The next morning after the moss tending, Steven and the crystal gems are at the temple. Steven was looking all over for a figurine but couldn't find it. "Amethyst? Where are you?" He called out, looking for someone's help.

"Out here, dude." The chillaxed shortie answered from the porch, chugging a soda as she sat with her feet up. Steven walked outside and came up to her with two Guys in his hands.

"Have you seen Ranger Guy?" He asked, resulting in a puzzled look from the gem.

"Excuse me?" She questioned, one eyebrow raised.

"Ranger Guy, one of my Guys." Another look of confusion from Amethyst. "You know, Guys." He tried to jog her memory, wiggling the figures in front of her.

"Isn't that him?" Amethyst asked, pointing to his chest.

"Huh?" He looked down only to be flicked in the nose by the prankster who howeled in laughter. "Ow. Amethyst, c'mon, have you seen him? Guys Under Your Supervision! There's Ninja Guy, Construction Guy, Dave Guy, Cop Guy, Eye Guy, Invisible Guy, Jagged Guy, Cat Guy, Apple Guy and my main man Ranger Guy! That doesn't ring any bells?" Steven asked, to be met by the same puzzled silence. Suddenly, Pearl exits the house.

"What's that I hear? You've lost one of your little men in thatv super junky room of yours?" She snarkily added, closing her eyes with her arms folded.

"It's not that bad.." Steven trailed off, looking through his window. Pearl cleared her throat, opening the window. A seagull went flying out of it with a pizza slice in it's beak. Steven nervously laughed. "How'd that get in there?"

"You left your window wide open to just let things in and out!" Pearl scolded just as Rose came outside as well.

"Where was the bird? I heard a bird call!" She exclaimed, clasping her hands together. Steven giggled while Pearl sighed, shaking her head.

"Aw, give him a break, P. My room's messy but I always find what I'm looking for." Amethyst said with calm eyes.

"Really? Then why haven't you found my magic axe?" Pearl challenged.

"I haven't tried looking for it." The purple gem responded simply.

"Amethyst.. You will look for that axe right this second!" Pearl yelled back, frustated.

"Hey, feel free to check yourself, or ask Garnet. She knows everything." Amethyst said with a hint of sarcasm. That gave Steven an idea.

"Everything huh? I bet she'll know where to find Ranger Guy! Thanks, Amethyst." Steven concluded, running off while waving back to the gems.

"See? I knew he'd rather listen to me." The Amethyst smirked causing Pearl to growl.

"C'mon, Pearl. I'll help look for it." Rose reassured, walking back into the temple with the tall Pearl.

Steven found Garnet leaving her room just in time before she could go back in. The boy grabbed her arm and tugged at it. "Garnet! Can I ask you something?" Steven asked the distant gem.

"Sure. But I already know what you're going to say." She replied with a playful smile.

"Really? What?" Steven asked in awe.

"You want help with your Ranger Guy. Not a problem. I can help." Garnet answered, walking into her room with him. Needless to say he was astonished.

"Wow, you're so cool. How did you know?" Steven asked, on the edge of his metaphorical seat.

Garnet leaned in close, brushed his hair from out of his ear and whispered two powerful words: "Future vision." Then grinned at him.

"You can see the future?!" Steven yelled in amazement.

"Yes. I can. But let's save the future vision lessons for another day, I've got work to do. Your Ranger Guy should either be in your bedroom under your photo of the Beach-A-Palooza or in a darker twist, in possesion of Onion." Garnet then slowly pushed the starry eyed Steven out of her room.

"I love you." Steven whispered in shock and astonishment. Garnet simply smirked before saying it back and dissapearing back into her room. Upon looking in his room, Steven could not find Ranger Guy at all, and so that led him to the other conclusion.

"I didn't know Onion would ever do this to me.. What a thief! I gotta find him." With that, Steven left the house and headed for Funland Arcade, Onion's favorite place to hang out.

Upon arrival, Steven couldn't find him. He yelled his name everywhere in the arcade but his search was dark. Until the child fell out of a vending machine with a bag of Chaps in his arms. "There you are, Onion! I've been looking all over for you!" The silent kid just walked away, but when Steven saw his backside he finally saw his prized Ranger Guy in Onion's back pocket.

"Ranger Guy! There he is. I gotta follow him, stealth like.." Steven began following Onion throughout Beach City. The first location Onion stopped was Suitcase Sam's. "Huh, those two have always been tight.. I wonder what he's gonna do." He whispered to himself, watching Onion from outside the store. Onion appeared to be shaking his head to different suitcase offers. "Is he haggling with that guy? What a tough customer." Steven commented.

Onion pointed at a bag of fast food and Suitcase Sam gave it up. "Looks like they worked something out." The young blonde then wandered out of the shop, bag in hand. Steven followed shortly after. Onion made his way down the sidewalk. "Did he get that guys lunch? Must be hungry. I wonder how this is gonna play out." Steven trailed off, following closely behind.

Onion and Steven found themselves at the Beach City docks. The former was of course still oblivious to Steven's presence. Onion sat down on the edge of the dock before tossing the burger inside to the sea. "What the heck is he doing!? What a waste!" The young teen cried out, holding his face to his hands. He peaked back up to see a fishing boat drive up to Onion. On it was Yellowtail, a large man with a yellow raincoat.

"Is that Onion's Dad?" Steven asked in amazement at the man who looked like a larger Onion with a beard. The man picked up Onion and started 'talking' in that usual Onion giberish. "Yup. defitintely related. I guess they don't need words." He muttered to himself, watching the two talk a couple of seconds more until Yellowtail abruptly put his son down and waved him goodbye, stepping onto the boat. "He's leaving already?" The half gem asked himself, a confused expression on his face. Then the boy sat down and started playing with none other than Ranger Guy.

Steven approached him, his memory coming back to him as he remembered that Onion had apparently stolen it from him. "Hey, Onion!" He yelled, making the short child snap his head towards Steven. "I know that's my ranger guy, and yes I am mad. But, I won't be if you just give me back my Guy." Silence. The two stared at each other, waiting for one of them to crack, however no one spoke until Steven began approaching Onion. The boy clutched the action figure to his chest, walking backwards.

"Don't make this harder than it has to be, just give it up." The curly gem warned, holding his palm out while approaching the blonde. Onion continued to shake his head, looking down at the toy. Eventually, the two reached the end of the boardwalk and Onion was closing his eyes, trying to keep the figure as secure as possible.

"What's your deal? He isn't yours, so give it up." Steven asked in a strict tone, an angry frown on his lips. Onion did, slamming the toy into his hand before running away. At first, the kid was happy, smiling as he was reuinted with his toy. "Ranger Guy! Ah, golly I missed you a lot. You and your jacket and your hat and your inanimate features.. Well, time to save the world from Dr. Whackley!" Steven cheered, watching the toy as he sat down and basically waited for it to be cool again. Of course, it didn't work and Steven slowly let the feeling of guilt hit him.

He collasped on his back, sighing as he picked up his Ranger Guy and scanned his face. "Oh, Ranger Guy, when did you get so lame? When did I get so lame? You deserve someone who understands you and needs you, and Onion needed you. I'm not saying he should have stolen to get you, but he's lonely, he doesn't have a Crystal Gems, or a Connie, just a Dad who isn't around often. Let's get you two reunited." He said to himself, getting up before reaching Funland Arcade. However the arcade was in a much worse state than usual.

"What happened here?!" Steven yelled out, clutching his hands to his cheeks. Onion was standing on a pile of Dave Guys that were overflowing the arcade. Mr. Smiley was nowhere to be found and a blue wand appeared in the thieves hand. He was firing it at the pile of Guys and duplicating them with every shot.

"O-onion!? How are you doing that? Anyways, you can stop now, I don't need Dave Guy, have him back!" Steven yelled from the ground, however he was blocked out by the noise of the dropping plastic. "Onion, hehe, here, take him and leave please?" He requested, tossing the toy to Onion's feet, with no response, just a blank stare filled with quiet rage.

Meanwhile, Rose, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl had been searching through town, searching for the replicator wand, which had seemingly dissapeared. Currenly, they were walking from Greg's storage unit back home. "We've searched the entire town, it ain't here." Amethyst dragged out in frustration, kicking a can as they walked down the boardwalk.

"Well, if it's anything like that Fryboy incident, it probably ended up somewhere in the city. Garnet, what are our options?" Pearl asked, looking up at her stoic comerade.

"I'm surprised you didn't ask earlier. I see a potential future where it ends up in the hands of the same kid who stole Steven's Ranger Guy at Funland Arcade; Onion." Garnet reported, nodding towards the building.

"Then let's get going, who knows what a random citizen could have done with that wand." Rose added, strutting ahead as the tall gem next to her hissed in dread of the struggle ahead.

When the gems came into the arcade, immediatly they noticed Steven attempting to climb the pile. "Oh no!" Rose yelled out, sprinting towards the boy while the other three stared down Onion.

"That kid does have the wand! Yo, kid, give it back!" Amethyst called out Onion, taking out her weapon to use it as a lasso.

"Wait, don't! He's just upset!" Steven tried to explain as he was pulled away by Rose.

"Steven, how are we going to save the wand without confrontation? We need to end this before he suffocates someone or himself. Plus, we can't let a human have such an item because look at what happens!" Pearl replied as Steven was held by his mother.

"I.. I guess I understand. Do what you have to do." Steven accepted, closing his eyes as he let his body give up. Garnet managed to climb into the pile and rescue any civilians she could find, which was basically just Mr. Smiley. Amethyst had snatched the wand out of Onions hands using her whip and replaced it with his Ranger Guy, the boys blind rage making him too angry to tell the difference.

"Yo, Rose, catch!" Amethyst called, tossing the object towards her leader. She caught it, putting Steven down. Then, she crushed it with a bit of strength, causing every Dave Guy but the original to disappear. This left Onion on the floor, blinking as he realized where he was. "Nice!" The purple gem celebrated.

Steven frowned, walking towards Onion before putting his hand on his small shoulder, smiling reasurringly. "Hey, you can keep Ranger Guy. I can tell you need him more than me, and well.. If you want, we can be friends too." He suggested, which was met by a light smack to the cheek from Onion, followed by a hug. "Ahaha, ah I'll take that as a yes."

The end!
