with us?" Gon beamed.
Brett nodded with a smile. "Of course..."
"That being said, starting from now on, it's up to you to find your own personal power of interest." Wing
"Yes, Yes. Don't forget you still have a lot to learn about Nen, kids!"
Own personal power of interest, huh?
"Osu!" Gon, Sam and Killua chanted.
"Thanks for everything Wing-san, Brett-san and Zushi." Gons said.
"Yeah, thank you..."
"Zushi, take care of yourself okay?" Sam told the youngest kid.
"Of course, Samara-san. You three as well. I'll practice more so that I'll catch up with you."
"Heh, will you be able to?" Killua teased, not in a rude way though. He was just playing.
Back at their evaluation day, Zushi wasn't able to get a pass from Wing- saying the boy still needs a lot of training. He was disappointed, but not enough to surrender.
"I will!"
"You can do it Zushi!" Gon said, giving motivation to do more. "We're going now. Thanks again for everything!"
"Say, will you be staying here for a while?" Sam asked Brett.
"No. I leave tomorrow because of a mission. But for now, Wing and I will drink for a job well done." Brett placed his arm over Wing's shoulder.
"No, I don't drink." He said as he removed Brett's hands.
"Oh come one..."
With that, they just left the three and proceeded to their next journey.
