He didn't put me down until we had made it back to the Chocobos. By then, I felt good enough to walk. He treated Yuna like a princess, but I was a sack of potatoes! The nerve! But I let it go since he was going to hate where we were going next. I laughed to myself, as I mounted my Chocobo. Drew looked at me and mounted his. Ben had a clue of where we were going, so when he figured it out he started to laugh. Luckily Ben had picked up the Sigil that we would need to unlock Yuna's Weapon.
As we moved out, Yuna pulled her Chocobo up to mine. She asked why Ben laughed, and I told her that Drew doesn't like cold and ice. She then understood that we were heading back to Macalania, and chuckled. As we jumped back to the main path, I lead my Chocobo to the exit to the calm lands.
As I dismounted my Chocobo, Drew asked me where we were going. I pointed into the icy woods. He shuddered and asked why.
"We have business there. Is there any other reason?" I retorted. He knew I was still mad that he carried me like a sack of potatoes, so he kept his mouth shut. After everyone had two feet on the ground, I lead them into the woods.
We made good time to the other side of the forest, and Drew for a second seemed relieved. That is when I smiled and led them to the path that had been blocked before. When we got to the top, I took the Cloudy Mirror and cleared it with the power of the ice. Now with the Celestial Mirror, we could power up the celestial weapons hidden around Spira. That is when I turned to them.
"Now we have to travel the world getting the special weapons that we need to beat Sin. So to do that we need to put in a lot of work. Wakka, your weapon can be gotten through Blitzball. So you will get dropped thereafter we go to get Yuna's weapon. Then we go back to Besaid for one little item that I keep forgetting." I told them sternly. "We will have to do a little bit without him but if all goes right, Wakka will be a heavy hitter when we go to Sin." Yuna looked at me and asked where was her special weapon, and I told her in the calm lands. Drew demanded to know why we had to do back and forth. I told him if he didn't like it, he could play Blitzball with Wakka. That is when Drew opened his mouth and asked what Blitzball was.
"It is a cross between soccer and football, but it is all done in water. So I hope you can hold your breath for five minutes." I laughed. His face fell so fast, and he started sputtering about how he would follow me even if I took him to the highest mountain and made him stand there. Just as long as I didn't leave him in anywhere with water.
Wakka looked at me and asked why Drew didn't want to play blitzball. That is when I told him Drew's big secret. Drew sinks like a stone. He looked at Drew and laughed. If that was Drew's big secret, Wakka said, then they wouldn't have a problem. But could he still swim was the question I held back.
As we headed back toward the Calm Lands, we found a chest that wasn't there before. We tried to open it, but it wouldn't open. That is when I pulled out the Celestial Mirror. With the light of the Mirror, the box opened by itself. Drew looked at it and pulled it out. A beautiful sword with a golden looking line through it was in his hand. It looked like a two-handed sword, and it seemed to fit in Drew's hand like a glove.
"Drew! It looks like a Celestial Weapon. And it looks like it is yours. Congratulations!" I breathed. He turned the sword in his hands and nodded.
"Are you sure it is for me?" Drew asked, wonder in his voice. I nodded. Auron's weapon was at Mushroom Rock Road, so I knew that had to be Drew's weapon. Ben seemed to get down at the news, and I told him that we will find his as we travelled. That seemed to perk him up. Kimarhi's Signal was here in Macalania Woods, so that was next. They followed my lead, and soon I saw the butterfly of many colors. I set people up all along the stretch and told them to only touch the blue butterflies. When everyone was ready, I touched the butterfly of many colors.
Blue and red butterflies popped up and one by one blue butterflies were caught. After all of them had been caught, and everyone had called out that they caught one a chest appeared. I opened it up only to find the Saturn Sigil.
I called out that it was a success, and when they all gathered around showed them the Sigil. It was the size of my palm and glowed with power. The Saturn emblem shone with brilliance.
"So this is a Sigil? It's so small it will be hard to find them all." Yuna observed. That is when I told her that I knew were they all were, so it would be easier. As we were exiting the woods, a chest appeared in the path. I stopped and examined it.
I saw the inlay of silver and a strange marking on the chest. The Celestial Mirror started reacting and I held it out. The chest opened suddenly and I felt a pull toward the chest. I reached in and out came a staff that just felt right in my hands.
"I am guessing that is a Celestial Weapon, isn't it?" Yuna asked and I nodded. I didn't know what crest and signal would unlock it. My presence here seemed to have changed the story for good or for ill. Well, for now, we would go on and defeat Sin.
As we were leaving that spot, a couple of fiends appeared and we defeated them with ease. Rikku stole a couple of Antarctic Winds, and Lulu casts some spells. Nothing much that we couldn't deal with. But when we made it to the Calm Lands, a Chocobo handler saw us and rented us Chocobos.
We thanked her for letting us rent Chocobos and headed to the Monster Arena. When we got there, the keeper went mad with excitement.
Telling us that he was able to create two new monsters. One from the Omega Ruins, and one from Macalania Woods. After we turned down the chance to fight these two new monsters, I turned toward the chest.
Again, the Celestial Mirror reacted and I held it out. The chest opened and Yuna pushed her way next to me. Yuna felt the pull and reached into the chest.
"The name of the weapon is Nirvana. Once we get the Moon Crest, we can fully unlock it." I told her. She asked if I already had the signal, and Ben opened a pouch. Handing me the Moon Signal, I showed Yuna. Yuna looked at it in wonder.
"Ben knew enough to grab it. Belgamine dropped it." I told her. "The matching crest is in Besaid. So we will be walking the path again." She nodded, not taking her eyes off of the Signal. Putting it in the pouch I had with the Saturn Signal already in it, I moved to get back on the Chocobo.
Yuna didn't miss a beat. She ran over to her Chocobo and mounted it in record time. The rest hurried to get on their Chocobos. And off we went.
"While we are here, we might as well get Tidus's Celestial Weapon. It is here in the Calm Lands." I called out, leading them towards the gorge. Yuna, who was beside me, nodded. I raced there, and Tidus beat me there. The guy that normally stood there had moved to watch us approach.
"I loved that! You guys raced well." He told us as we passed him. I slowed down as I took the slope down. As I got to the bottom, I faced the wall. Tidus pulled up beside me. I pulled out the Celestial Mirror and held it close to the wall.
Tidus got off of his Chocobo as the wall crumbled, revealing a chest. The light from the Mirror opened the chest, and Tidus reached in. When he pulled his hand out, in it was Caladbolg. He swung it a couple of times and seemed to like it.
He put the sword away and asked me where to next. My response was that we were heading to Besaid. We were going to walk through the world again. He nodded and said that he would guard both me and Yuna until we defeated Sin.
He mounted his Chocobo and raced to the Airship. Well, we all raced to the Airship. When we got there, we dismounted our Chocobos and entered the airship. Cid was waiting for us on the bridge.
"Where to?" He asked us when we settled in. I told him that we would start gathering special weapons that would help us defeat Sin once and for all. And that no more summoners would be sacrificed. He couldn't contain his excitement. First, we had to drop Wakka in Luca, I told him. Tidus asked if he should help him. I looked at Yuna.
"If need be, I will help guard Yuna as well as you," Drew spoke up. Yuna nodded and told Tidus to join Wakka to get his weapon. Tidus nodded and thanked Drew. When we made it to Luca, Wakka asked me what he needed to do.
"You need to win enough Blitzball games. And then, when you reach the top of the league you will get your Sigil." I told him sternly. Tidus cheered and said that he would make sure Wakka made it to the top. That is what we were hoping for.
After we said our goodbyes, I led Yuna to the cafe that would hold Wakka's weapon. When we got there, I told the barkeep that I wanted the locked chest that she had. She pulled it out and said that she could never open it, so if I wanted it I could have it. I didn't think she would actually give it to me. I opened it up and grabbed World Champion out. Now Wakka had to make it to the top to get the Sigil.
"I thought Wakka had to win lots of Blitzball to get it," Yuna remarked as we left. I told her it was a gamble that we would get it before he did, but he still had to win a lot of games and make it to the top to get the Signal. I then told Yuna we needed to book passage to Besaid, and asked if she would make the arrangements. She looked at me curiously but left to make the arrangements.
I headed to the Aurochs locker room, Ben and Drew following me. When I got there, Wakka and Tidus looked at me funny. I walked over to the last locker and opened it. After tossing out many bloody and stained clothes, I found it. It was the Jupiter Crest, buried at the bottom. As I walked out, I pocketed the Crest and gave Wakka and Tidus a thumbs-up. I moved to join Yuna. As we got toward the docks, I heard a familiar voice.
"We have a boat ready to go. What were you up to?" Yuna called out from the dock we were coming up to. I pulled out the Crest and showed Yuna. She gasped.
"You found one!" She exclaimed excitedly. When I nodded, she continued. "I booked a boat that will take us to Besaid. We leave as soon as you are ready." I told Yuna to take me to the boat, and when we got there I told everyone that we were ready.
