Midoriya

I had left my straps of cloth on the ground beside Bakugo when I had turned to face the men.

"Hands up" the first man barked at me and I slowly raised both arms above my head. While I remained there a second man walked past the first, stopping a bit before me to look past me at Bakugo.

"Leave him alone" I growled. I was starting to feel more and more tense as each second past.

"Forget him," spoke the first man without moving his rifle from me, "look at all that blood, he's not going to make it" he commented. I gritted my teeth and fought the urge to defend Bakugo. The last thing I wanted to do was give them more of a reason to harm us.

"You, come with us" ordered the third man at the back, gesturing me to step forward. I hesitated, not wanting to leave Bakugo alone.
"Now!" he barked and the first man stepped forward and pressed his rifle end to my chest. He moved it away a moment later, a threat for if I didn't listen. Keeping my hands above my head I stepped forward and followed the first man as he led the way through the hole in the wall and into the main body of the casino, the other two men walking to each side behind me, guns trained on my back.

The casino, usually golden with light, was a scene of a massacre. Bodies lay on the floor, not a single surface in the area free from blood. Most of the bodies were dressed far more casually then the casino guests had been and had died with weapons in their hands, Massiah's men. I swallowed hard as I saw some bodies of innocent civilians among the others. Women in beautiful dresses, men in suits, staff and waiters lifeless and bloodied on the floor. Who ever these armed men were, were as bad as villains, with no care for who they hurt. I had been frozen in place and felt one of the men behind me push me in the back with his rifle, urging me on. I shut my eyes tightly, trying to shut out the sight of so many innocent dead and walked on.

A few more steps into the casino and I decided I was going to fight. I was far enough away that Bakugo couldn't get hurt from a stray bullet if they fired and I had more room to move in here then I did in the cramped hallway. I remembered Massiah saying I wouldn't stand a chance, but I couldn't leave Bakugo back there injured with villains still roaming and I wasn't going to let myself be taken captive again, not after how much worry it had caused everyone. I had no doubt these men would hesitate to fire on me when I made my move, but I had to try.

Another step and I built up the strength in my legs. On the next step I shot forward. The men to either side and behind of me let out noises of surprise at my speed. The first man only had enough time to turn back around before I slammed into him with a fist. The force stopped me in place and sent him flying into the far wall. The men behind me had collected themselves by now and I leapt up high in the air and touched the raised ceiling, pushing off it to send me towards the second man. He was more prepared than I had expected and already had his rifle trained on me as I came towards him with speed. I only just had enough time to throw my weight to one side to change my trajectory when he let loose a spray of bullets. I felt them graze my left arm and landed harder than usual to his side. It stung but I couldn't rest for a moment and immediately pushed myself again, leaping forward as the third man let loose a spray of bullets where I had just been. Keeping his finger on the trigger he followed me with a rain of bullets across the room as my trajectory flew me towards he hole in the wall.

The hallway would give me temporary cover from them as I grab Bakugo and make a run for it. I could feel warm blood running down my arm and body, but I couldn't stop till I made it through the hole in the wall. The stream of bullets caught up with me and I felt hot pain sear through my left leg. I crashed to the ground and rolled across the rubble covered floor. I blinked hard from the grit and blood on my face and opened my eyes to see vacant eyes staring back at me. I went to move away from the dead man, but stumbled as my arm stung and feeling the pain in my leg, escaping with Bakugo would be harder now and I gritted my teeth with frustration. I had worked through worse pain than this, but I had lost my head start. If I went to Bakugo now he would get hurt. I managed to sit up by the time the two men reached me. They both stood a with their guns pointed to me. I turned to face them defiantly, blood running down my face and stinging one of my eyes from my hard landing.

"You little shit!" yelled one of the men. He turned his weapon in his hands and hit me across the head with the rifles end. I fell forward from the blow and my ears rang. I pushed myself up and he raised his weapon to strike me again. He brought it down and I raised my good arm, catching the butt of the rifle. In anger he pulled it away and landed a kick with his large boot against my chest, but I refused to fall.

"You're not worth the time kid" put in the second man. He slung his rifle over his shoulder by its strap and drew a knife from his belt. He approached me and I struggled to my feet as the man with the rifle stepped back, gun end pointed at me again. The armed man froze. Was he hesitating?
His arms twitched violently as rotated the knife around towards himself.

"No!" he cried as he thrust his own knife into his stomach. He growled with pain, pulling the bloodied knife out and throwing it to the side. He turned awkwardly, the man with the rifle following his gaze and turning to face behind. From across the casino Massiah glared at the two of them as she appraoched confidently.

"You!" yelled the rifle man, but he was flung to the side by a simple wave of Massiah's hand and collided with a wall where he fell and didn't get back up. She kept her hard gaze fixed on the last man.

"That looks painful" she smirked at the man. She thrust a hand out in his direction before twisting her write so he palm faced the ceiling and slowlt drew her finers back to form a fist. As she did the man's blood streamed out of his knife wound in vibrant red stream towards Massiah who was still half the room away. The man groaned with agony as the blood was drawn from him, his body twitching until he finally fell limp and crumbled to the ground. His blood swirled in the air around Massiah until she released her rip on it and it rained down the the floor, not a single drop touching her.

She strode calmly towards me as I stood breathing hard from my wounds. She stopped a few feet before me, her burning red eyes fixed to mine.
"I told you to leave" she growled at me.
