[Tywin Lannister]

"Lord Jose, King of the uncharted lands of the South"

"It would be my honor to have you over to my kingdom. As you are aware, my youngest son has become a person of significant importance between us"

"Threw him, we have been able to begin to trade, however seeing as these are troubling times for your kingdom. I'm afraid that to supply you with mercenaries and trained knights, you and I must speak face to face"

"Please, as lord I must insist that to prove that my asking of you to come to my lands is no form of disrespect. I would be honored to meet someone who managed to not only settle but thrives in such lands."

Tywin said as the scribe wrote down every word, he felt the warmth of the sun on his skin, it was a welcomed feeling considering that because of how quickly winter had arrived, he was struggling to adapt fast enough to it.

He listened to the scribe write until the sound of the man's pen stopping caught his attention.

He allowed himself to imagine the reactions of everyone who would lay sight on the young King, he wouldn't allow it to show in any way whatsoever but none the less the thought was somewhat pleasing.

"When will the Starks be near Kings Landing?"

"Lord Tywin I know its not my place, but you keep me around to state the obvious but is this wise?"

"I dint ask you to answer me with another question, but no it's not wise. Truth be told this could result disastrously for me, the boy could join with the Bastard Stark"

"The results would be that those savages would have land to the south and land in the north."

"However, there is another possibility, one that could come about in two ways."

"The boy will say, I'm not your brother and you are not my father to Eddard Stark, seeing as he was abandoned, while his twin was taken by their father."

"The second way is that Catelyn Stark never approved of the bastard and her ill-treatment of him is well known. Imagine her reaction to seeing another"

"She would either cast the first bastard out or be so disgusted with the second that it would forever separate the southern lands beyond the sea, from the north."

"Regardless, it must be done this way. If, no when word gets out that I knew about the boy's existence and didn't tell his father, it will reflect badly on my house and there could be retaliation"

He answered the scribe and the man simply lowered his head and kept quiet.

"They haven't left their home in the north, the sudden arrival of winter has delayed their departure, but there's no reason for them to not last the normal mont, my lord" the man finally answered his question.

Tywin didn't bother saying anything, he just allowed himself to look at the sun and take in the snow-covered lands.

Politics are tricky things, one must know how to say things and make sure they are forgotten b those beneath them, while at the same time remembering those things said by those equal and higher than themselves.

This meant, that everything he did was seen and heard and written down by someone else.

Its fo this reason that he was certain that several others now knew about the young king's existence and were already planning to use him in some form or another, he would just have to be the first one to do so.

"Tell me is my daughter still having trouble with the king?"

His scribe lifted a sheet of paper and handed it to him.

"Yes my lord, from what your spies have reported the king spends more and more time with the various women in the city, completely ignoring your daughter"

"Write this down...I have use of you."

" Send it to my daughter immediately, she is still beautiful and she isn't far too old, my grandson has already been acknowledged by the king, and is the inheritor to the throne, but I will not be insulted like this."

[Jake]

I felt the hot blood flow as I cut the snakes through, I turned to look at my teacher and yet te woman just gave me a disappointed expression.

I don't have many women to teach me to be a woman, the only thing I have to offer Jose is my body and in time he will tire of it, he will tire of me.

I have no choice but to show him that I too am a woman and that despite my actions in the past I am worthy of having his name, he has yet to have his firstborn, his true firstborn.

Williams wives have all taken over the house, not in the sense that they had taken control of it from her, but in the sense that because both Jose and William are gone, the eldest of the boys has been given charge of everything, and as his other I am to help guide in every way I can.

What hunters remain have taken my youngest and they have gone into the woods to bring back more and more animals, most are alive and some are dead.

Our trade with the Kingdoms may not be too important but it does help us get by when hunting doesn't result in anything, we need to keep the creatures for trade well-fed and unfortunately, we can't kill them, so we have no choice but to rely on what we have.

"Like this" I heard my new daughter ask and her elder sister or perhaps her twin took her half woven basket and straightened it for her.

How had these children taken the room in my heart and filled it with their presence, when did I first start to see them as my own?

Its already been six days since the men left and already there is a strange feeling in the air, the smell of blood lingers and the people are on edge.

"Open the gates!" I hear one of the guards scream and to my surprise, Lord Tyrion and several of the knights and hunters are with him, they are accompanied by a lot of men, women, and children.

"Separate these in two piles one stays here the other goes to our side. Careful the blasted things can cut into our armor" Lord Tyrion said as a knight handed several bags filled with what looked like teeth and claws to one of the women.

"Lady Jakeits a pleasure," the small man said to me as we locked eyes.

I can already hear the murmurs from some of the women.

"Trust me from what has happened, I wouldn't sleep with you if you were the last woman on the planet and neither would any of the men with me"

"Don't take it as an insult, I have seen things I dought my father has ever laid eyes on. Frankly from what I have seen betraying your husband would be the stupidest thing anyone of us could ever do"

"That's a good thing, tell me what has father? Has he fought against monsters?"

"My young Lord your father has fought against things that can do this" Tyrion said as he showed the scratches on his armor.

"Look at this the best armor in all of Westeros and those things were able to scratch it, a little more and they would have cut into it" headed.

The sound of a crow reached my ears and I saw the bird land next to Tyrion and hand him a letter.

"Excuse me" he said to me and my son.

I watched as the short mas expression turned grim.

"It seems that with gathering the mercenaries and sending both knights and settlers, others have taken notice and my father requests Lord or better said King Jose's presence"

"Forgive me Lady or perhaps Queen Jacqueline, Lord Miguel, it looks like I will be forced t keep your father away for some time. Please understand that such things are needed in times of war"

I watched as the eldest of the boys lowered his eyes but he quickly raised them.

"So be it, father still has to come home and then we cans ee him" Miguel said, to Tyrion, but I could see him tightening the grip n his sword.
