Scene 10

(flashback)

Kakashi had just learned who was going to be in his team.

Team 7.

Sakura Haruno.

A pink-haired girl with energy and a surprising but fitting temper.

Sasuke Uchiha

The second to last surviving member of the Uchiha clan.

Kakashi was interested in learning about Sasuke as a person.

Was he anything like his brother Itachi?

Then came Naruto Uzumaki.

The son of the Fourth Hokage.

The boy with the heavy burden of being a jinchuriki.

"Did you find out who you're going to train yet Kakashi san?" asked Kaiya as she came over to Kakashi.

He had been sitting against a tree reading one of his favorite Icha Icha books when he finally got to opening the letter telling him who he was assigned to.

Kaiya sat down next to him.

Kakashi's heart always skipped a beat when he saw Kaiya.

She was getting more beautiful every passing day.

Brushing her hair behind her ear she took the letter.

"Oh.' she gasped in shock, 'Well I guess I'm not surprised."

"Are you okay with me taking care of the two of them?" he asked.

Kaiya stared at the names.

"It's what Minato would've wanted. His own pupil training his son.' she smiled, 'As for Sasuke, I haven't seen him in a while, but I'm sure he'll do great. All three of them. Can I meet with them one day?" she asked, smiling.

Kaiya seemed genuinely happy.

"Of course, you always shadow me anyway." he closed his eyes.

"Hey!" Kaiya shoved him. 'You shadow me too!"

And the two played shoved each other until Kakashi pushed her to the ground and was on top of her.

They stared into each other's eyes.

Kaiya was finally eighteen, Kakashi thought to himself, if he wanted to he could finally confess his love to her.

But something stopped him.

The two blushed as they both sat up.

Kaiya brushed a tangle out of her hair as Kakashi went to grab his book again.

She was thinking to herself, How Kakashi was the only man she ever felt comfortable being alone with.

Safe.

Kaiya then wondered if Kakashi ever went on dates though.

He's always with her when he isn't working, but not 24/7.

Jealousy ran through her veins.

But why?

Kaiya sat up, "Well I'm gonna head back home."

Kakashi looked at Kaiya and got up as well, putting his book in his back pouch.

"I'll walk you home." he insisted.

.

Kaiya laid in her bed staring at old pictures she had kept in a box.

There were more of Minato, Ms. Kushina, and Kaiya all together.

A lot of her and Kakashi as she grew up.

He was always there, he's still always there.

There was one picture of Kaiya and Itachi together that Ms. Uchiha had taken.

That's right, she trusted Itachi once enough to be alone with him.

They used to walk together around the Hidden Leaf Village when Kakashi was on missions.

Ms. Uchiha had taken this picture the second time Kaiya visited their house.

What did Kakashi feel back then, she wondered.

Did he ever get jealous?

Kaiya then went back to thinking of Itachi though.

Sasuke.

He was so little back then and cheerful.

The last time she saw him he had sworn he would kill Itachi one day.

Breaking her heart.

Sasuke had changed.

All alone now.

Then there was Naruto.

She hadn't seen him for a long time as well.

Kaiya was excited to see him again.

Hoping the two boys would like each other, but wasn't shocked when she found out they didn't get along at all.

But things were looking up for once, Kaiya thought.

Kakashi and Team 7 were there.

.

Kaiya couldn't feel her legs anymore.

Her whole body seemed to vanish from her.

She was shaking and her throat felt like it was closing up.

What was happening, how can he be here?

"Oh my little bird, how you have grown all these years." his tongue slithered.

Quickly the Third Hokage got away from Orochimaru and threw a Kunai but Orochimaru deflected it.

Time went by before Kaiya's eyes but yet she still couldn't move.

She was supposed to be protecting Lord Hokage, not allowing him to fight first.

All of a sudden though Orochimaru did a summoning technique.

A forbidden reanimation Jutsu.

Two coffins came out and a third was emerging.

Kaiya's eyes widened.

She knew this technique.

No…

The Third Hokage was ahead of her and stopped the third coffin to emerge completely.

"Oh what a pity, you stopped Kaiya's favorite." Orochimaru smiled, 'ran away to him after me."

"KAIYA!" yelled the Third Hokage who seemed to snap Kaiya out of her trance. "You need to fight!"

Kaiya stared at him but soon nodded.

"What fun! Fighting my sensei and my favorite pupil!" clapped Orochimaru.
