5 months later, forest outside of Moshigara…..

Alba was walking through the woods when he saw two vampires jump from trees. This was Kevin and the other vampire slave. He's been trying to get the king to let his boys live in the castle with him, but he won't budge. He said something like "If people found out that undead were living here, they might kill me!".

He shrugged as he remembered the quote. He then sat on the floor as he asked Kevin to sit with him. He had been seeing Kevin and his friend every once in a while when he wasn't studying.

He actually could almost read anything at this point in his education. He only got 3-4 hours of teaching from the teacher the king gave him. Good thing he was undead, he could always practice whenever he wanted. Writing is easy to practice compared to reading so he chose reading first.

"Man this is the life Kevin. This is everything I wanted and more. Not only do I get to do what I want whenever I want, but I'm also treated like royalty. This sure in hell beats Earth!" Alba said as he stretched.

Alba wasn't lying when he said that. Alba could do whatever he wanted in this world. With his strength he could destroy the world. Instead he rather sloths around and does things that he could never do on Earth. An example would be laying on the soil and feeling the grass on your back. This truly was life.

The only problem was that he was undead. Most undead can't sleep. As far as he knew, he also couldn't have children. That was a bummer. Also as a vampire, eating food was more painful than being a human. A vampire's teeth are only made to suck blood after all. Well at least he would never die from age.

"I wonder if i'll find more players like me though. I mean I can't be the only player to be bought here. What do you think Kevin?" Kevin gave a nod and groaned quietly. "Maybe you're right Kevin. I might need to watch out for players as well. Most players back in Yggdrasil hunted heteromorphs like me for a multitude of reasons."

"It's always nice talking to you Kevin. You know just what to say most of the time. Hopefully the other vampire slave is keeping you good company." He said as he patted Kevin's bald head. His red eyes glowed brighter in response. Alba wondered if Kevin actually felt emotions. AI didn't have emotions in Yggdrasil. They just did what they were programmed to do.

"You remember Glasco right Kevin? He was the human we traveled with to the capital. We actually became closer friends since then, but he still holds a grudge that I'm the reason why he lost some trust from the king. To be fair I didn't see that coming when I asked him to bring me with him. I never understood people even when I was human." he said as he sighed.

Alba has always been an outcast when he was on Earth. Alba was the one always left out of events because people knew how he was. He did things for mostly personal gain without thought for the people around him, but sometimes he did selfless things for what seemed to be random. He didn't have many close friends. Even his family wanted nothing to do with him. They tried to raise him to be like them, but all that did was make him "Different". At least that's what they called me when people tried talking about me to my parents.

Alba had a decent life on Earth, but it was nothing like this. His family was rich, but after they essentially disowned him when he finished school. He then realized how cruel the world is. The horrid conditions that people below him were forced to work in. Having to live in a small and run down apartment. Working hard and barely getting any money. It made him humble that's for sure.

I still don't know why they had disowned me. Was not being able to fit into his family so bad that it was worthy of complete abandonment? I will never understand stuff like that. Come to think of it, my parents were not any better than scum and they thought they had the right to cast him out! That was fucked up. Maybe they just didn't like me.

Good thing I never got along with his parents or his siblings. My parents were assholes. My younger sister was a drug addict that was too good at hiding it and my eldest brother was a rapist and manipulated people around him. Yet I was the one that was disowned. I truly got screwed over. His family was as corrupt as the businesses the common man worked in. That doesn't even mention my other issues. Maybe evil just wanted to birth evil.

He then looked at Kevin. He was saying all this in his head, yet he felt like Kevin could hear him. Kevin was silent, not even a noise. Kevin didn't look sad, but because the link between a created undead was there. Kevin felt great sorrow for Alba and he felt it.

"Thanks for the sympathies my friend. Good thing I can put all that crap behind me now. There is nothing, but a bright future ahead us now." Alba said as he stood up. He then looked at Kevin

"Alright back to your trees you two. I'll be back when time allows it." He said as the vampires swiftly jumped into the trees they've been hiding in for months.

Time to [Gate] back to my room. Good thing nobody is allowed to be in my room or else I couldn't do this at all. If people found out I had this. I definitely would get pestered to take people places. He then cast the spell a black and purple portal opened. He then stepped through the portal to enter his room.

7 minutes earlier in the King's Castle…

Glasco was walking to Alba's room so they could do something. After all he has gotten much work from the king after coming here with Alba. He is still a little salty about losing trust in the king because of him. Yet, Alba became a friend over the past couple of months. Alba seemed to be more human than most people. He finally arrived at Alba's room and stopped and knocked

"Hey Alba I have nothing to do and i'm bored. Wanna go to the Magic Academy today. I can show you the talent holder there." Yet nobody said anything and that worried him. He waited for 5 minutes to respect his privacy and then opened the surprisingly unlocked door.

When he entered the room his eyes went wide at what he saw. A purple and black portal was opened inside of Alba's room and Alba had stepped out of it. The portal then disappeared and Alba looked behind him to see a dumbstruck Glasco. Alba hadn't told him about the gate spell yet. He didn't want to be constantly pestered for it so he kept the knowledge a secret.

Glasco with amazement said "What is that?! I've never seen something like that before. What does it do and what tier is it." Alba looked at him and thought for a sec before saying "It was a spell called [Gate]. If I remember correctly it is a 9th tier teleportation spell. I can only go to places I've been to before though."

Glasco then soaked in the info and nodded his head "If you can cast two tier nine spells. You truly are a force to be reckoned with. I bet you have more ninth tier spells don't you?"

Alba then rubbed the back of his head and said "Maybe I do or maybe I don't. That's not important right now though. Why did you come in my room when no one is allowed in here?"

"I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the Magic Academy. They had a talent holder that I want you to see. You weren't answering so I waited a bit and came to see why. Now that I know why and I told you what I came to tell you. Want to go or not?"

"Aren't you a bit surprised that I could use another ninth tier spell? I mean this isn't normal by any stretch of the imagination. You didn't seem to be surprised past the initial shock of seeing the portal." Alba said curiously

"I don't know actually. I guess some part of me just assumes that you are capable of so much more. I guess I was right. Now do you want to go today or tomorrow?"

Alba was thinking for a bit 'The fact that he wasn't surprised is a little worrying or he could be hard to surprise. Either way his reaction was a little interesting. People always seem to catch me off guard when I least expect it. At least it added spice to this world.' He then realized that he had Glasco just looking at him while he was thinking and finally answered him.

"Why don't we go tomorrow. After all, I would like to practice my reading a bit more. I want to get to writing as soon as possible so i'll see you tomorrow ok."

"That's fine. I come before the sun reaches the highest point in the day. That's mainly due to duties that I have to take care of. So see you tomorrow Alba." He said as he walked away and closed the door.

"I mainly used that as a way to delay the time. I'll just lay in bed for the rest of the day I guess." Then Alba just started to lay in bed and just laid there for the rest of the day.

In the halls outside Alba's room….

Glasco quickly rushed to his quarters that were on the other side of the castle. The second he entered he quickly shut and locked the door. He then fell to his knees and said "What the FUCK! HE knows more than ONE ninth tier spell. This is insane!" He couldn't even pray if he wanted to. Myoto is an atheist country. There was no god to believe in so he could only accept reality as it was. He finally understood why people believed in gods.

When situations appeared that defied all logic and broke the boundaries of what was normal. It was hard to take in. Alba could have five more ninth tier spells or even more. He was clearly hiding his power for a reason. It was so much to accept that his power was this great.

Glasco finally stabilized and came to his feet. He felt a little dizzy after coming too fast to his feet. He then said "Well I better make the most out of this. He seems like a nice guy though. He did save my life too. I'm so lost, I don't know what to think anymore. My brain is a mess. I need some rest."

He then started to move to his bed. He started moving into the soft blanket and laid on his back. He then looked at the ceiling. Even though it was still very bright outside. He didn't have any energy left. He then fell asleep with no problems, hoping everything goes good tomorrow.
