"What happens if I bring a magnet near your face?"
The room became silent as everyone awaited Pain's answer. "W-was that offensive?" I asked, turning to look at the Akatsuki members. "I don't know. I've never tried." answered Pain after a few more minutes of an uncomfortable silence. "Really?" I should stop talking to Pain as though we're old friends. I let out a small sigh, "Well, maybe one day I'll find out if your head gets smashed against the magnet by the sheer amount of metal on your face." I joked, heading towards the dorms, "I'll be in the room if anyone needs me." I said with a smile. Pain nodded and watched as I left, "You'll need to pick a partner soon. Join a team."
I let out the heaviest of sighs. "Um…" I looked around the room, "I guess if Kisame-san wouldn't mind working with me, I'd be down." I shrugged, "I need to sharpen my swordsmanship skills anyway." The blue skinned man nodded as though agreeing with me but Pain seemed to hesitate, "I think you should be more around people your age so…" he shot a glance at Deidara, "Please… I'm begging you…" I said with my eyes pleading, "Anyone but him!"
"Nope. My decision is final. You and Deidara will be teammates from now on. Along with Tobi of course." I shot the man the dirtiest of glares while Tobi hugged me, chanting. "Lia-chan and I are in the same team~" I nodded, "Yes… how lovely." My tone betrayed the disappointment I was feeling due to being placed in the same team as Deidara but Tobi didn't seem to mind. "Don't worry Lia-chan, Deidara-senpai is really nice inside." I chuckled, "I highly doubt that but sure, buddy." I shot the boy a smile and headed to my room, immediately throwing myself on the bed.
"This could not have gone any worse." I mumbled, instinctively reaching for my bag, "I want to die…" I whined turning around to look at the ceiling. "I wonder how mom is doing… has she forgotten me perhaps? She made pretty sure to tell me that she hoped I was burning in hell two years ago…" Somebody knocked on the door as soon as the flashbacks started happening. Thankful, I went to the door to see who my savior was.
"Oh. It's you." I got away from the door to let Deidara in. "What brings you here?" I asked, a small smile on my face, "Wipe that look off your face, midget!" ordered Deidara, looking away, "Eh~ So much for trying to be friendly." I pouted, crossing my arms. "So… you got an answer to my question?" The boy nodded, "Pain wants us to go training tomorrow," I nodded, "Alright. Where would that be? I don't remember seeing any training grounds." The blonde nodded, "We usually train in the nearby woods." I scratched my chin, "That does sound like a good training spot…" I mumbled, sitting on my bed. I looked over at the blonde, "Why is your hair so long, seriously?" Deidara shrugged, "I guess I like the way it looks. I can't imagine myself with short hair."
I closed my eyes and tried to find an image, "Hm… you're right. At least your long hair hides most of your face." I joked. Deidara just let out a sigh, "No insult? Are you sure you're okay?" I asked, putting my hand against his forehead to check for his temperature. "Jeez you really are the girl version of Tobi." sighed the boy, running a hand through his hair, "Well I wouldn't go that far." Deidara shot me a blank look. "I can be mature!" I exclaimed, starting to get annoyed, "In fact I'll be so mature you'll be… blown away." the boy cringed, "That was the worst pun I've ever heard, un." I let out a heavy sigh, "Yeah you're probably right."
The two of us sat there in silence until he got up and walked to the door, "I'll see you tomorrow, midget." he called, catching my fist just in time. I immediately cringed. "Ew~ Your hand licked me!" I exclaimed, wiping it on him, "Gross, gross, gross!" the boy pushed me back slightly, "Don't wipe it on me!" he exclaimed but I ignored him, "It's your hand mouths! Can't you get rid of them or something?!" Deidara looked at me as though I had said something crazy. "Are you stupid? I worked so hard to get this power, I'm not getting rid of it because some girl finds it gross!" I continued wiping my hand on his sleeves. "Well at least control them, then! The hell, the saliva won't leave!" I whined, starting to get frustrated. "What's going on?" asked Kisame, seeing the state the two of us were in.
"I tried to punch Deidara because he called me a midget but he caught my fist and now my hand is doused in his hand's mouth's spit!" Kisame laughed harder than I heard anyone laugh in my entire life. "You're kidding right?" he asked, getting into another fit of laughter after seeing that no, we weren't kidding. This was very much real. "Can't he close them or something? Make them disappear for a while?" Deidara scoffed and crossed his arms, "They're very useful in battle." he declared. "Yeah but you don't need them here, do you? Or at least, try to dodge instead of catching my fist when I try to punch you then!" Deidara crossed his arms over his chest and looked away, "How about you don't resort to violence when I state facts, un!" I could feel my blood boil, "I'm not short I'm average!" I exclaimed. This made Kisame snicker. "What a brag." I threw my arms in the air and just gave up. "Whatever. You're helping me wash this off." I declared, dragging Deidara in the bathroom with me.
"W-what are you doing?!" exclaimed the blonde as he got thrown into the stall. "What? I told you. You're helping me wash this off since it's like some weird chakra glue or something." The boy's face flushed. "We're in a stall together, people are bound to misunderstand!" I faked a worried expression, "Oh no, whatever will we do! It would sure be far better if they all knew that your hand mouth licked my fist, of course that makes sense!" the blonde calmed down before letting out a sigh, "I regret ever meeting you." he mumbled, getting behind me and helping me pry the glue off my hands.
"The feelings are reciprocated don't you worry… Geez why did Pain have to put us in the same team…" I mumbled, suddenly yelping in pain, "Why don't you pull harder and yank it off, asshole!" I exclaimed, rubbing my wrists. "It's not my fault it's sticky! You shouldn't have tried to punch me in the first place!" I yelped as Deidara pulled harder. "Ow!" I exclaimed, the glue finally coming off, "Yay, it's gone!" I said immediately washing my hands to get rid of some of the possible excess glue. "Alright let's leave and never speak of this again." proposed Deidara. "Deal." we fistbumped then left the bethroom.
"Lia-chan and Deidara-senpai?" the two of us shared a look before slowly turning around, "Tobi. No." said Deidara, panicked. "YOU DID IT!" screamed Tobi, pointing and screaming, calling the rest of the members to see. "They did it! Tobi saw them leave together!" I let out a sigh, "This backlashed real quick." whispered Deidara, "Yup…" I replied, my face now crimson as I met Pain's eye. "It's not as Tobi said." I tried to explain calmly. "Then tell us your side of the story." I let out a sigh, immediately shifting the blame, "Kisame-san was there. Ask him!" the sheer glare Pain shot at me signalled that he wanted to hear my side of the story. "Deidara and I were having a stupid fight and I may or may not have tried to punch him." I mumbled, looking down.
"And I may or may not have caught her hand, causing one of the mouths on my hands to spew glue on her." continued Deidara. "That doesn't explain why you are in the stall together." teased Kisame. I glared at him, "Deidara-san was helping me pry the glue off because we have to train tomorrow." Tobi didn't seem to calm down, "But he whispered in your ear! That's only something lovers do Lia-chan!"
I shook my head, "Tobi, we've known each other for less than a day, why would we become lovers?" Tobi shook his head, "Deidara-senpai could get any girl he wants within a minute!" my face went blank as I processed what just came out of Tobi's mouth. "He does know what he just said right?" I asked in a futile attempt at changing the subject, "He doesn't." answered Hidan with a smirk on, "Aelia you didn't tell me you were into doing it in the bathroom." I cringed. "I'm fifteen you fucking pedo." Kakuzu snickered while Hidan froze in place.
"I will be heading to my room now." I mumbled, pushing past the horde of people and finally reaching my door, "Where do you think you're going?" asked Pain, grabbing me by the end of my collar. "Um… hopefully to my bed?" Pain chuckled, "You really think I'm letting you leave until this matter is resolved?" I let out a sigh, I was getting tired of family members trying to tame me, "There is nothing to resolve! Deidara's hand spat on mine then I forced him to help me wash it off. End of story." Pain finally let me go join Konan in our room, immediately throwing myself on the bed. "Stupid Nagato." I mumbled into the pillow, "He's just like Naruto and Sasuke I swear!" I screamed into the pillow, ignoring the older woman's amused glances.
"He wants to care for you. Just let him." smiled the woman as she turned off the lights. "And get some sleep tonight. You'll have to deal with not one but two dorks tomorrow." I nodded, "I suppose you're right. I'll need all the energy I can get." The woman chuckled and turned off the lights, leaving us in darkness if it wasn't for the light of the moon shining through the curtains. My eyes became heavy as I felt sleep overtake me, drifting off to a dreamless sleep and waking up hours later, full of energy.
"Rise and shine!" exclaimed Konan, her voice somehow both lacking any emotion and enthusiastic at the same time. "You have training with Deidara and Tobi today." she reminded me. I let out a small sigh. "Why did you have to remind me of that now?" Konan chuckled as she watched me drag myself to the bathroom to take a shower and get dressed. I left the room wearing only a shirt, only to see a patch of blonde hair swish past me. "OI GET DRESSED BEFORE LEAVING THE BATHROOM, YOU EXEBITIONIST!" I'm having a weird sense of deja vu…
"Exibitionist? I'm wearing a shirt." I said matter-of-factly, "The real question is why you're in here." the boy turned around though it was useless since he was looking away from me… I guess that's the only part of him I can respect for the moment. "I came to tell you we were leaving to train right after breakfast," I cringed, "Isn't that bad though? I'll skip on breakfast for today." I decided, putting on some leggings and my cloak. "Lia-chan, you can't skip breakfast!" exclaimed Tobi, "When did you get in?!"
"Don't mind the details Lia-chan just go eat some breakfast!" exclaimed Tobi as he tried to shove a croissant down my throat. After a few seconds of choking, I was left with no choice but to accept the food. "Thank you Tobi…" I mumbled, finishing the food in a few seconds. I hope I don't throw up after the training… I let out a small sigh and headed for my door, "Geez, I wish Konan-san had told me you guys would come…" I mumbled, opening the door and heading out. "She didn't tell you?" asked Deidara. I shook my head, "Not even a word." the blonde shrugged and jogged to the front.
"Are you a close range, mid range or distance range fighter?" he asked. I shrugged, "I do a little bit of the three. I bettered myself at distant range when I was in Konoha, was forced into close range with Orochimaru, and I guess I always knew a bit of mid range." the man nodded, "How good are you at Taijutsu?" I shrugged, "Probably pretty bad compared to anyone in the Akatsuki." I joked, "I'll be the judge of that." mumbled Deidara as he got into his stance.
"I need to practice Taijutsu so you better be good, un!" I let out a small sigh and got into an offensive stance. "Come." ordered the blonde. I immediately charged all my limbs with chakra and attacked him, landing a hit here and there. I kicked, I either blocked or dodged. I punched, he either caught my fist or countered it. He's fast. "You're not so bad for a midget." complimented Deidara as he landed a punch on my ribs. "I could say the same for you, Goldie Locks." I answered, kicking him on the head. Tobi kinda sat there and cheered for the both of us. "Go, Lia-chan! Go, Deidara-senpai!"
I chuckled. Funny how he's actually Obito… "How about this: the loser has to be the winner's dog for the rest of the day." Deidara seemed to consider it as he threw a punch that I blocked and countered. "Deal." he smirked as the two of us continued to fight. "What happens if the outcome is a double knockout?" I asked, finally, kicking the man in the ribs. He coughed before answering, "The two of us become Tobi's dogs for the rest of the day." I shrugged at that, "Alright. I'm sure he wouldn't be mean." Oh boy how wrong I was.
The match ended in a double knockout. Being people of our word, Deidara and I became Tobi's slaves for the rest of the day. "Lia-chan… What should Tobi make you do?" mumbled Tobi as he scratched the chin on his mask, "I know! Bring Tobi a lollipop." I let out a sigh of relief. "Alright." I said with a smile, but it seemed as though Tobi wasn't done. "On Deidara-senpai's shoulders." I kept my mouth shut as I climbed on the boy's shoulders. "Happen to know where Tobi keeps his lollipops?" the boy nodded before asking, "What are you doing on my shoulders?" I glared at him.
"Tobi." was all I said before the boy shot me an understanding look. "Alright. To my room!" he got up so fast I almost hit my head on the ceiling. "Don't get up so quickly, idiot!" I exclaimed, hitting him on the head. "Ow!" exclaimed the boy before putting me down the moment we were out of Tobi's sight. "I regret suggesting this." I mumbled, looking for Tobi's secret stash before something caught my eye. "You read those books?" I asked, pointing at the pile of Icha Icha books that were on a shelf. I remember those books being the first things I bought the moment I realised I was in the Naruto world. I had to know what the story was. I was not disappointed.
"The storyline is pretty good, un." said Deidara as pink dusted his cheeks. "Yeah the storyline alright." I joked, finally finding Tobi's stash of lollipops. "Oh, strawberry. Gonna take that one for myself." I mumbled, reaching into the jar. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Deidara stopped me. "Why not?" I asked, waiting for an explanation, "Tobi loves his candy so you best bet he added an alarm system to notify him if someone ever steals one of his candies." I let out a small "Oh." then took my hand out of the jar. "Alright let's head back." the two of us left the room only to find Tobi standing in front of the door, his arms crossed. "Lia-chan, why aren't you on Deidara-senpai's shoulders?"
I froze, "I-I fell, Tobi." I lied, trying to get out of the situation since I know there will be consequences. "You could've just gotten back on. As punishment you have to…" he seemed to turn around and think about it. Deidara took that opportunity to try and slip away, but unfortunately, he was caught. "Deidara-senpai!" exclaimed Tobi. "Now then. I've decided on a punishment." snickered the boy. "Deidara-senpai and Lia-chan… you two need to be extra nice to each other until midnight. You have to give each other nicknames too! I've decided. Lia-cahn will call Deidara-senpai Bunny and Deidara-senpai has to call Lia-chan Honey"
I stared at him, agast, "T-Tobi, why are you so mean?" I whined, not wanting to be nice to Deidara, "I'm sorry Lia-chan but you disobeyed me." I let out a small sigh, "F-fine… Come on… let's go…" I looked at Deidara, unable to say the nickname. "Go on, Lia-chan." said Tobi, probably smiling under his mask, "B-Bunny…" I mumbled, pink dusting my cheeks. Deidara stared at me, surprised that I actually did as I was told.
"I-I keep my word. I'll be taking my leave." I mumbled, heading towards the lobby, "Lia-chan are you mad?" asked Tobi, probably giving me puppy eyes under his mask, "Nope. We had a double knockout and we decided that you would have control over us for the rest of the day if that ever happened so you just have your fun." I smiled, heading towards the fridge. "Sake!" I exclaimed, immediately taking the bottle into my hands, "Ah~ I missed you so much!" I exclaimed, immediately opening it and pouring myself a glass. "You drink?" asked Deidara, taking a cup for himself too.
"Occasionally." I mumbled bringing the glass to my lips. "Aren't you under age?" I chuckled, "Aren't you?" the two of us snickered before drinking yet another glass of Sake, slowly but surely getting intoxicated. A few minutes passed and now, Deidara and I were on the lobby's couch, debating whether or not he should cut his hair. "I mean I guess it would look alright." I mumbled, getting up and taking his hair, lifting it up and folding it to make it seem shorter, "But you'd kinda look like a surfer named Chad." Deidara laughed, "A Chad? I wouldn't go that far," I barked out a laugh as I poured myself another cup.
"What are you talking about? You'd look exactly like every surfer guy in every movie!" I exclaimed, "All you'd need next is a puka shell bracelet and a shark tooth necklace!" Deidara widened his eyes, "Isn't that what all girls consider hot these days?" I choked on my drink. "Fuck no! Guys like that never shut up about "the sheer pleasure" the waves bring them." Deidara let out a laugh, "You did not just say that!" The two of us started laughing and chatting as though we were old friends, not once noticing Tobi standing in front of us.
"What are you doing?" he asked, curiosity laced into his voice. I smiled as I got up to get him a drink, "Tobi! You should join us!" I exclaimed but soon fell because the world started spinning. "Oi get off me!" exclaimed Deidara, chuckling as he tried to push me off, "The world is spinning right now, lemme rest." I pouted, watching as Tobi went to get a glass for himself. "Tobi wants to get drunk too!" he exclaimed, coming towards us. I immediately got up, "I ain't drunk! My tolerance is suuuuper high!" I bragged, staggering and falling on the floor.
"I just tripped. That's all." I pouted, crossing my arms, "Tripped on air?" I flinched as I recognized the deep voice that couldn't belong to anyone other than Pain. "Boss! You're here!" I exclaimed, pulling Deidara up, "Come on, you gotta act sober!" I said, thinking that I was whispering, "Yeah you're right. Maybe he won't be able to tell." whispered back Deidara. We put on our boniest smiles and greeted him professionally, "Wow boss, I didn't notice you here. Is that a new piercing I see?"
It was obvious at that point that Pain was trying his best not to lose it. "My office. Now." My heart dropped, "Are you mad?" I asked, tears filling my eyes, "I-I'm sorry!" the look in his eyes softened as Deidara started to glare at him, "You made the midget cry!" he accused. Pain let out a small sigh as he dragged the two of us and a not so drunken Tobi to his office. "Drink." he ordered, handing us water. "Is this vodka?" I asked, my russian side taking over, "It's water." I pouted, "Then why am I drinking it?" a spine chilling look from Pain was enough to make me drink the water he gave me and more.
"Okay, that's enough. Now then," he started, waiting for an explanation from the three of us, "Why were you, two underage people, getting drunk?" he asked, calmly, then he turned to Tobi, "ANd why exactly did you let this happen?" Tobi crossed his arms, "Lia-chan and Deidara-senpai said that they'd do whatever Tobi asked them to do if the outcome of their taijutsu training ends in a double knockout. It did so Tobi asked them to be nice to each other and call each other cute little nicknames but they got depressed and started to drink!" I could tell Pain was trying to hold in a chuckle as he went back to scolding us. "Is it that hard for you two to get along?"
I stood silent, "N-not exactly. I mean we get along when we're drunk so maybe you can let us get drunk?" I asked, hopeful, "I'm the head of a criminal organisation, not an irresponsible adult. I will not let two underaged kids get drunk." I let out a small sigh, "Worth a try." I was slowly starting to sober up which meant that Deidara was as well, though he kept drinking water like no tomorrow. "Your tolerance really is low isn't it?" I asked, handing him my half full cup. The boy took it and drank out of it, not caring if I had drunk from it before. "Thanks…" he mumbled before finally sobering up.
"I don't drink much… usually." said Deidara, "It took you like five Sake bottles to get tipsy, are you a superhuman or something?" I chuckled at that. Nope, that's just my russian genes in action. "I guess I'm used to it by now." I shrugged while Pain shot me a horrified look, "Five? Did you just say five Sake bottles?!" I gulped, "N-not bottles… glasses!" I exclaimed after trying to remember the word. "Don't lie to me." I let out a small sigh. "Fine. Yeah, Deidara- I mean Bunny and I drank five bottles of Sake together."
Pain facepalmed, "How did you not get alcohol poisoning…" he mumbled before looking back up. "This behavior is unacceptable. Not only will you go to a store to buy Sake for Hidan since he was the one who bought those but you'll also have to be nice to each other without being drunk. I want you to become best friends. It should be easy seeing as the two of you are around the same age after all." my jaw dropped to the floor, "You can't just force two people to be friends!" Pain shrugged, "I just did, didn't I?" Deidara narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms, "What's wrong with being friends with me, un!" I let out a small sigh, "I'm not saying I'm against being friends with him but you can't just force people to bond like that." Pain sent me a slight glare which made me shut my mouth and sit down. "Alright, looks like you and I are besties now." I mumbled, crossing my arms and pouting.
"Also I'm extending the punishment for the bet you two made to a week. Tobi, you have full control over them. Make them do whatever you want. There's no limit." I could almost hear Tobi's smirk as he turned towards Deidara and I who had now started shaking in fear. "P-please be nice, Tobi," I practically begged, anime tears rolling down my cheeks. "Lia-chan it's not fair if you make that face." hesitated Tobi which only made my puppy eyes larger only to diminish as what Pain said clicked. "You do realise you're letting me stay under the care of a man-child right?" the man nodded before letting out a sigh. "Tobi, you're dismissed. Please wait outside." Tobi nodded and saluted Pain soldier style before leaving the room.
"Aelia." stated Pain ignoring Deidara completely, "You're part of my clan. I know what's best for you so I suggest you trust my judgement." I pouted some more while Deidara widened his eyes, "Yeah okay but come on, I get that we deserve some type of punishment but not that! Though I will say I do appreciate that you aren't all 'Oh she needs to be taken care of, what a defenseless little kid' like Naruto or Sasuke, but I just don't understand why you'd extend the punishment to-"
Deidara cut me off, "You and Leader-sama are related?!" he exclaimed, puzzled, "But… you look nothing alike!" argued Deidara, trying to prove me wrong, "We're distant relatives though it doesn't really matter." I shrugged, "What yes it does!" exclaimed Deidara, "No it doesn't. It's not like I don't get treated like the rest of you." I shot a glance at Pain. "Can we be excused?" the man nodded and signalled us to leave. I noticed he rested his hand on his forehead as we left. I winced. "I think he might be mad…"
"You've been related to him the whole time?!" asked Deidara once again, "Yeah." I answered with a smile, "Does that change the fact that I'm a bitch? No." the two of us chuckled before heading to the lobby, only to be faced with the older members sitting on sofas legs crossed and annoyed looks on their faces. "Did you drink our Sake?" asked Hidan, starting to get frustrated, "N-no." Deidara and I said in unison.
"Now if you'll excuse us, we need to go to the store. Alright great talk bye!" I exclaimed quickly, grabbing Deidara and running for my life. I heard footsteps behind me but I didn't dare look back. I jumped and landed on the branch of a nearby tree, still not letting go of Deidara. "Holy shit this is terrifying!" I exclaimed, hugging the branch, "I mean why are adults so obsessed with their alcohol?" asked Deidara, shivering as well. "We probably can't go back to the hideout now…" I mumbled, anime crying. "I guess not." was Deidara's answer.
"We'll need to go to Ame to get the Sake so they forgive us." I mumbled. Deidara nodded. We headed to the village, drenched as soon as we entered. "The Akatsuki are kind of like gods here aren't they?" Deidara hummed. "Perhaps." we settled into a comfortable silence and went to the nearest alcohol store, or as I like to call it: a bar. "My, my, young lady, what can I treat you to tonight?" asked the barista as he eyed me up and down. I held on to Deidara's sleeve, "Do you have any Sake? We'd like five bottles of the strongest please. And whiskey." the man nodded, "I'm going to need to id you." I winced, "Oh I'm very sorry sir but it seems as though I've forgotten my wallet… You'd make an exception this once… right?" The man started sweating so I decided to do something that every girl has to do at some point, whether it's a joke or serious.
I took my cloak off and shot the man a flirtatious smile, "Please sir? We really have a party to go to." Deidara widened his eyes as he saw me use a non violent manner against a person once refused to. "U-um… ma'am I'm really not supposed to do this…" I pulled my shirt down a little, exposing a little bit of cleavage. "Can't you make an exception? It's only for one time…" I forced a lustful look into my eyes, the man finally caved and handed me the bottles, not even asking for money.
"Thank you kind sir!" I exclaimed, leaving the store, holding onto Deidara's arm until we were out of sight." The blonde chuckled, handing me back my cloak, "I can't believe you seduced that perv into giving us free drinks!" he laughed suddenly, "S-shut up. I was only trying to get the drinks as quickly as possible." I mumbled, blushing and crossing my arms, looking away.
"Alright. Now then… pffft" he started laughing again, "S-stop! It's not even funny!" Deidara continued laughing, "It's just that…" he continued laughing, "You had to cast a genjutsu just to make it seem like you have a cleavage!" I blushed, "You could tell?!" that's when I remembered that Deidarahad trained his eyes to detect any signs of genjutsu. "S-stop laughing!" I exclaimed, my face redder than Gaara's hair. "It's really not that funny! That guy was just a perv!" Deidara continued making fun of me for using a genjutsu to make my boobs appear bigger.
"We can't go back to the hideout…" I mumbled, remembering the angry look on everyone's faces. "We should probably head to an inn or something. They're probably still angry about the Sake." Deidara nodded before freezing in place. "But what if Pain assumes something else?" I chuckled, "Oh come on, grow a pair will ya? I'm old enough to know for a fact that I wouldn't fuck you in a hundred years." the boy glared at me playfully before pointing to an inn. "We can't just let them know we're Akatsuki members or Hidan and the others might find us." I nodded, "Let's conceal our chakra and put our cloaks in this." I took out a storage scroll and checked to see if it was full already.
"Whoops. Can't use this one." I chuckled, putting it back in my pocket. "Hope they didn't decay…" I mumbled under my breath, taking out some chakra paper and drawing the storage sigil on it. "Put the cloak on the paper." I ordered. Deidara did as he was told and put both our cloaks on the sigil, the piece of paper glowing a faint blue before sucking up our cloaks. "There. Now we can go in." Deidara nodded and headed into the inn with me walking behind him. "Good evening sir, do you have two available rooms?" I asked, a sweet smile on my face. The man shook his head and shot me an apologetic smile.
"I only have one room at the moment but it has an unfoldable sofa. Would that interest you?" Just as I was about to shake my head and thank him, Deidara took the keys and slammed some money on the table, "The longer we're outside, the more chances at getting caught we'll have." I let out a sigh, knowing that he was right. "You're sleeping on the sofa." I declared, annoyed. Deidara shrugged and handed the man some extra money, "You never saw us." the man took the hefty sum and nodded.
"Second floor, third door on the right." I thanked the man for his hospitality and followed Deidara to said room. "Genuinely thought you'd threaten to blow him up." I said satisfied that he didn't. "It would've given us away. Besides, there isn't much to blow up anyway." I chuckled and snatched the keys from the blonde, opening the door and getting inside almost immediately. "I'll help you unfold the sofa." I proposed, the man nodded and thanked me. Before going to help him, I put the drinks in the mini fridge that was right next to the queen size and immediately went to the living room, only to see the sofa now broken.
"I pulled too hard." said Deidara with a sheepish smile. I let out a sigh and helped him up, getting a piece of spring that was stuck in his hair out. "You can sleep in the bed with me. Just stay on your side." I mumbled, heading to the bathroom to change into some pajamas I had in a storage scroll. "How many of those scrolls do you have?" asked Deidara through the door, "A lot. You never know when you might need something. For example, here are your pajamas sir." I chuckled, handing him one of Naruto's pajamas. Kid always forgot to pack his own stuff so I had to do it for him.
"Why do you carry men's pajamas around?" asked Deidara snickering, "Because, dear friend, my teammates always forgot to pack their own shit so Sakura and I had to do it for them." Deidara chuckled one more time, god I can just hear the smirk on his face, "You coming out or nah?" he asked. I let out a heavy sigh. "N-no…" I said finally, "Why not?" he asked, genuinely curious. "M-my pajamas are too small for me…" I mumbled, my voice barely above a whisper, "So? Just wear casual clothes." I groaned, "They're in the washer back in the hideout… Do you… have an extra shirt or something?" the boy let out a sigh, "Yeah let me check…" I saw a faint glow from under the door, "Yeah but it might be a little short." I let out a sigh, "I don't care at this point." I slightly opened the door and snatched the shirt out of Deidara's hand. "This is so embarrassing…" I mumbled, wearing the shirt that covered half of my thighs. Smells good.
"I-I'm leaving." I declared, about to open the door when I hesitated. He'll be able to see my scars if I leave with this shirt on. It barely covers my arms. "You coming out or what?" my face flushed as I slowly reached for the handle. Please don't let him see my scars. The boy's cheeks were dusted with pink as I left the bathroom. "A-alright." he cleared his throat. "I'll take this side of the bed." he said pointing at the side that was close to the window. "Okay I-I'll take the other side then." I mumbled getting under the covers and covering my face with them. "Goodnight." I murmured, turning off the lights, letting out a sigh of relief at the fact that Deidara hadn't noticed a thing.
I woke up in the morning in the most cliche poses of all: in the arms of Deidara. Face flushed, I immediately tried to move away but of course, his grip was too strong. Deciding against waking him up, I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep, waiting for him to wake up and push me away himself. A few seconds passed and I felt Deidara's grip on me tighten. Oh no, dude wake up! I tried to pull away but the blonde's grip just became tighter and tighter. I finally heard him groan after a few minutes. Thank gods he's waking up. I was about to cry tears of joy but then, all of my dreams were shattered as Deidara mumbled something about not wanting to wake up and buried his face in the crook of my neck, snuggling into me like a puppy.
I froze there, unable to move, hoping that the boy would wake up soon. When that didn't happen, I decided to give up and go back to sleep. I've lost most of my dignity already, what's more going to do? I adjusted myself so that we wouldn't be touching and turned my back to him, surprised at how quickly I was about to fall asleep. A few seconds passed with neither of us moving but then, the cliche decided to go on and on for the rest of the time that we were in bed. Deidara's arms snaked their way back around my waist as he pulled me against his sleeping form. "Warm…" he mumbled, resting his chin on top of my head. "Please wake up…" I whispered, having had just about enough. I tried to shake the boy awake but it only resulted in him hugging me tighter.
Okay. I officially give up. I made myself comfortable in Deidara's embrace and went back to sleep, annoyed at the situation I was in. "Soft…" mumbled Deidara, his voice husky. I felt my face flush as his lips were now next to my ear. I immediately closed my eyes, forcing myself to go to sleep by reminding myself of the etiquette lessons mother made me take.
I woke up merely minutes later to cold air on my back. I turned around to see Deidara's blushing face. "What?" I asked, my voice a little raspy, "W-what happened?" he asked, "Oh right. Let me explain." I cleared my throat. "You hugged me in your sleep and it was impossible to wake you up." the blush on Deidara's face deepened, "You knew this was happening?!" I let out a sigh, covering my ears. "Calm down, geez, I was only awake for like thirty minutes or something." Deidara laid on his back, bringing his hands to his face, "Ugh why~" he whined. I took that opportunity to get out of bed and get dressed. "Can we keep this a secret?" asked the boy, "Didn't think you'd react that way. Genuinely thought you'd be teasing me with that smirk on your face. Don't worry, it's not like this is anything to brag about." I chuckled, on my way to leave the room.
"Can you take the whiskey and the other bottles out of the mini fridge? It's right next to you." the boy nodded and took out said bottles, putting them in plastic bags. "Now we need our cloaks." I mumbled, deactivating the storage sigil and getting our cloaks. "Aren't you going to give me my shirt back?" asked the blonde, "I'll give it back to you once we're at the hideout." I mumbled, combing through my hair with my fingers. "Would you like to leave right away or after eating breakfast?"
Deidara's stomach spoke for him and thus, we headed straight to the dining room. I noticed a tray of pancakes and took a few on my plate then proceeded to sit in front of the blonde. "Are you going to stay silent the entire time?" Deidara ignored me and kept eating his food, bringing the mood down, "Come on man, it's not like we fucked or anything." I mumbled, drinking a glass of orange juice. "I don't like the idea of having cuddled with someone I barely know. That's it."
I choked on my drink. "Really? I thought you'd be boasting about it." I joked, "Deidara. Friends sleep in the same bed sometimes. It happens. Just let it go." the boy let out a sigh and nodded. "Fine." he regained his signature smirk and took a bite out of his waffle, "Besides, you probably enjoyed it since you didn't wake me up." too hungry to argue I just went along with it, "Sure. You're very comfortable." We finished our food and left the inn, vowing to never go back again.
"And… we're drenched. How great of a surprise, it's not like this village is named Amegakure or anything." I mumbled, letting the droplets of water fall on my forehead. I looked up at the sky, glaring at the rain clouds until a black thing went ahead of me, stopping the rain from falling on me. "You'll get sick if you stay like that for too long. Here." said Deidara, handing an umbrella to me, "What about you oh my knight in shining armor?" I said snickering. "We're sharing, un!" I chuckled and got under the umbrella with him. "Alright let's head back." I said with a worried smile.
"We'll be fine… we'll be totally fine. We bought Sake like Pain wanted." I chuckled, trying to reassure myself. "It's not like they'll actually hurt us…" started Deidara, "I mean they won't hurt you because you're a girl but they'll sure as hell beat the shit out of me." I shuddered, "No beating could be worse than a scolding from the boss, let's agree on that." the two of us gulped as we reached the gates of the hideout. "We could just turn away…" I suggested but Deidara shook his head, "I ain't no coward, un." I let out a sigh and went inside the hideout with him, being greeted by Hidan. "Oh~ same clothes as yesterday, is that your pitiful attempt at the Walk of Shame?" I shot the man a glare before plopping down on the floor of the lobby, not wanting to wet the sofas.
"You're even more of a pervert than you let on, Hidan." I grumbled, taking the bottles of alcohol out of the plastic bags. "How did you get the alcohol? Not only do you look like an eight year old, they're legally obligated to id you." I froze and that as my face paled at Hidan's question. "Aelia seduced the barista for them." I shot Deidara a glare, "Traitor." I growled, scooting away from him, "You deserve it and you know it." I shrugged, "Really? You seemed to be enjoying yourself, Deidara-kun." I said in a high pitched tone. "I swear I'll kill you one of these days." I shrugged at what the blond said and turned to Tobi.
"How are ya?" I asked, seeing how he looked depressed, "Lia-chan left Tobi alone." mumbled the boy, his voice cracking. I gave him a side hug, "Eh~ Don't you worry, Tobi, I'll never leave ya!" I said with a smile. Tobi raised his head and looked me in the eye… I think… "Promise?" he asked, I nodded, "Even more. I pinky promise." Deidara chuckled as he watched the scene unfold, this action did not go unnoticed by Tobi though, "Deidara-senpai, you promise too." ordered the boy.
"Huh? I ain't doing that childish thing!" exclaimed Deidara, crossing his arms, "But senpai has to listen to whatever Tobi says for four more days!" argued the boy. "Yeah Deidara. You need to obey." I smirked. The blonde let out a sigh and interlaced his pinky with Tobi's. "...I pinky promise…" he mumbled, making Tobi and I explode in laughter. "Stop laughing dammit!" exclaimed Deidara, immediately ripping his finger out of the promise. "Now then senpai, your finger will fall off if you break your promise." said Tobi. I froze. Are pinky promises really that morbid? I got up and went towards the fridge, "You're eating again?! You stuffed your face when we were in the inn!" I shot him a glare, "I couldn't enjoy the food I was eating since your ass looked depressed throughout the entire meal. Over something so stupid too." The boy blushed and immediately shut his mouth.
"Today I achieved the impossible." I said with a satisfied smile, "I finally managed to shut Deidara up." I came back to the lobby with a cup of tea in my hands. "At least I didn't cast genjutsu to- '' I immediately clasped my hand on his mouth, "Tut-tut. We don't talk about that." Konan raised a brow, intrigued. "We all know you seduced a barista to get some booze. What could be more embarrassing than that?" Deidara smirked, "Putting a genjutsu on yourself to make your boobs bigger because that's how flat you are." I shot the boy a glare.
"At least I didn't cuddle someone in my sleep and then acted all sad and depressed about it later even though I distinctly remember you saying "It's so warm and soft~". But that ain't none of my business." I smirked, drinking some of my tea. "You…" growled Deidara while the rest of the Akatsuki members chuckled. "You asked for it Dei," I smirked, drinking another sip of my tea. "This tea is really yummy, what kind is it?" I asked, "Cherry blossom." replied Konan. I cocked my brow but didn't say anything, just enjoyed the sweet scent of the tea.
"But seriously, Aelia, what is it with you and blondes?" asked Kisame, I slowly turned to face him, "YOU KNEW?!" I exclaimed, horrified, "Yeah. Itachi never believed me though." I let out a frustrated sigh, "Can we please change the subject now?" I asked but Konan became interested, "What is it? I would like to know." I shot Kisame a begging look but he ignored it. "Aelia has a girlfriend back in leaf." I froze as everyone turned to me, blank looks on their faces, "Alright first of all: I had a girlfriend, and second of all, my romantic life is none of your business and I would like to know how you even know of her." Kisame shrugged, "Itachi and I heard your rant to Sasuke about how your-" I cut him off. "We don't talk about that. Ever." the blue skinned man shrugged. "Whatever." he mumbled.
"So you like girls?" asked Hidan, I shrugged, "I like both." they all seemed to accept that response and didn't ask further questions. "Suddenly, a lot makes sense." said Konan as she met my eyes. I froze. "No. Nothing makes sense. You're mistaken." I said a little panicked. "I'll be in my room if anybody needs me." I chuckled awkwardly before heading to my room. "Nobody tell the boss about this," I requested, immediately coming back to the lobby just to say that. Most people nodded their heads except for Hidan. "Seriously?" I deadpanned, annoyed, "It's not even important so why would he need to know?" I asked. Hidan smirked, "Oh I don't know. I just like seeing people grovel." I glared at him, "You're the embodiment of evil." I growled going to my room. "It won't be the last time I finish your drinks if you tell him, Hidan." I threatened, opening the door. "Fucking bitch." I heard him mutter.
I threw myself on the bed. "Great. Couldn't stay in the closet for even a week."
