The news about the Emperor siding with Katsumoto, but also cutting ties with Omura was a relief to Katsumoto and the rest of the samurai. If the decision had been to continue with Omura plans, without a doubt the samurai would have put up a fight against the build of the railroad. But they were thankful at the fact the Emperor sided with Katsumoto.
The sight of the village was a welcoming sight. Although the village brought relief to many in the group, there was still seriousness throughout them. Katsumoto and the rest of them knew Omura was still a threat to them. Omura had enough money and power to seek revenge. Katsumoto knew they would still need to be cautious.
Ana rubbed her lower abdomen when she felt her stomach make an unsettling turning sensation. She could feel the wave of nauseousness come over her. The moment Ana walked up the pathway up to Ujio and her home, she sprinted over to a nearby bush and threw up.
Ujio froze in his spot, not quite understand what has happen, but soon he rushed over to her. He rested his right hand against her back, moving his hand with a gentle touch and a circular motion. She was thankful for the comfort as she continue to throw up.
When she finished, Ana stood back to full height with a groan.
"Argh, I hope this morning sickness is done soon." Ana mumbled.
"How did I not notice you having morning sickness before?" Ujio questioned with raised eyebrows.
"Usually it happened when you were out on the training field." Ana told him.
Ana turned away from Ujio to spit a few times to get the acid taste out of her mouth. She sighed and rubbed her hand against her lower belly. Without another word to Ujio, Ana walked up the porch of their home and entered. Ujio was close behind her. When Ana glanced back at him, she could see the concern across Ujio face. Ana could not help but give him a reassuring smile. She rested her hand upon his right forearm.
"I am fine. Pregnant woman will go through this." Ana assured him and gave his arm a gentle squeeze.
The concern on his face only eased up a little, but it still lingered upon his face.
"I will make you tea." Ujio said then he walked to the kitchen area to perform the task of making tea.
A soft sigh escaped from Ana, but she smiled nevertheless. She sat herself down near the hearth, where she watched Ujio build a fire to heat up the tea inside the teapot. Her eyes were focus in on Ujio, always finding enjoyment in the way he moves when he performs a task. Whether it was watching him train or make tea, he emphasis on every little detail.
Ana thanked him when he handed her a cup of tea. She saw him stare at her while she took sips of the tea. Slowly, she lowered the tea cup from her lips and she stared back at him with raised eyebrows.
"Ujio, I am fine."
Ujio sat up even more straighter than he already sat. He realized she caught his thoughts and knew where his thoughts were focus on.
It was obviously clear Ujio would be very overprotective of her now. Every little thing she would do, she was pretty sure Ujio would watch her like a hawk.
Ana lifted the tea back up to her lips to take a small sip, her eyes were staring at him over the brim of the cup. She watched as Ujio had his own cup of tea, taking sips from it also. She was glad Ujio relaxed a tiny bit and not as tense anymore.
When the tea was all finished, everything was cleaned up. Ana walked down the hallway until she came to the bedroom. She slid open the shoji door and stepped into the bedroom, taking a deep inhale in. She was happy to be home.
Hands slid along her lower back and came around her body to rest against her lower abdomen. Ana shut her eyes and she leaned her body back against Ujio's strong body. His hands moved away from her abdomen to grasp the ends of her obi. She relaxed more against his body and felt him tug at her obi to begin to undress her for the night.
The obi dropped to the ground and soon everything else from her body followed. She shut her eyes and she tilted her head back against his shoulder to feel his mouth brush up and down the side of her neck.
Ana turned around in her husband hold to face him. Her hands tucked inside his sash and she tugged it enough to loosen it then she pulled it off his body. Ujio pressed his forehead against her own forehead while she pushed his kimono off his body with his help. His hands came up to grip her sides in a soft manner. He led her backwards toward their futon. With ease and gentleness, Ujio lowered Ana onto the futon and he hovered over her, staring at her for a few moments. After a few moments, Ujio lowered his head down and pressed his lips against her own. Her arms came up and wrapped around him, kissing him in return with deep passion.

When Katsumoto requested Ujio presence immediately, Ana knew there was something wrong or something happened.
Ana stood on the front deck of Ujio and her home, watching Ujio walk alongside Nathan and Nobutada. The three men were heading into the direction of Katsumoto's family temple. She began to believe how they would most likely discuss about the future of the village. Discussion about how they would need to take caution due to Omura.
When the men were out of her sight, she walked back into the house and found herself in the mood to do some chores. She started with the wood floors. She scrubbed until the wood floors were shining. When the floors were done, she moved onto Ujio and her bedroom to change the sheets on the futon. Then she freshened up the rest of the room with incense.
While she cleaned Ana thought back home in America. She remembered how some pregnant women mentioned about going through a cleaning rampage and rearrange everything inside their homes before the arrival of the baby. As Ana thought about it more, she believed those women called it nesting. It made Ana to wonder if this was what she was doing, nesting or not nesting. She had this sudden urge to clean everything throughout the house even though some areas in the house were already spotless.
The spare room was used as her own personal sketching room. Ana knew this room would become the baby's new bedroom.
Ana stood in the middle of the room and she turned in a slow, small circle. She was thinking what would need to be placed in this room for the baby. She made a mental note to visit Taka to talk with her about pregnancy and about having a child.
Ana left the room and walked to the kitchen area where she began to start an afternoon meal. As she cooked, she had to resist eating all the vegetables. A sigh escaped her. She was having a funny feeling she would be eating a lot without hesitation or a second thought. She could only imagine Ujio's expression wherever she got the urge to eat.
A small laugh escaped her at the image. She knew it would be interesting for the next months of her developing pregnancy with Ujio by her side.

A look of seriousness was set on Ujio's face. He sat with Katsumoto, Nobutada and Nathan. Ana was curious. She knelt down by the low table to serve the four men green tea. She was trying to not let her curious eyes scan them.
Ujio had returned home when the sun was at its highest peak. He mentioned about there being preparations to the village in order to protect it. Ana knew he spoke of the dangers Omura could bring if Omura seek retaliation.
Ana could not help but listen to the men talk. She sat in the kitchen area, listening them talk about certain areas in the village to defend from. The areas where they could lure in any enemies, and separating their ranks to weaken them and attack. Ana could hear Nathan put in a good amount of input about battlefield strategies and formation. A few murmurs would be heard after Nathan's explanation, which Ana assume they were taking in Nathan's plans as reasonable. Her eyes lifted up from her lap when she heard the men began to move toward the kitchen area.
Slowly, Ana stood up from her spot with her hands clasped in front of her. She watched as the men appeared. They gave a small bow for the green tea. Katsumoto and Nobutada left the house together. Nathan stood back for a few more moments to speak with her.
"How has everything been?"
"Good, a bit of morning sickness, but overall I have been fine." Ana explained with a small grin.
"If you need anything due to the pregnancy, Taka said she is but a call away." Nathan informed her.
"Yes, and thank you. I was going to speak with her soon." Ana said while she came to stand closer to Nathan.
"For now, rest Ana." Nathan smiled before he gave a small nod and left the house.
A hand came to rest on her lower back, which made her to turn her head to stare at Ujio. His hand slid across her lower back and soon his arm wrapped around her waist. He held her against him in a gentle manner. She bowed her head to stare where Ujio rest his hand upon her lower stomach where their son or daughter was growing.
"Your brother is right. You should rest."
"I am fine."
"You have been running around all day doing chores. For me to tell you to rest…" Ujio drawn out with raised eyebrows.
"You have a point." Ana whispered as she turned in Ujio hold.
She stared up at him with a gentle smile.
Ana pulled away from him to walk toward their bedroom to rest. Ujio followed her, but he paused in the doorway of their bedroom to watch her. She made herself comfortable to lay down to rest. He stepped back from the doorway to slide the shoji door, but left it a little bit open.
Ana laid herself down and shut her eyes. A sigh escaped her as she felt the relief of being off of her feet. It did not take her long to fall into a light nap.
Ujio would check up on her throughout her time resting. He stayed within the house as a sense of being over protective flowed through him. With the planning to prepare any surprise attacks by Omura, Ujio wanted to stay around Ana, especially with her being pregnant with their first child. Ujio knew Katsumoto knew how Ujio wanted Ana in his sight or presence at all times. He knew he was being very over protective, but he did not want to take any chances. He was on guard at all times. He had a duty to protect the village, but also, as a husband to protect his wife.
Ujio sat outside on the back porch of the house with his various blades and weapons, slowly sharpening and cleaning each of them with patiences. His eyes would flicker up whenever he saw a movement, but he caught sight of small animals in the woods. He watched for a few minutes, watching the way the animals move and to make sure they were not running from anything which scared them. When everything looked normal, Ujio continued to take care of his weapons.
When Ujio focused on the maintenance of his blades, he lost track of time. He would take his time in every little detail about his weapons, making sure everything was perfectly fine. He was sheathing one of his wakizashi when he heard movement inside the house.
Always on guard, Ujio stood up from his spot and he stepped into the house. As he walked through the house, he came to a pause as he watched Ana make a pot of tea.
"I thought you would be resting."
"I have been resting for a while Ujio. The sun is starting to set." Ana pointed out as she sat back on her heels.
Ujio turned his attention to the open back door and realized Ana was right. The sun was starting to go down. The setting of the sun made him think about how he lost time whenever he focus on his blades. His attention came back on Ana to watch her make the tea. Ujio saw she had pulled out a few food items from the pantry to start their dinner.
Some reason, watching Ana do the usual house chores made Ujio unease. He understood the roles of what to do around the house, but Ujio did not want Ana to strain herself while pregnant. But also, since his marriage to Ana, her personality and the way she presented herself, Ujio wanted to help her with everything because she would help him in any sort of chores he does.
Ujio found it only fair he would help her, especially in her fragile state. He wanted to make sure she did not put any type of strain upon their little one.
With the tea made, Ujio began to help Ana with dinner.
"You do not have to help, Ujio. It is fine."
"I wish to." Ujio said.
Ana held back a grin as she glance at Ujio, watching him help her out. She has a funny feeling he would be helping her out a lot because of her being pregnant with their first child. She also knew how Ujio overprotective he was over her. But he was going to be a lot more overprotective and cautious around her.
When dinner was all set and done, Ana could not help but show her appreciation to Ujio. Before they would carry the tray of food into the other room, Ana rested her left hand upon his cheek to draw his attention onto her. She pressed herself against him and she leaned up to peck his lips.
There was no words to be exchange between them. Ujio knew she thanked him through a kiss. He bent his head down to press another against her lips before they pulled away. He rested his hand on her lower back and he stared down at her with a soft look. Together, they brought tray of food in and ate together with a peaceful vibe.
