Chapter 10

Two days later, in front of Fairy Tail's Guild Building.

A crowd was gathered in front of the Fairy Tail building. Today was the day all the guild members of Fairy Tail were going to get a treat. It was Tsuna on one corner and Natsu, Gray, Lucy and Happy on the other corner. While Lucy was shaking in her boots at the prospect of fighting Tsuna, Natsu and Gray were wearing shit-eating grins on their face. On the other hand, Tsuna was mildly disappointed that he could not fight Erza as well but knew that it would not be fair for her to face Takeshi immediately after.

"To think that we'll be witnessing such a manly fight! It makes my blood start pumping!" Elfman yelled in excitement with everyone around him agreeing while shouting and cheering.

"Bets! Bets! Place your bets! Place your bets!" Cana yelled while sitting in front of the betting pool booth. "Odds are 60:40 in Tsuna's favour!"

"60:40?!" Hayato yelled in outrage. "Woman, the boss is much stronger than a 60! It should at least be 80:20 in Tsuna's favour!"

"Hey now!" Cana argued back, affronted. "I'm a professional bookie! I always take everyone's strength and power into account before announcing the odds. You don't like it, you don't need to bet!"

"Why you?!" Hayato growled before Takeshi, Lambo, and I-Pin restrained him.

"Calm down," Takeshi said while holding Hayato and calming him down. "It really doesn't matter what the odds are. We know the boss will still win."

"Y'all ready?" Tsuna asked his opponents while adjusting the sleeves of his suit.

"Hell yeah!" Natsu and Gray yelled together while pumping their fists.

"Y-Yeah." Happy replied, though not with the same vigor as Natsu and Gray.

"D-Do I-I r-really h-have t-t-to b-be h-here?" Lucy stammered in fear.

"Lucy! Don't worry!" Erza yelled from the sidelines while hoping to cheer her teammate. "I'm sorry that I'm not there with you. But know that you have my complete support!"

"If you're that worried, you can get someone else in if you want," Tsuna said. "I do understand your situation."

"Hey, we don't need any help!" Natsu exclaimed while pointing at Tsuna.

"You don't. Lucy does." Tsuna replied, before addressing the crowd. "Who wants to come in as backup?"

Everyone looked at Tsuki, who at that point was hoarding burgers and fries into her mouth. She looked up when she noticed everyone's stares, especially Lucy's hopeful look. "Hell no. I ain't interested to fight bro while looking out for guys who can't keep up with me," she replied before going back to eating. Lucy looked crestfallen, Natsu looked pissed and Gray just didn't care.

"Very well. I shall do it." Elfman said as he stepped forward. "It's not manly to leave a friend to fight someone way above her paygrade!"

"Oh my, a rare challenger. Very well." Tsuna accepted with a smirk before his face got serious and he took a stance ready to fight. To show exactly how ready he was, he lit his hands on fire, which activated his half-fingered gloves, that turned into a black coloured gauntlet with red and orange streaks on it. On the back of each hand was a golden coloured 'X'. "Now… to all ye brave souls who wish to die. Step forward."

'Oh boy.' Tsuki thought while sipping her soda. 'He's serious.'

"Looks like I can come at you with no regrets then! Now I'm all fired up!" Natsu exclaimed, his voice betraying his excitement and giddiness to fight Tsuna.

"Begin!" Master Makarov called while signaling the beginning of the fight.

Background music: Yakuza 0/Ryu Ga Gotoku 0 OST–Receive You~Tech Trance Arrange~[Awakening Mix] (If you're playing the video on the link, the fight starts when the video is at 0:40, jus' sayin')

"I can hear boss music, baseball bastard," Hayato stated.

"So can I." Takeshi agreed. "The boss is serious."

Meanwhile, all combatants stared at each other for a few moments before Natsu made the first move by running towards Tsuna with incredible speed and letting loose a flurry of punches and kicks. Tsuna either blocked, parried or dodged all of them. Suddenly, Tsuna felt a chill behind him. He looked back to see Gray in his familiar ice-make stance. His intuition told him to dodge.

Ice-Make: Arrows!

Tsuna immediately dodged the fast-moving projectiles and moved to counter. However, he had to dodge again, because of a scaly arm, courtesy of Elfman came barreling towards him. In retaliation, Tsuna used the blindspot to give a flaming uppercut punch to Elfman's chin and send him flying. Once again, however, before Tsuna could attack, he felt something grabbing his legs. He looked down to see Virgo, half above the ground, holding his legs while smirking.

'Shit.' Tsuna thought as he looked to his left to see Lucy cracking her whip and then tying his hands.

"Ah, I see. She has a maid that has chains on her hands and also uses a whip. Lucy, you're really into kinky sex aren't you, Miss Sadist. Are you a masochist as well?" Tsuna said in faux innocence and then giving a knowing grin.

"NO I'M NOT!" Lucy yelled in protest. "But I've got you tied. NOW NATSU!"

"Alright! Great job guys!" Natsu yelled as he jumped above Tsuna and took in a deep breath.

"Son of a bitch!" Tsuna shouted with wide eyes when he realised what Natsu was about to do.

Fire Dragon's Roar!

Pause Background Music

"Holy shit!" Many people in the crowd murmured in surprise, after all, everyone knew of Tsuna's monstrous strength.

"The boss lost?" Hayato asked in wide-eyed surprise.

"Well it is hard for me to believe it as well but… they did beat him fair and square." Takeshi replied with a slight frown.

"Hey, I-Pin. Did Tsuna-nii really…?" Lambo started to ask but left it hanging.

"Lemme check," I-Pin replied before activating her Sharingan to see through the fire. What she saw, made her smirk, an emotion not missed by Lambo who immediately understood.

"Good one guys!" Natsu yelled while fist-bumping everyone, including Gray. "I knew we could beat him if we worked together."

"Aye!" Happy said.

"Yeah. After all, Tsuna's strength is equivalent to an entire armored division of the Royal Army when he goes on the attack. The best way to beat him was to not allow him to attack." Gray added while agreeing with Natsu.

"A manly fight!" Exclaimed Elfman.

"I can't believe that I actually lived through that," Lucy said to herself while trying to calm herself down.

"I have to admit. I'm proud of the level of teamwork you guys have displayed." Erza said from the crowd while not at all hiding the pride in her voice.

Replay Music

"Yeah. You can say that again." Tsuna's voice was suddenly heard. Natsu, Gray, and Lucy turned back in surprise to see Natsu's dragon flames being sucked in to finally reveal Tsuna. Without a single scratch on his person or his suit. He looked at the group at simply said, "Yeah… excellent teamwork."

"Fuck." Tsuki murmured uneasily. "He just snapped."

The look in Tsuna's eyes completely terrified the team. However, Tsuna closed his eyes once before opening them again, in an effort to calm himself down. Instead, he just gave a terrifying smirk. "You're wrong on one thing Gray. My strength is not equal to an entire armored division of the Royal Army."

"W-What?" Gray asked unsurely.

"My strength… is equal to an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile," Tsuna said before he disappeared.

"Where'd he go?!" Natsu yelled as he and his group looked everywhere.

Suddenly Mirajane yelled, "Elfman! Behind you!"

Elfman looked behind to only see Tsuna standing behind him. Before he could react, he could feel Tsuna's fist digging into his guts. Once again, Elfman was sent flying, but this time with more force and he immediately crashed into the wall of the guild with a scary crash. Immediately Tsuna turned to Gray and with a flaming punch at the ready. However, Gray was very quick to react with an Ice-Make: Shield.

"Nice and quick reaction." Tsuna complimented.

"Not only did I have a good teacher, but also a guildmate much better than me. So it's not like there was any lack of standards to surpass." Gray countered while sweating to maintain his shield because of the heat.

"I hope you do surpass those standards," Tsuna said genuinely before pulling his fist back. "Unfortunately, it's not today."

Fire Phoenix Burning Fist!

Before Gray could react, Tsuna's burning fist made contact with the ice-shield, which shattered on impact. However, the momentum of Tsuna's burning fist didn't stop and hit Gray straight on the face. While not as bad as Elfman, even Gray was sent flying, knocked out for good before he actually bounced twice because of the force. After Gray, Tsuna turned his attention to Natsu who could only see the beatdown of Elfman and Gray by being frozen in shock. This was a serious mistake, as Tsuna immediately capitalized and went for the knock out punch. However…

"NATSU! WATCH OUT!" Happy yelled, managing to get Natsu out of his funk. Once he got his bearings, he saw Tsuna running towards him with an intent to kill and right hand ready to punch. Out of pure instinct, Natsu raised his hand to defend himself and felt Tsuna's punch as if he just got hit by a train. However, out of sheer willpower, Natsu still remained standing, only skidding a few feet back.

"Impressive." Tsuna praised. "Not many people can take my punch and still stand."

"Yeah." Natsu agreed. "I can't even feel my hands right now. It's numb."

"Sorry, Natsu," Tsuna said. "I have my own pride on the line, you know."

"Oh no," Natsu muttered once he realised what's gonna happen. Unfortunately, because of the numbness, he could not even move. Tsuna just stepped back, before punching Natsu on the stomach. When Natsu keeled over, Tsuna raised his leg and then bought it down like an ax kick.

The only ones left now were Happy and Lucy. Like Natsu, even Lucy was terrified of what she saw. Even she knew that just herself and Happy would not be able to do anything against the monster that was Tsuna.

"Happy…" Tsuna called.

"A-Aye?!" Happy asked in shock and surprise at being singled out.

"Beat it," Tsuna ordered. "Leave. Or else I'll send you flying by kicking you like a football."

"A-AYEEEEEEEE!" Happy flew away in fear. And at this point, even the now-silent crowd could not blame him.

"Now… it's just you." Tsuna said as he turned to a terrified Lucy. "What are you going to do? Are you going to just give up, like a scaredy-cat? Or will you fight back?"

That question stopped Lucy short. Even for just a few seconds, it made her forget her fear. And honestly, she was feeling angry at what Tsuna did to Natsu, Elfman, and Gray. She had to get some form of payback. "I-I'll fight. I won't forgive you for what you did to my friends!" Her reply obviously shocked everyone present, and they made their feelings known through their protests.

"Lucy no!"

"Get away!"

"He's too strong for you right now!"

"Oh for God's sake! Will you all shut up?!" Tsuki suddenly yelled. "She made her decision. Respect it and let her go through it! Stop convincing her to do otherwise! If y'all are so worried about her, why don't you guys try and rescue her?!"

"You're welcome to try…" Tsuna said in a sing-song voice.

No one jumped in.

"Master! Are you not gonna stop this?!" Levy asked Master Makarov.

"Don't see any reason to." Master Makarov replied bluntly.

"Master!"

"Well, ignoring them," Tsuna said as he turned his attention back to Lucy who already had one of her golden celestial keys out, ready to fight. "Let's continue, shall we."

"Bring it," Lucy said with hard eyes.

"Sure," Tsuna said and with a burst of speed made his way to Lucy. Some members of the crowd had covered their eyes because they could not bear to see Lucy being hurt. Those who had kept their eyes open though were treated to something completely unexpected.

End Music

"Oh. My. God!" Someone yelled.

"Kyaaaahhhh!" Mirajane squealed.

"Woah. To think he actually had the balls to do that." Cana said with wide eyes.

"Holy cheese!"

"Is that even legal?!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Tsuki rolled on the floor laughing at what she saw.

"Oh… my." I-Pin muttered with a sweatdrop. "That's a professional for you."

"To think he's actually using something that is extremely difficult for even honeypot assassins…" Lambo said in awe. "Yeah. He's bloody good."

The scene was Tsuna holding Lucy tightly at her waist with his left arm while gently cupping her left cheek with his right hand. However, what really surprised everyone was what he was doing. Tsuna was giving a series of small indiscriminate French kisses to Lucy. That included the tongue. Because of the unexpected attack, even Lucy couldn't react properly at first. But when she did, she went completely red in shame and tried to free herself from Tsuna by thrashing about. However, Tsuna's grip was too strong, his attack was too good for Lucy to give a befitting reply and well… so was his tongue. After five minutes, Lucy's head just dropped down backward, completely knocked out, the majority of it was because of the shame. Once Lucy gave up, Tsuna left her mouth and wiped the saliva off before carrying Lucy to Cana's booth where he gently laid her on the table.

"Yeah. Sorry about that." Tsuna simply said.

"YOU AIN'T GETTING AWAY WITH JUST A 'SORRY' YOU BASTARD! TALK ABOUT A SCANDAL!" All the members of Fairy Tail yelled in shock and awe.

"Tsuna, even you know that it's improper to just randomly kiss people like that!" Levy chided with her hands in her hips. Tsuna didn't need to be a genius to know that she was really miffed by what he did.

"Who wouldn't want to kiss a hot chick like Lucy?" Tsuna casually asked, until a hand came on his shoulder and gripped it hard.

"Say that one more time," Tsuki ordered. Instead, Tsuna just started sweating bullets. "Oi oi." Tsuki started again, and for just a second, Tsuna was reminded of the countless yakuza he encountered in both of his lives. "Here you shamelessly kissed a girl in public, and most probably took her first kiss. You will take responsibility right, you bastard?"

"Yeah yeah!" All the women of Fairy Tail shouted together in support.

"Honestly, calm down all of you," Tsuna said to quiet everyone. "The thing that I said before was just a joke. While Lucy is indeed hot, I'm not crass to randomly kiss women and then run away from responsibility. I'll obviously apologise when she wakes up."

"Then why did you kiss her?" Mirajane asked while putting a finger to her chin and tilting her head.

"I just didn't want to hurt her. But after I knocked Natsu, Gray and Elfman it wouldn't be fair for me to just abruptly end the fight. While those three idiots can take a licking and still keep ticking, Lucy can't. At least not right now. How do I end it then? Quite simple. The Kiss of Death." Tsuna explained.

"I KNEW IT!" Hayato exclaimed. "NO WONDER IT LOOKED SO FAMILIAR!"

"Haha. For you, of course, it would be familiar, Hayato." Tsuna agreed with a smile. "After all, it was your elder sister, Big Sis Bianchi, that taught us this move."

"No no. She taught us. But out of all of us, only you and Chrome could learn it and effectively use it." Hayato countered.

"Before we learn more about Gokudera's sister, what is this Kiss of Death exactly?" Erza asked for the first time since the fight ended.

"Well, with the people, or groups we used to roll with, it was officially called, Il Bacio Della Morte. It is a very infamous greeting where if received, consider your life forfeit." Tsuna bluntly and truthfully said, much to the shock of everyone listening.

"Say Tsuna…" Levy started with uneasiness. "What kind of dangerous people did you roll with?"

"Aw. Don't worry Levy. I never received it." Tsuna said in an attempt to assuage Levy's and to an extension everyone else's unease. Before quietly whispering, but still being heard by a few sharp ears. "Rather, I was the one who gave the Bacio Della Morte to… traitors."

"You know anything about this?" Erza asked Tsuki.

"No," Tsuki replied before continuing. "Looks like my brother has a lot of skeletons in his closet that is slowly but quietly revealing themselves."

"Odd that he is revealing them himself," Erza said.

"Indeed." Tsuki agreed.

"The move that the boss used on Lucy has the same name, but is different in context. Basically, the user of this technique is able to acquire several 'Combo Hits' off their victims/opponents through indiscriminate French kisses until they get knocked out. The only people we're aware of that can use this technique are two hitwomen, and one of them is Hayato's elder sister, Big Sis Bianchi." Takeshi explained with a grin before turning to Tsuna. "I counted 45 hits."

"45?!" Tsuna asked in shock. "Shit, I've been slacking off! I should have hit at least 55-60 hits!"

"Haha!" Takeshi laughed.

"This ain't a laughing matter, yo!" Tsuna exclaimed. "Now I'm worried I'm losing my edge!"

"Nah you're still fine boss," Hayato reassured Tsuna, before whispering. "Don't turn into Leonid Brezhnev now, just to keep your skill sharp."

"Zip it," Tsuna ordered before changing the topic. "Well then, guess I win. Right, Master?"

"Indeed." Master Makarov said with a nod. "While indeed an unorthodox and dare I say, strange way of ending the fight, it was a completely legal way to end it. Now, we go the next card, Takeshi Yamamoto v Erza Scarlett, no holds barred."

"ALRIGHT!" The entire guild cheered, as they got ready for witnessing another fight.

While Erza and Takeshi got themselves ready by doing short warmups, Tsuna made his way to Cana and her betting table where Lucy was still lying down on.

"Well, if it isn't Mr. I'm-so-noble-I-won't-hit-a-pretty-lady-but-still-kiss-her-to-end-the-fight." Cana said with a teasing grin on her face.

"That… was too quick and long for your alcohol-soaked brain to come up with quickly," Tsuna replied flatly while Cana just heartily laughed before taking a swig of her beer from the pint on her hand. "What's the odds for this one?"

"Well, I already know Erza's strength," Cana replied as she wrote the odds for betting of this fight. "And you told me what your friend is capable of. I'm keeping it at 50:50."

"How generous," Tsuna said as he took out his wallet and gave a note of 1000 Fiorean Jewels to Cana. "My money's on Takeshi."

"You're sounding really sure," Cana noted with a raised eyebrow as she accepted the legal tender and deposited it before noting it down on her register. "Any reason for it?"

"Who knows? It's just a feeling." Tsuna replied as he adjusted his suit and then his watch.

"Yeah…?" Cana trailed off. "The same feeling that saw you bankrupt three of the biggest casinos in the Accordo Protectorate, not knowing that they were connected to political bigwigs, causing general chaos in Altissia, the capital city, and then hightailing it by stealing a patrol craft belonging to the Imperial Navy of the Niflheim Empire. That same feeling right?"

"Ah… Now those were the good days." Tsuna said with a reminiscing look. "Are we still unwelcome over there?"

"How should I know? It still surprises me that we used fake IDs to get in and none of them even realized it." Cana said while giving an amused grin of her own as she remembered Tsuna's actions in the Accordo Protectorate. After all, because Tsuna essentially bankrupted the nation for a few hours (till now even she could not figure out how he did it), she even got a nice ten percent of the money, which was partially responsible for her… lavish lifestyle. What did surprise her was how Tsuna converted what would have been considered, under Fiorean financial law as 'black money', into 'white money'. The only individuals, who knew about it, were herself, Tsuna and Master Makarov. Now Cana knew that Tsuna had much more knowledge than he let on. Committing what was essentially fraud and money laundering, without letting the Royal Security and Exchanges Board of Fiore, or the Royal Financial Conduct Authority to even get a whiff, was more than enough to let Cana know what he was capable of.

"What about this one?" Tsuna asked Cana while referring to Lucy who was still sleeping on the table.

"Don't worry about Lucy, Tsuna," Mirajane replied before Cana could open her mouth. "I'll take her to the medical room in a while."

"Well, I don't mind doing it myself," Tsuna said thoughtfully.

"No. I'll do it." Mirajane countered with her smile in place.

"But, it is my fault this happened in the first place…" Tsuna started but trailed off when he saw the dangerous look on Mirajane's face that still had a smile on. "Please do take her. Be safe."

"Brilliant!" Mirajane said with a smile and casually picked up Lucy like a sack of potatoes, surprising Tsuna at her physical strength, and making her way to the sickbay of the guild.

"Who was the fool who said that Mira lost her powers?" Cana asked rhetorically.

"Alright, you brats!" Master Makarov called. "Gather round! The fight's about to begin!"

"Good luck both of you!" Tsuna called at Takeshi and Erza, as they both got ready. However, before they both got ready to fight, Tsuna quickly whispered in Takeshi's ear, "You better win! I've put money on you!"

"Haha. Don't worry about it, Tsuna." Takeshi assured as he unsheathed his katana. Tsuna's sharp eye caught a swallow engraved on the flat of the blade at the base, near the guard.

"Hey, is that the Shigure Kintoki?" Tsuna asked Hayato as both of them stood on the sidelines.

"Yep," Hayato confirmed with a nod. "He's going to go all out."

Meanwhile, Erza also summoned a broadsword and got ready to fight. Once both combatants were well and ready, Master Makarov yelled, "BEGIN!"

Immediately a bunch of things happened at once. First, Takeshi disappeared from his position and appeared behind Erza. At the same time, Erza's left cheek, left hand and left leg cut open and blood started spurting out from the multiple cuts, and Erza, along with almost all the bystanders were left gaping in shock.

"Woah!" Tsuna yelled in awe. "Talk about an opening dialogue!"

"I see…." Erza contemplated before concluding. "Your forte lies in speed."

"Bzz." Takeshi sounded. "Absolutely wrong."

"W-What?" Erza asked in confusion.

"The way I wield my sword is similar to that of a warrior assassin. It's an unmatched style that was forged in battle, to be used for killing all foes." Takeshi said. "And sorry. If you could not even handle my 'greeting', then you've still got a long way to go before you can go toe-to-toe with me."

"That is a declaration of war then, isn't it, Takeshi Yamamoto?" Erza asked while glaring at her opponent. She was not at all pleased with the jab at her pride.

"Take it as whatever you wish." Takeshi declared. "Let's do this."

"Very well," Erza responded.

Requip: Flight Armour!

"Woah!" The crowd exclaimed. "To think Erza's already bringing out the big guns!"

"I'm assuming this armour helps you in your speed?" Takeshi asked.

"You assume correct," Erza replied before using her speed to disappear.

Sonic Claw!

"Like I just said…" Takeshi started before responding to Erza's attack. "This ain't about speed."

Shigure Soen Ryu, 2nd Form: Sakamaku Ame (Rolling Rain)

Erza's Sonic Claw attack was supposed to allow her to attack Takeshi from multiple angles at extremely high speeds. However, Takeshi's 2nd Form: Sakamaku Ame, had negated that immense speed when multiple waves of water were created that then proceeded to obscure Takeshi behind walls of water. Because of this, Erza crashed out of the water while hacking and sputtering, mainly because she was not expecting to suddenly run into water.

"Did that cool you a little bit?" Takeshi taunted, much to Erza's chagrin.

"That idiot," Tsuna said as he facepalmed himself. "That dumb shark called Squalo really had rubbed off him."

"You can say that again." Hayato agreed while facepalming himself. "However…"

"However what?" Tsuna asked.

"Erza just lost." Hayato declared. "Takeshi's magic has the same properties as the rain flames, and even if Erza uses her speed now, Takeshi would still be able to counter it."

"Well, he did go against illusionist powerhouses like Genkishi and Daemon Spade." Tsuna agreed. "High speed is nothing compared to those monsters."

"Yeah," Hayato replied. "By the way, do you have any idea why I can sense the Magic Council Rune Knights surrounding this place?"

"It's not only the Rune Knights," Tsuna replied. "It's the Sheriff's Department as well."

"Who's the Sheriff by the way?" Lambo and I-Pin asked as they butted themselves into the conversation.

"A familiar person," Tsuna replied before turning to I-Pin with a smirk. "You used to have a crush on him."

"Oh… hell no." Hayato said in mock-despair.

"It's him," Tsuna said with a smile. "What say you, Sheriff?"

"Hn. The fight will have to be stopped." Sheriff Kyouya Hibari declared as he made his way next to Tsuna while being flanked by two members of Magnolia's SWAT Teams completely decked out in battle gear. "I have warrants for two arrests issued by the Magistrate sitting in the Crown Court here in Magnolia."

"Who?" Tsuna asked in surprise.

"You'll see." Came the answer.

Meanwhile, Erza (who had already changed into her Sea Empress Armour) and Takeshi were involved in a high stake exchange of sword strikes. It was highly evident, that while Erza did not have any kind of formal sword training, she was still a natural talent with the sword which allowed her to go toe-to-toe with Takeshi who not only had the training, but also experience of actual and live combat against a human enemy. 'Six months under dad's or Squalo's tutelage, and she'll be a devastating force of nature' Takeshi mused as he could not help but respect Erza's strength.

'He… He is just too good.' Erza thought herself as both of them continued exchanging blow after blow against each other. 'No matter what I try, I just can't get through his defense. Not only that, but my speed has become sluggish after going through that unexpected waterfall. It has to be somehow related to his magic. Alright Erza, think! What to do?! You already have your Sea Empress Armour on. How could you turn this into your favour?!'

'Guess I can immobilize her with that move.' Takeshi thought as he shifted his stance while having his sword be surrounded by blue water that looked like flames and dashed forward.

'What's he gonna do?' Erza thought as she took a defensive stance, ready to parry or dodge.

Attacco Di Squalo!

'What the?!' Erza asked herself as she tried to counterattack after parrying. 'Why can't I move?!'

"Attacco Di Squalo." Tsuna stated.

"Do you know that move?" Master Makarov asked as he seemingly appeared from nowhere.

"What the fuck?!" Tsuna asked in surprise as he suddenly noticed Master Makarov before replying, "Yeah. I know it. It's a powerful blow that turned into oscillating waves which have stunned Erza's muscles for a while. An hour or so give or take."

After that clash, Takeshi quickly made space between himself and Erza and took a series of deep breaths before momentarily closing his eyes. Once again, Takeshi shifted his stance while he encased himself in water and dashed forward while keeping his sword pointed at his opponent. Meanwhile, Erza who was still frozen braced herself.

Shigure Soen Ryu, 10th Form: Scontro di Rondine!

CLANG!

Takeshi looked with wide eyes when he realized it was none other than Magnolia's Sheriff and his fellow Cloud Guardian that intercepted and stopped his attack with his tonfas. "H-Hey Kyouya." Takeshi greeted as he righted himself. He then adopted his usual happy-go-lucky attitude before asking, "And how've you been? Haha, it's been such a long time! Hey by the way, did you see Hayato as well?"

Meanwhile, Sheriff Hibari had a deadpan expression on his face. He just gave a single "Hn" in greeting before turning to the crowd and announcing. "I've got a warrant for the arrest of two people, and they're both from Fairy Tail. With multiple charges of damaging public and private properties, and 11 more related and unrelated charges relating to the Eisenwald Terrorist Incident, Erza Scarlet and Tsunayoshi Sawada are now under arrest!"

"Wh-What…" Everyone asked in a daze a few moments later.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Tsuna started laughing uncontrollably immediately after. "I *hah* knew *hah* we did not *hah* hear the end about the *hah* police car we stole!" Tsuna said in between wheezes.

"OH MY GOD, YOU ACTUALLY STOLE A POLICE CAR?!" Everyone yelled once they snapped back to their senses.

"It was Erza's idea." Tsuna pointed immediately.

"STOP LYING!" Erza shouted back.

"Boo-boo." Tsuna taunted as a constable came towards him to put a pair of handcuffs on his wrists.

"Do you have any dangerous items on your person, sir?" The constable asked Tsuna.

"Check him for weapons," Kyouya ordered before Tsuna could answer.

"Yes, sir." The constable replied as he and his partner went on to carry a search.

~A few moments later~

11. Military-Grade Combat Knife (x1)

"You planning to start a war or something?" Kyouya asked, thoroughly unimpressed while everyone else from Fairy Tail looked on in disbelief at the number of items that were recovered from Tsuna.

"Damn. He's got much more than me." Bisca murmured while Alzack nodded in agreement.

"Too much work," Tsuna replied immediately. "Those are emergency provisions."

"Really?" Kyouya asked with a voice heavily laden with sarcasm. "And I was born yesterday."

"You were?" Tsuna asked back with eyes wide in a comical manner.

"Put 'em in the van," Kyouya ordered while ignoring Tsuna. The cop nodded and marched Tsuna into the police van where he was padlocked into a cubicle with heavy magic sealing chains. Erza was treated the same way. Of course, Makarov, Kyouya, Tsuna, and Erza knew what this was really about. However, Tsuna was sure that his Guardians did not. Therefore, just before the doors of the Magnolia Sheriff's Department prisoner transport van closed, Tsuna made sure to signal Master Makarov to quickly and quietly explain the situation to his Guardians. Because the last thing either Tsuna or Erza would need were them busting into the Magic Council Fiore Branch Courthouse and causing a scene. Master Makarov just gave Tsuna a nod as the doors of the van closed and then sped away.

Magic Council Building, Fiore Branch. Location: Unknown, but somewhere in Fiore.

While the guild members of Fairy Tail (including Natsu, Gray, Elfman, and Lucy who had woken up an hour after the police transport van left) were moping about Tsuna and Erza's fate, Tsuna, who was taking a nap suddenly awoke with a start and in the process hit his head on the door of the cubicle with a loud bang. Tsuna did not pay it any mind as he frantically looked at his surroundings as if he was trying to confirm where he was before relaxing while taking a deep breath. Unknown to him, Erza saw the entire thing and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at what she saw. While only momentarily, this was the first time she had seen absolute fear and panic in Tsuna's eyes and as he calmed himself down, Erza could see her friend's forehead and eyebrows covered in sweat and that was definitely not because of the heat in the van. Furthermore, while he was relaxing, Erza could still see the small spasms that were running across Tsuna's body. 'Whatever he saw, most probably shook him to his core.' Erza thought. 'I wonder what could it be? Might as well just ask him.'

"You okay?" Erza asked Tsuna who froze for a second before his head snapped towards her.

"Wh-What? Me?" Tsuna asked back before replying to Erza but looking at everything with a quick, critical eye. "Yeah yeah. I'm fine. Perfect. Ab-Abso-Absolutely peachy. Cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool."

'This… is weird.' Erza thought. 'Normally he always has some kind of sarcastic quip lined up for every situation.'

"Are you sure you're okay?" Erza asked again with the concern very much present. "You look like you're shaken. Did you see a nightmare?"

"Me? Nightmare?" Tsuna asked Erza as he pointed at himself before answering with a quip. "Nah, I'm good! Nightmares have nightmares about me! Hahahaha!"

"What happened?" Erza pressed. She wasn't buying any of Tsuna's theatrics right now because they were not his usual ones.

"I'm fine!" Tsuna insisted.

"Yes, and I'm blind." Erza retorted before saying, "We still have twenty minutes before we reach the main building, give me a short version of what happened."

"It ain't your business," Tsuna replied as he finally calmed down and got his bearings.

"It becomes my business if I see nothing but fear and panic in your eyes." Erza countered sharply before ordering, "Now tell me what this is about or I will convince the Master to confront you directly in front of everyone in the guild."

"You wouldn't," Tsuna stated while narrowing his eyes, as he tried calling her bluff out.

"Try me," Erza said and the two looked at each other for a minute before Tsuna conceded with a sigh.

"Fine. "But it's gonna be a very concise version. Okay?"

"As long it's something." Erza nodded.

"I… A long time ago, I lost a few people." Tsuna started before inhaling another deep breath. "I… cared about them. A lot."

"I see," Erza said while making sure not to interrupt Tsuna.

"But I wasn't dreaming about them. After I killed, no, erased the very existenceof every son of a bitch responsible for those guys' death as revenge, I moved on." Tsuna continued while not looking at Erza whose eyes had gone wide as she never thought that Tsuna could do something as drastic as erasing someone's existence. "But above them, were two people. One of them died with my old crew, but the other one… she was an angel too pure to become a victim of a cruel world I always tried shielding her from." Tsuna said while his mind replayed an old scene from the beginning of his waning years.

'There were such people in Tsuna's life?' Erza thought in surprise as she had basically been made privy to a type of information that she was one hundred percent sure she would never get under normal circumstances. Soon her mind started running at high speed as she tried to sort this information 'I wonder if Tsuki knows about these mystery people. But one of them was a 'she'… who could it have been? A lover? He does look like that type of guy. But even though he's always been a closet pervert, something tells me that the 'lover' he had for four months during his SS-Class Quest was his first one. And also, a cruel world? Well, the world is cruel. All those haves and have-nots, and all those types of groups under the sun. But I get a feeling that the cruel world Tsuna is talking about is something else entirely. Lastly,' old crew' and 'few people lost'? I do know that more than once Tsuna has mentioned that he, the Sheriff of Magnolia, Hayato Gokudera and Takeshi Yamamoto used to roll together. That means there were more people in the group. Maybe they died or were killed. But why? How? For what reason?' Erza thought before momentarily giving up for now. 'Ugh! I have too many questions and not enough answers.'

"My… apologies." Erza said after a short pause (AN:- Yeah, Erza's brain is really fast when it comes to tackling important information). "It might have been hard."

"You have no idea," Tsuna replied with a melancholy smile and Erza wondered if he was even speaking to her anymore. Tsuna's expression then turned into a sorrowful frown. "For me, it's as if it was just yesterday," Tsuna said as he remembered the windy evening all those years ago. The gay happiness that was in the air in front of the Teatro Dell' Opera di Roma. How all that happiness was pierced by a single gunshot. How his intuition failed to alert him. How she jumped to protect him. How he held her as took her last breaths before giving him a single smile while just saying, "I love you" before breathing her last. How the entire grieving process went from outright denial to…

Tsuna shook his head to clear the memory. He knew that if he let his thoughts continue, he would lock himself down to compartmentalize the grief and despair that would re-emerge with a vengeance. 'No. Right now I need to be focused.' Tsuna thought. 'I'll have to be on my A-game to trump those old farts of the Magic Council. The last thing I need is the old farts seeing through my state of mind.' With that thought, Tsuna kept himself focused by looking through the narrow slit that the law enforcement prisoner transport vans called a window and mentally calculating how much longer did he and Erza have to breathe fresh air. For a short while at least.

Courthouse, Magic Council Fiore Branch Compound

As Tsuna and Erza were lead in chains by the Rune Knights, who had taken over from Magnolia PD, a tall figure was casually standing by leaning on one of the marble pillars while being partially concealed by the shadow. Tsuna and Erza recognized him mainly for his atrociously blue hair and the crazy tattoo on his right eye. Tsuna was not at all surprised when Erza recoiled as her anger started to bubble on the surface. He did, however, take a deep breath because of the small drama that was about to unfold.

"Siegrain!" Erza gritted through clench teeth. Like the pansies they were, all the Rune Knights dropped into a one-kneed bow at Siegrain, a sitting Councilman of the Magic Council.

"Long time no see Erza." Siegrain easily said with a smirk on his face and giving her a mock two-fingered salute. "Now, don't keep your guard up like that. I mean you no harm."

"Tell me Councilman Siegrain." Tsuna interrupted before Erza would burst a blood vessel. "Why would the top brass of the Magic Council make their way to Fiore for something as boring as meting out punishments to two S-Class Mages for minor infractions?"

"Why shouldn't we?" Siegrain asked back with the smirk still on his face. Erza got more irritated the longer she saw it. Whereas, Tsuna decided to humour the Councilman in his game by giving a smirk of his own. This was not the first time he had dealt with pretentious and snobbish politicians after all. "After all, it is indeed the duty of the Magic Council to ensure justice prevails."

"Whose justice?" Tsuna asked again as he tried to trip up Siegrain. "The justice of the people of Ishgar you claim to serve and protect, or your own vile brand of it."

"How dare you—" One of the Rune Knights started in outrage before a single dismissive wave from Siegrain silenced him.

"We have known for a long time now that you are not a fan of the Magic Council, Mr. Sawada," Siegrain said. If his intention was to intimidate Tsuna, he failed at it.

"That's where you're mistaken, Councilman," Tsuna answered. "And please, call me Tsuna. Mr. Sawada was my father, Iemitsu Sawada."

"Am I?" Siegrain asked with a raised eyebrow. "Tsuna? Mistaken, that is."

"Indeed, you are," Tsuna replied before continuing. "After all, not only have I never hidden my feelings about the Magic Council, more than once I have openly stated that this vile and corrupt institution should be dissolved and all sitting Councilmen and women should be given the boot with a few scraps as a pension. You see I'm not a fan of the fact that my status as a mage means I have to pay a ridiculous rate of 10% as Magic Council tax for every earning in my jobs. That is with the taxes I already pay to the government because of the few commercial properties I own in Magnolia along with Fiore's own Mage Practioner Tax which is a considerably lesser pill to swallow with a rate of just 3%."

"Ooh. That's a scary thought over there Tsuna." Siegrain said with his smirk becoming even wider. For Erza it was truly becoming a test of patience to not strike Siegrain.

"I aim to please," Tsuna said with a disarming smile of his own. "Speaking of scary thoughts, I just remembered something from one of my first S-Class jobs a few years ago."

"And what would that be?" Siegrain asked in curiosity.

"The relishing feeling of how I slaughtered two entire divisions of the Rune Knights that were protecting a certain research facility that was owned and controlled by the Magic Council. To be more precise, it was managed by the obscure, but now defunct, Bureau of Magical Development or BMD for short." Tsuna elaborated and enjoyed the emotion that passed through Siegrain's eyes. He even noticed how the Rune Knights around him went rigid, which made Tsuna's sadistic urges drive the wedge deeper. He turned to Erza who had been conveniently ignored by Tsuna and Siegrain and said, "The BMD was a very unethical organization that dabbled in many things anyone from civilised society would call disgusting. They included, but were not limited to things such as human experimentation on subjects as young as three years old."

"You disgusting creeps!" Erza exclaimed in outrage.

"Oh but you can rest easy now Erza." Tsuna continued in enthusiasm. "My job was to basically investigate such places and imagine my surprise when I discovered that Fiore itself was apparently playing host to two dozen such illegal facilities that had been listed as 'educational institutes' in the Royal Archives."

"What happened after that?" Erza asked as she slowly understood Tsuna's gameplan and jumped on the opportunity to make Siegrain lose his composure, no matter how fleeting that moment would be.

"Well after I took down one of them, I was apprehended by the 27th, 28th, and the 29th Mountaineering Divisions of the 103rd Infantry Battalion of the Royal Army and was subjected to intense sessions of interrogation by the White Tigers' Division of the Fiore Special Service. Later on, I learned that the Magic Council was trying to go after my head as well but the military in effect saved me by not handing me over. God knows what would have happened to me of they did." Tsuna said dramatically before continuing. "Anyway, what followed after that was the most intense joint-investigation carried out on a massive scale by the Royal Ministry of Defence, the Royal Ministry of Internal Homeland Security and the Royal Central Bureau of Investigation, which was serving under the auspices of the Royal Ministry of Justice. Oh, local PD's were called in as well."

"Oh!" Erza replied with wide eyes as she further got into the act. "What happened in the end?"

"Everyone was rounded up and once there was enough evidence, they were all prosecuted, pronounced guilty, and were then hung until death," Tsuna replied as he then looked at Siegrain who now had an amused smile on his face, which made Tsuna internally pout. "After all, heinous crimes like human experimentation are punishable by death, you know."

"I do know," Siegrain said. "After all, that incident made the Magic Council lose so much face. Even the other countries in Ishgar opened formal investigations against the BMD, which forced the Magic Council to disavow all knowledge of its existence. Well, I have to give you credit, Tsuna. You made those old farts lose their balls."

"They never had any. Those old fucks." Tsuna snorted.

"It indeed was an enlightening conversation but I'm afraid I shall be taking my leave now, Tsuna, Erza. I shall see the two of you in the courtroom." Siegrain said before, with a quick step he went to Erza and cupped her chin with his fingers before leaning close and whispering in her ear, "I saw through your act, Erza. You're a terrible liar. Just make sure you don't tell the geezers about that. After all, it's for your own good."

"Shut up and fuck off," Erza ordered cooly which made Siegrain back up, especially once he felt the heavy glare and slowly rising killing intent emanating from Tsuna.

"Very well," Siegrain said as he turned away from the group and made his way down the hall. "I shall see the two of you in Courtroom 1 in 30 minutes. Until then, please do enjoy our holding cells." With that, Siegrain turned a corner while thinking, 'Don't you dare interfere Erza. I've already made it all the way here. It goes for you too Tsunayoshi Sawada. Failure to comply would mean that the consequences would be quite… severe.'

Meanwhile, Tsuna just gave a smirk before addressing Erza. "Man, your ex-boyfriend sure is evil, isn't he?" He was very much aware of what Siegrain meant by that, and Tsuna had to give him credit on saying it in front of him.

"While I shall consciously ignore the part of such a repulsive person being my 'ex-boyfriend', which he's not. You are right, he's 'evil'!" Erza said with a hard glare to the corner where Siegrain turned while the Rune Knights looked on in confusion.

"Yeeeaaahhh, yeeeaaahhh." Tsuna dragged.

"It's yeah and it's said only once." Erza chastised with an annoyed look. However, her face changed into a softer expression as she addressed Tsuna. "But thank you."

"Hm?" Tsuna asked. "Thank you? For what?"

"You deliberately had such an argument to prevent me from losing my cool. Thank you." Erza said with gratitude. "Seeing him always makes my blood boil, but your conversation completely distracted me from it. Thanks."

"Exactly," Tsuna said while the duo was lead into separate holding cells where they could at least talk to each other. After removing the chains but only leaving a pair of strong magic-sealing handcuffs and locking them in their cells, the Rune Knights left the holding cells area. Both mages knew they would be back in a while anyway to collect them for their trial anyway. "That fiery temper of yours would have landed you in serious trouble. A wrong sentence here, a wrong move there, and next thing you know they'll really stick a criminal record on your ledger."

"I know." Erza agreed before smiling. "At least it won't be as bad as Natsu's."

"That dumb kid," Tsuna muttered audibly enough for Erza to hear. "Whatever happened to the charges of property destruction the Hargeon authorities got against him?"

"They slapped a fine on him," Erza replied. "But if he continues like this, I won't be surprised if someone does actually bring in a serious prosecution against him."

"And looking at Natsu's extremely destructive behavior, I won't be surprised if someday they throw his ass into prison, most probably Area 96. That's where all the bad apples and the major repeat offenders go. Mage or no mage."

"Is it really that bad?" Erza asked with a raised eyebrow when she heard the name of Fiore's most notorious prison mentioned from Tsuna's mouth.

"It's awful," Tsuna replied. "Even if he spends six months there, he will have a haunted look for the entirety of his life."

"Last I checked Fiore has laws on how the prisons must be run." Erza countered.

"Tell that to the most underfunded department of the Royal Ministry of Justice," Tsuna replied.

"Which is?" Erza pressed.

"His Majesty's Department of Prison and Probation Services' Prisons Section," Tsuna replied. "They are barely scraping through. Word is, they are only given the exact amount of how much is nominally required. If riots break out in any prison, the guards are authorized to use deadly force. If it were me, I would take the Magic Council's prisons any day than Fiore's."

"And Area 96 is the worst why again?" Erza asked again. She realized that she asked a lot of questions on this fine day.

"No one who enters that prison will leave the same way. If they're lucky to leave that is." Tsuna said. "The only thing worse than Area 96 is Fiore's prison hulks."

"Oh…" Erza said. Of course, she was very well aware of the atrocities that took place in the Prison Hulks. The Kingdom of Fiore actually had an entire island in the middle of the Great Ocean that housed only prison hulks, and if a convict was sent there, he or she was truly never coming back.

"But Natsu has the luck of the devil. Something tells me no one would like to see him spend jail time. I guess we'll just have to beat it into him that anymore of that nonsense won't really be tolerated once he turns 18."

"Oh yeah!" Erza remembered. "He'll be turning 18 next year!"

"Yep." All the more reason to beat the fact that, starting next year he'll be tried as an adult, into him.

Soon, the team of Rune Knights returned and unlocked the doors of the holding cells and once again put chains on them, however, it was not the same amount as the ones before. Soon, Erza and Tsuna were standing in Courtroom 1 and in front of the top brass of the Magic Council. 'Oh boy. This is gonna be fun.'

Tsuna was proven right sometime later, but not in the way he was expecting. Just as the President of the Magic Council (Tsuna was a hundred percent sure that man did not have even a lick of legal training) was about to give his judgment, Natsu burst in with wearing what looked to be the most ridiculous armour he had ever seen. Actually, Tsuna was a hundred percent sure that he stole it from one of the display suits of armour that littered the entire compound of the Fiore Branch of the Magic Council. However, the biggest shock to Tsuna was when Hayato, Takeshi, and Lambo entered after Natsu and all of them bearing a high-powered rifle, a katana, and a kunai respectively. All of them were behaving like hooligans and idiots. 'Old man! You had one job for God's sake!' Tsuna shouted mentally while cursing Master Makarov's name while Erza and the Councilmen and women looked on in shock. In the end, the President of the Magic Council just ordered them to be remanded in the holding cells for the night, which forced Erza and Tsuna to apologize for their guildmates' actions.

Sometime later. Magic Council Courthouse Holding Cell.

"Boss! We apologise for our actions!" Hayato yelled while doing a dogeza-style bow towards Tsuna whilst they were all in the cell together.

"I'm not going to ask you why… Just tell me how." Tsuna said as he took a deep sigh.

"Well, Master Makarov told us to calm down as he knew that you two won't even get a slap on the wrist and that the Magic Council just wanted to show that they still had things under control, but we just couldn't sit still," Takeshi replied with a serious look in his face.

"The nerve of those bastards!" Hayato yelled in outrage. "To think they can try to use the boss and Erza as objects just for setting a bloody example!"

"Yeah yeah," Tsuna called. "Skip that. How did you guys manage to get out of the building anyway? I'm one-hundred percent sure the old man wouldn't let you guys do something as stupid as this."

"That's where I-Pin came in," Lambo replied this time.

"Oh?" Tsuna asked.

"She used a low-level, optical illusion Genjutsu to make everyone think we're there. Not for too long though, but just enough time for us to get away. Meanwhile, Macao transformed himself into a lizard to pretend he was Natsu." Lambo explained.

"Well, that's pretty smart of her." Erza praised.

"Well, I-Pin is an S-Class level shinobi who has a bounty in our Bingo Books," Lambo said. "Unleashing a Genjutsu to fool everyone including the Master for 30 minutes is child's play for her."

"I have no idea what that means, but from S-Class, I gather that I-Pin is very strong then? At least on the same level as me and Tsuki." Erza asked Lambo as she tried to decipher the meaning of his previous statement.

"Yeah," Lambo replied before giving Erza the victory sign. "By the way, even I have a similar bounty on my head as well."

"Why on Earthland would you be proud to have a bounty?!" Natsu and Erza asked together in surprise.

"For them, it means that they're a force to be reckoned with." Tsuna butted in. "It also means that their potential bounty hunter will have to take them seriously and not underestimate them. I've seen the Bingo Book that is circulated in the Oriental Continent's Criminal Underworld and these two are on the higher tier of the S-Class Bounties list."

"That… sounds pretty cool." Natsu said.

"Cuz it is fool," Tsuna replied. "I'm pretty sure even you, Erza and I have bounties on our heads."

"W-We do?!" Erza asked in surprise as this was the first time she had even considered such a possibility.

"Definitely," Tsuna confirmed. "Any successful mage worth their salt has a bounty on their head. Except I've never seen such a list. Takeshi, Hayato, what do you guys think?"

"Well, Eisenwald was a dark guild, but not too deep in the Criminal Underworld of Ishgar, no matter how they posed themselves. But I'm pretty sure if we dig around, our contacts will find something." Takeshi replied. "What say you, Hayato?"

"Fool, I'm pretty sure the Boss is up there with the big ones!" Hayato said.

"What about me?!" Erza and Natsu asked together.

"Dunno." Hayato and Takeshi replied together with a shrug, disappointing the other two mages.

"Whatever, let's go to sleep y'all," Tsuna announced as he started yawning. "They'll let us out in the morning anyway."

"Sure~." Everyone called as they decided to get some shuteye. However, unknown to them, Councilman Siegrain was standing in a far corner while being covered by the shadow and was smirking as if Christmas, Easter and his Birthday came early and at once.

'I see. You were at Fairy Tail after all… Natsu Dragneel.'

AN: Heyo! So, how was this chapter? I made sure to put not one, but two fights! How did you like that?! As for the ending of Tsuna and Lucy's fight, I got the idea from Assassination Classroom, which I was seeing a few days ago. Also, how did you like Takeshi and Erza's fight? I know that the fights aren't as action-packed as you or I hope, but hey, I suck at writing fight-scenes but I try my best. Just in case you're wondering I'm fleshing out Fiore's government, legal system and it's military as well. Mainly cuz I thought it would be fun. A few chapters down the line I may even hint at Fiore's foreign relations as well mainly because when I look at its location, I honestly can't accept the fact that Fiore's a neutral country. Yes, I may even hint at a few wars of the past and may even show a war or so before the conflict with the Alvarez Empire in the finale. Yes, I-Pin and Lambo are S-Class level shinobis with bounties on the bingo books. More on that next chapter. Also, before you ask about how Tsuna could get away with openly saying that he slaughtered the Rune Knights in front of a sitting Magic Council member and a squad of Rune Knights, I'll just say that Tsuna was cleared by the Courts of Fiore and they even passed an order which prohibited the Magic Council from arresting Tsuna for this case. It's kinda plot-convenient, but it is what it is. See you next time, Ciao ciao.
