Tucker ran down the street looking for any sign that his friends were near by. There was no damage or noise coming from anywhere so he stopped and thought for a bit on what to do next. Then he suddenly got an idea. Yanking out his PDA he searched for the Fenton signal the earphones give off once they're active. Nothing popped up so he kept moving down the street waiting for the signal to pop up so he could pinpoint Sam's location.

With Dark Danny fighting Danny…

Danny got briefly distracted by Sam's excitement and failed to dodge a shot to the rib that cause his arms to loosen enough to let go of Sam. He immediately went to dive after her but was grabbed by the back of his neck before he could get anywhere. "SAM!" Danny reached out with futile effort.

"Now you'll see how it feels to lose the ones you love most. If you won't let me execute my plan then it'll be at the cost of your happiness too." Dark Danny spoke into his ear as he clutched Danny tighter to prevent him from escaping. "No!"

Danny continued to struggle as he heard Sam screaming in panic and falling towards the ground. He grabbed Dark Danny's wrist to steady himself before throwing his head back as hard as he could to headbutt him. Dark Danny clasped his nose in pain as Danny wasted no time in shooting off after Sam. "Sam, change! Change now!" His head was a bit dizzy from the hit but he did his best to shake it off and focus on going as fast as he could towards her.

He saw a blue light form around her and slowly separate and start to spread across her body. They were at about 5,000 feet when he realized he wouldn't be able to grab her in time. "SAM!" He heard her scream again and saw her hold her hands out. "NO!"

Suddenly, there was a bright blue light that flashed over her and then she was gone. "What?" Danny looked on in confusion as he finally made it to the ground. He looked around for any sign of her and found Tucker instead- holding the Fenton thermos. "Tucker?"

Tucker was breathing hard and looked like he just finished having a panic attack. His PDA was on the ground a few feet away, seemingly cracked. "Da-Danny. Did- was that- I-" He couldn't seem to finish any sentence so he just pointed at the thermos.

Danny sprinted the short way over to Tucker and grabbed the thermos. He pressed the release button and out popped Sam who fell over to the ground immediately.

"Ow!"

"Sam!" Danny yelled her name for about the 10th time in the last 5 minutes. He threw himself down to her side and helped her sit up. After checking her over for any injuries, he sighed in relief when he found none.

"Dying didn't hurt as much as I thought it would considering I fell to my death." Sam muttered more to herself.

Tucker seemed to finally find words again and chose now to talk. "You didn't die…well technically I guess you're half-dead but you definitely didn't plummet to your death."

Sam looked up to Tucker, then to Danny, down at her body, and back to Danny again. "I'm…alive?" Danny chuckled a little as he nodded.

"Mostly."

Sam went to stand up and took another moment to look over herself. "Am I…omg I'm like you. I turned into a ghost!" She seemed on the edge of panic as well as extreme fascination. "It worked!" Feeling on her side and touching her head, she noticed there was no longer a headache and her stiches and scar were almost barely there.

Before she could look into her new circumstances any further she heard someone yell 'look out!' as she was shoved harshly to the side right before a blast hit the ground where they were previously standing.

Dark Danny landed on the ground in front of her but hit Danny with a roundhouse kick as he came towards him before turning to her. "Ah, so there was enough ectoplasm for a full transformation. I guess it was just too concentrated in one spot."

She backpedaled quickly until her back slammed into what felt like the brick wall of a building. "I could use a hand over here!"

"Use your powers!" Tucker yelled as he frantically searched for something to help in backpack. The thermos wasn't working due to the blue belt on Dark Danny's waist.

"How?!" Sam yelled as she ducked out of the way of Dark Danny grabbing her. She ran behind him and back towards Tucker and Danny.

Danny had recovered and was up next to them. "Shoot ecto-blast out your hand by focusing on directing all the prickly feelings in your body to your palm." He ran back towards Dark Danny as Sam held her palm up.

She focused once more and felt her palm start to tingle. Tucker spoke up with worry in his tone. "Um…I don't think it's supposed to be blue." Right as he finished his sentence, an ice shard shot out towards the two Danny's causing both of them to look back in surprise.

"Heh, sorry!" Sam said just as surprised as them. Apparently she focused on the wrong tingly sensation and shout out ice instead of ecto-blast.

"No, that's good keep shooting at him. Just…try not to hit me!" Danny grunted as he took a punch to the gut but swept Dark Danny's feet out from under him.

"Danny, get the belt off of him and we can suck him into the thermos!" Tucker spoke as he grabbed the thermos to have it ready. Hopefully Danny weakened him enough to a point where he couldn't bust out.

"On it!" Danny focused his attention on damaging the belt enough to get it off. It seemed similar to the spector deflector but modified to not shock the user whether they were half ghost or not.

Danny already exhausted did his best to wear Dark Danny down and get the belt off but it was obvious the battle was starting to turn in Dark Danny's favor. Soon Dark Danny was able to land a solid hit to Danny's temple which caused him to stumble to the ground. "Now that I exist outside the timeline, I no longer need you alive. Good bye." Dark Danny pressed his foot onto Danny's chest as he charged up an ecto-blast for a finishing blow.

"Noo!" Sam who was still getting the hang of shooting off anything from her hand, let lose a ice shard that landed squarely on the side of Dark Danny's head.

He grimaced in pain as he turned towards her. Completely forgetting about Danny, he walked towards Sam with the blast now aimed at her. "I'm sure I can find another timeline with another Sam to test." Right as he shot off the blast, Danny grabbed his ankle which caused his arm to shift enough for the blast to miss Sam and hit the side of a building.

Dark Danny growled in annoyance, about to kick Danny's hand off but he didn't get the chance too before Danny froze his lower body to the ground and stopped just before his belt. He used his other hand to grab the belt, freeze it, and shatter it. Danny notably started to shiver as if he was cold before continuing to freeze over the rest of Dark Danny's body.

"You fool. You'll freeze your core and die if you do this!" Dark Danny yelled as he was encased in below zero ice, something even he would have difficulty getting out of. Danny just steeled himself further and kept his hand on Dark Danny, freezing him completely.

As the last bit of Dark Danny froze over, Tucker immediately sucked him into the thermos and capped it. Danny fell face first to the ground with bits of frost coating his body as he shook violently.

"Danny!" Sam and Tucker went to his side and went to touch him but his body was so cold it hurt to touch him. Tucker looked to Sam.

"Sam, we gotta get him to a hospital!" The nearest hospital was a couple miles away and they didn't know if Danny would even make it that long given the condition he was in.

"How? We can't get there fast enough!"

"Can't you figure out how to fly or something?!" Tucker said frantically.

"I can barely shoot stuff from my hands and you expect me to be able to fly through the air!"

"Well we don't have many options here!"

Sam looked thoughtful for a moment. "Wait! We're only a couple blocks from FentonWorks. If we can get to the lab I'm sure there's something there that can help and warm him up."

Tucker looked hopeful for a second until he remembered how cold to the touch Danny was. "How are we going to get him there without freezing our hands off?"

Both of them looked down as they heard Danny groan in what sounded like pain. Then the blue rings appeared around his waist before he went back to human. Tucker put his hand to Danny's skin to test and found that it was more bearable to touch but still pretty cold. "I think we can carry him now but he's still freezing and I'm sure it's worst when he's in human form."

Sam bent to down to pick up the left half of Danny's body and signaled for Tucker to grab the other, ignoring the bone chilling cold that ran through both of them even with Sam still in ghost form. "Then we need to hurry."

With that decided, they made their way quickly to FentonWorks. Once they arrived huffing and puffing after carrying a dead weight 16 year old boy a few blocks, they grabbed the spare key from under the mat to let themselves in. Luckily Jazz was sitting on the living room couch and sprang up to help once she saw them.

"Oh my god!" She went to grab the lower half of his body and almost recoiled in shock for how cold he was. "MOM!DAD!"

Jazz steered them towards the lab door just as it burst open with Jack bounding through, weapons at the ready. Maddie followed closely behind but quickly noticed them carrying Danny.

"What happened?!" Maddie practically screamed as Jack went to scoop the boy from them and went to carry him downstairs.

"He's ice cold and hardly breathing!" Jack bellowed. Maddie was quick to grab some Fenton heated blankets and crank the thermometer all the way up for the vents in the lab.

"We were fighting his evil self and he used his ice at subzero! Dark Danny said something about his core freezing over from doing that." Tucker stated as they watched Jack and Maddie scurry around to get Danny as warm as possible. There was a thud next to Tucker and he turned to see Sam on the ground shivering uncontrollable. "Sam!" He leaned down to touch her only to find that she was freezing too.

"Why does Sam look like Danny in his ghost form?" Jazz asked in a panic.

Tucker's eyes widened in realization. "I think Danny's affecting Sam since she was infected with Dark Danny's ectoplasm. Technically Dark Danny is still Danny so the ectoplasm signature should be the same." He turned to Jazz. "Go get some stuff to warm Sam up too. Maybe if we can get her back to normal that will help Danny too." Jazz ran upstairs to go gather more blankets and a portable heater as Maddie came over with another Fenton heater blanket. "Hopefully this works." Tucker said more to himself than anyone.

Once they had Danny and Sam settled, all there was left to do was wait. This left Tucker on the hot seat for questions.

"Tucker, what's going on?!"

"Why does Sam look like a ghost?"

"Why is Danny so beat up?"

Tucker held his hands up in a placating manner as everyone started inching closer to him. "Okay! Long story short, we were fighting Danny's evil self whose really powerful and found out that he has been slowly infecting Sam with ectoplasm to control her. He controlled Sam for a while and she was beating up on Danny before we figured out how to fight his control and use the powers herself. Danny was still fighting Dark Danny and got beat down and had to resort using his ice at the coldest I've ever seen to restrain him in order for him to stay in the thermos." Tucker held up the thermos that was clipped to his side to emphasize his point. "Then we came back here and you know the rest from there."

Jazz looked thoughtful for a moment. "Not the craziest story I've heard." She stated while Maddie and Jack looked on in shock.

Sam started to stir a little bit under the mound of blankets and heater blasting over her body. "Ugh, it's a little toasty in here." She said as blur rings appeared and she turned back to normally unintentionally.

"Sam you collapsed a little while ago and were almost as cold as Danny. How do you feel now?" Tucker asked as he bent down next to her.

Sam opened her eyes more fully as she responded. "I feel a little out of it but mostly okay. The outside of my body feels a little hot but I still feel kind of chill on the inside. It's weird."

Maddie went to feel Danny's forehead. "He doesn't feel as cold anymore either but he definitely isn't warm and still looks pretty bruised and beat up."

Sam worked to free herself from the prison of blankets. "He should be healing quicker than that." Tucker set his hand on her shoulder.

"I'm sure his body is just working overtime. He did get beat up by you and Dark Danny today so we gotta cut him some slack." He tried to lighten the mood.

Sam sighed. " I guess so." She replayed the last few hours in her head trying to piece together the pieces of her memory. "Oh my- we practically destroyed my room and my grandmothers room!"

Tucker tensed up at that but for a completely different reason. "I also may or may not have left your parents tied up in the closet of their room…" He prepared himself for a scolding but all he got was a laugh instead.

"That's the best news I've heard all day."

"Even better than us beating my evil self?" A voice off to the side weakly stated.

"Danny!" Everyone screamed at the same time.

"Dude, you can't scare us like that! We weren't sure if you were going to make it."

Danny weakly smiled. "I didn't think I was either but there was something warm coming from my side that was keeping my core from completely freezing over… I'm not sure what it was but it eventually started to fade too and I really thought I was going to die. But then it started getting super warm again… and then my core started to return to its normal temperature."

Jazz decided to finally speak up. "Given what Tucker has told us about your circumstances. It seems like you have a connection with Sam that worked in your favor." She frowned as she spoke again. "But this could have been really bad! You need to be more careful."

Jack yelled from behind Danny. "I'll go make some special Fenton soup to help you warm up and feel even better!" Maddie kissed Danny on the cheek and stroked his hair one time before she followed after Jack talking about testing the new soup maker.

Jazz rolled her eyes. "I'll go make sure its edible and that they don't burn the house down." She followed her parents up the stairs leaving the infamous trio on their own.

"So does this mean Sam permanently has ghost powers now?" Tucker asked.

Danny and Sam looked at each other. "I guess we'll have to test that theory out at some point." He tried to sit up but quickly abandoned that idea as he moaned in pain. "But maybe we can wait until my body decides to cooperate and heal back up."

"So can you feel what each other are feeling all the time? DO you guys have even more of a weird lovebird telepathy connection now?" Tucker smirked.

"Tucker!" Both Danny and Sam half-shouted in annoyance.

"…Can we try the ectoplasm transfer on me too? I think it'd be cool to have 3 half-ghost fighting teens. But we need to keep the relationship strictly platonic." Tucker laughed at his own joke.

Sam kicked Tucker in the shin causing him to stop laughing and grab his leg in pain.

"Ow! Alright, I'm done! Geez." He opened his mouth again against better judgement but he actually had something important to say. " We need to figure out what to do with him." Tucker held up the thermos to indicate who he was talking about.

Danny sighed as he thought about dealing with that. "We can take him back to clockwork when I'm better and figure out how to better secure him I guess." You could practically hear the exhaustion in his voice.

"Well good news is that we can soon relax and go on that cruise. I think we've earned the break." Sam stated trying to lighten the mood.

"When do we ever catch a break?" Tucker said ironically.

"Don't jinx it Tuck." Danny stated pleadingly. He couldn't deny that he was looking forward to some relaxation time but hopefully they'd actually get the chance.

"You guys better not go full on lovebird while we cruise. I don't need to see that." Tucker teased.

Sam frowned. "Alright that's it." Tucker took off running as Sam chased after him.

"No, don't hurt me!"

Danny smiled as he closed his eyes and listened to his friends run around the lab. It was always comforting to see that some things never change.

Cheesy ending but hopefully this was good enough to satisfy the masses. I'm starting to get into writing again but obviously i'm older now and will need to do some housekeeping on my profile page and what not. I might even delete these old stories because they seem a bit...young to me haha. I'm also thinking about switching to mostly AO3 because I kind of like the set up better, we'll see what happens. Anyway hope you are staying safe and healthy during this time! Happy quarantine XD!
