"After speaking with the Ostian spy Leila, Eliwood realizes he must travel to Valor, the Dread Isle. They head straight to the port city of Badon seeking passage. After a long journey, they spot a fog-enshrouded isle on the horizon. Eliwood's father is on the isle, as is the Dragon's Gate. As they draw closer to the isle, Eliwood no longer fears that his father might be one of the conspirators. As the moment of truth nears, Eliwood only prays that he is safe." David said.
"It seems the oceans aren't wanting to stay still today. Likely a sign we're getting close." Jimbei said.
"It's lucky we were able to hire a boat big enough to get us to Valor, and a captain able to take us there." Hope said.
"Yeah...didn't seem like a lot of people were keen on giving us a ride." Mermista said.
"Apparently the rumor is no one who has ever gone to Valor, or rather the Dread Isle as they call it, have never returned from there alive." Robin said. "They were probably ripped to pieces when they arrived."
"Man that sounds scary. But maybe it's just...hey...there's something in the water!" Usopp said.
"Lemme get a closer look." Nana said. "It looks like a drifting ship. And it's got people aboard."
"Need to work on your counting, Nana. One person is on that... wait a sec. That's...it's Ninian!" Rainbow said.
"I'll get her." Mermista said diving into the water and rescuing Ninian from the boat, bringing her on theirs.
"What the heck is Ninian doing out here?" Zephyr asked.
"She's just unconscious right now. Take her to the sickbay." Chopper said.
"Yeah...that's probably best. We have another fight ahead of us." Hera said as several ships were emerging from the fog. "Pirates."
"That would explain that ship's condition. And it looks like they're planning to raid us next." Nami said.
"Well, looks like we've got a fight on our hands." David said.
"What's our strategy here? The enemy will be attacking us from their ships and try to seize ours." Vashyron said.
"Alrighty… The pirates on the starboard side have sword-wielders and an archer. Port side has a ship full of mages." David said.
"Once those ships get close enough, they'll try and board this ship and steal everything in sight." Jimbei said. "However if their ships start to sink before they reach us…"
"We'll avoid having the pirates swarm us. We're going to need a lot of fire power to pull that off." David said.
"Then it's best you let me handle this." Jimbei said. "I know more about how much force a ship can take than anyone here."
"I mean, literally fire power." David said.
"Trust us on this...we won't need it." Jexi said as Jimbei jumped into the ocean.
"They're sitting ducks. Mages, prepare to attack!" the warriors in the other ship shouted.
"Understood." the mages said preparing their spells.
"Spear...Wave!" Jimbei shouted, firing a spear made of water right through their ship and sinking it.
"The hell? We just lost our magic support." the warrior said.
"Jimbei just took out the mages' ship. The sword-wielders aren't anything to worry about. We can manage them easily." David said. "Vera, Teba, you know what to do, right?"
"Of course!" Vera said as she and Teba launched fire arrows at the pirate ship's sails.
"The sails! We won't be able to turn back with them all ripped apart." one archer said.
"It's not just that… They're planning on setting the whole ship on fire!" a swordsman said.
"The hell? They sink the other with water and we get a hot foot?" an archer said as they desperately tried to put out the flames.
"We don't have a choice. Let's ram it into them!" a swordsman said.
"Right!" the crew shouted. The ship then prepared to ram the group.
"Vagabond Drill!" Jimbei shouted, punching the side of their ship, splitting it in two.
"That'll teach pirates to mess with us." Hope said.
"And bought us enough time. We're here." Jexi said as they soon reached Valor unharmed.
"Man, they weren't kidding when this place is kinda creepy." Bow said.
"Okay...we'll dock here for two weeks. If you aren't back by then, we'll leave without you." the ship's captain said.
"Two weeks is more than enough time." Hector said.
"Speaking of which… Is Ninian okay?" David asked.
"She's...completely fine. No sign of any injuries at all." Chopper said. "Though it is weird she was there alone."
"We should probably keep her close. We don't want to risk leaving her alone after the events of last year." Lyndis said.
"Right. You guys remember, right? She and Nils were being chased by someone. He was wearing a black robe and his hood was obscuring his face." David said.
"Black robe... obscured face… no doubt a member of the Black Fang." Mark said.
"But why they would want Ninian is a mystery. Just what is it they need her for?" Hera said as they saw her sleeping peacefully.
