Massiah
I looked Izuku up and down taking in his bloodied wounds. I reached forward and he flinched. I hesitated for a moment, looking him in the eyes. I didn't think I'd have to say out loud my intentions to him after just saving him again. With a deep breath he relaxed and I rested my hand against his chest.
A collection of bullets had grazed the left side of his chest and upper arm. He had been lucky they were only grazes, yet still deep enough to scar. I focused on him, feeling his blood flow and concentrated. I felt the blood welling up in his bullet grazes harden to deep scabs to stop the bleeding. If they reopened they would sting, but not be anything serious. He took most of his body weight on his right leg so with my eyes closed I focused on his left leg. Bullets had done more than just graze there. A bullet had made it right through the lower part of his gastrocnemius muscle. Luckily it was a clean shot and should heal properly over time. To stop such a deep wound from bleeding I had to start hardening and forming the scab from inside the wound and work my way out, ensuring that it was far less likely to reopen. He gritted his teeth a little and kept his eyes shut tightly while I worked on his leg. I knew it was a bit uncomfortable, but it was nothing more than that.
Finally I removed my hand from his chest and he opened one eye to look at me. His other eye was kept closed as blood trickled over it from a head wound. I couldn't see his wound through his hair, but could see where his hair was wet and beginning to matt from the blood. This time when I reached my hand to his forehead he didn't flinch and continued to watch me with interest as I closed the cut on his head.
"You should be more careful and listen to me," I commented more calmly as I stepped back from him, "I may not be there to save you next time" something deep in his green eyes seemed to light up as I spoke. His eyes held hope for something. I stood silently and waited for him to do something next, he intrigued me.
"Kacchan!" he snapped back to attention and spun on his good leg to head to the hallway when I touched his shoulder to stop him.
"I moved him," I said, "while you were busy being a moving target I moved him to outside the front. The police will be here soon and will take care of him" I felt his muscles bunch, he was ready to spring to the front to check on his friend as sirens could be heard approaching in the distance, but I didn't let go.
"We need to talk"
Midoriya
I followed Massiah as she ran through the hallway and out the back door Bakugo and I had come in through. My leg stung worst of all, but nothing like it did before and I could still move on it without too much discomfort. Outside the men and the van were already gone and the sirens were almost here. I went to speak when Massiah, without looking back at me, spoke.
"Not here" she stated. She gazed around the area. Other then the door and the side alley, we were trapped in the small courtyard area. She looked up at the roofs beside us, both on ether side a story or two taller than the casino.
"Take me up there" she said pointing to the building to our left. It was a three story building and looked to an apartment complex.
"T-Take you?" I stammered. She turned to face me.
"I've seen how you move, and you're strong, you can get us up there" she watched me intently as I thought on it, "You did come all this way to talk to me didn't you?"
"Yes!" I answered quickly. I wanted, no, needed to speak to her about her quirk. I wanted to know how to use it and if she knew how I ended up possessing it in the first place. But, she was a villain. Was I really going to help her evade the police?
"Do you always take this long to think things through?" she asked with a slight tilt of her head and a small smirk. I had been standing sill too long, I hoped I hadn't been muttering to myself out loud. The sirens had reached the street and I could hear cars screeching to a halt outside the front of the casino. Any moment now police would come down the alley and find us. Find her. If they caught her she would be taken away, I wouldn't be allowed to see her as a student. I would never get to speak to her again. That's if she even let them take her. She could just as easily hurt them.
Massiah smiled softly and held out a hand to me. I couldn't let them take her. Not yet.
I needed her.
I stepped forward and took her hand and I pulled her towards me. I bent low and scooped her into my arms so I was cradling her. My movement seemed to have taken her by surprise as she flinched, but I held her close as I felt the strength built in my legs and a second later I pushed off with enough force to crack the concrete floor below. In one bound I made it safety to the top of the apartment building. I let Massiah down gently and she stepped away from me. I remained silent for a moment to hear if any of the police below had seen us leave, but I heard no one calling out below. I heard more sirens and from where we stood I could see an ambulance pull into the street and stop in front of the casino. Bakugo would be safe.
I heard Massiah step closer and felt her hand grab mine.
"Let's go" she said softly, "we need to get further away from here before we can talk safely" I let her lead me across the roof top and to the door to allow us down into the building.
