The halls were dark as we walked them.
"This place is very unsettling…" Ivy said.
"Yeah. But we need to keep going." I told him.
"Yeah… I just hope we can get out of here quickly." He said.
Nodding, I ensured him we will be out soon. Ivy didn't really believe that, but accepted as we continued walking down the hall. There wasn't much to this place other then a long hallway of nothing. We just continued walking and walking for a little before finally coming to a split.
"Hmm… Left or right." I turned to face Ivy.
"We could split up." He told me.
"You sure that's a good idea? I think we'd have a better chance sticking together." I replied.
"Do you still have that radio?" He asked.
Taking it out, I showed him.
"Good, good. We can keep in contact in case we found something." He said.
"Well… If you say so. Just be careful, alright?" I told him.
"Don't gotta tell me that. I'll go left." He said.
"Okay. Guess I'll take the right… Make sure your radio isn't full volume. We need it to be quiet." I said.
Ivy agreed and took out his radio, turning the volume to near zero. I did the same as we looked at each other. Nodding at each other, we started walking on our paths.
With Ivy in another part of the building, I decided to take it slow and tried masking my footsteps by moving slowly and somewhat dragging my feet. I didn't want to drag my feet completely since that would cause a scraping noise, so I just gently lifted my feet and so fourth.
This took me a bit longer, but I continued for about five minutes as I walked down the halls, hearing dripping from loose pipes. Each noise did unnerve me, but I didn't stop. I continued forward and with me reaching the end of the hall, I was met by another split. Looking left, there wasn't much. It appeared that it was a dead end. Looking to the right, there was a door. A large metal door.
"Hmm… A door…?" I told myself.
Walking over to it, I grabbed the large metal handle and twisted it. Turning it, it opened up. The painfully loud sound it made caused me to cringe because I was afraid someone heard it due to it echoing throughout the entire basement area I was in. I continued just enough to where I could slip in. When I slipped in, I let out a big sigh and looked down, shaking my head.
"Damn… That was way too loud. I know someone heard it." I said.
Looking up, I inhaled and walked a few steps into the new area. Upon scanning around for a moment, I noticed a sign which said 'BL3".
"Huh…? I have no idea what that means…" I told myself.
Shrugging, I walked further into the room. I was greeted with a few doors as I checked each one. The scene I saw appeared to be some kind of torture room. Chains, shackles and some sharp objects.
"Jeez… I've sorta seen worse from doing those trails. But this is still disturbing." I told myself.
Slowly backing out, I suddenly jolted up upon hearing a noise down the hall. Looking over in surprise, it sounded like metal hitting metal.
"U- um…" I looked a little nervous.
Pulling out the butterfly knife, I spoke into the radio.
"Uh… Ivy? Something made a noise over here." I said.
"You sure it wasn't pipes rattling? Getting them over here due to pressured steam." He said.
"I am unsure… But it didn't sound like simple steam. It sounded like a metal object hitting another metal object." I explained.
"Hmm? Um, alright. Be careful then. Could be someone. I'll be there in a moment." He replied.
"Sounds good. I'll wait for you." I said.
Putting my radio away, I walked towards the metal door I have entered and slipped out. I then waited for Ivy who took only a minute as I saw him running up to me in near silent.
"Jeez. You are like a ninja even when sprinting." I told him.
"Yeah, I am quick on my feet and know how to silent my movement. Anyways, shall we?" He said.
Motioning towards the door, Ivy slipped in as I followed. Once we were in, we looked around and began going down the hall to where I heard the odd noise.
"So, what did you find?" I asked.
"Nothing much. Just rooms which were mostly used for tools and storage." He said.
"That's all? Man…" I replied.
"Yeah. This place is like a damn maze. Took so many turns to reach rooms that weren't worth getting lost." He said, sighing softly.
"I have noticed it has a maze feel to it. Lets just try and keep our surroundings in check." I told him.
"Good idea… Anyways, lets find the source of this sound." He said.
With that, we began walking down the hall some more. We passed some prison cells which had dried blood and torn and broken objects around them.
"U- ugh… Try… Not touching anything… Needles and syringes along with all kinds of other things that could have who know what disease…" Ivy said, gagging slightly.
"Yeah… This place is disgusting…" I replied.
"This is j-" Ivy was cut off by a voice.
The voice caught us off guard as we jumped. It had come from deeper down the hall.
"W- wait… Did you hear that?" He asked.
"Yeah, I heard. Lets check it out." I replied.
Ivy nodded and quickly ran down the hall as I followed while trying to avoid the broken glass and other hazards that were scattered across the ground. With me managing to stay close to Ivy, we stopped near a cell and noticed what I somewhat feared. Icy, locked behind bars.
"Icy!" Ivy exclaimed.
Icy slowly looked up and smiled softly.
"T- thankfully you managed to find me… How…? Thought I'd be stuck here…" She said.
"I am unsure how we actually found this place. We just managed to find it… I'm glad we did now." Ivy said.
"We should save this. Icy. Do you know where this unknown Pokemon is?" I asked.
"Uh… N- no. I barely seen any features of them as is… They managed to catch me off guard and knock me out… When I awoke, I had a sack over my head before getting thrown in here." She said, looking down.
"Do you know if they've been here recently?" I asked more.
"Um… About ten minutes ago… I can barely see anything about the Pokemon… They're like a shadow. Completely black and hard to see any features." She said.
"Okay, ten minutes… That isn't bad. Now hold on, we're going to bust you out." I said.
"B- be quick… From my knowledge, they come back every 20 or 30 minutes…" She said.
Nodding, I looked at Ivy who looked over the bars. He examined them closely and soon got up, sighing.
"These bars look strong as hell. Some titanium or something." He said.
"I know there is a way to cut them or pray them… Something." I said.
"Well… There is those storage rooms I saw. I only gave them a quick glance, but I swore I saw some tools for cutting. Like a blowtorch." He said.
"Really? Awesome. Should we both go?" I asked.
"Um… That's up to you. You can come with and help search or any tools useful. Or you can stay back and watch over the place. Radio in if they come back and all." He said.
Thinking for a moment, I decided to stay behind.
"Okay. I think you should go. I'll get out of view and report if that Pokemon comes back." I said.
"Sounds good. I'll try and be as fast as possible." Ivy said.
Upon Ivy saying that, he rushed off and through the metal door. With him gone, I looked at Icy and crouched down before slowly making my way behind some large boxes.
"S- so happy you two found me…" Icy spoke.
"I'm glad we found you… Just hold on. We'll get you out of there." I replied.
Icy slowly nodded and laid back. Looking at her, she appeared to be slightly injured as I noticed a bandage around her leg. Looking concerned, I spoke.
"What happened to your leg?" I asked.
"T- they attacked me before kidnapping me… A good slash against my leg with a large bowie knife. I tried getting away… But with my leg, I couldn't… Then the next thing I know, I'm here." Icy shivered as tears fell from her face.
"Look, it's okay… I am sure we can get you medical care." I said.
"Y- yeah… Ivy and I knows how to mix certain herbs to create a medical cream… So I think I'll be good. But it really hurts and stings…" She said.
"I know. Trust me… I've died many times already. I know how it feels." I said.
"Died…?" She looked confused.
"Yeah. I took on multiple different trails and challenges to help a friend. For some reason… Dying doesn't actually make you… Die. I'll… Explain it later." I said.
"O- oh… Okay." She said.
I decided to stop talking in case someone would hear, so I fell silent and told Icy the same. She slowly nodded and closed her eyes. We then sat in silent for a decent amount of time. I would say it was at least eight or so minutes before I heard something. I looked up from my position and noticed a separate door. The moment the door opened, I noticed a large figure in black walk in. Looking surprised, I stayed hidden and tried thinking. It couldn't be the same figure since this one was much bigger. It could've been a Charizard or something. It looked around the size. This change in size intimidated me somewhat since they were way too big for me to fight. With me thinking about their size and what they could be, I instantly remembered to warn Ivy. So I quickly grabbed my radio and very softly spoke into it.
"I- Ivy? Someone is in the room we're in… Do not walk in… I'll tell you when it's clear… Do not speak since I'm afraid they'll hear…" I said.
Ivy luckily didn't get worried enough to speak. I wasn't going to take a chance though as I turned it off to prevent him contacting me. So with me finishing that, I slowly looked out from my cover. The figure stayed quiet as they had a bag. From where I was, I wasn't really able to see what was going on.
"Where are your friends…?" They're voice suddenly came.
The voice clearly sounded male and rough.
"Not speaking…? Ugh. Fine. I'll be back with a new device to make you speak…" He spoke and walked out, the door slamming.
Closing my eyes, I sighed deeply and turned the radio back on, telling Ivy they were gone and to hurry quickly.
"They're gone? Good." He said.
As he said that, I saw him slip into the door and walking towards the cell. I got out of cover and looked at him. He held out some kind of torch.
"Not really a blowtorch… But should be enough." He said.
"Well, hurry! They're suppose to be coming back any minute now." I said.
Ivy nodded and turned the torch on as a flame shot out. He then proceeded to cut through the metal bars. I was nervous all this time as he continued cutting. I was just afraid that Pokemon would return and capture all of us.
So with nearly five minutes passing, I was very worried. Luckily, five minutes was all it took as Ivy managed to cut out a small square from the bars. Icy slowly got up and thankfully squeezed herself from the small square. When she was out, I picked her up.
"O- okay, a bit heavier then I thought…" I said.
"What are you doing?" Ivy asked.
"Her leg is injured. Walking on it won't be good." I said.
"Oh… Well, lets hurry and get out of here!" Ivy said.
The three of us started walking out. We slipped between the door and pretty much ran down the hallway towards the entrance point. It was tough carrying Icy, but I dealt with it even though I fell behind slightly. When I reached the entrance point, Ivy was waiting and helped me shove Icy out. Once she was out, I helped Ivy and with only me, I found some boxes and stacked them. They were cardboard, so they weren't so sturdy. But I did manage to climb them as I grabbed Ivy's paw. As he grabbed my paw, the box caved in as I fell. Ivy managed to keep a grip on me and slowly pull me out.
Once I was out, Ivy pulled me to my feet.
"We did it." He said.
"For now…" I replied.
"I suppose. But at least we're out from there." He said.
"Look, we better split from this place." I said.
"Yeah, good idea. I'll carrying Icy. Lets go." He told me.
Ivy went to Icy and picked her up as we managed to leave the place without any problems...
