Morgan just stared at Robin for a few moments.

"Please tell me you weren't in the room when the decision was made," Morgan said bluntly. "It's not a very good strategy to send someone who's being targeted by the exact same person you're trying to locate. Unless you hate them and want to use them as collateral and-or bait, but I would like to think that you don't hate me."

"I'm your mother, Morgan," Robin reminded him gently, "Even if you went down in history as a mass-murderer and personally killed me yourself, I could never wholly hate you." She paused for a few moments to take a breath. "But, no, I was present. I know it's an extremely fallible plan, but like I said earlier, Lucina shouldn't be traveling alone and you're the only person who isn't busy or won't annoy her endlessly."

"Why not send Eisso with her?" Morgan asked, genuinely curious (and, quite frankly, very confused).

"Ocielle probably won't let him leave on such short notice," Robin replied. "It's something that should be done quickly; it would be best not to wait until last minute."

"I agree, but…there's still room to question the logic in the suggestion," Morgan said. He wasn't trying to sound rude or disrespectful, but he was pretty sure he came off that way.

Thankfully, Robin was on the more easygoing side parenting-wise, so she didn't call him out on it. "You won't have to encounter her directly; just figure out where she is and come right back."

"Reconnaissance, basically," Morgan said. "And you can't ask literally anyone else to do it..?"

"Everyone who can help are too far away," Robin replied. "Me, Chrom, Malin, and Lissa are all too busy, and there isn't a suitable replacement nearby."

"So I'm your only option?" Morgan asked to confirm. Robin sighed and nodded slowly. "Alright, then. I assume you already have a set time for us to leave?"

"Early tomorrow morning," Robin said. "Tomorrow afternoon at the latest." She paused for a few moments. "And, if nothing else, you might find some time to practice sword fighting."

Morgan nodded; Robin had taught him magic up until he was about seventeen, which was when she got too busy and recommended private study. Unable to find someone to train with (he was always better at learning combat with another person, and his previous training partner, Eisso, became busy as well), he eventually settled with learning how to wield a sword instead. Perhaps ironically, he has yet to learn anything besides defensive positions, and it's been a little over a year. He had to agree, though, that it made a decent excuse for him to ask Lucina to teach him a little bit of what she knew.

"You won't need much, but you might want to start packing today so you can leave earlier tomorrow," Robin suggested. She started heading towards the door. "And I'm sorry for always leaving like this, but I need to start on the things I should do today. I'll see you at dinner at the latest."

"Alright," Morgan replied. He was a little disappointed, yes, but it was to be expected; he knew his mother was busy, and he didn't believe that it would change. Besides, he (theoretically) didn't need as much parental attention and supervision since he was technically an adult now. It was still a little saddening when Robin had other things to do, but he didn't want to ask her to neglect her job just to spent a bit more time with him.

Robin left after a quick smile and nod, leaving Morgan there for a few moments before he started wandering around the castle.

Morgan simply walked around aimlessly for a little bit. The castle was big enough that you could spend hours just looking through the halls. Most of the lesser-used halls were kept simple and unadorned, but there was still the occasional painting or sculpture—heck, sometimes there was a bit of clutter lying around as well (books, spare paper, and the like). He liked to go through the unadorned and neglected halls just to appreciate how much older they look; cobwebs and dust always seemed more appealing when you were looking at them with a historical standpoint.

Eventually, he made his way down to the training area. There were a few people out and about, none of which he recognized, but the training area was one of the places kept off-limits—mostly due to the fact that training was more-or-less used to relieve stress and thus tended to get a bit out of hand.

That being said, he wasn't that surprised when he found Lucina there. She noticed him almost instantly.

"Hey," she said. She turned towards him, lowering her sword. "I was just trying to catch up on the training I missed. Did you come to spar?"

"I'm just wandering," Morgan admitted. He sat down on the grass just outside the marked off area. "I don't really want to study, so I figured I could see if anyone was in the training area and—lo and behold!—here you are, showing the training dummies that you are infamously stronger than almost everyone you go up against."

"Almost," Lucina agreed. "I have yet to beat Father. I don't think I've ever been able to duel one-on-one with any of the other adults, though."

"You have a winning streak of fourty-three wins, including rematches," Morgan pointed out. "Not including rematches, seventeen wins. I'd say that's pretty impressive."

"I'll take your word for it," Lucina replied, smiling a little. She turned back towards some of the training dummies, and Morgan simply watched her for a little while.
