Disclaimer: I do now own NCIS

Two years later

Ziva opened the door to the apartment and hung up her bag and coat. It was February and chilly in DC. The sound of feet running towards her alerted Ziva that she wasn't alone.

'Ima!' Tali flung her arms around Ziva's legs.

'Hi Tali.' Ziva bent down and picked Tali up.

'Miss Ima' said Tali, hugging her mother.

'Miss Tali too' replied Ziva. 'Where is Daddy?' Tali pointed into the apartment and they went into the living room. Tony was sitting on the sofa, toys scattered across the floor.

'Hey guys' said Tony, smiling.

'Hi.' Ziva sat down, putting Tali between her parents. Ziva leaned over and kissed Tony.

'How was class?' Ziva smiled.

'It was good, thanks. How was work?'

'Also good.'

Tali handed a toy car to Ziva.

'Thank you Tali. Did you have fun with Papa?' Tali nodded. She babbled away at what she and Papa did, playing with her toys.

Tali was now two years old and the three of them lived in DC. Ziva was studying at Georgetown University, hoping to major in Linguistics and minor in either Comparative Literature or History. Ziva worked part time as a tutor, mainly in the various languages she spoke.

Tony now worked at the office for Veteran Affairs. It was admin work mainly, helping veterans access the benefits that they are entitled to. Tony's experience with the Navy and NCIS gave him an understanding of veterans that they liked at the interview. Tony worked four days a week and was enjoying his new role, even if he complained about tedious paperwork. He was also working on his application to grad school. Tony and Ziva did briefly consider going to school at the same time, but worried about the pressure it might put on their little family.

Tali crawled into Ziva's lap.

'Love Ima' said Tali.

'Aww, love Tali' replied Ziva. Tony cleared his throat.

'What about me?' Ziva smiled and looked at Tali.

'What about Daddy?' she asked. Tali smiled.

'Love Daddy' she said in a happy tone, almost jumping out of Ziva's arms and onto Tony.

'Love you too, Tali' he replied.

Tali was a very happy two-year-old. On the days that Tony worked, Tali would spend the day with Senior. When Tony, Ziva, and Tali moved back to DC over the summer, Senior moved as well. He came to Israel as often as he could, but Senior missed his family very much whenever he went back to New York. Senior jumped the chance to be near his beloved family. It was Senior who suggested that he look after Tali whilst Tony was at work. It would save Tony and Ziva some money (childcare is ridiculously expensive) and Tali and Senior would get to spend time together.

Life was good. It had been for the past few years. They continued to rent out Tony's apartment, as it was not possible for a family of three with a growing toddler to live in it. They also rented out the Tel Aviv apartment and the Haifa house, all three giving a very good income. Ziva was also considering renting out the farmhouse as a vacation rental but was still a little unsure. The farmhouse was different, held different emotions and memories that the other places. Tony reminded Ziva that they had plenty of time to decide what to do.

'Hun-gee Ima' said Tali.

'Are you, little one?' said Ziva, brushing Tali's hair out of her face. 'Shall we have dinner?'

'Yes please' replied Tony and Tali. Ziva chuckled.

'Do you want to help?' she asked Tali, who bounced up and down with excitement.

Ziva and Tali went into the kitchen to make dinner. Both Tony and Ziva particularly liked the Montessori method and had set up their apartment accordingly, including a toddler learning tower in the kitchen.

Tony was sitting on the sofa, reading. It was something that had rubbed off on to him from just spending more time with Ziva. He used to read quite a bit but life got in the way and reading seemed less important than other things.

Ziva came out of the bathroom and sat down next to him.

'Tali asleep?' asked Tony. Ziva nodded. Tali was tucked up in her floor bed, Kelev next to her. The floor bed was another element of Montessori.

Tony went back to his book.

'Tony?' asked Ziva.

'Huh?'

'I am late.'

'What do you mean?' Tony wasn't paying attention.

'My period, Tony. It is late.' That caught his attention.

'You're late?' he asked, wanting confirmation. Ziva nodded.

'So, on the way home I bought this from the pharmacy.' Ziva held up a pregnancy test. 'I just did it now.'

'And?'

Ziva handed Tony the test. He turned it over and saw quite clearly a plus sign.

'It's positive' he said, very quietly. Ziva nodded.

'I am pregnant Tony.'

Tony threw his book down onto the floor and pulled Ziva close to him. He kissed her passionately.

'God, I love you' he said.

'I love you too' replied Ziva. 'Tali is going to be a big sister.'

'Yes, she is. A bossy big sister probably.' Ziva laughed. 'It's going to sound cheesy, but I'm the luckiest man alive to have you and Tali.' Ziva smiled and leaned forward to kiss Tony.

'We are lucky to have you, Tony.' They kissed again.

'So, what are we going to do now?' asked Tony. Ziva raised an eyebrow. 'What about school? What about the apartment? Do we need to move?'

Ziva thought for a second.

'I guess I will take a year out, perhaps. I think I am due in September, so I could go back when the baby is year old. I do not think we will have to move just yet, though. I think the apartment is big enough.'

'Ok' said Tony, struggling to take the smile off his face. He draped an arm around Ziva's shoulders. 'We're having another baby, Zi.' Ziva laughed.

'We're having another baby.'

Hope you liked it. Thanks for reading.

That's a wrap folks. Thank you to everyone who read and reviewed. It really does mean a lot.

I hope wherever you are, you are safe and alright, and hopefully, fanfiction of all kind is giving some sort of relief from the current situation we are all in. I'm going to keep writing as it helps to distract me from anything remotely stressful.

Stay safe and see you soon :)
