Another chapter, and the end of the "Alien Conquerors" Arc!

So, this is the chapter of the battle between Boros and Saitama, and one that I really feel like I should write in a unique way, because I feel like the things that I want to connect here isn't just the battle itself, but especially the way that it affects so many people in the anime, and how it just...moves the story in such a way that really helps it shine. Still, I'm slightly concerned I won't do it justice. Wish me luck!

Original release date: March 11, 2020

"Miss Tatsumaki!" I heard Genos call out to me. "Fubuki and I saw something, and I think you should stop and come with! It's most likely going to decide the fate of the ship!"

I growled, slightly annoyed with the cyborg that had just been searching through the archives for the last half hour looking for anything on the Monster Association since I told him to, "What is it, cyborg? Have you found something on the monster guys or what? Anything that seems- Wait, who the fuck told you that you can just call my sister Fubuki instead of something formal like you always do? You call everyone the most formal bullshit around!"

"Sis, it's okay!" Fubuki stammered, slightly embarrassed. "I told him that he could since he's always so tense and all that! I thought it might be nice for him to relax a little bit!"

I raised my eyebrow, thinking very differently of her intentions; yeah, her blush said it all; I still steamrolled, not regarding it any further, "Sure, sure, but what did you want to show me?"

"I'm nearly certain that Saitama-Sensei may have found the leader of this invasion, and it seems the invader is actually able to survive multiple of his normal punches," Genos interrupted, and I instantly felt extreme doubt. "I am aware, it sounds near-impossible, but it is certainly what I had witnessed. Fubuki, you can vouch for me, correct?" She nodded in hesitant agreement, slightly disbelieving of it.

"Damn, guess I gotta go see for myself. Could one of you get Bang for me, please? I'll meet you guys at the top of the Hero Association building," I asked, even though my voice was clearly impatient. As the two of them headed off, I started flying up to the top of the tower before a huge-ass shard of the ship flew at me at a scary speed.

"The fuck?!" I nearly screamed in shock, barely reacting in time to stop it from hitting me. "Fuck is this shit?!" I immediately looked in the direction of the ship and saw entire chains of explosions going off at the top of the ship.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, were they really telling the truth? I flew quicker up to the peak of the ship, being aware of anything that might have been flying towards me. Instead of just stopping them because I know damn well that if I focused on stopping them so fast I probably wouldn't have made it to the top, I just flew as fast as I could and dodged anything that came close to me, leading them all to collide with the tower. They all smashed into the tower and I saw cracks start to show on the outside of the tower. Damn, this shit's really happening, isn't it?

When I made it to the top of the tower, my first priority wasn't even the stuff going on at the top, but making sure that my sister and my friend's damn apprentice didn't get themselves killed. I instantly brought out my phone and called Genos, since I don't think he's missed a call ever since I met him.

"Cyborg! Take the elevator!" I commanded, listening close for his voice over the deafening blasts of the explosions and shrapnel. "Why? Don't you fucking see?! There are huge ass explosive shards flying at the tower and if I almost got hit by one, I don't want you, Bang, or especially my little sister to get hurt at all! Got it?!"

I could hear his confused voice come from the phone, probably really surprised by my concern, "As you wish, Miss Tatsumaki." As he ended the call and I put my phone back in my pocket, I stared back at the ship, which was still exploding for the most part.

Shit, what's going on over there? How long is this going to keep happening? I need to see for myself! What if he needs help?

"Miss Tatsumaki," Bang greeted, before noticing the situation in front of him. "What's that?!" He questioned, confused.

"I think Saitama and the leader of this ship are fighting," Fubuki explained. "I mean, this thing's been going on for a few minutes, and the explosions are just...everywhere. It's like what Tatsumaki was doing, but all over the top of the ship instead of the bottom."

"Are you certain that it's Saitama that's fighting and not something that has to do with what Miss Tatsumaki was doing? I apologize, though I haven't seen anything that survived one of Saitama's punches, even if they had regenerative abilities," Bang prodded, curious.

If there wasn't anything weirder than that, it was as if something listened to him, since the explosions just stopped then. I took the opportunity and flew closer to it, cautious for anything that would happen if I wasn't watching out.

Wait, is that him?!

Shit, they were right. It's the baldy, just fighting this weird alien-looking thing. And the alien? It doesn't even look like it took a single punch from him. Fuck, I didn't think it was possible. Not even the meteor could survive what he did, and that...that thing is just standing there like nothing can stop it.

"You're strong!" The monster called out excitedly. "You're the first one to survive going toe-to-toe with me this long, Saitama!" He took a battle stance, and I could just feel the energy coming off of him. It was like he was a supercharged bomb just waiting to explode at any moment. In response, Saitama...seemed like he was just standing there. On guard.

On guard? Is that possible for him? Or is he just taking this too seriously? No, he wouldn't. If he fought with all his strength, I don't think that monster would still be alive. Then why is he waiting? I couldn't keep up with the fight as they kept going and charging up their energy.

"If I hit you with this massive burst of energy, not even your bones will remain!" The monster called. Blasting out his charged energy from that center eye of his in his chest, I was almost knocked back by the sheer force that came from him in a shockwave, and was forced to make a barrier to protect myself. Fuck, what's this thing made of?

I stared at the laser in a bit of awe as it carved through the horizon, destroying parts of the monster's own ship and going way further than that, seemingly not stopping. The ship began to sink a little bit, and I realized that the monster was willing to sacrifice anything for this fight, and he wasn't going to wait any longer.

Wait, where'd he go? He's not there anymore!

As I started flying closer to the ship, trying to take him on myself, I nearly got knocked back again by the sheer shockwave of the monster's movement and jumped back to avoid anything hitting me again. Turning to my left, tracking him the best I could, I saw him seemingly teleport right next to Saitama, moving so fast it was like he wasn't even there.

"Behind you!" He called out, throwing a punch to the back of his neck. And it wasn't like the Deep Sea King. It wasn't like that Vaccine creature. It wasn't like the meteor, Carnage Kabuto, that ninja he told me about, those thugs rampaging one of the cities that he happened to come across. None of them even compared to this...this freak, this alien, this...Monster.

When that...monster hit Saitama, he did something that I've never seen anyone do.

His punch moved Saitama, all the way to the point where his head AND body tilted towards the direction of the punch.

"It's over," I heard Boros say. "You fought well, but you have no chance.

"My species survived the harshest of conditions on our home planet, and thus, we gained unmatched regenerative abilities," he continued. "Even the most fatal of wounds to you would be but a scratch to me...even this destroyed arm...comes back brand new!"

To show, he just...splurted an arm out of his cut off shoulder. Gross. I kept hearing him rant and rant, saying stuff about how I'll just keep getting injured as he just keeps healing, all that stuff...

"Shut up," I near commanded, somewhat weary. "Are you done yet?"

Wait a minute, is that Tats? Why's she here? She shouldn't be here. Well, I guess I'll just keep hitting him and she'll probably get out of the way.

"Not yet!" Boros boomed, another wave of energy blasting towards me. His skin turned pink as more energy just emitted from him, his body just unable to keep his raw power inside of him. Damn, he really is strong, isn't he?

"Meteoric Burst!" He called out, instantly charging towards me. I felt myself being shot backwards with the wind blurring in front of me, seeing him charge with his fist cocked back. Everything was moving in a blur but I could still see and feel the near infinite amount of punches hitting me at that point.

"This is my strongest form, and I will show you the raw power I have!" He called out as he hit me with another punch. "With this massive increase in energy, my mind, body, and power increase exponentially, allowing me to fight to my very strongest! Feel my POWER!" He declared, smashing me downwards towards the ship. As I crashed into the ship, he landed with a loud thud as I stood up from the crater he made by sending me down. Well, at least he'll be dealing with a bunch of repairs if he survived.

"You've done well to last this long!" He chuckled. "Out of the myriad beings I have fought, none have even survived a single punch from me!" Sounds familiar, actually.

"This journey was worthwhile, but I assure you that I will find what I am looking for in a worthy battle...by defeating you!" He finished, beginning to charge up another attack and burst of energy before he noticed something...well, someone, really.

"Well, well, well," he chuckled ominously. "Another inhabitant of your planet, Saitama? I am incredibly surprised that they were even able to make it up here. Usually, only Groribas, Geryuganshoop, and Melzargard were able to reach up here alone without other assistance and your planet eliminated all three. Well, then this lady here must also be a strong combatant, is she not?" I was confused for a moment, before I turned towards where he was facing. Tats.

Fuck. He was going to try to fight her too. I couldn't let that happen, no matter how strong Tats was. I'm not giving him a chance to change who he's fighting.

"Needed assistance, did you? No, you would choose to fight this alone," he deduced. "Then she must have come up here of her own volition...I see. I can feel the raw telekinetic power irradiate from her, far superior to that of Geryuganshoop. I am impressed. Your planet really does possess extreme power, the elite such as yourself having power rivalling of the elite that I have met. An unheard of feat, though I shall ensure that your planet's name goes down in history as one of the strongest. Now, I suppose...

"I should introduce her to the same power you have met!" Charging up what seemed to be an even stronger attack, the strongest he had seemed to have thus far, he launched himself at Tats, looking to hit her with his knee.

Before I could even think, I ran as fast as I could in front of Tatsumaki, taking the hit for her, being launched upwards at a rate I didn't even know someone could launch me. I saw the entire planet zoom out as my back made contact with something, but I didn't know what.

"It seems that he has taken the blow for you," I noted, gazing up at this planet's moon. "A rather heroic feat, though one that he could have easily survived. An unfortunate side effect, for he was much stronger and deserved a climactic death." I looked down at the girl and saw her staring at the moon as well, as if she didn't even hear that I had just that.

"Hmm..." I continued. "He may not be dead after all. If he was able to survive all of my blows and still run this quickly to have saved you, I doubt that blow would have completely obliterated him." Was it out of sympathy? I doubt it, but there was this sense in me that this girl was heavily perturbed. Perhaps I owed it to this planet that had given me the fight I wanted for to do so.

"Well...perhaps I should exit this form...similar to anaerobic exercise, this form places a heavy strain on my body, one that takes quite a while to recover from. As such, I only use it for last resorts," I finished, beginning to walk away from her.

"Saitama!" She called out, extremely worried, floating upwards as if trying to get a closer look. I almost felt actual emotion for her, as she would likely not see him from the upper limit of this atmosphere. Turning away, I began to walk towards the throne room of my ship in satisfaction before a massive thud came from behind me.

"What was that?" I questioned, before seeing the familiar silhouette of Saitama. He had survived, and had jumped from the moon all the way to here. And the expression that he wore...it was far different from what I had seen previously.

It was the expression of a man truly ready for combat, ready to kill, as if avenging something. Like his primal instinct was awakening and he was truly ready to fight back.

Now I know why he didn't throw as many punches as he could have during my initial meteor burst. He, too, was dissatisfied with the fights beforehand. He had no reason to fight then, but I must have provoked him. But what did I do exactly to ignite that flame of anger, this sheer aura of intensity that was clearly of a different league than what I saw before?

Wait. That girl. I provoked him by attacking her. She was the key in this prophecy of mine, the cornerstone of this battle, the culmination of this battle. She was the one that was needed to make this a true battle, true combat, the epitome of a clash of gods.

And she is the key to this man's potential, the wall behind his power, the reason for his fighting now. He fights to protect her here. An interesting observation at the moment, but one that certainly helps me.

For now, this is a true battle.

Because this man...he makes me want to go all out!

Without any further hesitation, I began charging at Saitama again, sending a flurry of blows directly into him. I could feel my animalistic senses taking over, instinct overpowering reason as adrenaline rushed through me endlessly.

This...this was what it's like to fight! That high that true warriors search for! I've found it!

And this time, Saitama didn't hold back, sending a punch into me that sent me propelling backwards, blood spurting out of me. His face was far more aggressive as I was launched, before flipping back where I could land properly. I chuckled darkly, excited to a degree unknown. He had held the spirit of true power within him, one I could not wait to defeat.

"That's it, Saitama," I encouraged. "You...are indeed worth defeating." However, I could not speak any more as I saw another flurry of red gloves flash in front of me. The sheer speed of the fists splitting my very body, the air around him moving around, sounding like a galaxy-sized tornado, his fists seemingly merging into one massive spinning tube of death was a feeling unheard of, the pain exhilarating, the combat between equals one I had been longing for.

"Killer Move Series: Consecutive Normal Punches," I heard him utter as his punches slowed down, leaving him standing there while I saw that the girl was in the background, somewhat watching our battle.

By sheer will, not allowing shock to take hold of me, and reformed, crystals forming around me before shattering in bursts of energy. I knew that he wasn't even trying to protect himself, and not even his planet at that point. When he jumped in front of that girl, I knew that his aura had changed for one reason.

He wasn't trying to protect the Earth. He was protecting the girl who mattered most to him.

"Killer Move...Normal Punches? Fine...I'll show you the true meaning of power, Saitama!" I blasted, jumping higher into the sky as my chest began to glow a different hue. "I'll show you my own killer move, one that'll wipe you and the rest of this planet into nothingness, wiping the surface of Earth into nothing but a blank slate, a reminder of this attack!"

"Releasing all of my energy, I'll slaughter you and blast this planet to hell!" I could feel every piece of my body split apart, struggling to even hold itself together, but it was worth it. Right now, doing anything for this battle was more than worth it. "Roaring Star, Collapsing Cannon!"

Every single piece of me was leaving my body, my mind and soul devoting itself to this one attack. As the hero ran to protect the girl, an expression of determination on his face, I saw the laser fly towards him at an alarming rate. I was able to see one thing: that he too was willing to put more into this, his drive evoked.

"Get behind me, Tats, I got this," he uttered. "Well, I have a finishing move too."

The fucking moment I saw Saitama just dive in from the goddamn MOON, I knew that something was up with him. I just...felt like he looked and had this different sort of feel to him.

I mean, that, and I think I'm fucking frozen in fear. I seriously don't think I can even move right now. You know the goddamn feeling where everything just...freezes? That just fucking happened because the strength that I saw in that Vaccine guy...I don't even think he'd hold a goddamn candle to this...alien freak.

If it weren't for Saitama, I'd be fucking dead...holy fuck, man...would that have really been it?

God, I'm so grateful for the baldy sometimes.

That was a goddamn rollercoaster of emotions, seeing my best friend just get launched up into the moon and then come back down like it was nothing, and he seemed so much more pissed than before when he's always apathetic? Fuck me, man. Wait, not like that.

"Saitama, are you okay?!" I questioned, somewhat frantic. "You just fucking got knocked to the moon! You can't tell me you're fine after that!" At that point, I didn't even care that he had taken the hit for me, but whether or not he'd even be able to take the hit. I knew he was super strong, but a hit to the moon? It just didn't seem like anyone would be able to live through that.

"Don't worry, Tats. I'm fine," he responded quietly, barely focusing on me. "Get away from me, quick. He's gonna attack again." As I looked where Saitama was, I saw that alien-freak beginning to charge at him with a really bloodshot eye. Just by instinct, I listened to Saitama and instantly backed up, seeing Fubuki and the others in my peripherals. Were they just watching all of this? Who knew, who cared, I'm not going to get killed today.

I saw another burst of bright pink fly right by me, but this time he didn't even try to attack me as I saw him send a nearly infinite amount of punches towards Saitama. I tried to get in my own attack, surrounding the monster and trying to stop him in his tracks, but I don't even think it stopped him.

I have no idea if I couldn't control him or not, but I couldn't even track where he was. How was I supposed to take control of something too fast for me to even focus my power on? It's just too fast for me to track.

And honestly...I don't even know if I could stop that power. It's really fucking hard to say, but I don't think I'd be able to stop that thing from moving too much. I can only stop a certain amount of energy and power from moving, depending on how strong the thing is, and I can stop a shit ton of stuff. Meteors, monsters, nearly everything.

But something that can send one of the few people I respect into the moon? It just seems...insane.

I had no fucking clue how Saitama could even fight that thing either, especially since he's super strong and fast, but doesn't do shit. Speaking of...he seems a lot more serious now. Before I got there, it seemed like he didn't give a shit about what the monster was doing, but now? He's got the most serious expression I've seen on him...like he's angry at him for some reason, but I have no idea what for.

Maybe it was being sent into the moon that did him in, like it tore something in his costume? Maybe he's annoyed that he had to jump in front of me because it got his outfit damaged? I have no fucking clue.

And yet, he's still strong enough to find where the alien is and punch him. I could only stare as I saw the alien fly from the end of the ship to the other, and instantly flew to Saitama in that spare time.

"Are you sure you're okay, Baldy?!" I called out to him, getting a bit more worried. "You just got back from the moon!"

He didn't even take the time to respond to me, already charging over to the alien before I could keep up.

"Killer Series: Consecutive Normal Punches," I heard him utter, way too serious for someone like him. Even when the alien reformed, he seemed on guard, serious, waiting for what he'd do. I went up to him again, concerned. It was a whole different side of Saitama, as if he was being protective. Like he was trying to guard something close to him. And it couldn't have been the supermarket. He was guarding the Earth. I don't think there's something he could be more serious about.

And even though the alien survived another onslaught of what seemed like just a whole ass tornado of punches, and formed again, it was like the two were really just going to work in their own worlds.

"I'll show you my killer move, one that'll wipe you and the rest of this planet into nothingness, wiping the surface of the Earth into nothing but a blank slate, a reminder of this attack! Releasing all of my energy, I'll blast you and this planet to hell!" A planet-busting attack? Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

What do I even do to that? Do I try to run? Do I try to stop it? I can't move! Fuck! Even though I'm doing my best to move out of the way, to do anything, I physically can't move myself away from the attack. My legs are frozen.

Is this what it's like to be truly afraid? To be at death's door? Fuck, man, I can't even believe I'm thinking up some sappy shit like this. This isn't me! But I can't do anything! What am I supposed to do?!

Before I could even get hit by the laser, and way before I could even try to make a move, Saitama steps in front of me and says, "Get behind me, Tats. I got this," before staring at the planet-destroying laser. "I've got a finishing move too."

Why did I feel this...rage, this anger, this sense of...concern? Even as I took the hits from Boros, even as I was sent flying backwards from his lasers and energy attacks, I didn't feel much. He was really strong, I'll give him that, but he didn't do anything wrong, and not much to make me feel like fighting at my strongest.

And yet...I felt a sense to fight my hardest. One that was calling out to me, even though I completely knew that I wouldn't need to. I knew that fighting my hardest was something that was completely unnecessary right now, and that nothing dramatic was gonna happen.

But I still felt this anger, this sense of protection, this sense to protect something. The World? My friends? My family, who I haven't seen in years? My apartment? It can't be them. I don't think I'd really lose too much. Sure, I care about all of them, but it's all just sort of...been a temporary fill for that desire to fight someone that makes me give it my all.

Tats?

Maybe. I mean, she's probably my best friend. That's different than a friend, right? I know that I'm closer to her as a friend than Genos, especially since Genos is my apprentice, but it feels weird to know that I have a best friend, in a way.

And maybe I did feel a sense to protect her, even though she's one of the strongest people I know. And maybe I felt a sense to fight my hardest because of her.

But why?

Why do I feel this desire, this hatred, this anger, this protectiveness? Why did I feel so...heated when I landed back on the ship? Why is Boros trying to hurt her? Why is she even up here in the first place?

I honestly don't know. I don't know a lot right now. Why I'm thinking like this in a battle, why I'm thinking so...deeply, why I feel different than normal, why I feel like I'm not myself...but feeling like myself at the same time.

So, when I see Boros go up and declare that his next attack's going to destroy the entire planet? That he's going to destroy everything I know?

Well, by instinct, I sprint in front of Tats, and grit my teeth. I clench my fist, and get myself ready to show everyone what I haven't done in years, what I haven't had to do in any battle in the last year and a half. This sense...

This sense of power within me...this drive to fight...what is it? This...isn't someone so powerful that I have to give it my all. This isn't a life-or-death situation that would mean that I could die. This isn't a fight that would make my heart race, my soul fight, and my mind go numb as everything I can think of turns into fighting.

This isn't the fight I've been looking for, honestly.

And still...I feel the need to do this, to release this...power of mine, this strength that's just searching for another person to fight me.

"Well, I've got a finishing move too." I take a fighting stance, cocking my fist back as the laser closes the distance.

"Killer Move, Serious Series: Serious Punch," I say, splitting the laser in two and creating the largest shockwave I had made in a while, using more power than I thought I would ever need to use in the last few years.

The punch splits the laser apart, making it useless as the force of my punch splits the clouds, making the biggest shockwave I think possible. I glance behind me for a moment and see Tats in awe, even though her knees are somewhat shaking.

As the ship begins to fall back onto the ground, onto all that debris, I see Boros begin to fall towards it, his body withered. The crash doesn't even faze me or Tats as I walk up to where Boros was falling as Tats seems to go get the others.

When I finally see him, I walk a bit past his withered form, his regenerative ability worn out since he used all his energy on that attack.

"Did I...lose?" I hear him mutter, surprising me completely. Now that I listen in, I can hear his extremely faint breathing.

"You're still conscious?" I ask, glancing back at his body, before looking back out at the clear sky. "You really are strong." I honestly am impressed; I didn't expect him to even have a body left to speak.

"As the prophecy said," he murmurs. "...it was a challenging fight." I can tell now that he's rambling, getting his last few words out. Maybe this fight really was what he was looking for. God, if only I could have found the same fight like he did.

"Yeah...it really was," I agree, seeing that the others are on the ground now while I'm still up here with Boros. Surprising me again, I hear him quietly chuckle. His breaths are more ragged now, and I can feel the life draining out of him.

He laughs quietly, "Heh...you lie..." He caught me. I turn around and face his body, his mouth barely moving at all. I feel a bit more somber, slightly more serious now that I see him, fallen from his throne and satisfied.

"You were holding back, even with that last punch. I could tell...you had strength...to spare," He finishes. "I barely even fazed you..."

Now, I can just tell he's slightly speaking to himself, and slightly talking to me; there's a small split between it, but I know that he's somewhat reflecting while talking, "Prophecies...are...unreliable..."

As I turn back around and walk to the edge of the ship, I can hear him gather up his last breaths for his last few words. His breath is nearly gone, almost completely silent.

And with his last few words, sounding done for as I reach the edge of the ship, "You were...too strong..."

Well, how was that, mate? Sure hope it wasn't garbage.

Aight, sorry mates, I know that this chapter was barely action in the slightest. I wouldn't even qualify this as an action-like chapter even though the scene and the fight is just so cool and awesome and deserves an epic action chapter...but I can't really write like that. And I'm not even saying that because it's out of my writing style, since it is...but even when I tried to write it in an action-sort of sense...I flopped.

Hell, the previous chapter that I wrote, I wrote it early on so that I could have extra time to experiment with this one. I tried a lot of stuff since I had some free time cause projects are coming up and I'm good at managing my group (a skill I'm lucky to have), and I just kept coming up short.

So...I'm sorry that this chapter kind of blows in terms of an action chapter. I knew that I wanted it to be more focused on Saitama, Tats, and how like Boros and Saitama are sort of a reflection of each other in a way, with their characters so...obvious to connect, but I really didn't know how to correlate that to brute action, which I don't even know how to write properly in the first place.

So, I'm sorry about that.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter anyways, mates. I really liked writing it even though it was tough to write and it got frustrating at some points, but it was really fun! And, of course, I really hope you guys liked reading the stuff I wrote!

If there's anything that I gotta fix, whether it be a plot hole, grammar, anything like that, please let me know! And if there's anything I could improve upon, I'd be glad to hear it. Thanks!

Sincerely,

SpiritBloodDragon
