Elizabeth chewed the inside of her cheek as she washed the dishes in the kitchen behind the bar, a frown on her lips. The memory that happened yesterday, was still clear in her mind and it bugged her.
Why was her boyfriend crying?
"When I ripped his hearts out one after another, each time it felt good and it still feels good," He hiccupped, tears going down his face.
That was the only time she had seen Meliodas cry. It was when the war broke out and he killed one of the commandments easily, but if what killing made him cry, then was there something terrible headed their way?
Was Meliodas going to ki-
"Yo," A cheerful voice greeted Elizabeth, making her jump and drop whatever dish she was holding. It fell to the floor with a crash and she yelped both with a terrified squeak, and a startled one."Uh-" Elizabeth turned to the yellow-haired demon slowly, her hands shaking. She saw him frowning at the pieces of broken glass that she recognized as a plate.
He blinked and looked at Elizabeth with concern, the frown on his young face, deepening."Somethin' bugging you?" He asked, his voice low. He rose an eyebrow at his girlfriend and his jaw tightened.
Her face immediately went red with embarrassment and she clammed up. She silently picked up the big broken pieces, scratching herself in the process, but she ignored the pain as she hissed and threw them out. "Elizabeth?" King's voice rang to her, but she ignored her comrade and walked back to the pieces of glass and picked them up, getting more cuts on her hands.
"Elizabeth," Meliodas's voice called for her, but she now glared at whatever she could and stood up, avoiding everyone's gaze. After she was done cleaning, she went to the sink and rinsed her hand of blood and glass, hissing at the pain she received.
Anger rose up in her. She didn't know why, but at the same time, she knew something was wrong. He was planning something bad that she didn't know and it made her pissed. Why was he going to abandon her?
"Elizabeth!" Meliodas grabbed her hand and spun her to him. His eyes widened when he saw that she was furious.
"Don't touch me!" She yelled, yanking herself free of his grasp. She glared at him and picked at her fingernails by her nails as she realized the whole group surrounded her. She huffed her red cheeks and turned around, excusing herself for the night as she threw the cloth at the ground and exited the room, leaving a room full of confusion.
