Jumin was leaning to kiss me again when Seven showed up, calling us inside to start the dinner. We followed him inside and sat at the table, me and Jumin holding hands. The hacker got up and called for everyone's attention.
- Nighty everyone! Before we eat, I would like to say a couple of things. First, you all are missing on not having honey butter chips and doctor pepper, but that is a good thing, because I can have more for me. Second and most important… I want to announce that Yoosung and I are going to live together.
- No way! Really? - I said genuinely excited.
- I said I didn't want to make a big thing out of it. - Yoosung said, his face burning red.
- Are you kidding? These are excellent news! - I said with a smile.
We all celebrated their relationship. I was happy to see that Seven took my advice and started to build a future of his own. He was lonely and sad and seeing him open up to someone was a relief. After the party, we left the two lovebirds planning their new routine.
Some days went by, me and Jumin went on a few dates, with him leaving me at Jaehee's door as we had agreed before. He kept his word on getting to know me and grow as a man, for the relief of others.
One day, I was trying to rampage to the massive amount of documents I had piled up on my desk, when he came in through the door on our shared wall. He had his beautiful boy smile on his face and I had crazy rage hair when he approached me.
- I have a special date planned for us tonight. - He said, fixing my hair.
- Special? - I asked, finishing one more task and setting the report aside.
- Something you asked a little while ago. I believe you will enjoy it. - He watched me work.
Technically, he was still my boss and I started to feel the pressure on my shoulders. Even the computer started to add to that by getting slower and slower the longer he watched to a point where I just gave up and turned to him.
- And what it would be? - I asked, getting up and giving a kiss.
- It is a surprise. But I would love to see you using this on our date. - He took a small box from his pocket, revealing a gorgeous pair of black earrings with tiny shiny silver freckles on it.
- This is beautiful! - I said. - But this is…
- This is nothing. I want to shower you with the best money can buy. You are soon to be my wife… - He held me close to kiss me. - I have no desire on saving and losing opportunities to give you gifts.
- I feel bad for not being able to spoil you too. - I rested on his embrace.
- You spoil me more than you imagine.
Jumin pulled my chin up to kiss me and we stayed on it for quite some time. Seeing him happy was another good change and was a bit more showy about that lately. I was also enjoying a little bit of the taste of Jumin Han after being so well on our last dates before Yoosung bursted into the office.
- Angelique! - He said at first. - Oooow sorry! Sorry! I'll come back later.
- Yoosung! - I giggled after calling for him. - What is it?
- I-I was just bringing some documents that came back from proofreading… but I'll come back later.
- I'll take care of that, Assistant Kim. - Jumin stepped up.
- So cold. - Me and Yoosung whispered
Jumin got the papers from a very blushed Yoosung who fled the room right after it. He left the papers at his desk and came back to me for us to be together a little more.
- Why don't you go home early to prepare for our date? I'll finish the rest of it here and I'll pick you up at eight o'clock.
- I can't just leave work… There is a lot I need to do! - I felt bad.
- You would spend all night long here and I want you on a date. For this time, I won't be bothered by it.
- You are so mean…
- I love you, my angel…- He kissed me.
- I love you too.
I smiled at Jumin and gave him a hug before leaving the office. I was excited for that day and I wanted to get ready for the date I had with him that night. This time would be just the two of us and it would be good to talk about our plans for the future. He was very secretive about the place where we were going, I felt I had to be prepared for anything.
As promised he came to pick me up at precisely eight sharp. I opted to use a dark midnight blue knee-length skater dress and black heels, discreet pink lipstick and the earrings he gave me. He kissed my hand and I got in the car before him for us to go to our date.
- We are halfway, sir. - Driver Kim said after some time of him driving around town.
- Perfect. Thank you, Driver Kim. - Jumin said. - My love, if you don't mind, could you wear this blindfold until we arrive at our destination?
- Where did you get a blindfold, Jumin? - I asked, laughing and wearing the object.
- I had to ask for it as a favor from Zen. I am lucky that he hasn't spoiled the surprise.
- Ah! I can smell his lotion on it!... But why spoiling it?
- I had to tell him my full plans for tonight, as he would say it "to save Angelique from the beast within me".
- Zen sometimes sure gets overboard. - I Laughed again.
I rested my head against Jumin's chest. Surprisingly being blindfolded was making me dizzy and using him was a reference point was helping me to stay relatively well. Maybe I dozed off a little, because, when I got back to myself, I heard Driver Kim say that we had arrived. Jumin guided me along some path, into a room, where he warned me about any obstacle in my way.
- Be careful with that step, my love. We are almost to the perfect location.
- Where are we? - I asked.
- You will know in a second. I'll take off the blindfold.
I believe Jumin spun me to make me face him before taking the blindfold off. When I was able to see again, I first met his eyes then to notice the projected stars above me. It took me a second to fully understand what was happening, there was just us in the planetarium where the full presentation was about to start. I kissed him deeply before we sat to watch that beautiful presentation.
Stars and planets surrounded us, they spun around, sparkling bright above us. Jumin, when he wasn't talking about work, knew how to entertain. The date was absolutely perfect. The restaurant he picked was high-end of all high-end restaurants, even to the point that it was a little bit intimidating to be there at.
Sadly, that perfect night had to end. We were back in the car, driver Kim taking us back home, when Jumin brought up our wedding. I was taken by surprise. For some reason I had dismissed the topic from my mind and it caught me off guard.
- Angelique…?
- ah.. What?
- I asked if you wanted to help me with the preparations of the wedding.
- Yes… of course….
- are you having second thoughts?
- No! Absolutely not… I… for some reason… I wasn't thinking about wedding preparations.
- Maybe it is because of what has happened in the recent past. I can take care of it, if you wish so.
- No… I want to help. I always wanted to. Since it is with you, I guess it can be fun.
Months went by on the blink of an eye. The massive amount of work I had didn't get cut in any way just because I was helping him with the wedding plan. Even so, it was so easy. Jumin listened to me and we debated as two grown adults, he accepted some of my childish choices, even when he had all arguments that it wasn't the best one.
As the date approached, I started to get nervous, as any bride would…. I guess…. My friends around me were excited, looking for outfits of their own, preparing to make that day even more special.
